Ive only used their alteration services but love them. Being 5 tall I have to get a lot of clothing altered. A pair of pants is about $20 which I find reasonable compared to other prices Ive come across in the area. My clothes are always done in the time they tell me with no issues. The woman who does alterations is only there certain days/times so its best to call ahead to check before dropping things off (you can pickup any time). Do expect a small language barrier but nothing that is hard to overcome.
Dry cleaning was all right, but the seamstress was awful. We wanted to repair a small hole in a pair of pants, and the repair made it unwearable in a work setting. The thread was basically a yarn, and the color didnt even remotely match the original color. Not returning here even though location is convenient, theres plenty others around in the area.
I really don’t understand all the negativity here. This is the BEST experience I’ve ever had with a dry cleaning company. The owner is extremely sweet, and he has gone out of his way on numerous occasions to rush my clothes. Everything always looks wonderful when I pick it up despite the materials. They will continue to have my business.
Let me state, this is my first ever negative review written about ANY business. VERY dissapointed with Piedmont Cleaners. I have been a customer of theirs for over a decade. From alterations to cleaning I took all of my clothing and referred many people to this establishment. A few months ago, I had alterations and dry cleaning total of $187. Upon looking at my garments about two months ago, I realized the work was not done. My clothing was still dirty, the alterations were not done, and the buttons that were re-sewed on, instantly fell off (leaving me in a jam on the way to a business meeting). Dissapointed at the work that was obviously not done well or with care and sitting with a dress with no buttons, I called the cleaners. The gentleman assured me that the owner would call me back and make things right. I moved away from the location, so I asked them to please just refund my amount from my last transaction at their store( Again, I was a long time customer. I never made a complaint nor wanted my money back). Now a month later after calling and requesting to speak with the owner and asking for a refund the gentleman tells me he doesnt know where she is.Im beyond dissapointed and all I requested was my money back due to TERRIBLE work that was done. Of they could not have done that, they could have figured something else out to make up for the poor quality of work. Do not take your alterations here.
Terrible experience. Be careful! On my first try, I gave a bag of clothes(suit, dress, shirts, jumper) only to find a dress shredded with holes on pick up. They claimed falsely that we dropped off a destroyed dress to them. I asked why they wouldnt have called to alert us if there was a shredded dress for a brand new customer rather than suspiciously sitting in their care for 5 days. The response we dont call customers, that is too costly for us. That just shows how awful they view customers. In the end, it was a $300 dress and I was asking for my $38 refund to compensate since I couldnt prove they destroyed the dress. They are unfriendly and expensive at best. At worst, they are liars that will cover up their mistakes and hide behind no refund as the answer.
Always a great experience. Been going there for the last six years. Have had them do dry cleaning, alterations and even shoe repair with great results. Once on a rainy day the manager walked me out to my car with an umbrella. That is customer service.
Prompt service and very nice people. Did a great job fixing a hole in my shorts
This cleaners has consistently provided prompt, courteous service with a smile. The dry cleaners is always completed with the highest quality and on time.
I have used their dry cleanings services a few times a months for the past two years without incident. Ive used their tailoring and alternations services on numerous occasions, too. But mostly for minor orders. Service is friendly and polite. Can definitely recommend.
Very quick service
I brought in two vests to get darts put in them and a piece of clothing that needed a new zipper slider put on. The seamstress wasnt in so the manager said they would call me with an estimate of what everything would cost. That never happened. I called them three days later to inquire about what the prices were going to be and was informed that the work had already been done and the final bill would be $74. $74!!!!!!Total lack of communication and ridiculous prices. When I asked why they didnt call me the lady just repeated $74. $74. And stuck out her hand. There was no discussion at all. I made more a deal out of it and was told we have plenty of customers.Well you have one less today.
I have not utilized the alteration services, only the cleaning services. I rate their work as average. I understand that there can be many nuanced preferences when it comes to having clothes cleaned. Starch level, collar shape, creases, etc... The preference for every customer cant be met, but I think they do a decent job at consistency. They also seem to aware at noticing and resolving stains or other garment issues that you may not specify for cleaning. My only real issue is the cost. Theyre prices are high for both basic items (shirts and pants) and delicates or complex items (blouse or dress).
Hey are the first cleaners out of 5 I have tried in 4 years that has been great! Fastest turn around and reasonable prices for in town!
Call twice asked a question about fixing simple holes and tears and she just hung up on me.
They always do an excellent job for me, are very quick at returning clothes, and are extremely polite. i switched to using them years ago and now dont go anywhere else!
$66 to hem 3 pairs of pants is crazy!
Missing 2 pairs of $100 yoga pants that were never found. Deal breaker.
Love this place!
Totally ruined a beautiful ball gown
