Krissy gave me the best haircut of my life. I havent had a haricut since quarantine started which was about 4x longer than Ive ever gone before. I had no idea what to do with my hair to make it look good and she was beyond helpful. For anyone else with curly hair I have around a 2C and she knew how to deal with it perfectly.

This is the best barber shop I’ve been to in Austin. The barbers are all friendly and the atmosphere is very welcoming. Barrett always gets my hair looking just right and I won’t go anywhere else.

This is a fantastic barbershop and its well reviewed for a good reason. It was clean, respecting of everyones safety, and the service was fantastic. Kristina was excellent and I could not recommend her more. Within a minute of looking over my hair she identified mistakes made by a previous barbershop and knew exactly how to fix my hair and give it a fresh cut. The atmosphere was wonderful, and everyone was so kind and friendly.

Best barber shop in Texas, if not in USA. Being form Europe I am not happy with how hair is done in the US and the price to quality ratio. There are only a few people that know how to do it right: shed being the best. Tip: ask for Rob he is the master mind.

She had an idea how to clean up the back in a way I dont usually do it, so I tried it her way and I love it. Super professional, great energy, good conversation. 10/10 would recommend.

Today was my first time going to Shed and I was very surprised .. I came in on time and Noah was walking up to greet me and take my temperature. And sprayed my hands 🙌🏽 with hand sanitizer. The shop was very well themed and it’s associates were all very pleasant. One even compliment my shirt and that made my day...Noah took his time and I never felt like he was rushing to finish. A few place’s I’ve been over the course of a few months I felt like they try to semi bond with you only to have you up and out in 15 mins.. For that I booked my next appointment without hesitation. I paid just a few $$$ more than I normally do but it was money well spent...Thanks Noah for the tight cut...

Three years ago when I moved to Austin I couldn’t find a good barber. Id always go in rolling the dice on if I’d get a terrible cut or not. The moment I found SHED barber and Santiago I could never go anywhere else. Santiago has been cutting my hair for almost 2 years now and today was my last visit as I’m moving to Houston. Thankful for how much care and skill he put into each appointment, never had a better barber. The environment and barbers make this place outstanding and I couldn’t recommend it more.

Cool people cutting hair and easy to book an appt. If you pay with credit card, they can keep it on file so its quick to get in and out. Also this location has a vibe thats more kickback and small barbershop that I found more welcoming compared to their Holly location. Haircut was good. Will go back.

My car broke down right in front of the shop and they had 2-3 guys come out almost immediately and attempt to help me figure out what was going on. It’s been over a year since I was able to make it back into SHED but I’m glad I did. My beard was in serious need of expert hands. Cisco worked on me and he was awesome!! I’ve had the fortune to have a few of the guys there at SHED keep me trimmed up and none have disappointed. So if you can’t get into see one, just know they ALL do excellent work and know what they are doing. Bonus that the atmosphere is on point.

This was my fist time going to true Barber versus getting a quick cut from a stylist. I got a hair cut and a beard trim from Santiago I could not be happier. He did a great job and gave me some tips on beard maintenance between cuts. I told my wife how much my cut cost compared to my old place, her response was it was worth it.

I asked around to some bearded men I ran into where I should get my beard cut in Austin. 3 out of the 5 said to go to the shed. Made an appointment online. Had a good time. I am happy with the results and will be back.

Best in Austin. I went and Lauren gave me a cut that was perfect. Ive gone to all the other popular places in Austin and the stylists could never get it right. Keep in mind, you do have to call and place an appointment before going as there arent walk-ins. Highly recommend it!

I have been coming to Shed Barbershop for a year and have always had excellent service. Barrett Powers is my barber and have recommended him to many of my friends because he is awesome. He is polite, professional and a beast with his clippers. He remembers how I want my hair cut and the process is very easy.

Im very happy with the haircut I recently got at SHED. The person who cut my hair really listened and worked with me to achieve the look I wanted. She even walked me out and expressed that she would be available for follow-up questions. I now consider myself a regular (and Im not alone since several customers there seemed to have similar status).

I love Shed Barber Shop and Art is my guy! I see him every 3 to 4 weeks. Occasionally I go in and get a beard trim or a shave. The hot towels are a nice touch. If you cant get in to see my guy Art, then go with Michael. Although Im comfortable saying that all the folks at Shed are top notch!

All the barbers here are great. Very friendly staff and the very skilled barbers. Before moving to Austin I would drive 2 hours one way once a month to get my hair cut here. They have complimentary drinks and always play good music.

