Don’t waste your time. It’s a hole in the wall. The “aesthetician” did not wear a mask. I ask her kindly to please respectfully wear a mask while performing my service. She took it off not less than halfway through my pulling it down and staying behind my headso I couldn’t see.
I have been very disappointed in Skin Matters Customer service. I called a few weeks to schedule a appointment, and a guy picked up the phone and had 0 customer service skills. Advised that there laser machine is down. Well they have more then one laser machine. I asked for a call back once it is back up and never heard back. I called 4 times and left messages for a return call to schedule an appointment with no answer. No one answers the phone there anymore. I will be requesting for a refund for the sessions I bought. I cant spend my hard earn money on a establishment that does not value their customers.
I personally did not have great results from my laser other than my legs which I’m thankful for. About a 25% reduction in 9 sessions which isn’t fantastic but it’s something. The reason I’m leaving a review is to make people aware that laser can stimulate facial growth on the face. I’m leaving three stars because I had some good laser technicians, one being Kelly which I’m not sure if she’s there anymore. On the other end, I’m very disappointed this business did not tell me that facial hair stimulation can be a side effect if laser is done on the face. They saw me coming in and it getting worse every session but the lady at the front desk said it’s because I hadn’t been coming in. I was going in every month (perfect attendance) and I’m pretty sure stopping after 10 sessions because of stimulated hair growth goes along with the phrase I “wasn’t coming in.” Also when I asked them about the hair growth they said sometimes the hair growth gets worse before they can kill it....WRONG. In what world does that make sense? Please if you’re going to any clinic please don’t touch the laser with your face. Go to electrolysis the only FDA approved hair removal classified as permanent. I recommend Misheals Electrolysis which is about 10 minutes from this place. Skin matters failed to tell me laser can stimulate hair growth and worse they made me waste more money to make it worse even further by telling me it would get better later on. If you are paying to have it removed hair should not grow thicker at all, period.
After the IPL procedure, my chest was badly burned. I have an ulcer. Skin Matters Med completely ignored my complaints. The owner of the salon, Lisa, did not even apologize! They refused to return my prepaid $ 200. It is not clear who works there, whether they have experience and rights to the service. Looks like a criminal place!
Do not waste your time going to This place. They are very unprofessional. They’re never on time & they’re understaffed. I’ve never had a good experience at this place & on July 17, 2021, I decided that I was never going to return & I was only on my third laser treatment. First, I got a text the day before to remind me of my appointment at 11:05..my appointment was actually at 10:50. I screenshot the email & asked them which time did they want me to come, they said 11:05. I got there @11:04. They did not see me until 11:50. I had been waiting there the whole time & they just kept skipping me, telling that they didn’t have enough staff. As if they didn’t know we’ll in advanced how many appointments they had. Do not go to this place. Nyah Medspa is a better place & very professional.
They used to have great service. Now they don’t answer their phones to schedule or reschedule an appointment. But they have no problem charging you for a missed appointment. How are you supposed to reschedule if they don’t answer their phone? You pay for a package but cannot use it because it’s hard to schedule visits.
I came to Skin Matters for a skin peel some time ago. BIG MISTAKE. I have a 1st degree burn on parts of my face which have left permanent hyperpigmentation. I knew something was wrong when my face felt like it was melting off during the session. Concerned, I ask the tech if we should neutralize the peel. She said, no we should give it more time and waited for another 3 minutes. My face felt extremely tender afterwards (way more than the times I got a peel from other clinics). The tech said you should be fine, its only temporary.I followed the post-care instructions yet I was left with a horrible burn on my face (worse on some parts than others). I called Skin Matters back to let them know about my face and they said I should come back in to buy some products that may help. Are you kidding me?! After damaging my face, possibly permanently, theyre still thinking about making money off of me?
Skin Matters Med (supposedly) offers deals on Groupon for Cryolipolysis treatments, so I spent almost $1,000 purchasing a treatment session. When I called them to redeem it, they informed me that they dont even offer these treatments at all! The guy basically just told me there was nothing he could do, and didnt seem to care at all. Unprofessional! Find somewhere else.
Not only the service is poor, but scheduling an appointment is a HASSLE. They don’t answer their phones nor they call back when you leave a voicemail. Every technician tells you something different about the service you’re getting and some of them can’t even answer your questions. The times I’ve asked “how come you guys don’t pick up the phone?” Their response is “because we have been very busy” but when I’m there I barely hear the phone ring and I’ve watched them leave the lines ring and ring. I’m not sure what exactly they’re so busy about or should I say they’re being LAZY? I will honestly never come back here nor I will recommend them. This is the first laser spa I go to this unprofessional and unethical. The staff needs to be educated a little more, including the manager herself (Lisa). Do yourself a favor and book somewhere else if you’re looking for results.

