Our AC unfit stopped working late last night. The company we usually use couldn’t send someone out for two days. With temperatures expected near 100 today we were looking at a really difficult day. ABC Home & Commercial repaired my A/C ducts that had been damaged in a cleaning done by another company. Blake, the technician, called ahead of time to let me know when he would be arriving. He efficiently checked the duct, made the repairs, and had us back to cool in no time. Blake also maintained social distancing, wore, a mask, and was very good about managing safety while repairing the ducts and completing the payment and receipt portion of the call. The employees in the office are really friendly and helpful with scheduling. HVAC Residential RepairWe experienced our AC not working during the afternoon. Our house thermostat read 88 and it was slowly increasing. I called ABC Home and Commercial for an AC service appt and was given a time between 6-11:45 pm. Dalton was at our house within 2 hrs of my call. He assessed the situation and replaced the capacitor. Over the years I have used ABC to do many things in my homes. They have performed new plumbing installation, gas pipe moves, dry wall repair and texturing, second floor windows being resealed, minor HVAC service and now major HVAC repair when my air conditioner compressor blew out.I will always call them on items that I do not take care of myself. Probably not the lowest cost in the industry (although they could be) but they are always available when I need them, on time, reliable, curious, and the quality of work they do is top of the line. I would have done much of what I call them for when I was younger or what I need is beyond what I want to attempt and be safe about it. They are my first call for just about all of my home repair and minor remodel services.

Let me say that facing a non-working Air Conditioner during High 90 degree heat is very stressful! I called several AC repair shops and was told I would have to wait 3 days before they could get to me. I called ABC and they told me they could get to me today but after hours. I was somewhat relieved that I was getting help on the same day. I got a call a couple hours later from ABC saying a technician was available and would be at my house in 30 minutes. Michael showed up right on time! Gee I wonder where I heard that before? Haha! Anyway Michaels professionalism and patience in explaining everything he found was a tremendous reassurance that he really knew what he was doing and a relief that I wasnt going to be sold some unnecessary repair! I wouldnt hesitate to use them again given the experience I encountered. In fact, I intend to use them for pest control in the very near future.

Mr. Dalton Savoy came out to inspect our A/C, to find out why the unit wasnt blowing cold air. Mr. D. Savoy, called me 30 minutes before he arrive. I really appreciate the heads up, because I was just getting off work so this was prefect for me and allow me to let my wife know that they were in route. Mr Savoy, checked out the unit and told us that we may have a major leak or maybe the unit could be saved but he would need to come back the next day and complete the repair. The next day he came back and was able to make the repairs. Without replacing the unit. Mr. Savoy, was very professional, knowledgeable, honest, he care about our home not only did he wear his mask from from the time he got out his truck he also placed his boots cover over his boots. ABC is a pro company. They don’t upsell, they show up on time, and they are honest. I had their tech come out to give me a second opinion and not only was he able to fix the AC but he was way more up front about the unit, it’s condition, and what would need to be done in the near future. As a real estate investor who owns multiple units, ABC is at the top of my list of vendors/contractors.

To be honest I thought ABC offered pest control and lawn care services only, until earlier this year when I saw their commercial on TV for home repair services, too. When the time came that I need AC service, I messaged them online over the weekend and got a call back first thing Monday morning. Technician was scheduled for the following day, came out in the morning and was done before noon. Now there will be no more searching to remember who was the last company I used for AC work - I know I can always depend on ABC.

One of the most pleasurable experiences Ive had in a long time.Fast forward today and with no exception. My 6th month inspection and ABC didnt disappoint.An ABC Technician, Dusty was fantastic the minute he walked through the door. Kind, confident, knowledgeable, and respectful!Went right to work. Explained everything he was about to do and a man of integrity. He did just that, a full system check. Dont find that every day.Well it turns out he found a couple of problematic issues and then proceeded to provide a course of action.He said, Ill, be baccc! Hearing that was somehow comforting and reassuring.If youre in the market for a new HVAC System. I highly recommend ABC and all the professionals, especially the one called, Dusty!, that worked effortlessly to ensure a quality and reliable installation.Impressive, to say the least!

