I just found out I can’t cancel my membership because they made me sign a one year contract without telling me it’s a one year contract…If you scroll down and read other reviews here you’ll see this is a common issue they don’t tell people it’s a one year contract before signing up … scammers !!!!

I use the lap pool 3-4 times per week. I do my own form of aerobics. The pool is very clean and the lifeguards are always watchful. Sometimes, all 10 lanes are occupied but you can share a lane or learn the busy times to ignore (early mornings).

Perfect for older adults. upper jogging track is excellent. I run here during bad weather. on the light side..... I questioned as my qualifications as a senior citizen...great staff.

Most people wear masks even while working out and everything is spaced great. Good machines as well.

Had fun here all the time swimming and volleyball.

The tennis courts are only for kids classes, almost no courts available for members, ridiculous!!!

Very nice clean accommodations for the indoor track. Personnel are very nice and friendly. I enjoyed my experience there.

I have had memberships at Planet fitness and Rush Copleys Health Center but I did not enjoy going to either place so I decided to join this Fitness Center after a friend referred me and I am so glad I did. I took one of their exercise classes last night and it was so much fun, but also a great workout. It definitely got me moving. Everyone was very welcoming as well.Thankfully they have daycare because without it I would not have been able to attend. My daughter had a good time too. She was not ready to leave.I am looking forward to attending more classes in the future.

Still a hit with the kids. But i called to ask what the hours were and NO ONE could tell me.. i was transferred at least 5 times.. Also,no one picks up the life vests from the floor (tripping hazard). We have been coming here for 8 years. It used to be better. The chlorine smell is over powering. The girls were left with burning eyes and coughs.

It is OK. The center is getting a bit run down, needs a facelift. But it serves its purpose for me.

Great place to work out and swim. Fun indoor water park completely available to the public reasonable rates. Do not have to live in district to use the facility. Great workout space, day care, classes, tennis and swim. Fun family activities including a fun early New Years Eve family fun party 12/31 in the afternoon complete with balloon drop.

The gym and equipment is good. Workers are friendly. My rating is my personal experience. I mostly enjoy playing basketball but it is frustrating to know that i can bring a guest with me to work out and use facility equipment but CANNOT bring a guest to play basketball when typically we bring our own ball on a completely open court. I understand if the gym was hosting an event or something. But if the gym is empty I should be able to bring a guest to play basketball.

Was disappointed in the reopening that masks were not required by those working out. Only had to wear masks when not working out. No staff supervision of cleaning equipment after workouts, was basically left to people to wipe down their own equipment. Did not feel real safe. Too bad. I love this place

Best place to workout in the area. The open space keeps it safe to workout during this pandemic.

Kinda shut down feeling

People should not have to pay a sitting fee of $8. Also no where on the whole web site do they state there is a sitting fee. And if you are doing a sitting fee it should not pass $2. Or if it’s full price give the person a free treat from the concession stand. Worse customer service ever. No one could answer why a sitting fee and since when. They should have it in writing on site and on the website. Instead of getting there and being told their is a sitting fee.

The facility was extra clean and sanitized. The locker room floor couldve been dryer but was properly sanitized all the same

Pool was perfect. VAC is very clean and Covid protocols are in place. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Fantastic facility. They have a grand basketball court (athletic area) with a lower and upper surrounding track. At the front, there is a play place for children (kind of like a McDonalds play place) as well as a food bar. The coolest part of this place isnt the locker room, its the indoor tennis courts and shop. There are 6 courts, all of which can be watched from a window from one end. At the other end, there is a balcony which overlooks the other sides court. There are other amenities as well such as a pool and gym.

Great gym for ALL ages!!! Absolutely love this facility! One of the nicest park district fitness centers Ive ever been a member at. Clean, very affordable, friendly staff, lots of exercise variety and space. 4-stars due to the lack of group exercise/yoga classes late in the evenings.

I never had a problem with the facility for years even when I worked here for three years. Yes unfortunately the park district and I split was a few months back but I do come back as a guest and pay and for the past month I have been treated unfairly and like I am a menace to the community where I feel like I cause no issues. I just think it’s ridiculous that I am being treated this way and I will no longer recommend my peers to get a membership here.