I have been with this place since November 2017 and feel like I never received consistent, proper treatment (technicians seem to be rushing through the sessions, missing lots of spots and constant changing of staff means inconsistent treatment) which feels like a way to get people to keep buying packages because the outcome was not what they wanted. Staff is constantly changing -- either getting fired or quitting, and after my appointment today, I realized the staff has even been giving wrong information about packages to customers.The 2 very thorough technicians (Catherine and Allison) I had have left, so I havent been able to trust or rely on anyone to give the thorough treatment that I have paid for. They were the reason I continued to stay, and I wasnt even informed that they had left when I came in for my appointment, which was a waste of my time and gas.Customer service is also terrible as many others have pointed out -- promising to call back on errors, never doing so, needing to follow up with them to correct THEIR mistakes in their system, not picking up phone calls or calling back after leaving messages, giving false promises, etc. There have been several times I drove 35+ min to their place just because they were avoiding calls and times I went for an appointment that they refused to treat me for. They also have changed my appointment time the day of without explanation or leeway because of short staffing and running behind on schedules. Theyve charged me for not coming when they changed my time before, but have made me wait for 1.5 hours to get my treatment.It used to be better (although still not the best - I did have a technician who didnt do the best job which I didnt know until I got a better technician), but for about the past year or so, Ive noticed the quality of treatment and customer service has gone way downhill. Please go somewhere else where your money is worth the treatment!

I’ve been with them for over a year. Always had trouble with scheduling. After they took my money it was as if they stopped caring. I have done full body laser treatments with them. Customer service is terrible. I have tried to reach out to them many times and been ignored. Would give them zero stars if I could. I have asked for a refund & haven’t heard anything back (not surprised). They’ve basically stolen my money.
Dont waste your time or money coming to this unsanitary and unprofessional place. The staff is constantly changing and there is good reason for that. If you think you are getting a good deal on a service it is likely because you are getting what you paid for - nothing good. They will lie and say laser machines are down when appointments need to be rescheduled because staff is unavailable last minute. They will charge you a fee for being late or missing an appointment but wont offer refunds for services you have never received with them.
My 1st experience and it was beyond my expectation! Catherine was amazing. She explained to me step by step and making sure I was comfortable throughout the process. Both ladies at the front desk were nice and friendly. I honestly was having a second thought after reading all the bad reviews here. Im glad I took a chance and experienced it myself! Made a second appointment already!
0 stars if I could. My friend got her lips done here and they honestly looked great at first but they were bruised. So i decided to come here.. BIGGEST MISTAKE OF MY LIFE. They botched me and my friend. They did not heal like how it was supposed too. I had lumps that did not go away. It felt like I had a cyst or a squishy rubber inside. Got them done in April 2020, finally decided to go to a different place called OVME with great reviews and awesome big locations. Lady told me I needed to get them dissolved so I did. I saw some red flags with Skin Matters but avoided them. The patient rooms were dirty and the bathroom. The lady who did my lips had a stain on her jacket. A young lady had laser hair removal and came out with dark red spots all over her leg and they said she should put a cream next thing I knew someone wrote a review about the same problem. YOU WILL GET BOTCHED. Thank you OVME for saving my life.
I dont usually give businesses one star but Skin Matters attitude and professionalism toward their customers really enrage me.I purchased a $200 facial package with Skin Matters and when I showed up to my appointment, because of their new system, I was never put in and the $200 package that I purchased was not in my account. I purchased this package with the esthetician, Tatiana who recommends a series of facials that will fit with my skin. Well, when I showed up to my appointment, not only does she does not remember what package we have talked about, the way she treated me left me disappointed.When I asked to leave and get my money reimbursed, they still had a system error so they ask me to leave first and that they will call me directly to resolve my issue. The front desk receptionist promised to call me on that day but she did not follow through and I end up waiting for three more days and still nothing from them. I then called Skin Matters and left a couple of voicemails but still no on return my calls.After calling repeatedly, I finally got through to a receptionist, and she told me that she did not see the $200 package in my account so please screenshot a receipt to her. I did that, and then she says they cannot refund me the money but can set me up with another esthetician but I declined. I will now have to dispute the charge with my bank.Skin Matter professionalism to their customers is super disappointing. I do not recommend this business.
My friend and I bought a Groupon for a Juvederm procedure. We drove from North Georgia battling traffic & construction to arrive on time for our appointments. We were so disappointed to find out the person who does this procedure no longer works there and we would need to reschedule. No one bothered calling us to tell us not to come. Over 2 hours in the car, wasted gas and time for nothing. The receptionist stated that everyone was called, everyone but us! This is unacceptable customer treatment as well as a poor business practice. What a disappointment. I will be asking for my refund and would not recommend Skin Matters. 👎
Do not go here if you want to end up getting work to fix what they did to you. So unprofessional and so dirty on the inside. How embarrassing.
Ive been a client of skin matters for over 4 years now. Until last week, I have never had a problem with my facial laser hair treatments.I had a routine touch up done on June 3, 2020 and the Aesthetician ruined my skin. After my 10 minute session, everything seemed pretty normal until I came home and looked in the mirror. The Aesthetician who did my laser treatment burned my skin so badly. I am now left with horrible black spots all over my face.I am so upset about what she did to me and I’m humiliated. When I sent her pictures she pretty much brushed it off as a minor skin reaction. I’m so disappointed with skin matters.
The place is not equipped enough, I spend an hour listening to the cosmetologist trying to figure out where get the machine, where to plug it in and so on, very bad experience. You will definitely not have a relaxing facial, bunch of noise, the place seems old and dirty, I won’t recommend it
The staff at this location are very friendly and helpful specially Kathrin! I had my laser hair removal appointment with and she was beyond amazing. She did not even miss a hair follicle. Just ask for Kathrin!

