If you’re looking for a safe place to live, I would check this complex off your list. Police sirens are frequent in this complex, there are no cameras and the “security gate” is open 24/7, contradictory to what was advertised when I signed my lease. The staff is polite, but do not help you come up with solutions for safety. Vehicle theft in particular. My vehicle was targeted twice and I’ve spoken to my neighbors and they or someone they know on the property have had similar instances. The parking app does not specifically state their rules and neither does your signing lease. It’s open season for towing and theft. Service requests and valet trash are always behind. The trash compactor broke and since then, trash is everywhere. The grills are disgusting, and I’ve witnessed drug use every weekend I’ve gone to the pool. Decent price, but not worth it.
I moved into Oxford at Tech Ridge apartments in February 2016 and I loved the community. Shortly after management changed and it became a whole new story.Since November 2017 my storage unit had been broken into twice. The first theft was on Thanksgiving week 2017.After the first time I was told they would install a deadbolt on storage unit doors. When I followed up months later, they were very rude to me and basically said “We are not going to do that” in a harsh voice. The second time was in January 2019. After the second theft I reported my storage unit was broken into I got zero response, literally none. It is apparent they do not care about tenants property. The security gate was consistently broken. In 2019 from June 1st to about November 4th it was broken. Even when not broken it is disabled, especially on the weekends, usually pushed off the track. When gate is open people drive far too fast. I have called front office several times and submitted a ticket. Not a thing has been done. Not an email to the community or group text, not a speed limit sign, not a speed bump., Nothing... it is terrifying having kids and dogs in the parking lot, or to even get them in and out of my car. It is obvious they do not care about the safety of tenants. One night a man went to the emergency call box by the pool and was yelling into the box that he would go into an apartment with a gun. I called 911 and stayed up all night by the front door to protect my family. When I told the office in the morning, they told me, “relax, he doesn’t live here”.I consistently got spoken to very rudely by the office when I would call and ask for help or I entered to pick up a package that was in the office. They are annoyed if you need help or service. This shows they do not care about tenants experience or comfort. The breezeways are disgusting, they are stained from leaking trash bags, chewing gum, and trash debris. The valet trash doesn’t pick up on Friday and Saturday so people will leave their trash out all weekend and it is unsightly. This demonstrates the office has no pride in the property. For the last 6 months I had roaches, and had seen roaches in the neighbors trash and by their doors. I checked several other buildings and have seen some roaches in the trash there too. I was originally finding 10-20 per night I do not keep a dirty kitchen or apartment I am not the source of these roaches. When I transferred units to one that was left vacant across the hall, I noticed the carpets and walls were stained, the apartment smelled of old food/cooking, the laminate on the cupboards was peeling, the counters were peeling, and kitchen floor was sticky and was in poor repair. They gave me a spray can of primer/cover up for the walls and that was about it. The closet has an ATT box with cables all over the place. None seem to be used. The office does not care about the quality of units tenants will move into. You cannot have visitors over for more than two nights in a row. My father was driving across country to visit his brother that was just diagnosed with cancer. When I called the office to ask for an exception for my dad because of the circumstances, I was told, ”Those are the rules if you don’t follow them, he will get towed”. There is no understanding or compassion for tenants. The trash compactor is constantly over flowing, the dog bag stations run out of bags so people leave dog poop everywhere. It is not a clean place to live. The fence dividing this community with the one next door was cut open for people to come across unmonitored. I first noticed the fence cut shortly after November 27th 2017 until at least January 2019. It was patched after that and is still substandard as it is held up with zip ties. I don’t feel secure.
Comfy, quiet and clean property, just built within the last ten years, very well maintained. The staff is superb. Manager, Yvonne, and Daphne, her leasing agent are super helpful and patient with everyone. They make one feel at home from the very first minute. Great place!
Amazing pool. Great staff & respectful residents.
My fiance lived here. I love him, but I hated being here. This place is a nightmare. The parking system is dreadful. My car got towed, and you only get a certain amount of times during the month you can park legally. There is trash all over the property. The tenants drive way too fast through the gate. There is a cockroach infestation all over (which is absolutely disgusting), and trust me, management will not do anything about it. The people who work in the office are rude and never helpful. PLEASE save yourself the struggle. There are far better places around this area for the monthly rent Oxford charges you.
I’ve lived at this property a year now and had nothing but good experiences. Everyone in the office has been super helpful, and maintenance is fast to respond and always does a good job. We got a great deal on our apartment and even their higher rates were reasonable for this area. The landscaping is nice and all the community areas look good as well. Overall, this is a great complex!
Lived this apartments since 2016. I like the location and the floor design of the units. However the past one years i have experienced some difficulty which is they add $200 rental price increment for the 1 bed 1b apartment unit that i am currently living in, after back and forth email communication the management was able to address the issue. Now I am experiencing another unfair practice. I am planning to move from 1bed 1 b to 2b 2b apt. below is my honest observation.- they advertise $1265 for 2b 2b apt units that i am interested to move in but actually they ask $1290.- was told there is no transfer fee if i moved to this 2b 2b apt unit during my last month of lease term however, after i paid a so called sure deposit (security deposit), have noticed that additional $250 transfer fee added on the documents that i signed which is completely unfair for me beside it is not that much big deal amount to pay..- this apt complex used to offer a unit washer and dryer but not anymore and there is also no central washer and dryer in the apt complex. This makes you think that the only way to wash your clothes is by buying or renting a washer and dryer from outside.- trash : there is mandatory valet trash service which i never used for the past few years but whether you like it or not you need to pay valet trash server every month. Sometimes it is common to see uncollected trash around.- Sometimes it is common to see big cockroaches in your unite especially during summer time.- Security : even if this apt complex is gated, someone stole my bike from my car garage two years ago..- There is no enough sunlight in the 1b 1b unit that i am currently living in which makes you turn on the kitchen area light bulb during the daytime .Conclusion :Besides all these cons I am still in a dilemma whether to move to a new place or stay here for another year. I will see how things go within a few days and will update my review.Update-Dec 17, 2020: The management able to remove the $250 transfer fee and i am decided to stay this apartment complex for an additional one years.