The water was freezing, the temperature inside was cold. All the kids were shivering. It was hard to have a good time, we stayed for an hour and left. Waste of money.

VERY clean with friendly staff.

Excellent place to host a kids indoor pool party! They took care of everything! From decorating in my selected color scheme, to signing kids/parents in as soon as kids arrived at the party room, to serving the food, to explaining the pool rules, to opening gifts, all the way to saying goodbye and distributing balloons, the party staff at the Vaughan Center did it all! I was so very impressed and satisfied with the value AND quality! Thank you FVPD for helping my twins celebrate their 9th birthday with their friends!

Its AWESOME! I play tennis and theres a tennis court! What a coincidence! They also have a waterpark. Its really nice there.

Super nice exercise facility. They have many classes that are included in your registration cost. Everyone there is so nice. Has an indoor pool that you pay extra for. Also tennis courts.

Modern Construction, clean, feeling of openness with a host of amenities. I use the therapeutic pool and enjoy it very much. First time I have enjoyed exercising ever!

The Vaughn is a very fun place to go, its full of many different amenities and is pretty cheap to get into. You can do anything there from swimming, running, tennis, wieght lifting, gymnastics, ect. Theres always something to do there. I usually go there to run on the track and overall its a pretty nice track. You are able to choose between the upstairs and downstairs tracks which differ in many ways. The downstairs track is a normall indoor track averaging 200m while the upstairs track is more of a square track averaging about 260m.

Very fun for the family

Run an annual table tennis tournament in main field house. Staff is friendly and helpful. The fieldhouse is well lit and large enough to accommodate 30+ table tennis tablrs.

My daughter takes swim lessons at Vaughan and I am very impressed with this facility. The childrens swim instructors are absolutely amazing with the kids. I am so happy our park district offers places and programs like this.

Great place to get some exercise but the school swim teams that practice here frequently take up to many of the swimming lanes.

I mainly come for the events at this location. Most recently they had a breakfast with the Grinch event. I think they did a great job putting it all together. I plan on attending future events.

This is an ok gym. They are excellent at offering you all these classes and when you go, they are ridiculous over crowded where you cant move. I couldnt believe it. I tried going different days and times and they are all the same.

Been coming for a few years now. The gym offers everything we could need including aquatics, small indoor water-park, tennis courts ion addition to an ample selection of fitness equipment. What I like is there are different brands to choose from elliptical machines to tread mills. The locker rooms are a bit tired but adequate.

They taught my daughter how to swim and another family member. Great staff and decent price. It is always so clean and well maintained.

This is where we work out. The staff is awesome and so is the facility. Two pools an indoor water park. Two indoor tracks and weigh room is far an above other facilities. Just a great place to work out. And FAMILY FRIENDLY!

I canceled my membership and they still charged for the rest of the year. I ended it bc the therapy pool was never able to be accessed for anyone. Then to make matter worse sent me to collections and during this time I had no income bc of injury and not able to work.

It’s not very good. Me and my family were looking to go ice skating somewhere and it said that there was ice skating at the Vaughn center so we clicked on it because it said we would learn more about it on their website and we found NOTHING!!!!

If you visit the Vaughn Center in Aurora, IL it is highly recommended that you keep your eyes on your wallet, keys, phone and clothes because they have an unfortunate problem with thieves there. Multiple locks were cut off lockers in a mens changing room this afternoon. They stole all of the above from multiple guests who were using the swimming pool. This is the SECOND time one of the victims property was stolen from this facility. Its unfortunate but I would not recommend the Vaughn Center unless you are able to keep any, and ALL, of your belongings with you at all times. Some of the patrons who frequent this center are just looking for their next victim. With all the likes this post is not just applicable to us.Update: A very big thank you to the Aurora Police Officers who have recovered the stolen property this evening. We really appreciate your help!

So many different options here! Love the gym and the track. The ladies who run the childcare area are always so sweet.

Very clean and well maintained. Ive been a member since before they opened the doors. Everyone of all fitness levels welcomed by the staff.

