First of all, Jenna creates a safe space for anyone to get their hair done. This is so great for chicks like me who like more of an androgynous look and cool, fun fades. Even when I need to tone things down for work and do a scissor cut, Jenna always gets my look on point. If I show her a picture or two or five of how I want my hair done, she hits the nail on the head 100% of the time. I’d highly recommend her services. If you haven’t already, go see Jenna for a one-of-a-kind experience and get ready for the compliments to come your way the moment you leave the salon!

Jenna is the best kept secret in South Austin. Id consider myself an unreasonable customer and have run the gamut switching between barbers and stylists (from $20-65) around town -- barbers typically do a great job on the sides, but a terrible job up top, and stylists are the opposite. Jennas done an outstanding job on both each time shes cut my hair. A lot of cuts look good for a week and then grow out terribly, but my hair looks great from day 1 - 26. Shes an independent barber and cuts out of a backyard studio, so its doubly awesome that more of my $ goes straight to her and not a salon or shop.

Jenna is amazing and I would highly recommend her. You can tell that she takes pride in her craft. She cares about your haircut as much as you do. I have gone to several other places in Austin and have missed THIS level of attention to detail. This is old school authentic hair styling and it sadly missed in the era of chain run franchise hair cutters. 10/10. Shes got my business.

I have never loved a haircut as much as I love the one Jenna gave me. I showed her a few pictures and then basically said “like these but just do your thing” and then she worked her magic. Ten out of ten would recommend. Super clean and I enjoyed the vibe of her space. Also the online scheduling made things wicked easy and efficient. The whole experience was professional and comfortable at the same time. The hair powder is something I can’t stop thinking about and will definitely grab next time I’m in! It’s been a couple weeks since my cut and I’m still obsessed.

This girl can work some textured hair! She trimmed my hair down, faded it up, and added the perfect tone of pink to the top just like I wanted. Shes very professional, clean, pleasant, and she informs you about the products she uses. Shes in her own studio. One client at a time. No contact (gloves and masks). She can trim up your sides like the mask isnt even there! Get on over to Bragglight and treat yourself. Stay safe AND look good. She really knows what shes doing.

Seriously the best hair cut I have ever received! Went in to chop off all my hair, and came out looking amazing! I have had multiple various strangers tell me how amazing my hair looks, as well as all of friends. Jenna did a phenomenal job, she was fast, and extremely thorough. She obviously has a lot of experience and knew exactly how to make my haircut lay well, and be easy to style. Cant wait to go, and honestly cant say enough amazing things about how my new hair makes me look and feel!

I’ve been to a handful of places around town and you honestly can’t compare the average barber with someone who really gets how to do a haircut with a razor. I only trust 2 people with my hair and Jenna is one of them. Jenna is primarily known for her short cuts and not nearly known enough for the amazing work she does with long hair. Have you ever gotten your long hair cut and no matter what you say, they cut off way more then you wanted? Text book long hair problems. This is never my experience with Jenna and thats why I will travel a thousand miles to her austin location. I do not know HOW Jenna manages to cut off so much hair and still keep the length, but I have an idea. She cuts it dry which is one of the main differences in my past experiences and I believe this is key. If you have long hair, I highly reccommend Jenna if you want to keep your length and come out with a healthy cut. When Im complimented on my hair its primarily for the long layers and front layers that shape my face. Thank you Jenna for always making time for me!

Im FTM, and Jenna has been amazing and super supportive throughout my transition so far. She understands my specific needs as a transman and always gives a good result. The shop has a very welcoming and chill environment, and I always have a good time when I stop by. Definitely recommend her for anyone in or allied to the LGBTQ community.