Shout out to Dafne Quiroz at the leasing office. She made it so easy for my client to decide. I am so glad I took my client over to tour because it was such a great experience. I am glad the office has a person like her working there because it re assures me my clients will be taken care of. Beautiful property!

I just tried calling to ask about apartment availability and Lindsey was extremely rude and dismissive to my needs. Im glad the move-in date I am currently looking for does not coincide with their availability because otherwise, I would absolutely dread having to deal with the disrespectful leasing office staff.
There are not enough maintenance workers for the whole unit. Anything and everything takes long, and Ive never had any semblance of a time frame given to me. The apartment itself is good enough, but there are problems that clearly just get painted over.
I lived at Oxford at Tech Ridge for 3.5 years. And if I had moved out my first year, I would have maybe rated this place a 4 star, now this place gets a negative star review. Wish that was possible. Ive had nothing but issues here after year one. And unfortunately, timing was not right every time my 60-day notice came up. Also, don’t believe the 3 and above stars from anything after 2015. They have given people money to write a positive review because their rating was low.Number 1. I had no lights in my apartment, and when I finally asked for lights, I was told by Yvonne We are waiting for you to move out. First off Yvonne, what does me moving out have anything to do with getting lights in my DARK apartment? The lights that I did have were constantly replaced (roughly every 3 months).Number 2. Valet Trash. LOL good luck. Youll be paying 27 dollars a month for this service (on your water bill) and they MIGHT pick it up. If you leave your trash out past 9 am, you will most likely get a letter telling you to put it inside (unless they like you then maybe you wont). There wasnt a single week that they picked up the trash every day. People constantly leave their cans outside.Number 3. The weights in the weight room have been stolen TWICE in the 3 and a half years I lived here. Friends that lived in this complex also got their cars broken into. They say there is a courtesy officer but I’ve never seen one. And speaking of weight room, none of the treadmills are working.Number 4. The pool. While it is nice, it is incredibly difficult to open those doors. I was leaving the office a few days ago and used the pool area to walk back to my apartment and I smashed my fingers.Number 5. In June 2018, I reported a water leak where the water was leaking from my upstairs neighbor’s A/C unit. Not sure how long this was going on but it got so bad that I had water coming from my light switch in my bedroom. To make matters worse, I had mold (See attached pictures) in my closet. While Yvonne and Valerie think that it was resolved because they have an invoice stating that the wall was replace, it was not. You can clearly see the mold still. This was the last straw for me at this place.Number 6. My upstairs neighbor has left trash on his patio for over 4 weeks. Has management said anything to him? Nope!Number 7. Getting a carport is a joke. I had a carport and I constantly had people who would park in it. They state you can call a towing company but I was never provided the number until I asked. Hey management, wheres that security guard you are supposed to have that is supposed to look for this? Also, if you get a carport, they have no idea what car is supposed to be there because they dont take your plates. I purchased a carport because I was on night shift at the time and they took up all of the good parking spots. Good luck trying to park without one. Some of the spaces are for “compact” cars and all the spots up front are taken by people who don’t even live at the complex.Number 8. The Assistant manager (Valerie) and the manager (Yvonne) are some of the worst people you may come across. Valerie is misinformed on some basic property management information while Yvonne is just plain rude. When I showed her the mold in my apartment Yvonne acted like she didnt even care. When I asked Valerie to come to my apartment she told me she would rather watch the great Dane dog that was in the office (still dont understand why a dog was at your office while you are working) and when she finally came to my apartment after pleading with her (I didnt speak Spanish and I wanted to tell the painters that THEY hired what I wanted done) she slapped me and said, That was all?. Another way Valerie is unprofessional is she loses your personal information. A month ago, I provided her a check regarding my pet deposit that THEY lost in 2015 and she lost it again. Please go live somewhere else. You will do yourself a favor and have less headaches. Because of the MOLD I am giving my apartment number. It was 117.
PARKING SCAM DO NOT RENT : Tenants and all guests are required to register their cars each time they park. There are only two small signs at the front of the complex regarding towing policy, and they are positioned in a manner that is not visible to drivers. No reserved markings or towing signs anywhere near the regular spots within the property. Management was rude on the phone when I kindly asked them to turn the signs to face the drivers line of sight. Ive never been to a complex with a parking policy like this, and Ive been in the Austin area since 02. The complex and its management are blatently unethical and are completely fine with screwing residents/guests for profits obtained through their contract with the towing company. Dont burden yourself with the inevitable stress that you will experience as a resident here. RENT ELSEWHERE.
Dont move here. This is the worst apartment complex you can live in. You call the office and no one answer. Call maintenance and they call you back when they feel like it. My daughter having problems in her apartment and she called the office. Everyone left for a Christmas party. But yet they still want you to pay rent on time.
I am living here for almost 2 years now. Its a gated community and location is convenient. Apartments are new and includes all necessary amenities. Maintenance staff is quick to resolve issues and property management staff is also welcoming and ready with answers. No complaints so far.