Ive had 5 laser hair removal treatments at Skin Matters so far and am experiencing great results. The process is quick and I have not noticed any redness or tenderness after my treatments. The laser technicians are always friendly and knowledgeable and they always do everything they can to make sure you are comfortable. They have great specials, too, be sure to check their site for deals.They just moved into a cute new office, so now the parking is free (hallelujah). You can book online and I love that they have night and weekend appointments available so I dont have to leave work early. For those wondering (like I was when I first went), it is good manners to tip your technician. Id definitely recommend them!
Excellent medical staff!! Will not over charge!!! They know skin and they have lasers to treat All SKIN TONES!!!!! Very experienced and are loyal and honest and their training is not fly by night in a one day course. The staff is qualified and hair will not grow back like other places! Skin Matters USE* to be a great spa. I went yesterday for the first time in about a year to get a facial and man oh man has it gone down hill. When you walk in you immediately notice how hot it is because the air conditioner is off (when its hot outside), there is no music softly playing so its awkwardly silent -- you can hear the employees conversations that are happening in the very back of the building. And to top it all off the young man at the front desk is so monotone and in my opinion unconsciously rude. When I walked in there was no Hi, welcome to skin matters. Can you please sign in for me, but out of habit I knew to go ahead and sign in myself. While I had my head down signing in he shot his arm up to my forehead and I jumped back and then realized he was taking my temperature. I am sorry, and maybe I am just weird about personal space, but do not just stick something without my permission in my face. I get this is a COVID era and I get that it is mandatory BUT saying something like Matty, Im going to go ahead and take your temperature now if that is okay. Thank you. Now you can have a seat and someone will be right with you. Maybe Im a little old school customer service or maybe its because I have worked in customer service my entire life, but he does not belong at the front desk. The front desk person sets the tone for your experience and I can tell you all three of the things listed above already made me annoyed. Not to mention the young lady going to the back shouting Leah he came early, your six o clock came early is there a reason you are shouting in a place people pay good money for to come get work done and relax. And finally, I have no idea what is happening behind closed doors but skin matters can not keep an esthetician to save their lives. I always end up liking someone (Leah for microneedling is fantastic and she is so lovely and nice) and wanting them to be my regular esthetician, but every time I go back to get another facial they end up not being with the company anymore. This obviously speaks volumes about the company, not the employee when it becomes such a heavy pattern like this. I have already made up my mind that this company is no longer a company I can support like I have for years. I will be finishing my package and then finding a new spa. I strongly urge Skin Matters to step up their game, because at this point they arent even a player anymore.

