I use Midtown Wash for the Wash & Fold service and Ms. Stephanie is the BEST! She always does a great job with my laundry! She knows the proper care of clothes and would never put gym clothes in the dryer on high heat. :-)The price is the best in the area and quick turnaround times.
Horrible service (specifically pertaining to the wash and fold service). The attendant is never there, they leave a sign that says be back in an hour but you have no idea what the time reference is (an hour from when?). Another time the door said they were at an appointment and would be back and 9:30 and they arrived well after that. They asked me to call ahead and when I did they said they couldn’t take it until X day - but why can’t I just drop it off and pick it up whenever it’s ready, like I can’t even drop it off? The attendant clearly is trying to keep their workload in that regard as minimal as possible. Not going back.
There was a young lady who worked there. Her name was Shanay. She was really nice and helpful. She had a wonderful personality and was great with the customers. She always finished my laundry before the pick up date and would call to let me know it was ready for pick up. She was a sweetheart. I hope she comes back.
Went to do laundry here this morning, two stars for being open and having plenty of machines.Machines all have card readers to be able to use credit cards. Some of the machines are coin only apparently due to technical issues which is understandableUnfortunately none of the card readers would actually process credit cards due to not being able to connect to the network. Luckily they have an ATM machine so for an extra $2.75 on top of my laundry I was able to proceed. Its unclear if this is just a normal issue for this location since there was no attendant on duty while I was there on a Friday between 9am and 1030am.The door to the attendants office where ostensibly you can drop off laundry and buy supplies did have a note that the attendant would be in at 9am, but clearly they were running a little late since they hadnt arrived by 1030am.
Well maintained facility. Like utilizing the large washer and dryers. Love that all machines accept card payment, as I rarely have cash or change these days.
This place is great. The employee was very nice, helpful and very friendly. The washers and dryers are all clean and no lines to have to wait in. There is everything that you could possibly need to get your laundry over and done with. Also you can even dropffr it off to be washed and dried and come back to get it when you get ready to pick it up. I will definitely come back here for all of my laundry needs. The washers and dryers are very fast and clean and get the job done on the first go around instead of having to go back again to get your things cleaned all of the way. The washers vary In Prices but hold an enormous amount of clothes and truly clean your clothes. Dont make the mistake Ive made more than a few times by going to the cheapest washers and dryers when it will cost more money than here at the Midtown Wash. Ive made that mistake a few other times by not coming here and actually had to pay more money by the end of it And wasted even more time. All because the washers and dryers dont get it done the first time going through the cycle and sometimes it has taken even 2 to 3 times to get my clothes Clean and fresh. When I come here I Know my clothes will get cleaned.
This place is disgusting. Don’t waste your money washing clothes here. Service is terrible and it is very unsafe there because laundry attendants are gone for long periods of time.I had a situation where I was harassed by someone and there was no laundry attendant in sight to witness and help out. Never going here again.
We needed a quick wash and fold before leaving town while running other errands. Shanay (sorry if I spelled your name wrong!) was incredibly helpful and professional, exceeding our expectations and getting the work done earlier than anticipated. She was a life saver and the next time Im in town, Ill swing by!
This is my go-to laundromat when Im in town. Peace and quiet. Decent parking. Great customer service. They have an atm. You can withdraw as little as $5.
Very easy-to-use, get in and out with no problem. Excellent customer service.
It was nice, very clean environment
Convenient, clean facility and friendly staff... but the card readers stopped working on all washer/dryer machines (no card issues elsewhere) - means you are forced to pull cash from their ATM and pay an extra 2.75 every visit. Not a good look during a “national coin shortage”...
I love it and the employees are very helpful always have a smile on their face
If you want to increase your risk of Covid and do laundry at the same time, this is place! Maskless people INSIDE and out, in no way socially distanced. They even went as far as to take down their sign about masks being needed! Ill do my laundry elsewhere.