Initially when I looked into the Oxford @ Tech Ridge in 2017 it seemed like a nice place to live. At that time the management was a friendly group and made me feel more welcome. Unfortunately, the property got worse as time went by(2 years later). When I moved out, I called Valerie in the front office to ask a few things about my bill before moving out. The bill was just over $100. After almost a week or so later, I was contacted by email saying that I owed almost $550 for the carpet that needed replacement. I asked for proof and they couldnt provide any pictures of why and said that it had already been replaced and that the unit was already leased to a new tenant(This seems like a pattern from other reviews that Ive read). The friend that helped me move out even said my carpet was well taken care of and looked pretty new. Other than that, the dumpster area was always disgusting, & overflowing. The indoor basketball hoop was always broken from the neighboring kids from the Section 8 complex next door, the security gates also were always broken, and parking is terrible.I was always a quiet tenant that always paid on time, and didnt request much. I tried to stay out of the office as much as possible since the non-approachable, unfriendly, falsifying staff members (Yvonne Jones and Valerie) made it feel uncomfortable. I also asked for a contact for the corporate office and was denied the information. This is by far the worst place that Ive lived in Austin so far. I wouldnt recommend this complex to anyone.I hope they treat other Disabled Veterans better than the way I was treated.
You know, living at this complex is like meeting someone new who you thought was great at first but that slowly unravels to show many many flaws.Main griefs:Parking is not at all sufficient to fit guest vehicles let alone the tenants! The spots are marked so incredibly small, you literally have to squeeze in and out of your vehicle to prevent hitting them.Management. Let me say the office workers are fine but the lady who runs the place could give a rats a** about you. Never listens and throws the book at your without even attempting to listen. No empathy, just a crook with profit being her only interest. NOT TO MENTION when applying for a lease elsewhere the front office was so irresponsible as to not even work with the other housing complex to send over my renters information to finalize me new lease! I had to take the physical form in myself to have them sign it.The complex had a pain job done recently and instead pf protecting their tenants private belongings the painters just airbrushed a fresh coat of white pain on my expensive bicycle! No heads up or attempt to allow me to remove my bike.Minor issues:The stairs and walkways are stained and just unsightly. The driveways in the complex are so uneven unless you crawl your vehicle is going to bottom out.I’m sure there’s more to say but let the one star speak for itself.
I have been here for a few months and it is mixed experience so far. I had a roaches problem and still have roaches in the apt and it is very annoying. While I like the space and the location, the office team seems to be a little bit more disconnected and not catering to individual needs. I would not recommend the place if you have other options.
You will be over charged to rent at a complex that is only out to get their money. Check rates when you move in. When we toured we were shown a layout that we liked. We call to put a deposit the next day and the apartment had already been rented. We were told there was another apartment with the same layout just higher rent. So we went ahead and signed for it. Once we arrived to view our now home we realized that it was not the same layout. We talked to the office and told that this was the one in our budget that we had mentioned, but what they failed to mention was that there was an apartment with the layout we actually wanted it was just like $20 outside of our “budget”. So now, we are in the apartment layout we wanted but paying about $200 more than the original apartment we looked at that was the exact same layout. We were charged for our ESA dog to live with us, we paid the deposit for ours and told that we couldn’t register our second dog as an ESA because she would not accept it because it looked like we were scamming her. Had she know that back story we had just recently adopted our dog and had been training her. But since we would be charged no matter what you can see how it made us feel about the situation. You will never be able to park next to your living space. The garages are expensive and you basically HAVE to get one to park close to your home. The community is NEVER actually gated. The gate was hit and broken for SEVERAL month, but before that it wasn’t closed anyways after it’s been fixed it’s STILL not closed. But have no fear because they gave everyone parking permits and visitors are suppose to register to park. If you aren’t registered you will be towed!! What A Joke. I would love to know how many car have actually been towed because I have seen a truck with no permit parked outside my house for a solid month! We aren’t supposed to have visitor for more than two days in a row.My second bedroom and living room do not have an actual light in the room, just a fan. There’s also a box of cables in my closet with the box popped out and wires sticking out, the office made sure to tell me that it wasn’t the complex that took care of that, it was ATT. The maintenance people don’t really understand the concept of fixing a problem. My ac still doesn’t run right. My door lock still hasn’t been fixed. Maintenance came out twice to “fix” fix ac and no one ever came out to fix my door lock. Don’t expect to be able to use the pool without there being some sort of party going on, all the visitors you can imagine that probably shouldn’t be there since you are only allowed two, and the hood rats from the complex next door using the pool also. Also, the basketball court normally has the kids from the complex next door. The apartments next door also have the cops out consistently. There was an apartment that a window was shot out and the community was never told about it. My gun was stolen shortly after that happened when my car was broken into. They don’t fix the lights that are out in the hallways. My neighbors are always smoking weed. There is always dog poop that hasn’t been picked up and the dog trash bags will be empty at least once a week, which I guess that explains why there is normally poop on the ground. There is a valet trash service, it is supposed to pick up the trash at your front door between a certain timeframe but you can expect it to probably not even be picked up a few times during the month. And you can find random trash bags left in the court yard sometimes that they just forgot to pick up after they collected them. Plus the giant trash can that always ends up overflowing. It’s a big eye sore.Good luck if you move in and have any issue the management and upper regional management are a joke. They will just tell you that there’s nothing they can do... please, let’s be real here. That’s all for now, happy hunting!
I want to start by saying that I really enjoy living here. I have been here for a year and I am content with the treatment from the staff and the amenities that I decided to renew for another year. This is a great place to live for families and young professionals that are looking for a safe and peaceful place to live in the North Austin area. The location is very convenient, because it is very accessible to the highway, grocery store, and many other shops. The gym is well equipped with treadmills, elliptical, stationary bikes, free weights and so much more; they also offer free workout classes Tuesdays and Thursdays nights. I really enjoy living here!