This place is the worst! During my last laser session, the lasers broke and I couldn’t finish the session. Made a new appointment 6 weeks later, and I show up on time for the appointment and they were closed!!! No phone call no email, just a closed store during my appointment time. Have called numerous times to see if there is a resolution to this problem, and the owner, Lisa, refuses to call back. Save your time and money and go to a reliable place.
I wish I could rate this with no stars at all. I purchased a Groupon to come here for a dermaplane and chemical peel treatment and was severely disappointed. I was looking forward to it FOR MONTHS.Every time I tried to contact the office, no one would pick up the phone. I called multiple times trying to confirm my appointment and could never get anyone until one day, a random number called me confirming it. When I tried calling the number back, it wasn’t the office. Super confusing.Once I finally got to Skin Matters and walked inside, everything seemed unorganized. They had no clue who I was and they weren’t prepared. The walls were patchy with paint and papers/miscellaneous objects stuffed in a corner.Once my esthetician (I use this term VERY loosely) took me into the room, it was the most bizarre experience of my life. My esthetician was rambling the entire time and asked me if I had ADHD. How this is related to my skin, I have NO clue. Her actions were completely abnormal. She did no prep work on my face. Just took a cotton ball with the chemical peel solution and put it on my face. This was after I told her I had product on my face from earlier. Pretty sure you’re supposed to clean the skin first. She told me to leave it on for 5 HOURS! I walked out with this stuff on my face completely confused as to what just happened. I’m so glad I washed my face once I got home after reading reviews on Google. If I would’ve left that product on for 5 hours, I wouldn’t be surprised if I had third degree burns on my face. Such a waste of money for what was supposed to be a relaxing and informative session about my skin. I never even got the dermaplane treatment that I purchased on Groupon. At this point though, it’s probably best that didn’t happen.Moral of the story, save your money, time and skin AND DO NOT GO HERE. I’m almost positive no one here is licensed. I hate writing negative reviews, but this one is a no brainer.
I bought a package for 6 visits and am very unhappy with my results. Although I was told that for my hair and skin type I should have good results, its almost as if I never went. Very little change to bikini and none to underarms. Although the technicians were generally very nice, my favorite being Kelly, the front desk staff were not very friendly (outside of one who I didnt meet until the last visit, unfortunately I did not get her name). I was also disappointed to find out that although at each visit I stated that the results were not what I was hopping for, the settings were not really increased by much until my last visit or two. I was also informed, at my last visit, that buying the numbing cream would have been better because then the technicians would have been able to increase the laser settings by more! Since it was not as bad as I was thinking, I never bought the cream. Had someone suggested that doing so would not just add to comfort but improve the results, I would have used it. I was greatly looking forward to having this done and was considering it for a long time but now it feels more like a waste of time and money. It makes you wonder if since they know you paid for a package deal they are going to give you less than optimal results with the hopes you buy more visits a higher price to finish off the hair removal. Upon leaving the last day they were eager to sell us additional visits.BTW- their new location is better, free parking, shorter wait and the machines seemed to be down less
This place is really good. Prices are good, easy to park, it is really clean, and the people who works here are really nice and helpful. So far the laser hair removal is working really well for me. I had a Scheduling issue but they fixed really well and I felt that they did care. I think they are trying to get better everyday and I can appreciate that.I will go back to Skin Matter with no doubt.
I purchased a full body laser treatment voucher. Ive been very happy with the results. All my techs have been very careful, professional and informative in every session. They make it a point to ask how the last session went so they may adjust the next one accordingly, also they stress the importance of sun protection after the treatments and even give me sunscreen. None of them have ever asked for a tip. I would definitely recommend Skin Matters. Their new location is great and parking is much easier and free than the last one.
I have had used Skin Matters for laser hair removal services for 6 treatments(almost a year for full body). They have always been wonderful. Little wait time. They email reminders for appointments are great. Little discomfort for the procedure and they are always professional. The new location is much easier to get too and no parking fees. I would use them again without hesitation. I have used 3 different company for laser hair removal and they are the best with the best results.
I have had a very positive experience with Skin Matters. They have a very open office schedule which works great for people who work normal hours 8-5. I have had laser hair removal services at other offices and Skin Matters is by far the best. The people are nice, and I even notice a quicker hair removal response than other offices. Their prices are also better than other places I have been. In fact, since visiting their office I have decided to add other treatment areas. I would def. recommend giving them a try. You wont regret it.
Skin Matters is excellent. I have had bad experiences at other laser hair removal spas, but the staff here has always been professional and friendly. I have had especially great service from Molly. The spa itself is nicely decorated and always clean. Best of all, their prices are amazing. They frequently run deals and by my research are the lowest priced in Atlanta Metro without sacrificing quality or safety.

