I always have great service at this location!! Ms. Carter is a great beautician and the atmosphere is pleasant and comfortable. I have a health problem and they treat me like I am family. The services are worth the price.

So I went to get a perm. I wanted curl. All I got was yucky feeling hair. I knew there was a problem when she was reading instructions. If my hair wasn’t going to be permed they should have told me. They are the professionals. Puja did it and I am assuming she is new. I asked her if everything was okay as she was removing the rods. She seemed stressed.On top of that which is bad enough my entire back was soaked.I spent over 100 for this and I’m curious and now even more stressed out. My hair looks horrible. No curl at all.

Alneisha was amazing! I went for a silk press and was in and out within less than 2 hours (which is miraculous for me)! She was very courteous and professional. Definitely recommend to anyone needing their hair end, especially if they’re natural. Best experience I’ve had by far!

The worst cut I have ever gotten bar none. She refused to listen to anything I said and over charged me. I had to go back the next day and show the manager what she did to my hair and she did what she could to fix it which wasnt much when its that short and she returned my money.

My wife been there for hair relaxing treatment, they charged $160, 4 days later when she wash the hair its all tangled up again.When we complain about that they simply refused to take any responsibility on results.I will never recommend going there ever again.

I didn’t get the cut I wanted (my stylist only barely glanced at the cut. She did a short bob and I wanted a long pixie with shaggy layers. My layers are more straight than shaggy and one side of my face frame hair is longer than the other. That would have been fine if it was the side that actually had more hair and not the other side)and it took over two hours for me to get in and out. I was also charged for a precision cut when I don’t see how what I got was classified as precision. My stylist went at a snails pace the entire time. It’s frustrating when I have other things to do and a simple haircut takes so long. The only reason my stars aren’t lower is at least the cut I did get is semi cute. Not what I wanted and I’m going to have to let it grow out some before I get it fixed, but it’s okay for nowETAWhile I appreciate the refund, both my husband and I agree that it was completely unprofessional to not have the gift card ready and waiting for him to pick up. He waited almost half an hour for the girl to get the gift card ready for him. Their eagerness to help is overshadowed by they amount of time it takes to get anything done.

I’ve been going to Alneisha for about a month now! She is soooo Awesome!!! Extremely professional, and very passionate about what she does! She always makessure that I’m happy with my hair before I leave. I am a life time client! She is definitely 1 of a kind!

I went in for a wash and flat iron and left with half of my hair cut off. She asked if I wanted a cut which usually means trim and she basically cut all of my hair off. She continuously asked if I wanted things and never mentioned any additional costs. I would not recommend anyone to this hair salon that has natural hair!

I came to this salon today to fix an awful perm that I got done at a different salon yesterday. Alneisha was my stylist and she was amazing! Before I came in I thought my hair was so destroyed that I would need to cut it all off, Alneisha gave me a deep conditioning treatment that gave my hair life again and she was able to keep my hair long and only cut off the dead ends. I am very pleased with my experience here!

It was a terrible experience. Before I moved to Austin I used a SmartStyle, and I had been to this particular one once before with good results, but this lady was a disaster. I went to get my eyebrows waxed and definitely regretted it.Jackie (according to the receipt) was the only one working. She did not give me a towel to put behind my neck, she did not ask how I wanted my brows to looks, and Im 95% certain she did not wear gloves (they usually do). She couldnt seem to manage putting wax on, applying the cloth, and removing the hair in one go around. She reapplied wax to areas shed already waxed. She tried to use tweezers on a few hairs, but it felt like she was pulling on clumps of hair and not actually pulling them out. She got wax in my hair (on both sides of my face) and the first time tugged it out and ripped a decent amount of hair out of my head with it. She left the wax in my hair on the other side. She pushed on my eyelids (over my eyeballs) in a horribly uncomfortable way and I thought she was going to damage my eyes and contacts the way she pushed. She pushed on my head and hurt my neck (remember the lack of neck towel?). She was wearing a jangly bracelet that constantly rubbed over my mouth and nose. In fact, her entire wrist was resting on my face during a portion of it.After the waxing, she scrubbed at my face to get the remaining wax off and I had trouble keeping my eyes shut with how much force she put into rubbing my eyelids. I barely managed to not have cleaning solution in my contacts and she still didnt manage to get all the wax off. I later discovered the edge (about half a centimeter of my left eyebrow) of one brow was covered in wax.It was horrible and I should have gotten up and left within the first minute or so, but Im not good with this sort of situation. When she was finally done, I said it was fine and got out at quickly as possible. As I sat in my car and looked at the damage I realized that my brows dont even look the same anymore and theyre way too thin in some places. My face hurts and stings in ways waxing has never done before. It was terrible.I havent decided if Ill ever walk into that salon again. Maybe if I ever see that first stylist (I wish Id have gotten her name) Ill go back, but this whole experience has turned me off of SmartStyles and that walmart altogether right now.

I wanted a complete change. My hair has been the same for the past 25yrs. The stylist SHONDA was amazing. I told her kinda what I wanted but told her to use her judgement based on my hair and she gave me exactly what I was wanting. I love my hair...I plan to continue seeing her!!!

5 stars for SHONDA the manager! Book with Shonda and she will make sure you leave with exactly what youre asking for!! Seriously! Shes fixing my hair from another worker and is so attentive and helpful!