I was told today by Yvonne, the property manager, that parking outside the gate is considered safe parking. The parking area is not adequate for the number of vehicles on property making it impossible to find a spot late at night. Yvonne informed me that I could buy a covered parking spot if I needed to park inside the gate? That is a great way for them to make money and me to lose out. I informed them of work vehicles and abandoned vehicles that are making the parking situation worse and the response was we dont know if the work vehicles are the tenants only vehicle and the abandoned vehicles have to be tagged. Ok, do that and stop making excuses. Without a logical and effective parking strategy, safety is a constant concern, seeing how vehicles and buildings are being broken into. Just imagine how parking outside the gate after midnight makes your tenants feel. Basically, Oxford management does not care about the parking and safety of its tenants. Cant wait to move out. DO NOT MOVE HERE....
I just have to say that the staff is amazing! They worked with me for an extended period of time to make sure that I was able to get the apartment I got approved for! They were very respectful, patient and professional with the whole process. The area is really nice and clean. Over 9000 thumbs up!!!
OXFORD AT TECH RIDGE is Awesome!!! Valerie was very welcoming and thorough. The property is quiet and clean. The model apartment home was warm and inviting. The interior comforts are standard while other communities call them upgrades for an additional fee. Love Oxford #mynewhome
Out of all the properties I went to see this one seem to have everything I was looking for and prices I think are pretty decent. Good location, close to the 35 but not to close so you get some quiet. Gym is a good size. Nice realxing pool. Buildings are well spaced out so doesnt feel cluttered. Ive had a wonderful experience with the staff, theyve been very welcoming and informative. Overall great property
I got to have a tour around this establishment and everything was nice from what Ive seen. The apartments themselves looked nice and comfy but not sure how loud the noise could get yet. Only downside Ive seen is that their fitness center is a bit lacking if youre wanting to do a full body workout.
Valerie has been absolutely awesome! We have been looking for a place and we were on a certain time frame, and we came in and everything has gone so smoothly. She has been great since the moment we walked in and the apartment is everything we have been looking for. They also have awesome deals right now! Go check her and these apartments out! Thank you Valerie once more!! ❤️
The recent management change has really shifted the place. Before it took an act of congress to get anything done. Now theyre improving public areas (lighting, grills, grounds, etc.) Its a quiet, safe neighborhood and the transactions with the leasing office have been pleasant as of late. It used to feel like a meat locker going into the office with a request. Now I get to have a refreshment and a snack while I chat about anything I need to bring up. Service is light years from just a few months ago.
I have been so pleased with Oxford at Tech Ridge since the moment I walked in the door. Valerie has been so helpful throughout the whole process and made me feel right at home. She is responsive and happily answers all of my questions. I am very excited to move in!
I highly recommend oxford at tech ridge apartments. I was researching apartments on-line to relocate for a job in Austin and came across this apartment complex. The amenities available for the residents are by far the best Ive seen from looking at other apartments. They are dog friendly and great location to almost everything. Last but not the least, Onalee was very professional, friendly and very informative. She really put my mind at ease knowing that I was in good hand.
Moving has been so easy. The staff has been super helpful and nice to answer any questions we have had from the start. The apartment complex in general is really nice looking and the apartments are really spacious. So glad to have moved here.
Hey Everyone,Oxford at Tech Ridge is great property to stay at. They have amazing customer service and provide my family and I with a great tour of the community. The apartment is up to date on the looks and the bedrooms are big. They also have great deals!
Valerie was super helpful! She worked with me on my move in date and found one of the floor plans that I liked. The amenities are great! The gym has way more than most apartment gyms!
So I spent almost 2 years here. Moved out Feb/2015. Management is professional and friendly. The area is very safe, Apartments near many shops and restaurants. There is a pretty big dog park that is fenced in for dogs to have fun. They have a good clean gym. Fitness classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The pool is big, feels like your on vacation! Gated entrance. The apartments are good looking. Stainless steel appliances. Washer and dryer included.High ceilings.Good size patios. Garages are available, they also have storage rooms.Always had my maintenance issues resolved the day of, or the next day.No major issues or complaints in the two years i spent here. I highly recommend these apartments. Only reason i moved out is because i bought a house.
I would give it 5 stars but only because upon move in the make ready was not complete, the GD was not working and we had leaks in the kitchen sink due to that. It was just some oversights that could of been prevented, but i understand that unforeseeable things can occur and you cant always have it perfect. Other than that the staff is wonderful, very kind and welcoming! Love the maint. crew they are so helpful and speedy when it comes to work orders. I loved the fact that the leasing staff dont mind staying a couple of min late so you can catch your packet when you also work 8-5, that to me is beyond considerate when they are going out of their way to ensure their residents are happy and understand that we cant all make it by 5:30. Good job guys! Keep up the good work :)
Oxford at Tech Ridge is the best apartment in Northeast Austin. Great amenities and location. Valerie and OnaLee sold me when I toured, and helped me get moved in within a week. Very helpful! I love my apartment!
The first time I came here I had an ok experience. I decided to give them a second chance and it seemed to be new people and I had a great experience and decided to sign a lease. Nice apartments and decently priced. What really made me leave this review is how the office answers the phone everytime I call! Ive never been able to reach the office via phone through the 8 years Ive been renting. They made moving in easy and are quick to reply. They text me which is very convenient.
First time getting/searching for an apartment in Austin TX. The staff at oxford at tech ridge made it so easy and no pressure what so ever to choose them, which is why I chose this apartment. Not to mention the apartment itself is nice and roomy. Special thanks to Onolee, and Valerie for being so patient with me and always happy to help.😍
Staff is very friendly and helpful! Valeria was able to help us find the floor-plan that was in our budget and exactly what we wanted. Overall great service with great amenities!