The ladies who work here are always pleasant, super informative, and hard working. They have 2 locations which I like. The owner told me she was in the process of opening a 3rd location. Their hours work great with my busy work schedule. They also have a variety of services offered and products to help maximize your goals. I purchased a Groupon and thats how I landed inside of Skin Matters. I would recommend this place to anyone.
Love Skin Matters. The new location is bright and clean. The staff is always friendly. Scheduling can be a bit tricky but as long as you schedule about a month in advance you should have no problem making an appointment that is convenient for you! They have lots of different lasers for all different skin types and really try to match you up with the best laser for you. Ive had amazing results from my treatments and would highly recommend Skin Matters to anyone interested in laser hair removal. Their prices are INCREDIBLE and really cant be beat!

I started out at the Howell Mill Road location over a year ago, getting laser hair removal treatments. I am much happier with their move to Buckhead. Definitely a better and easier location to get to. The staff is friendly and helpful. What I like most, is that their services are not overly expensive, and they offer specials all the time. Pricing can be a deal breaker for someone trying to stay on a budget.I have enjoyed my underarm laser treatments, which are not painful at all. Feels like a slight pinch, but I dont have to shave with horrible razors anymore, which left cuts and skin rashes. My underarms are very smooth, without any scars and look great in sleeveless outfits. Will soon start on other areas.Quick note..as a woman of color make sure the right laser wand is being used. It does make a difference.
The absolute worst experience I’ve had with a business. I first started doing treatments in December from a Groupon special I saw for 9 treatments. In those times of going my appointments have been screwed up twice back to back in a week to where I drove 35 minutes to this location and was sent home. No one never had record of my appointments or what treatments I’ve been getting done. Every time I came in two of the same staff that would always assist in my treatments had bad mouth the company when doing my session. The one time I lost it is when the staff tried to go back and forth with me on my appointment they confirmed online. I then reach out to the owner as she disclosed how she had to fire a specific person and her reason behind it which should not be any of my business. She decided to give me two sessions for the inconvenience and bad experience and told me I would get a 45 minute session. I came up there and the lady doing my treatment did it for 25-30 minutes and I informed her the time the owner and last who scheduled my appointment agreed upon. She said all of their sessions last 30 minutes so technically there was never an additional treatment given that day. The owner lied and misled me once again. I’ve experienced so much miscommunication at this location it’s ridiculous and after going consistently for one month I’ve seen so many new staff. Please save yourself the time and money not to go to this location. As customers we don’t understand the time sessions and how these treatments are done thoroughly we go by what the business educate their customers on when it comes to the sessions. Thorough communication needs to be provided to the customer to ensure a complete understanding.This is not a bad review out of spite but a bad review on this companies representation as a whole. Completely unprofessional.
I had my 1st microneedling today. Omg it was so painful, it felt like i was getting tattoo on my face! I could feel every needles puncturing through my face. She applied numbing cream on my face before the procedure but my face didnt feel numb at all because when she wiped of the cream I could feel her hand touching my skin, my skin wasnt numb. I had numbing cream on my lips before to get permanent makeup so I know what its like to get one. Either this nice lady didnt use enough numbing cream on my face or she actually use something else instead and said it was numbing cream. She worked on my right side longer than my left side face and barely touched my forehead, my right cheek was red and was supposed to be but my left side n forehead for obvious reason was not. It was a very quick procedure than I expected. I paid with groupon discount, is this why I got poor service, like taking short cuts? Im afraid to schedule another one but I already paid for 3 sessions 🤤. Gonna be 2 more painful sessions without the numbing cream 😭😭😭😭
Ive been pretty happy so far. The only complaint is scheduling. I havent really been able to get in when I need to in order to fit my schedule. Now that they are open on Sundays its getting a bit better, but Im very pleased with the hair removal results thus far!
I have been generally pleased with my multiple experiences at Skin Matters. Their former location was a bit difficult to find, and I didnt like having to pay for parking, but they have since moved to a more accessible location with free parking. All staff have been very polite to me, and for the most part, I feel that each laser tech has been knowledgeable and listened to my needs. For the cost, I feel that Skin Matters does a nice job, and would recommend taking advantage of their great lower cost laser hair removal services.
Ive had multiple laser hair appointments at skin matters, and have been extremely satisfied with the company. The employees are very helpful and courteous as well as knowledgeable. Ive had no issues in making and rescheduling appointments. They make it very easy and convenient. And most importantly, Ive received great results from their clean and state-of-the-art equipment. Highly recommend!
Great experience, they are very timely and I am rarely in there more than 5-10 mins! Very quick, clean, and efficient office. They have high quality lasers and the staff is all friendly. Only complaint is parking, but its not their fault as there is a ton in the shopping center, Id advise avoiding appointments at lunch or right after work if you can!