Staff is friendly and progressional. Machines are updated and do an excellent job cleaning. Several machine sizes to match your needs. Minus a star for two reasons: first, staff sometimes leave the facility unattended to make deliveries or pickups (I had to wait ~20 mins for someone once when I needed assistance). Second, washes are a little pricier than other places (about $4), although dry time is a little less. Have not used the Wash & Fold service yet.
Absolutely love doing my laundry here! Its in a georgous area you can walk around the block while you wait for your clothes to finish or sit outside and enjoy the fresh air. Always happy helpful and friendly employees and we never have any issues here. Wont go anywhere else! There is a $20 hold on cards when you swipe them but they do have a sign up that tells you about that policy so you cant get mad about it 💁 highly recommend Midtown wash 💜
Noone wears masks here. Left went to a different laundry mat.
Mixed feelings, but DEFINITELY NOT GOING BACK!The attendants were actually very friendly. They opened and held the door for me as I was coming in with about many bags of pillows and bedding to wash for a friend. Thefemale attendant was super sweet and said it was fine if I washed them there and that I should use the large machines. She also warned me that if I used my card for the machines, Midtown Wash would put a $20 dollar hold on my credit card for around 24-48 hours. HOWEVER, she did NOT inform me that they would hold $20 PER MACHINE!!!! And guess what? They have been holding over $200 from my credit card for FIVE DAYS and STILL havent removed the hold!!! Its infuriating and on top of that, their machines are ridiculously expensive as it is! GO ELSEWHERE AND SAVE YOURSELF THE FRUSTRATION AND MONEY!!!!
This place is awesome. The owner is constantly running around helping people. Everything from carrying their clothes to the car to bagging stuff for them. Safe environment and clean as well. Also they will give you the name of the best Cuban restaurant in Atlanta.. so that alone is worth going here.
Friendly staff. Machines that actually add enough water to wash your clothes and dryers that actually heat up enough to dry your clothes. All I could ever want or need from a laundromat.
This place is a life saver! Visiting out of town and unknowingly went to a smoke-ridden facility. Needed my clothes cleaned ASAP and found this via Google. The machines are super easy to use, and the place is nice and quiet. PS. Just an FYI, the machines do accept credit cards, however, they will put a $20 hold on them that will be removed after. If that doesn’t work for you, they do have an ATM and a change machine which is super convenient!
Its a great little place downtown the feels like youre out in the country. I like to come here to wash clothes when I get off work
Glad they accept cards!!
Original review:No explanation why 20 dollars was taken from credit card account instead of advertised price. Nobody around to explain.Updated review:Later on, there came a friendly employee which explained me why this is done. I would say just add some explanation somewhere and it should be fine. It astonishes me how polite the response is of the owner 😅. But ok, the wash was good, available drinks to buy are of a great price and it was clean inside so I updated the score.
I decided to try this location as I wasnt a fan of the washers/dryers in my apartment building. Very nice facilities. The attendant was very helpful when I explained it was my first visit there. Was able to use the wifi and get work done while I waited. Very clean, comfortable, and safe environment. Will be returning in future for my laundry needs.
The location had an offensive smell when I walked inside. It smelled as though the washers needed a routine tub clean .So I left.
I went here to wash 3 huge comforters. I arrived closer to closing thinking it was 24 hours and they were beautiful enough to allow me to wash my comforters. Im very greatful for this business.
I have an apartment sized washer and dryer, so when its time to wash something bulky, this is my go-to place. The machines are clean, and take a credit card or coins, plus there is an attendant in case you need something. Its tucked away in the neighborhood, but it easy to find and street parking seems to be plentiful.
Great staff and a very clean facility. Ive never had a problem finding street parking and always has open washers and dryers. Definitely would recommend if you are looking for a fast and convenient place to do your laundry. Only down side is they only have street parking.
The place runs a cable TV and it has free WiFi that you need a password for. They have a good amount of washers and dryers and 10 p.m. is a reasonable time to close. The laundry attendant was very attentive and knowledgeable about any miscellaneous question I had to ask. The downsides is that the vending machines dont work properly and single-use detergent and dryer sheets are unavailable.