So far we have lived here for roughly 1 1/2 years, and it has been a great experience overall. The management team (Yvonne, Valeria and OnaLee) as well as the new maintenance staff are some of the most professional, kindhearted people weve come to know. Valeria has always been accomodating and gone the extra step. They do an excellent job at managing the apartments and creating a safe, friendly community. Being in Real Estate for a living i have seen many types of workers and these are by far some of the best. They took an okay at best apartment complex and turned into a great place to live.
Best place ive ever lived at. It’s super quiet and maintenance is usually spot on. The ladies up front are super polite and are great communicators.
The worst apartment ever seen, Zero management. I lived there for two years i had three water floats;Twice in building 6 ( pipe busted )then they moved me to building 2, i had overflow water from laundry machine...., also A/C problem and when i called and asked for repair they said because temperature is not over 86F we are not going to fix it !Beside all this i paid for covered parking but never was available to park! Each time someone is parking thereI complained several times to office no reaction to the issue. The only person had always the same spot to park was the sheriff lived there (He was the security officer of the property)I don’t suggest this complex to no oneIs a nightmareI asked my neighbors also they had issues with the office,Management and maintenance are sucks.
DO NOT MOVE HERE! The new management is horrible and they over charge you on rent every month, its never the amount you leased the apartment for plus water and trash. They will charge you up to $300 in water and trash and not give you a receipt or a specific answer as to why its coming out that high. The manager likes to vandalize your plants and decorations that are allowed outside your door when you are home and blame it on the maintenance crew. The point is that I do not feel safe living in these apartments because the manager likes to harass you and because there are no lights outside, making the entire parking lot incredibly dark. Dont move here people!
I have lived here for almost 2 years. At first everything was nice and dandy . When it was time to sign the lease pay the deposit I would get several calls from the office team. Once I signed is like I never existed. The new office manager and the staff are a good example of bad customer service. I got transferred to the assistant just to ask about my account. Leasing agents should be able to answer any question I have . Every night I hear thump from the section 8 apartments next to the Oxfords. The price I pay 1490 I could be paying on a 3 bedroom house. These apartments are over priced. The gate is always broke and I have to drive around to the other end. I cant wait till May to get the f out of here. I am only giving them on star because it doesnt let me do it without giving them at least one stay.
We lived there 2017 there and when we were moving out they lost our 60 day notice and never contacted us about the final move out fees. Which we cleaned the apartment and still got charge $400 of things. During the time I lived there the pool was disgusting and never cleaned it. There was balls of hair in there and trash. After that, I never step in a pool and parking was horrible. I would not recommend living here.
Thus far, the staff has been very informative and helpful throughout the leasing process! Property looks good and the gates look to be in good working order. Easy access to IH35. Eager to get moved in and enjoy my attached garage!!
OnaLee was great! She really helped me pick out the perfect floor plan and was very friendly and knowledgeable, left with all of my questions answered! Definitely looking forward to living here under the current management!
Wonderful property! Valerie was very professional and helpful! Very excited to be living here and will definitely recommend these to everybody I know!Thank you again Valerie!
I did a visit to this property today and was guided by OnaLee, the leasing consultant. The property is verrry nice and I look forward to moving in soon. Very quiet, the grounds are in immaculate condition and the room sizes were very pleasing. I really appreciate all the kitchen cabinet space and beautiful appliances. If you are looking for a community that is near everything but yet discreet, this is your place.
My wife and I are very exciting to move in to Oxford at Tech Ridge. The apartment and all the complex is beautiful. The renting process was a great experience.
This apartment complex is next to a Section 8 apartment complex, so expect the gym and pool to be constantly filled with people that dont live here. The gym was broken into and all its weights and equipment stolen multiple times, so the gym now has almost no equipment. Multiple treadmills and other machines have been broken for over a year with no fix in sight. And best of all, when you move out they will send your final utilities build straight to collections, so youll get a credit hit for their mistakes. Stay away, there are much nicer places in the area for a similar price without all the hassle.UPDATE: So Im trying to buy a house now and the collection from this apartment is hurting my credit score so bad that my credit scored dropped a full 100 points, and of course they wont do anything to help. Stay away from this place.
Absolutely terrible. Management is the number one reason why this apartment complex is getting a low rating from everyone, repeatedly I mentioned that I was being doubled charged for trash yet nothing was done about it. Moving out I was charged about $2200, more than double my monthly rent, for things I should have not been liable for due to the fact that maintenance had to replace things like the blinds, washer, and dryer and trying to reason with management was pointless. All they said was that if you do not pay I will be reported to the collection agency. Do not just take my word for it, go ahead and read the other reviews that have and will be written about the management experiences. Also, there is constant vandalism and items being stolen, myself being victim of two stolen bikes that were locked securely. Free weights, stolen. Propane tanks, stolen. There is always noise in the middle of the night coming from the parking lots from other tenants just being inconsiderate. I have not been able to determine this yet, but the water bill is questionable. I was rarely at my unit due to my work schedule but my water always never failed to be $70 or more. Take note that City of Austin is not providing the water, it is some third party company. I highly recommend not choosing this place to residency. Just quote something I did not know before moving in from another review, Oxford at Tech Ridge Apartments is overpriced and is located next to a section 8 apartment complex. Hence the shooting that occurred not to long ago if you have the time do the Google Search about it.
Clean and safe property. Maintenance is done very quickly, and by a friendly staff. 2/1 are small if you have a lot of furniture, but 1st floor units do have wood flooring which is great and nice for quick cleaning!