I completed my 6 sessions and I really like the treatments, the staff, and the place (free parking).The only concern I have is that I noticed that my first 4 treatments didnt have the same result as the last two ones, the technician who took care of me the last two times said I needed a little more power on the laser, of course it hurts more but the results are worth it. Now I just wonder if the final result would be better if all 6 sessions were like the last 2.Anyway Im happy with the results, Ill definitely come back and I already recommended SM to two friends.
Prices here are the best in town, and I find it always easy to get an appointment relatively quickly (not waiting for months). Staff are nice and efficient. New location is much better than the old location, and no pay-for-parking anymore. Easy, convenient and reasonably priced. Will definitely go back.
Skin Matters have an awesome staff! They are all very friendly and well trained. Wait times are very short, if you have to wait at all. Very reasonable rates and the laser machines are very good. Would recommend this place to everyone.

Their prices are competitive and fair, and they have really good lasers. The space is well decorated and inviting. I would recommend getting off the fence and trying Skin Matters, they have moved into a new spacious location. It is great for lighter skin with darker hair. It didnt really seem to get the blonder hairs on my lip, and I am currently having my underarms done.They went through 3 different scheduling systems, but the system is great! And they have deals on occasion to take advantage of. With at least 3 different types of lasers plus I hear they have the new nail fungus laser, its a good place to go. For me a bit far from the N GA mountains.
At the old location and on the old phone systems, I would have possibly agreed with some of the other reviews that said the service was slightly lower quality and it was hard to get an appointment. Now that they have changed locations, Ive never had a bad experience.Its very easy to get to this location and I love that I dont have to pay for parking to go in anymore. The staff is always polite and thorough. My appointment has always been performed on time. The waiting area is clean and well organized. I bought a Groupon for hair removal and Im glad I did; Im very pleased with the results that Im seeing just after a few treatments! I have yet to try any of their other services, but I wouldnt hesitate to after the quality service Ive received there.
Ive used Skin Matters for the better part of two years and have always been happy with my service. The techs and staff are courteous and professional and the office is clean and organized. Theyve been very accommodating; when a babysitter canceled on me at the last minute, the desk staff told me to bring my toddlers with me instead of canceling my appointment and were kind enough to watch them during my treatment!
Things have gotten much better since they switched locations and staff (at the old location, you had to wait over an hour for a scheduled appointment). I have been using Beth as my technician and she is great! I have seen good results thus far and have significantly less hair growth on my legs, underarms and bikini area with only 4 treatments. Still not really sure of the difference between the different machines, but so far, so good.
Love the new location!! They offer affordable laser hair removal services. I love my technician Dana; she is very knowledgeable and does a thorough job. The staff is also very professional and friendly. I have been going to them for about a year now and so far satisfied with the results.
I usually have a good experience here but the past two times I’ve come things have gone downhill. First of all the woman who did my treatments was 20 min late x 2 and reeked of cigarettes. She convinced me to get a few more treatments but when I came back she said she was leaving due to poor management. Then there was no paper on the exam tables (which is disgusting!) there’s been a lot of turnover. Wish I could get my money back for the pack I bought...