Last night The laundry attendant purposefully locked me inside the laundromat. She then threatened to set the alarm to have the police come. Im currently filing papers with the fire department for the fire hazard that It created (not to mention that I am African-American which doesnt seem to mix well with police officers these days). I was at least smart enough to record the entire incident. I will be posting it on Social media. I did in fact you go there with plenty of time to complete my laundry. However one of the machines malfunctioned which cause the laundry to take longer to finish. While she was locking me in I asked her to help me take the things out of the dryer and help me pack my stuff and get it out the store. Not trying to be long-winded here, but just so that you have a context when you hear the recording.Note: Even though the machine malfunctioned she still did not place a note on it to warn future customers. Also, ive been a customer here for about a year and a half with no incident. Ive met the owner, and have even given good reviews about some of the staff.
Did all my laundry here, for myself and two very dirty dogs, for almost two years. Staff is super friendly and professional - especially Stephanie - and Mark the owner is helpful and pays attention to his customers and taking care of their needs.
Came on my lunch hour to wash king sized comforters. The washing machines and dryers were wonderful and the attendant was personable and helpful. Highly recommend
Convenient location. Lots of dryers and washers. Never any issues. Price is comparable to anywhere else in the area.
The machines are good quality and the attendants are helpful. I can feel the thoroughness of the wash.
Very nice and helpful staff. Clean machines, just a little pricey. Clean restroom. This was my first time going there, and I forgot to bring bleach. The vending machine was out of bleach, and the staff allowed me to use a little of theirs. So nice!
I used a few places but settled on Midtown Wash as my laundromat. The staff is always super friendly and helpful which is nice. The machines seem to be in good working order and the prices are about the same as any other place. They have a variety of washer sizes so you can save money by using a smaller machine if that works for you. The dryers are all huge and theres plenty of them - Ive never had to wait to use a dryer. This place is clean, friendly, and quite comfortable. If you live nearby, I highly recommend using this place if you need a laundromat.
Great staff. One of my dogs favorite places (he loves any place/one that gives him treats)
I used 3 $6.25 washers and this company held $40 from my card without letting me know it would. I should have spent 18.75 but instead $40. And the lady working told me I’d get it back within 3-4 days as if I should be happy with that because .... maybe she will be paying for food for my family. The owner of course does not take calls. Upset. It would be completely different if any sort of signage explained it. But of course, there is none. I will be rating and writing a review every week until I see a sign when I drive by.
Good experience. First visit, the attendant was great. Clean place, open washers, able to buy washing detergent and dryer sheets. In and out quickly.
Free wifi, TV, has sit-down area inside with vending machines. Snacks price is decent. safe and in local neighborhood. Can use card to wash. Also, does dry cleaning as well and sell laundry items!!
Clean and convenient location for midtown residents.
Clean dryer worked good but parking on street only right in residential area so limited parking only issue I had
Usually I dislike laundry mats but this one is amazing. Its clean!!!! Like really kept up well. All the machines work and if there is an issue an attendant is on site. Did I mention they wash your clothes for you. They also do dry cleaning. Ugh. I love this place.
Clean washers and dryers! The lady who was working, was very friendly!! Not busy at all
Love Midtown Wash. The only reason they dont get a 5 star is because they say theyre open at 7am but are often late! Very disappointing!
I have tried many places and this is the best one! Its in a good neighborhood, clean place, and the people arent sketchy like others. Totally recommend dont go nowhere else!!
This was a great place. I was visiting Atlanta for a conference and needed to do some laundry before I left for another trip. Doing laundry in a big city was starting to freak me out but the reviews of this place was good. There was unmetered parallel parking available on the street. I lucked out and got a good spot right in front. I went Monday around 3 pm. Inside was clean and well managed. Everybody seemed nice...we didnt talk to each other but there were no crazy vibes off anyone. Hope this review helped!
