If you need a temporary place to stay for longer than a week I would definitely recommend PadSplit. All utilities are included and at a very reasonable price. One downside is having to share a bathroom with quite a few people. This can be a hassle when needing to get ready for work etc. You can find rooms with a private bathroom but you will pay quite a bit more. Also check to make sure parking is available, at the location you are interested in, if you have a car.

Very very bad customer service, I’ve never in my life have had to beg a company that I am faithfully paying to call me! it’s getting very ridiculous to the point I am seeking another agency to rent from. The lady who answers the phone is very rude and hangs up the phone in your face consistently and never put in the requests they say! PadSplits never return calls. I do not recommend or would not recommend! ThanksPictures below is a place that they rented me, that was totally nasty and not what the pictures look like, and never return my 350 total cost to book and rebook. And when I call the company to get understanding they say someone has to follow up! Trash

Hit me with a $125 fine. Gave 3 different reasons for the fine sounds like they made it up to get more money. Rats and big roaches at the 3499 Garfield Way SE, Forest Park ga location. After a number of conversations my account was canceled and I was asked to leave. Homeless now until I can find a place to stay. They never fix anything. Bathroom is disgusting and needs serious attention.

I am glad that I found the company PadSplit that helped me get into a affordable housing situation. PadSplit allowed me to save money, be in my own space, meet new people and became my first stepping stone to get to my next milestone in my life which is to find my own place to be totally independent. PadSplit offers a wonderful option to find affordable housing. No longer do you have to search around for roommates to fill the house to help pay the rent. The easy application process makes it such a breeze to get moved in quickly.The homes are well maintained and customer service is top notch.

Ive hosted on PadSplit for the last 6 months and have nothing but great things to say about their responsiveness, thoughtfulness, and the care they show to their renters and hosts. They are strong advocates for their renters and go the extra mile to give hosts tips (and requirements) to make sure the homes on their platform are hospitable and safe. I moved into a location 5/2020 and instead of staying a few months, I end up staying over a year. I was able to save funds and purchase my 1st home. This was a great opportunity to get back on my feet, especially during this pandemic.

Mold in the bathroom and several other issues. Too many for space provided. Bullies and Extortionist. Beware

Place is extremely quiet and roomy. One single complaint to mention would be the large amount of spider webs on the exterior of the home. If brooms were available that will resolved quickly.

The house i stay in its dirty. People up all through the night. People eat other people food. It be good if we had a lock or a code on every door!!! Other then that its a great place to live

Make sure you ask questions about the living arrangements before moving in. You might be in with 8 people sharing one bathroom. Not good! But, at least you have a decent place to stay and its much cheaper than extended stays and hotels

I fell into my wardrobe and practically crushed it. I tried to put it back together but I couldnt so I reached out to padsplit a technician knocked on my door early on the second day he was professional and he did a great job of making it possible for me to hang my clothes after being on the floor for two days. Im extremely happy and grateful to padsplit. GREAT JOB 👍

I am renting a room with Padsplit here in Atlanta and its great! My roommates are all quiet, respectful and really nice! The property manager and landlord are all responsive and made my move in process smooth and easy. I definitely recommend if you need a place to stay long or short term, so you can save a lot of money ($!) and they report to the credit bureau so you can raise your credit and eventually get a place of your own! The application process took LITERALLY less than than 3 minutes (background check and income verification) If you need to upload paystubs or other proof of income itll take a little bit longer. I was able to book a room the same day. Its giving very much airbnb vibes but for rooms! Just be advised that if you have a vehicle, make sure theres parking available on the street or on the property itself before booking! The lawn is manicured, the backyard, kitchen and common areas are clean and the neighborhood is very quiet. This is a really great company and Im excited for this experience. Thanks Padsplit!10/10.

I’m not going to lie the first pad that I booked and moved into is horrible. The host didn’t seem to care to respond to any of my messages. None of the appliances worked and the room that I booked and paid for was occupied. By another pad split member. Real slumlord type vibes. The reason why I keep my faith in pad split is because of their customer service reps. Very quick to respond to each message and rather understanding of your situation. They work with you to resolve any issues you are having. Jeremy and his co workers exceeded my expectations and time to being transferred into a new pad. They were with me every step of the way and made sure to make it a point that everything will be ok. Also that the other pad was unacceptable and I didn’t have to stay in there if I didn’t want to. I could be refunded or transferred to another pad. Pad split is a great company with an awesome team.

Its different...Im greatful...God brought me here for a reason...Ive leaned more about people from all over. Im off the streets living on and off in my truck for 3 years..i didnt tell my children nor friends but God sent me an Angel whom took care of me..after I had to drop everything to take care my 86 yr young mother and placed her in a great nursing rehabilitation center for dementia...I had a nervous breakdown...got help. Now Im here.

I’ve had both good and and bad thoughts when I first moved to a PadSplit home but I thoroughly enjoyed the stay, it was affordable and helped me reach my goal of getting my own place while working.