Love these apartments! Great new staff, lovely property. It’s so pretty! Can’t wait to live here 🤗
I lived in this apartment more than five years it was good, but since the current management the worst .Because of they didnt care about their client, the only they care about their pament. My wife is pregnant for 8 month and half then the AC didnt cooling, then I called emergency atfter hours to fixe, then maintenance come and checked, then he said I cant to fixe it,but you can go office to inform in the morning, then I did it. Since that day almost three days no one come. When I talked the manager she said we cant right now,but open your door and windows to be cool shame.
Really enjoyed how helpful the staff was in recommendations once we moved to Austin and how everything works at their apartment complex. They were super friendly and courteous.
If your looking for a nice and decent prized apartments I would recommend here at Oxford at tech ride. The management (Valerie Solis) was very helpful and made my apartment hunting adventure very fast and easy!
This apartment sent a cleaning fee of $100 to a collections agency without even billing me. I cant begin to describe the anger that brings inside of me. My wife and I spent an entire weekend cleaning this apartment and left it MUCH CLEANER THAN WHEN WE ARRIVED. Management begged us to put positive reviews about the complex when we left, and we did to only be hit by a bill sent to collections. Management is trash. The apartments are trash.
I had a wonderful experience touring the facility. The staff provided wonderful customer service, and the application process was quick! Cant wait to move in!
Onalee, Valerie, Yvonne. There are no words for the amount of professionalism these ladies exhibit. Onalee showed me and my realtor my new home and I fell in love with it on first sight. The office mascot Thor cutest welcome ever. This place is clean AND wonderful environment and perfect for a family or single person.
The first day we moved in the the washer and dishwasher flooded our apartment. Later mold was found growing in one of the closets again nothing was done for months. We informed the managment they threaten to take damages off our deposit. I was robbed at gun point there and my cars and apartment broken into on several ocations. The management charged us 1500 for an early termination fee. We paid and they still classified it’s an eviction so they could bill us again after. We had told them due to a family emergency we had to leave. They even have it on their report. I will be posting pictures shortly.
Management is not nice or formal. They will try to belittle all your problems and at the end of your lease they will make you fix it or pay it.The gates never working at this luxury complex. Oh, and your car will get towed SURLEY! Doesnt matter if its registered by the management, and they will do nothing to help you.You car and garage will get broken in to, you see people roaming at 1-2 in the morning and nothing you can do about it.The amenities are there but not for you to use them. You have to make an appointment to use the gym or the pool. You will not be comfortable living here.
We were looking for an apartment in Austin and came across Oxford at Tech Ridge. Onalee and Valerie helped us to answer all of the questions we had and made us feel much more comfortable with our decision to apply! We hope we will be moving in soon!
We are looking forward to moving in on July 30. Great price! Close to family living around the area. Pet friendly!
Very nice location. Valerie was very helpful and answered all my concerns. Looking forward to be at Oxford!!!
Highly recommend this place Valerie was awesome very straight forward answered all my questions and got me in quick love the vibe in the office with the girls and so friendly not to mention they drive awesome sport cars lol so happy to have signed my lease and move in
This place sucks
Welcoming staff and a nice and clean property. Onalee and the manager were very helpful.
I took 3 tours with Onalee before finally deciding this was the place I wanted to call home. For the price and area it cant be beat. I would like to add that the gym could use improvement, but overall Iam satisfied.
I worked today with Onalee to view the complex and decide if the Oxford was right for me. Onalee was super helpful and worked with me to find just what i needed. I loved the complex and I will be moving in this month. Great location, great office staff and a great looking apartment.
Everyone is so incredibly helpful and friendly! The apartments are beautiful and there are so many wonderful amenities. Cannot wait to move in!
Working with the staff at Oxford Tech Ridge Apartments has been wonderful. They have taken the time to make sure all questions/worries have been addresssed and have made apartment searching and signing smooth and easy!
Valeria was super nice and took me on a tour. The amenities are amazing!!
They were very polite and answered all of my questions. I would recommend.
Oxford at Tech Ridge is a nice looking property as 2018 and Onalee Arellano in the leasing office was very helpful in the process of getting an apartment.
I had a great experience with Onalee. She was extremley helpful and informative. We were trying to decided between two apartments but the customer service at the other apartments was absolutely terrible compared to how welcoming Onalee made us feel. Happy to be a new resident at Oxford :-)
Valerie in the front office made the entire application and leasing process incredibly easy.
Forget getting your deposit back, even if youre the best, model tenant ever. Keeping renter deposits after renters move on is part of the Arium Tech Ridge management benefits package.
They have recently changed the staff and their awesome whatever you need that will do their best to help you!!
Had a great time with family
This is a great property. Onalee was very helpful.
Great staff!Oops, recently changed leadership. Not so good now.
Beautiful residences; though i made eyecontact with a man sexually assulting himself in his car... not much to say about the residents.
The apartment was super nice and it was a great experience when it was Arium Tech ridge. However, once the Oxford Tech Ridge ownership moved in things turned bad quickly.Twice I was overcharged rent and management did little to nothing to fix the issue. (I had to call the headquarters to get it back).Maintenance now took two weeks to change simple lightbulbs and I had to submit it twice.New front desk employees were rude to me and dont expect them to let them know if you ever get packages. And be careful as they dont allow mid month moves out anymore.Overall the apartments are nice but with new management made even just a few months there under them terrible. You can find better.
Great staff. Love living here.
I enjoy living here. If there is a problem they do come solve it. It might take a couple of days but they do. Maintenence really need more training he Jimmys some fixtures. Other then that staff is nice and I dont have a problem. Thanks Oxford Tec
Went by there to look at an apartment, and was impressed by how friendly the staff were and how clean the apartments and grounds were. Valerie was very responsive when it came to answering additional questions after I left.