Soon as you walk in you can see how clean the place is. The owners recognized we were new customers right away and were extremely helpful and friendly. The machines accept cards and coins. There is a change machine if you only have bills, a small cafe with free Wi-Fi, and vending machines. Lots of machines and sizes to choose from. The 60 lbs machine is $6.25-$6.75 ... Then they have $4.50 and $3.50 ones as well. The place could use a bit more table space but it wasnt crowded when I came. And the tables are stainless steel which makes me feel they are much cleaner than the plastic ones. But they have plenty of seating. I came here because my usual place was closed for labour day weekend, but this place is definitely much nicer. Will be back!
Clean, nice bathroom, snack machine and plenty of different sized washers and dryers. Ive never had to wait for one to open up. My favorite part is the credit card scanners: same price as cash but so much more convenient! Also has free wifi and lots of seating and magazines.
Very clean, with a kind staff. Many washers and dryers that are efficient quick. Took a little over an hour to wash and dry multiple loads.
Quaint laundromat nestled in a residential neighborhood. TV, vending machine, restroom while you wait.
Very nice people, a lot of personality. No worries at all.
The people are awesome, free soap and coffee on certain days, clean, air conditioned and free wifi, ample seating and cartsThey do have a parking shortage, its on street, but this place is awesome. We just moved out of the neighborhood, and I make the extra 10 minute drive to get to this laundromat because it REALLY is that much better
Mrsvette is AMAZING!! I will only go when shes working. Sometimes I stop by just to talk to her. Overall a great place to do laundry!
Found MidtownWash this morning after the place I had been using closed. Have to say hands down--this place is the best. Great location, friendly staff. Perfect. Its my new place to be on Sunday mornings.
In and out. Fast washers and hot dryers. Cute female customers too...
Clean laundromat, kind attendant, safe facility, machines work well. My clothes came out smelling like, well, like clean laundry.
-Very Good Location😇 && The Manager Is Awesome😊
Clean, Lots of washers and dryers, Friendly environment, Good selection of snacks in the vending machine, Free parking, and multiple options to pay with the machine ( phone, card, coins ). My go to laundry mat!
Midtown Wash is very conveniently located in a nice, residential area. The facility was very clean, and the staff was friendly and helpful. I really liked that you could use cash and your debit/credit card at all of the machines. Wi-Fi is available, but it was out while I was there. There are a lot of variable sized washers and dryers to use, and I felt like the price was comparable. Im originally from Birmingham (where the cost of living is much less than here), so the cost for using the machines did not seemed overpriced to me. I will definitely use this facility again!
Clean and usually plenty of machines. Busy times of day can sometimes mean harder to find street parking. But it’s generally not too bad.
Very close to home, huge washers and dryers that you can wash a comforter in, machines accept credit/debit cards. Pretty clean and very nice employees, offers wash and fold service for 1.50 per pound of laundry with quick turn around time.
It’s always a pleasant experience. Everyone is so polite!
Best machines. Best prices. Great service
Its a nice friendly clean environment. The attendant was friendly, helpful and courteous.
I have been coming here for about a year and three weeks ago I decided to try their dry cleaning service for a large papsan cushion/dog bed. For a large cushion, I thought $40 was very reasonable. They told me it would take about a week, since their guy picks up/drops off Thursdays. Unfortunately, the company they use didnt drop off the bed the week it was done so it ended up coming a week and a half late. This was totally not Midtown Washs fault, yet they still told me the bed was on them and gave a little added charm by walking it out for me! I love the friendly staff and their commitment to timely services. Of course I will continue to use them for all my laundry needs.
The owner Mark wont take responsibility for the dry cleaners he uses that shrunk my expensive sweater over 1 month ago and refund me the amount of it, I even brought the receipt. NO CALL, NO MONEY, NO APOLOGY, NOT OK!!!!! Horrible service from him. His staff on the other hand are 5 star all the way!!
I have been a customer of Midtown Wash for years. Even after we moved to a different neighborhood 3 years ago, I still use them for dry cleaning.