Im not the type of guy to think about what type of haircut I should get, so I need to be able to trust my barber enough to just say do what you think looks good on me. I get just that with Heather. Sorry for the lengthy post, but if you care about your haircut then it’s worth the read. Here are the cliff notes though:1) Great customer service with the ability to book an appointment online.2) Great barbers who are actually trained in/ passionate about their craft. I had Tyler, but they all seem great.3) Free beer and hot shave are added bonuses.4) Cost: $35 + tip (Yes, this is the standard rate for almost all barbershops in Austin).Long review:Having recently moved back to Austin, I was trying to find a barber, a real barber, to replace my previous barber of 2+ years. I have two standards in a barber: 1) great craft/ an actual barber 2) being able to make an appointment. I’m writing this, because I feel like other guys are/ will be in the same position that I was in.I was recommended to go to the standard places in Austin like Birds, Finley’s, Floyd’s, but I just wasn’t impressed with the service or the haircut. There are also other good barbers in town, such as Avenue on South Congress (where I used to go), but all of these places are walk-in only. Unless you are young or retired, no one has time to wait for hours at the barbershop. I need to be able to schedule an appointment around my work schedule.I found SHED while scanning through Google Maps, and it seemed to meet my initial criteria. I went in after work, and Tyler was a great guy and gave me the exact haircut that I was looking for. I will definitely be returning, and I’ve found my barber in Austin!Here are some tips for your first haircut with a new barber: Bring pictures of what you want, especially pictures of your last haircut if that’s the look that you are going for. A picture really does say 1,000 words in this case. Even better, have pictures from multiple angles, so that you can show the barber exactly what you are hoping for. This is way better than trying to verbally describe what you want, and then expecting them to read your mind, and you leaving slightly disappointed that they didn’t nail it.Also, go back a few times to the same barber before you decide to try somewhere else. Consistency takes time, you can’t expect a perfect cut the first time from someone who doesn’t know you. (The exception here, is my experience with Tyler, who exceeded my expectations!).Give your barber some creative freedom. They are professionals dedicated to their craft. They do this day-in and day-out. Not only are they up-to-date on current trends, but they also know how to apply them to your unique head shape/ hairline. I always lead with, “This is what I’m looking for, but I’m open to suggestions on how to alter it for an even better result.”If you can’t already tell. I had a great experience. A great enough experience to write an essay about it, which I know is ironic coming from the guy who says that he doesn’t have time to wait at a walk-in only barber shop. Good luck! SHED is my only and my favorite barber in Austin. I always go to Tyler who is perfect for me; knows exactly what I want and is a cool dude.Everyone else there has chill vibes and they also have comedy nights for free! It’s a nice staple to the Bouldin neighborhood and I’ll keep going to these folks for a long time.Note that weekends can sometimes limit parking, which has nothing to do with SHED, so I recommend getting there early and chilling with the cool employees.

Shed is awesome. Best barber shop Ive ever been to. Its a collaborative environment and each of the barbers Ive had take the time to do the best job possible - always a great result. Santiago was excellent.

Tucked away in a small strip mall, this barbershop is the best of the best. The barbers are all friendly and talkative so the place has a cool and relaxed feel about it. They take their time to make sure that you get the haircut you want, and will remember it for next time too. Booking appointments online is a huge plus, since my specific barber there tends to be booked out through the two weeks they allow appointments to be reserved. My only complaints are that parking is sometimes hard, their lot has really small spots, and that I wish I could book appointments up to a month in advance.

Its really difficult to find a barber shop that you feel comfortable with but, thats how I feel at Shed. The atmosphere is fun with a wall of vinyl albums playing In the background. There is nothing more relaxing than sipping on a cold beer while getting a hot towel treatment and a straight razor clean up. The staff is fun, knowledgeable, and all very skilled at their craft. Ive been there four times so far and I will continue to patronize their shop as long as I live near Austin. I cant say enough good things about the shop and in particular, my barber Ashley. Booking appointments is easy with their online booking portal.

I picked this barber because of its high ratings on Google. I have been here once before, booked with a guest barber and was very happy with the haircut. This time I showed up for my 5:30 appointment, on the dot, to find they had started cutting the hair of the 6pm appointment (turns out that guy was their friend). They asked me if I would like them to stop that guys haircut, which had already started, so I said no I will go for a drink and call back at 6pm for his appointment. I called back at 6pm, got my haircut but it wasnt great. They seem to have a policy of turning you away from the mirror while cutting your hair, never checked if the length they were cutting on top was ok and they cut it way too short. Obviously wont be back.

Art lives up to his name when it comes to a haircut. He really understands when your style is and is vary consistent on his work, might I add he vary quick! I have to say hes been the best barber Ive ever had! Thanks for all the haircuts and the many more hair cuts to come!!

Really disappointed in their online booking system. Booked an appointment and arrived for them to tell me they didnt have anything in their system. Add to that they best they could do is to fit me in the next week. Every time I go to book an appointment online it usually is a week or longer of a lead time in order for me to get my haircut.....Really like enjoy Rob cutting my hair because he does a baller job but if youre looking for convenience you may be out of luck.

Booked my first apt with Justine off their website with only a 2 day notice. She was ready as soon as I arrived, and I immediately felt comfortable and like I was in the right place with the right person. She rocks in so many ways! Personable, cool, relaxed and fun to be with. She took as much time as we needed to discuss a new look for me. I had some pics on my phone that helped that process. She gave good suggestions too, and then created basically the exact thing I was thinking, but better! Finally found a stylist that I vibe with, trust and understands my look. I hope she doesnt go away!! Haha I found my new spot.