Im going to start off by saying when I had originally moved into this place 2 yrs ago it was awesome. Staff was awesome and the community was awesome. In a manner of 1 year they managed to destroy all of it. Even the maintenance crew I enjoyed chatting with quit because management and other reason. Now lets back up a step here, previously the management was really, really good. I actually didnt have a single problem with them at all. Now, its absolutely atrocious. Do not even waste a single ounce of your breath trying to negotiate with them on any cause whats so ever. So where to begin... first Id like to make note of the man who was shot outside my apartment right outside my bedroom window in February 2016. They didnt bother notifying the residents of this. First Flag.Next I made complaints of the dog park lights and issues with the park itself a couple times, they took their sweet times to get that taken care of. I thought one of the top goals for a complex is to make it presentable? Second Flag.Next the break ins, oh man, dont even bother. I had my storage unit along with others next to mine broken into several times and even my friends garage was attempted to be being broke into. You know what Management did? They offered to remove my storage unit from my lease. I even requested a full reimbursement for the months I paid and the fact I no longer feel secured. Third Flag.Next the courtesy officer apparently was staking out during certain times trying to catch people breaking in, dude you are a horrible officer. I staked out without your knowledge and never saw an ounce of you ever attempting to watch over us on the nights you supposedly said you were going to stake out or had. I keep track of these things especially if I have a trust issue with the place Im living at. Fourth Flag. Now for the final and most hated part, the over billed FINAL BILL: Now lets be clear before I post details, I already knew some things like the baseboard would be priced cause my pup decided to use it as a chew toy.Carpet Replace/ Cleaning - apparently this includes a big charge with cleaning the wood boards under the carpet? WOOD? Theres concrete under the carpet, all you have to do is sterilize and sanitize it and lay over the new carpet. But supposedly there is some additional $100~ for cleaning the wood boards under the carpet after having a pet. Keep in mind I lived on the third floor, wood boards under the carpet do not exist.Blinds - if you are missing just one small little piece, you get billed for an entire cost of new blinds. Where is the logic in that?Sheetrock - Heres the big one, DO NOT, and I mean DO NOT even once think of using Spackle on the nail holes and other holes from the things you hang. Apparently this was never once mentioned at all to me in any form of writing or voice. With that being said, if you do, they will have to perform a full repair on the wall.... in other words a $500 repair. In the end my rent was $1241 a month with a garage and no storage for a 775 sqft apartment on the third floor. My final bill which included water was $1178.10. I have a 5 minute long walk through video of my final walk through before I turned in my keys. If you would like to see it, just reach out to me. Oh I also forgot to mention I had two friends who had their trucks broken into as well and the office didnt do anything about it! Do not waste your time with this place, please. It may seem good at first but you will later regret it and Ive already warned the remaining friends of my currently living there and their leases are ending soon.
DO NOT MOVE HERE and if you do for some crazy reason keep all the documentation (copies of everything), write separate checks for every little charge, and always keep an eye out for vandalism. I would literally give no stars if I could. I had lived in Oxford for 2 years and had nothing but troubles with the vandalism, staff, and maintenance. First my truck was broken into and no help came from the management staff, not even an explanation why the gates were open all the time (whats the point in having them). They charged me for replacing the used carpet (not new when I moved in) and for damages that were there before I moved in, which I put in my inventory form. When I came to dispute they said they lost my pre move in inventory form. I had not asked for a copy for I thought they were required to keep it on file. My own mistake for trusting people to do their job. They also lost records of me paying them a pet deposit and also billed me an extra $100 more accidentally (which I had to go back and call them out on to correct the mistake). If you are looking for a place to live look else where because Oxford is not worth the time or the headaches. Also the apartments are not nice at all. There were no lights in the bedrooms, the bathrooms were terrible, and AT&T has a monopoly on the place for internet, so you have to pay an arm and a leg for 18 mbs. Again DO NOT MOVE HERE, look else where.
11/29/2017 - PLEASE SAVE YOUR MONEY AND TIME, this place is not safe as it once was (years ago) (No Lights in the Parking Lot) There have not been any lights in the west parking lot for months. (Drive into the complex at night to see for yourself. Dont worry about the gate, it will be broken as usual)People personal belongings have been stolen from storage, cars have been broken into, dogs and people have almost been hit and still no lights in the parking lot. -It is a very unsafe feeling at times.(Your appliances will be old and not replaced) If you are just doing a tour you will this the place looks great but what they do not tell you is how faulty your appliances will be particularly wisher/driver/dishwasher - I my self have ran into issues with all 3 and they all are currently Jimmy Rigged to work.....An from what I read on the previous comments when I move out they will make me pay for it even though I have been requested WORKING appliances some some time now.People save you money it is not worth the risk. (Not like its cheap)Additionally from what I hear from previous residences and from the comments below THIS IS HOW THEY CHEAT YOU IN TERMS OF MONEY... You have have an issue with an already older much used appliance i.e. Dishwasher/Drawer/Washing Machine they will patch it up (Jimmy Rigged if needed) then when you move out they CHARGE YOU THE PRICE TO REPLACE THE WASHING MACHINE stating it is broken .... mind you that at this point you have been saying that for months. Here is the big kicker..... they will remove the old washing machine and just replace it with another old machine from a different apartment unit. This was CONFIRMED to me by MAINTENANCE. .. When my dryer was broken for over a month (had to go to laundry-mate) I asked maintenance why cant I get a new dryer to which I was told MGMT NEVER APPROVES NEW ANYTHING and the only thing we can do is replace parts and switch dryers from empty apt units.I said great in that case I will take another one from a different unit, he then responded MOST OF THEM ARE HAVING THIS SAME ISSUE SO THERE ARE NOT ANY TO SWITCH OUT CURRENTLY UNTIL THEY FIX THE OLD ONES.Long Story Short Folks if you do decide to move here make sure TO ask WHAT IS THE MARKET PRICE vs BASE PRICE FOR THE UNIT because they WILL OVERCHARGE YOU FOR RENT BASED OFF WHAT IS OFFERED AND HOW THEY TREAT YOU.Also check the other Apts. in the area as well other than Oxford @ Tech Ridge. Oxford will be the highest price BUT you are NOT any safer or have amenities others dont. Not to mention Oxford is giving away Google Minis for signing a lease ($50 bucks normal price $30 bucks on Black Friday) while other Apts are giving move in specials of 200 dollars to FREE FIRST MONTH RENT.