Skin Matters is a great place to go and get treatments done. They are always very courteous and quick whenever an appointment is made. I am usually in and out of there in under 30 minutes which is awesome! The technicians are always very courteous and strive to make you feel comfortable during the treatment. My only concern is that it can be difficult to schedule appointments there sometimes as they are very popular. Their online booking system did not work for several weeks and it took me quite some time to schedule an appointment.
Edit: in case you are wondering why there are so many reviews for this establishment, its because there have been incentives to write a review for a chance to win a free touch-up for the first 50 to respond. I sort of question if this incentive was distributed, but I guess I have no way of knowing. There is a slightly shady undertone to this business although this has much improved with the new location. They serve the model of pack them in at low prices for high profits. Ultimately, its probably cheaper than most places around so that makes it worth it.I have been going here since they were at the last location, and I must say while they clearly had some growing pains with accommodating everyone from all the promotions and working out their online system, the quality of the facilities, their location, and service have significantly improved.The new location on Roswell is well styled and bright. Its easy to park and in a much more convenient location. They also have new expansive hours to help accommodate everyone.You are getting a big discount, and while I didnt see results right away, the lasers seem up to par with others I have experienced. On the other hand, expect to tip (although be aware that some technicians are far more thorough than others), and be prepared to schedule your appointments online battling for availability weeks beforehand. If you are looking for laser hair removal with good prices, this place will probably suit you fine.
I have been going to Skin Matters for laser hair removal and would absolutely recommend it! They are extremely clean, quick and professional and the staff is always friendly and in a good mood. I was so excited to find the deal I got for laser hair removal at Skin Matters. Id never gotten this treatment before and wasnt sure what to expect. I am on my 5th treatment and I am beyond excited about the results. It is true, their old location stunk! You did have to pay for parking and it was hard to find. Most of the time, I wait less than 10 minutes. There was only 1 time that I waited for 45 minutes. The new location is beautiful and much easier to find (and you dont have to pay to park). I have seen a few different technicians and they have all been fantastic and very professional. The front desk staff have always been welcoming and accommodating. I would highly recommend Skin Matters for laser hair removal!
I get laser hair removal on my underarms from Skin Matters. They do a really great job. The staff is personable, it was a great deal, and they always confirm my appoints and remind me. I can book online which is nice. They just changed locations and I like the new one a lot. Sometimes they seem a little disorganized but I believe that was because of the move. I have only had good experiences here :)
Skin Matters is great! All the staff are very nice. They explain things in a way that I can understand. They are accommodating, even though my personal schedule is at times an inconvenience. Their new location only makes things a million times better (no more charges for parking) and the look and feel is very soothing. Im going for laser hair removal treatments and am seeing results. I love the new Skin Matters location and system. The new facility is bright and cheery. The front office staff is very courteous and the operation is much smoother than before. Skin Matters moved to Roswell Road recently and it is further for me to travel but worth it. I enjoy the experience. The staff is helpful and polite and I am enjoying not seeing the hair grow back! I am having issues with my underarms but management is more than willing to work with me.
I am disappointed with the service and lack of understanding; after driving 1 hour to my appointment it was cancelled without even a phone call, because they said I missed my time slot. However, the slot right after was also booked by me for someone I invited. Rather than do my 30 minute posture while the numbing agent set on the other persons face (takes 30 minutes to work) instead I was not given a service; even though last time I was here on time I was made to wait 30 minutes, because they were running behind I waited with no complaints. Yet the same consideration are not extended to their customers.Today was my sisters in law birthday, and I planned to buy a package for her but after how I was treated I didnt bother. I use to enjoy going here, because everyone including the front desk lady seemed sweet,but after taking a break and coming back later Im very disappointed. I also did not appreciate how stand offish the esthetician was, and how she seemed like I was bothering her by asking questions about other services.I planned to keep coming here for years to come, and was excited to share my beauty secrets with others, but now I just want the things I already bought to be done with so I can move on to a friendlier place.
Have not been to the new offices, so cannot comment on that, however I did find it annoying that I had to pay for parking at the old location--hope that has changed. More so because I really never waited a long time--I was usually in and out in less than 30 minutes. My experience with all the technicians have been good; they know what theyre are doing, take the time to explain it to me and answer all my questions completely and patiently. Not loving the results so far--good, not great--but have a few sessions to go; hopefully they will make all the difference.Ive found the people in the office much nicer than the tone of the website would suggest.