Love the classes, adore the instructors, friendly staff and other swimmers have become great friends. I would have given 5 stars but summers are awful! Far to many people in the pool and when the classes are over...imagine all of the adults, kids and parents with toddlers all trying to use the same showers and locker room. Floors are a fall hazard with the amount of water tracked in. Half of the showers in the women’s locker room are never used because the water is cold and it takes a LONG LONG time before it gets warm! I have left in my swimsuit because of the crowded locker rooms. Just dropped all summer classes for this reason. Sitting out summers from now on.

My trainer, Tim is an incredible dude. he gives me tips and tricks about stretching and moves to help my mobility, flexibility and how to get back to feeling like me.great dude, great place. love it here.

Awesome athletic center. It has a small water park, lap pool, basketball court, tennis courts, track, full equipped gym, and more.Has a great summer camp program for the kiddos.

I have been training here for about 3 years now. Out of all the gyms I have been too, this is the best and has the most to offer. My fiancée and I are on their couples rate, which is about the same as two student rates. I go there 5 days a week and have had no problems at all. The staff is always friendly and there is a big community-like feeling. Everyone, including other patrons, are very friendly and helpful.They offer the Fitness Center (Weight Room), Upper Level Indoor Track, Lower Level Basketball Courts, Lower Level track, Tennis Courts, Locker Rooms, Sauna, Water Park, Lap pool, Etc. Though the price is higher than gyms that advertise $10 monthly fees, the Vaughan has a lot more to offer.

Really was disappointed with the amount and up keep of the equipment. I only saw one womens olympic lifting bar.

I was in town on business and found the facility wonderful. However guest services were extremely rude and snotty all three times I went. I only asked them routine questions such as “which way to the fitness center”? Absolutely no people skills at the front desk. Terrible people.

Nice local gym with many activities! I love working out and running on the track. I just wish they had lots get hours for the gym.

If you are not a member it is possible that you will be treated unkindly by the staff. I think if they are going to treat non-members poorly without common courtesy, they should get rid of the day pass. Last time I was here I had a difficult time getting set up due to UNHELPFUL staff. I should not have to leave a fitness place crying. Maybe you will have a better experience, but prepare to feel unwelcome. I hope this doesnt happen to you.

My husband and children use to come here all the time. We had the family package and paid 20$ a month for child care. All together the bill was about $130 a month. Every time we would go to the gym we could never play basketball because all of their courts were reserved for volleyball camp. Made not sense to me and was very annoying because that was initially the only reason we wanted to go. Mon-Fri they always had activities on the weekend they also always had the courts reserved for some event. Don’t they think about their members? Stopped going wasn’t worth the price.

Best community center ever! SUPER NICE. My kids have the best time when they go here my parents just moved to aurora not to long ago and we have been trying new stuff ever since we go there and I can say so far I love aurora

Pretty good gym. It is very well kept up with and they get new equipment often. My favorite part is the indoor track.

Really enjoy the indoor swim area for the kids although it does get crowded at times it is clean, fun, and reasonably priced. My son loves their sports programs we have done football baseball ect. all their programs have been really great so far

This place has seriously become a dump, not to mention a safe haven for ghetto, no mannered trash. Went for the first time and was warned by several not to but thought Id give it a chance to the kids aquatic pool inside the Vaughn. I cant describe the hot mess it was in there. The water was absolutely freezing in temperature. Then to top it off you have cold water and then theres air-conditioning blowing like its the Sahara desert. No joke, I mean blowing like crazy. There are two slides and at the top of the slides you are getting blasted by cold air when waiting and remember you are wet, it was horrible. One slide is a body slide, the other requires a tube. Mind you with a crazy jammed place there were only 3 tubes inflated. That was happening in the pool area was like out of a freak movie. The lifeguards werent saying anything to the idiot children and adults acting like animals in the water. It was a freakShow at best. My family left after 15 minutes and I will never step foot in this place again.