Dont give the price on the website and go there to find extremely overpriced service. Complete wastage of my time.
Open later than all the others with all you need for a decent wash. Card operated machines are a plus
Great, clean neighborhood place to wash your clothes. Customer service is awesome.
Im they wash clothes
Clean, good wifi, usually not too crowded, this place is great
The customer service, machines, and space are all top quality.
Very nice staff and a peacefull experience. Very relaxing atmosphere.
Great facility. Very clean, free WiFi and plenty of machines.
Awesome laundry. Clean, well lit, Wi-Fi, had old time movies on tv, lots of well priced machines and detergents/softeners etc. I fully expect that if you show up on a Saturday morning there will be Garfield and Friends playing on the tv just before SoulTrain comes on at noon.
Clean smells Great. Relaxing environment
One of the best laundromat Ive ever experienced or whatever!!!!
*update* 10/28/20Once again, sitting outside a closed building at 7am because an employee couldnt bother to show up to open on time. Owners cant seem to care less either. Its a shame because the women who work here are great, but when the lazy guy is scheduled to work hes never on time even though he lives right down the street.*update*Sadly this place has gone completely downhill since my last review years ago. Half the chairs are cracked or missing now and the place is horribly hot in the summer (air condition always seems broken!!!). There are always machines out of order now, slow to get fixed. And it just seems so much more dingy than it once was. I previously gave it 5 stars but now I can only give it 2, and thats just because the machines have credit card readers, which is super convenient...when theyre not broken too. Go to the Laundry Lounge in Ansley Mall instead. Theyre super friendly, have equipment that works, and air conditioning! (plus theyre cheaper)Previous post: (the good ol days)_______Been coming here 10 months now and not once have had a problem with anything. Machines work well. Big dryers work exceptionally well! You can get two loads of wash to one dryer ($1.25) and it ALL dries! Theyve always had free wi-fi and now have added a computer you can use too in case you forgot yours at home and if you keep your Frequent Washers card, every 11th wash is free. Oh and theres Cheerwine in the vening machine! Owners are nice, patrons are super nice (if youre the chat-with-neighbors type) and theres plenty of magazines if you forgot your Kindle too. Theres also a convenience store right around the corner. Definitely recommend this place over any other in the Midtown area!
Very helpful attendant and the machines take debit and credit cards now! Lots of folding space and roller racks.
Straight, the place not the customers, lol. Clean but you definitely pay for it.
Very clean place. Nice people too.
Our dryer broke at the house and we needed to finish our laundry. We have used the establishment before and it was very inviting and nice. We looked up online what time it closes which is 10 PM, finished dinner, and walked over to dry our 1/2 full laundry basket. This time the person whom im assuming is the night manager would not even let us in and only unlocked and opened the door so someone inside could leave. Bewildered i checked the time just to make sure it wasnt too late 9:01 PM. She said last wash is at 8:00PM (even though it says 10PM on the door and online) and then gave us a TON of attitude. When she was finished we explained all we needed was a dryer for 15 minutes and her response was and ... i have to clean. I started to say I dont understand and before I could finish saying why we cant just use a dryer and we will clean up she pulled the door too locked it and started yelling at us through the door about it being 9 at night and a bunch of stuff I couldnt make out.I will repost after talking to the owner. I still dont understand how letting us use a dryer for 15 minutes when about 6 people were already in the store really mattered.
Great place to do laundry!
Very clean and the staff was super polite
It is the by far the only laundromat I go to used to live in midtown for years, moved over to east Atlanta and still go there..on my way now😉
The machines are normally dirty, its pretty pricey and the owner is a prick. He lets his dogs run around off leash and crap all over the property next door without picking it up. You have customers that live over there, jerk!!
Good wash and fold service.
Very clean, nice, and attendant is helpful.
Great Laundry Service
Nice clean clothes and nice atmosphere
Drop off service is good
Friendly, helpful staff, clean business, highly recommended!
Dont use your credit card here.
Fun place to wash clothes