Like many others, I purchased a Groupon for Skin Matters, and was so excited about the great price. I had laser hair removal done 8 years ago and it was A LOT more expensive then. The location is great and very convenient, and the office is clean and bright. I have had great interactions with the technicians Ive seen...theyve asked the right questions and really seemed to want me to have a great experience. Scheduling online is very easy, and the wait times are really short. Ive had 3 treatments so far and can definitely see results. Im hoping the final results are great because I would love to go back for another area.
My husband got me a Groupon for “Microderm & a mini facial”, well to say the least it did not meet expectations.First impression, not impressive. The lady at the front desk checked me in and informed me that although I got there early for my appointment, most people had come late all day and that I’d have to wait a little bit. I understood and waited. There was no offer of water, or anything while I waited.The first front desk lady clocked out, second one clocked in and started working. Didn’t acknowledge my presence for the first 5-10 minutes of sitting in front me. Finally, she looked up and asked if I was interested in a water or something.After a solid 20 minutes of waiting (from my actual appointment time) my turn was up. I was taken back to the far room in the rear, was informed of the process and less than 25 minutes of me laying on the bed, it was over. Not sure what a “mini facial” stands for, but I was disappointed that my visit consisted of a semi-warm towel face wash, a chemical peel (acid & basic) and a lip balm. I expected at least an hour of relaxation which clearly was not the case.Only giving 2 stars because Kayla was nice and explained the peels to me.Not going back.
Great service, great value at Skin Matters! I grabbed one of their Groupons for 6 laser hair removal treatments and I have been SO HAPPY with my results. Ive had sessions with several of their technicians and each has been knowledgeable and extremely friendly. The equipment they use is very effective and their offices are clean and comfortable. Ive never had any scheduling issues with their system. I once had to cancel and reschedule due to illness and they were very accommodating to my needs. I will continue to get my touch ups at Skin Matters and am looking forward to taking advantage of one of their many monthly specials for another type of service!
I had an appointment for 30 min of microdermabrasion. Total time with beautician was 20 min, including after treatment massage. Overall experience was not thrilling. The equipment is outdated and I had no clue what products did she use. The lady indeed was very nice.
The new location is very nice and after working out a few initial problems like very long wait times and poor communication as far as why the wait was so long, things are great. The employees are helpful and friendly, very willing to answer questions and make suggestions. The online booking and confirmation service is convenient and easy to use. I have recommended them to several friends.
The company is very pleasant over the phone and in person. With only one treatment thus far, and having done 6 treatments before, they have great things and things I am unsure about..The great thing is that they offer a numbing creme for purchase at a great price. This creme does not completely avoid pain, but really seriously helps!The treatment in general, after only one, seemed as if it may take 50 or more since they space the lasers out so far. The best deals to ever purchase appear to be unlimited treatments, not just 6. But that is just with one treatment so far, so it could depend on the person doing them.That being said, be aware that they ask for tips at every treatment (cash or credit card). It would be better if they could add them on at the end and disperse them to the correct ones who did perform them.

Skin Matters is great! Got my extended bikini are done their laser hair removal services. It worked on my hair! The laser technicians were very nice and friendly and caring. Service is very nice, the location is better now...in the Publix shopping center (no parking fees!) The place is very modern and nice.

Irresponsible staff!! Made scheduled the first appointment just to give me a paper they could send me through email. Had me waiting 45 min twice for my apppointment because the person that will give me the treatment was late and then asked me for tip.
Ive been going to Skin Matters for about 2 years now. The laser service works beautifully when compared to other lasers at competitive services.Unlike others, I LOVED the on-line appointment scheduling. I am at the computer the majority of the day and late into the night when most offices are closed. The service has always been quick and friendly and Ive never been asked for a tip. The one time I did have a problem, it was rectified and I walked away a happy customer. So if you ask me, Skin Matters is synonymous with Customer Matters.

Beth has been my aesthetician and she is amazing and I strongly recommend her! Despite the fact that they are very busy, all the time, they are very accommodating and polite. That felt extremely scammy to me, so I came to read the reviews and low and behold, they are tricking people out of their money. Knew it was too good to be true. Money refunded. Dont waste your time.
Been very pleased with the service. I started with the underarms and did not show any results until the 4th treatment when I moved to the much stronger laser. I however have very course hair. I then bought another package for my chin and although I still have not seen any drastic results, I know they are coming. Pleasant staff, just not too fond of the new location due to the drive.

Skin Matters is not the BEST laser hair removal location that I have ever been to. The process is quick and easy (in and out in 10 minutes) but sometimes it seems a little TOO good to be true. Generally, I do see hair growth reduction but only for 6 weeks after my treatment-- after those 6 weeks the hair growth is back to growing every day. I thought this would just be the case for the first few treatments but after treatment 7, I realized this just wasnt working. I really want to like Skin Matters because the people there are very nice and they have great deals but its hard to keep shelling out money when it doesnt seem to be working. However, because I am optimistic Ill go back and try them again and maybe just ask my technician for a higher power or a different laser.
The new Skin Matters location is really nice and clean, a big improvement over the last location. I also appreciate that I dont have to pay for parking at the new location. The staff is very helpful and professional. The online booking is great. My only complaint is that when I e-mailed with the problem of not having great results in one laser area after a lot of treatments, I was just told that I had several treatments left, and was not offered extra treatments to correct the problem. Besides that, everything is improving, especially with the new location.

Horrible experience I have been there 4 times and waited for over 40 minutes twice. I am still waiting for a call back to speak with owner because I will not continue to waste my time waiting for technician to arrive. Also even booking appointments are a challenge here.
The new location is great! The staff members are very friendly, do a great job, and answer questions. The only con is that the later in the day you book your appointment, the less likely it is to begin on time, so I would recommend booking early morning appointments. Overall a good experience!