The place looks well kept and the staff is great, very welcoming and kind, especially Onalee was very professional and helped me move in within the time frame I needed. Thank you guys!!!
Hi Im living in Oxford at Tech Ridge Apartments. On Saturday I got smoke alarming (alarming start when I was sleep also no smoking) and Im trying to stop it, but it doesnt work it. so I call it apartment officer 10am (Because on Saturday they open 10Am). They said okay we will send someone who can fixing. almost 1hr later, still they not come to fixing and I call it again, they said did you trying to fixing. I was so mad, why they asking me trying to fixing? The reason I called, it because I cant fixing. They still not come to fixing I heard smoke alarm almost 3hrs. SO I want to tell is ITS BAD SERVICE.
The people are easy to work with, and the apartment looks very nice.
6/19/17 BE VERY CAUTIOUS in moving here. Ive been here for 3 leasing cycles and every year is a greater pain than the last. The office staff is consistently changing BUT I can say they have all been nice and helpful for the most part. The amenities are okay and they keep things clean (pool included). BUT if you are a male you will have NO TOLIELT TISSUE in your restroom. Also NO PAPER TOWELS in the restroom or workout center. If you come for a visit check the mens restroom and the Workout Center there will be NONE...this is June there hasnt been any since at least April. At one point, Pest Control would come on a regular basis, at the very least once a month, .....This is June 2017 and I havent seen them in a year and a half.If you have a dog beware, I dont believe they are spraying outside for ticks/fleas, etc., so be mindful that your dog my look clean but after a few walks...all bad.Ill stop there as not to pile on. I held off on writing this for a few months, but the no toliet tissue for months sent me over the edge. (You can only imagine how that walk home was, smh). Not sure where you are moving from but a few potential differences to note; they no longer replace your air filters or light bulbs (of any kind). On a positive note, the maintenance staff is good. They are very nice respectable men and get the job done. To reiterate, current office mangment is nice (especially the new folks). In conclusion I wont say dont move here - that part is up to you. Just know its declining and that is reflected by the reviews themselves. When I first moved in reviews were over 3.5, now @ 2.2. I say would be more fitting given the few things I pointed out.
Excellent apartments, the amenities are what i was looking for, Valerie and management are great, really attentive and helpful!
Everyone is nice- overall good experience.
Only time they comunicatad promtly was before I signed the contract. I had continuous problems with lack of professional management. Four owners in 6 years and a revolving door with managers and lease agents. Is overprice and is located next to a section 8 apartment complex. Is not a safe area, lots of vandalism. Ill be moving out at the end of my lease.
Its a very good neighborhood recommend it its good for living
This is long- but just want to be honest and save you from making the stupid mistake of staying here!Parking - If you are lucky you will find one in the complex. It gets packed!Noise: Thinnest wall ever. You will hear everything that your neighbor does. I have heard many times, couple on top floor throwing plates on each other. Complained this to the management but no action was taken ever. Maintenance staff and the work they perform is the only good thing that I had seen in this complex. But they never ever clean the dog poop from the complex or dog park. They use the cheapest mulch ever that smells even worst than dog poop.Worst apartment staff ever, you will never meet this kind of manager or staff anywhere else. Theyre such unprofessional people. They dont do the walk through when you move in or move out with you, but they make sure they give you a huge bill for moving out from from there. I was a resident in this place for over 3years, this apartment belonged to Archstone which was the best, the staffs were professional but Arium..I think they hired some guys out from street. I asked manager to show me the pictures of the apartment where they found problems. There was not even a nail in the apartment. But they penalized me for not wiping the ceiling fan and having one single hair. He told normal wear and tear is okay but these are not normal wear and tear like having dust in the ceiling fan!!! I paid to clean the apartment too before I moved out. The Manager was telling me he was going to kick me out, if I tell anything against him while showing the pictures he took( like the dust on the ceiling fan). To them flushing the toilet is the only normal wear and tear they expect, they basically expect everyone to cover the carpet with plastic. I had never met anyone like this ever before. Now the apartment is getting worst too, when I was living there I used to have a BMW and the tires were stolen, the car was towed by them, when I asked about it the staff said they dont know anything and cant do anything about it. I ended up paying $300 to the towing company as well because the guy next to me parked inside my lot. Staffs answer was get a garage I ended up getting one too. I hear loud music in the night and people smoking weird stuf on the stairways, one night I could see 3 people trying to steal a Honda CRV too. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE AT ANY COST, JUST A FRIENDLY ADVICE. THE APARTMENT STAFF ARE THE WORST,EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL..
Good community... club house is good... gym and pool are splendid.... they offer zumba and Pilates classes for the residents free of costs.....sorry they now stopped zumba and Pilates classes... dont know why....so sad