I have been coming here for 3 years. Overall, I have been very satisfied. The weight room is great... there are a decent amount of HS boys who dont put weights back and the room can become a mess. I would suggest staff be a bit more attentive to this detail.I pay for the premium locker room... $10 a month... I am a swimmer and choose this option because you get towels. If I didnt need towels... it is not worth the extra premium. The locker room is not any nicer than the free one. (Other than it has a wet and dry sauna). I would love to see them upgrade this part of the gym. Lifetime fitness locker rooms are significantly better.The lap pool is great... I saw a review that the water is cold... I disagree... a lap pool should not be warm.The indoor track is perfect. Not too crowded... each lap is 1/6 mile... usually basketball or volleyball games going on to watch . I have literally logged hundreds of miles here. Ran 14Miles once on it (snow outside... better than a treadmill) .Child care area is good. Fun stuff for the kids to do... never had an issue... but notice sometimes staff is not paying attention.Class schedule... I can only speak to Spinning... I dont feel they have times that work for me (late week day evenings like 7 pm). The few classes I have been to are good... and quite empty.Hours: Great if youre an early bird. I am a night owl and sometimes I run into issues with the pool closing at 9pm and the gym at a 10 pm. I would like to see later hours and some night spinning.Staff: spin instructors are good. The weight room staff sit behind the desk and play on their phones most of the night... rarely even picking up their heads to great guest. I would ask management to reenforce no phone use while working... and to periodically walk the floor to re-rack weights.Once again, I would recommend this place to a friend. 4 out of 5 stars... some room for improvement.

Signed my child up for a beginner drawing class. Showed up for the first class. Asked the receptionist where the class was. Waited for 30 minutes to find out it had been cancelled and claimed they called me. (They did not call). The class was on a Friday they said they would call Mond5. Sure enough they didnt call. I called them days later and they said the refund had gone out today, but it may take a couple days to show in your account. Now another week has past 3 1/2 weeks since the start of the class. Still no refund.

Awesome and clean facility. Classes offered are extensive. The playground outside is one of the best in the city for my 5 year olds to play

This is easily the most ridiculous park district gym Ive ever seen. They literally have it all. The membership is pricey but its totally worth it based on the wide variety of activities.

I signed up mostly for the basketball court, you have to be there at least an hour before they open or your not getting a court, also they have way to many non-member open court days. The last time I went with my family I called the day before to see what time it was opening and they said 2:00pm because they had a family fun day reserved in the field house I got there at 2:00 and was told they were going to clean up first.Then some lady that was VERY rude told us that it was NOT opening at all, so I asked the front desk and they said it was going to open as soon as they cleaned it. Me and my family along with other familys waited over two hour, just to be told they close at 4:00. Very bad service!!!

The water park is really nice, but the temperature was too cold in the park that my kids wouldnt swim. They were too cold. It wasnt until we found the therapy pool that they spent some significant time in the water and these kids are waterbugs

A bit of a far drive for me, but this place has a great swimming area! Lessons too.

It has the better of the indoor tracks in the area. The staff does not do an adequate job of keeping volleyball and basketball players off of the track. That creates dangerous situation for all Runners of all levels.

Extremely disappointed to learn that the paid access locker room does not allow overnight locker use. There is not even an option to pay for a locker like they do at the YMCA and most other gyms. I dont see how there can be a safety/liability issue if we sign release forms for potential stolen property and keep our lockers locked. Its a gym, the open and obvious nature of the dangers of leaving your stuff unattended is obvious to all members. Thus, there should be no reason to not let us PAY for a locker. Currently looking into other options as I will not haul all of my stuff in and out all winter long.

Nice facility. Very few programs for school-age children. Personal trainers who do the fitness center orientations and assessments seem unmotivated. I had two of them cancel appointments at the last minute, one via text message. The orientation I finally got was incomplete and very cookie-cutter. My daughters gymnastics class instructors were gossiping about a student from another class during the lesson. My daughter was very disappointed by this, and by the fact that the H-bar was so low that she hit her head on the mat, but they would not raise it for her.

Took my 1 year old to the playground one day when the kids summer camp was out there. The kids were running into my daughter, she couldnt even be on the playground with out almost being pushed off. When I looked around the leaders were sitting looking down at their phones the whole time. I had called and let them know what happened that day and they told me they would look into it and call me back. Its now almost a week later and I have not heard anything from them. Not a very professional place at all. They will never get my business again. And if my daughter gets seriously injured on the playground from their kids summer camp kids, they better be ready to pay some doctors bills.

The locker room tends to need cleaning. The equipment room needs more machines. For ex there is 1-2 machines to work out your back vs 5-8 at other gyms.

Had a birthday swimming party amd iLoved it and will deff do it again!!!

Gotta get the upgraded locker room it changes your whole workout.