Marc (technician) did a great job replacing our iComfort thermostat, was also great in setting it up and explaining the functions. My five star rating is relating to his work.If I were to give a rating to ABC Home & Commercial, their HVAC Department, and Lennox HVAC systems, that would be very different on several levels.First, we paid a premium for a Lennox system, expecting it to last. Our fault, but we also assumed that a 10-year warranty covered everything. Turns out labor is not covered. No idea if that is standard in the industry. I do know it’s really frustrating because in the 3-4 years we’ve had the system we’ve had to replace the condenser fan and now the iComfort thermostat. Both parts were covered under warranty, but we’ve racked up almost $800 in labor charges. Would have been more if I hadn’t argued being charged their hourly labor rate for a tech to go pick up the fan. I guess I just feel like paying over $10k for a Lennox system should have given us something more reliable than this one has been so far, and that plus participating in ABC’s annual maintenance program should have meant I wouldn’t have incurred almost 10% of the system’s cost in labor to replace parts under warranty. The maintenance program did get us 10% off the labor costs, so we could have been into it for even more labor costs otherwise.Second, Marc initially came out yesterday but didn’t have the part (replacement thermostat), so had to return today. Not his fault, because he didn’t get assigned our job until yesterday afternoon. Here is my problem...I made it ABUNDANTLY clear that the issue was with the thermostat when I first called. Seems like ABC would at least ensure the tech they send to a job involving a thermostat problem would have a replacement thermostat. Not doing so required their tech to make two trips to our home, but also cost us two days worth of time in having to be home.There’s some other things involved, but those are my major comments. Ratings? Marc definitely gets 5 Stars. Lennox...when the system works, 5 stars, but we’ve had two failures in less than four years, 0 stars, for a net of 2.5 Stars. ABC? Hard to nail down since I don’t know about the labor charges under warranty thing. As it stands, 2.5 Stars, but could go up or down as I learn more.

Found 1 inch of water in my closet after searching for the problem and finding my AC drain pipe dry to the bone I knew I had my culprit. Called ABC, Frank was dispatched and agreed that the drain pipe was the issue.20 minutes and 1 hole in the closet later the issue was fixed.

The appointment was kept as promised. Our issue was a smell coming from the heat pump when heating in cold weather. The technician took photos of some mildew inside the unit. Im surprised we have mildew as our AC is protected by spray foam attic. His suggestion was an expensive UV sanitizer. We opted for a less expensive solution to just clean the visible mildew. The treatment seems to have helped.

I am a guy who usually likes to use local small businesses for work, but not for my AC. Its too important in Texas and you need someone to come out quickly when you have an issue. When my AC went out last year, I had several companies bid and ABC was the most attentive to my asks, beat all of the other bigger companies on price, and the annual service contract was way below everyone else. They come service my unit every six months and the techs are always on time, professional, and they work to accommodate my schedule within the large service window.

I needed a 15 year old evaporator coil replaced. I checked around for prices and ABC was by far the best. The technician showed up on time and replaced it exactly as he said he would. He was neat, clean, polite and did the job well. I would use them again in a heartbeat.

I have a HVAC service agreement with ABC, which provides two annual checkups. They are timely in providing a scheduling reminder, always providing arrival options and a call prior to the the service technician arrives. I have had different people come for the service delivery, but they are always consistent in professionalism, clean, through, with documented detail on what was done and recommended. I would recommend ABC Service to a friend without hesitation

Good service. All work done correctly. Our only issue is the timing of our service. We agreed to afternoon 12PM to 6PM. Seems like we always get the service about 6PM. That is too long a period to wait. It should be a choice of 12 to 3 or 3 to 6 in the afternoon. We also feel that because we live in Georgetown on the North side we are a ways from where the tech comes from and we end up as the last stop of the day.Fix that and you get a 10 rating.

They showed up to check the heating elements after I was told by my annual maintenance company two parts were corroded. The repairman Blake inspected my system and didnt find any issues. He showed me the system and there was no corrosion anywhere. Now Im confused but happy that I didnt have to spend hundreds. The outside unit was leaning a bit and I asked him to look at it. To my surprise he inspected the a/c system and didnt find any problems but while he was there, he helped me level the unit and now it runs smoother. Pretty damn awesome!!
