I’ve been going to Bob’s for 12 years now. It is literally a walk back into time. It’s what a barber shop is supposed to be. Everyone is super friendly, there’s always good conversation and they always give great haircuts. These guys are craftsmen in their arts. I love going there.

The owner gave me the cleanest fade ever. Very friendly service and a nice atmosphere. A very skilled barber, will definitely be back.

These guys are fantastic. Family owned and extremely friendly guys here. Im not talking fake friendly. They remember people and their lifes stories, and tune in to who you are as a person. Its pretty cool, and very different from most other places you might visit to give patronage. Theyre also carry friendly, which Ive always appreciated. Oh, and I almost forgot to mention, great haircuts, too!

You cant find real barbershop anymore, where you go in and just get your haircut. Now everywhere calls themselves barbershop yet its all has tv, noisy and random bs products.I love going here bc its straight up old school. They remember you, its hair pricing for the same haircuts.Cant ask for anymore then this.

Great place been going there for almost 15 years. The staff are great and fun to talk to, good old fashion barbershop, prices are good for the quality, when I go they trim my hair and beard all in one. My favorite barber is Curtis I just walk in and he knows how I like it!

This was hands down the worst haircut I have ever gotten. Maybe not as bad as supercuts, but close. I knew it would be bad when he was done in 15 minutes. I had to go to another place to have them fix it. And they tried to talk politics to me the whole time

Couldve gotten a better haircut at Great Clips or something. I guess skin tight means use the worst clippers you got and make the sides look like my haircut is almost a week old. Definitely wont be going back there.

Great place to get your haircut!! For $16 (I always give a $20 and call it good) you get what could cost you $70 at a salon. It is the old style barber shop that has friendly barbers that remember who you are when you come in. Try it and you will be back!

I got my hair cut here back in 2015 and I still think about it sometimes. I dont go anymore because its just too far away from me now, but Im telling you this place is the best.Let me put it this way: they were watching Fox News and it was around the time that gay marriage was legalized. Well, the barbers were saying some low-key homophobic stuff and it made me feel very uncomfortable since Im gay. Despite all that, Id go back. Thats how good the cut was. Best haircut of my life.

Awesome haircut experience. Vintage barbershop look inside - from an old soda machine to the set up of the whole place, this place is really cool. I got a haircut from Phillip, whos a super nice and easy to talk to barber. The price is also very reasonable, 16 bucks for a standard mens haircut and they clean up your neck and the back of your head with a straight blade at the end. Highly suggest going here!

I stopped by Bobs Barber Shop today after searching for a real, old-fashioned barber shop - not a hair salon - and I got exactly what I was looking for.The service was excellent. The decades of experience are unrivaled from this multi-generational family-operated business of ~60 years. My barber kept a friendly conversation with me the whole time. At the end, he used warm shaving cream and a straight razor to finish the trim. Outstanding.All this came with a very competitive price, too. The value for your money at Bobs Barber Shop is terrific.I expect Ill be coming back to Bobs for years to come!

Ive been going to Bobs barber shop for over 15 years...Honest-to-god barber shops are a dying breed... The world is being taken over by fancy stylist shops andits rare to find an honest-to-god barber shop...But Bobs Barber Shop is the real deal its just as much a real honest-to-god barbershop is the ones I visited as a kid back in the 60s some things never change and some things never need to!as long as theyre still open and Im still in Austin I will never go any place else!!!

I have been getting my hair cut at Bobs for 20 years. It is the best Barber Shop in the county. They still use hot lather and a straight razor to top off the cut. Old school cutting at its best. One Barber in particular is coming up on his 50th year cutting hair, a true milestone. If you want the best cut at the best price, Bobs is the place to go.

I recently relocated to Austin and found Bobs Barber Shop close by. I was immediately welcomed with a hello by both barbers and took a seat. During the haircut, the barber was talkative and friendly and he cut my hair exactly the way I wanted it. I wont be going anywhere else!

The service was horrible I told the barber I wanted a taper fade and he gave me everything but what Ive ask for them I didnt get a edge up or proper facial care afterwards and I still got charged $18

I followed Phillip from Petes Flat Top Shop when Pete retired. It should tell you something that I live in South Austin and go up north to get my hair cut there. Good prices, little to no wait, friendly guys and old school barbering at its best. So, what are you waiting for?

Ok first off the haircut I received was amazing and I would in most circumstances return here again. The prices were great and its very clean. But my problem was the environment in the barbershop. Immediately upon entering the shop, two gentlemen, one of which was one of the barbers, were discussing problems with other races and experiences with black men in their previous years in the service. Ive heard all this type of talk so I brushed it off. Then the two men begin talking about their views on homosexuality. They mentioned that its not natural and how gay men know what happened in Soddom and Gommorah. All in all this type of talk was generally offensive to a half black, half middle eastern gay man and Im not sure that I would subject myself to that again just for a cheap haircut.

I have been a customer at Bobs for several years now, one of the best Barbers at Bobs was a man named Big-ums who really knew his business like no other. And for the life of me I cant find another Barber that can cut a business mans hair-cut like he could, hell not even Bob could match him..Sorry Bob..Lol.But that is not why Im writing this review, this is about how another person had gone out of their way to bash Bob cause Bob didnt have the same views in life as he did and was going to make sure that Bob was going to pay a price for it.Why you felt that you had to go out so far to seek out what was clearly an non-Gay establishment is beyond me, and why you had felt the need to smear a good mans reputation to bolster your own agenda is really sorry and this has nothing to do with social justice in the first place.Like I had mentioned from the beginning, I have patroned Bobs barber shop for years and have never asked Bob or any other Barber that worked at his establishment if he or anyone else that worked there if they were gay cause I really didnt care if they were because it wasnt important enough to know. I didnt go there to seek social justice I went there to get a good hair-cut and that was it.I never asked Bob if he was gay because it was never that important for me to know or even care if Bob was gay or not or if he had supported a gay agenda because I didnt care!.Of all the conversations that I had with Bob and the independent contractors that worked there, nothing was ever mentioned about gays nor their issues cause it was never that important to bring up in the first place.We had conversations about politics, about Bobs family, about my job, sports (Lordy dont bring up this subject if you want to leave 30 mins after your cut is finished) And that was it. Hell it took almost a year before Bob even mentioned anything about his wife but then again I didnt care about that because I wasnt there looking for something to bash a good.salt of the earth type of individual because I believed that the universe spun around my own personal agenda.Bob probably doesnt care to read this type of post nor hasnt the time to but in case you do Bob I just want to say that you have a pretty good establishment there and even though you cant match Big-ums style you still do a pretty good job, worth coming back too.