LIke everyone else who gave their negative reviews this company does not make any attempt to talk to prospective customers. If I had a place I wanted to split I would not use this method.

Becoming a padsplit member was an easy process. The rooms are affordable and where I choose to live is perfect for me. The only problem I have is you dont really know the size of the room. My first didnt come with a closet but I was able to switch. All in all its okay for the money.

I found out about this place through someone who was using the service at the time… the only pro for padsplit is that they are slightly cheaper than Airbnb but, the amount of money you pay weekly/monthly isn’t worth it because they don’t ensure safety or cleanliness at the padsplit homes. I recommend doing thorough background checks before even allowing people to stay… you have to think about the SAFETY of everyone. It was one big sloppy girl at the Janice Dr location that tried to fight me while I was pregnant twice just because I told her to stop leaving food by my door. The girl was evicted by padsplit and still chose to stay there and wait for a court order eviction.Also, beware of the fees that will come with the house being unclean!! Those fees add up. Best of luck to anyone who have to stay at any of these padsplit homes.

Ive got a nice big room in a corner of the house and Im only paying 600 month utilities included. This is a great deal.

I have been here about a year, moved in last I think August, If you are a responsible adult and follow the rules, you will be allowed to stay, if you pay on time your credit score will go up,they report to the credit bureau,they do have RULES poasted follow them, you going to have some people who just dont care about nothing, rules or any body,you pay you stay,they give you all kinds of chances to make it work out, this is my position on PADSPLIT.

I have been trying to get in contact with someone for 4 days regarding the fact that my house is basically one, not safe, and two, can in no way shape or form be adhearing to any sort of building codes. I keep being told someone named Jeremy will reach out to me. He never does. Then at one point he emailed and lied saying he reached out to me (he didn’t). Padsplit is fine if you get a decent house, but most of them are bad. Like how do you have a SEVEN bedroom house and ONE bathroom? Like I said, I know all the houses aren’t like this but ALOT are and that’s ILLEGAL. Anyway. Definitely reporting to anyone I can. It’s so disappointing because they advertise as “affordable housing” and all this other stuff and sure the rates are ALRIGHT. However you can’t say affordable housing but put people in unsafe living conditions and also not hold the home owners or yourself as a company accountable.

This is good for single people trying to gain their footing or individuals out of town for work (e.g., traveling nurses, contract workers, etc). If you can afford it, I would definitely recommend renting a room with a private lavatory 😬.

Well I experienced a lot staying in a padsplit home. Its totally different from being in ya own without all the rules. I didnt like the part where we couldnt have over night quest even if he r she is a spouse or not. I didnt think that was fair cause we as people have needs and wants too. But to eaches own. Tbh i am still with padsplit. let me tell you everything yall are saying is what is happening to me... they lie.. its dirty.. they do not help with door codes. and they just in general not truthful. its messy and they are poorly people. charge i asked about did not make sense then they want me to pay more even though i paid in full.. story kept changing from two people.. get it together padsplit! i got to move asap!!!

This is not affordable or professional at all!! They are discriminating against couples. Its not affordable housing when my husband needs a separate room🙄 $60 for 2 applications + $145 for 1 room + $215 for an additional room is absolutely insane. I canceled in the required 48hours and still wont be receiving all of my money back. Customer service is a joke and after sitting on hold for 20mins i was sent to voice mail.This company is nothing more than a poverty trap.

Just having problems with roommates not everybody try to control the house and not being respectful of others and other problems

They refuse to respond to maintenance requests or phone calls. Most of their homes are poorly located. They don’t care about their members at all just about taking your money and are totally fine with kicking you out to be homeless. I’ve been on hold with them twice for over 45 minutes, with an automated system telling me that there are two callers ahead of me then one caller ahead of me and then that I am the next caller in line. Then the line just disconnects. They make it impossible to just live and be comfortable

PadSplit is a dope housing community! Literally better than a few apartment complexes I stayed in. Was able to save, invest and ultimately become financially free ! 3 Days Later. My door is still unhinged. And my rent is $100 over what it should be.Whoever responds to these critiques needs to head up their quality control. My issue, Im out of town for family emergency and my door has been split in half. This has happened before. A resolution would be better posted than contact PadSplit. Hint: this is contact.

My brother rents with padsplit he received an email stating that he has to moved within a week. His rent has been paid on time. They didnt give him are the other roommate proper notice.

They have members that don’t even stay with Padsplit leaving reviews to balance all the bad reviews. Don’t believe anything you’re reading besides how rude and unprofessional they are. They never respond to requests by email or phone and when you do get a hold of someone they hang up or have a 2 minute conversation with you giving promises that are never fulfilled. Whoever is in charge of payments doesn’t know what they are doing. They make it impossible to be comfortable and have a peace of mind in your own home. They only want your money. No one here cares about people or their well-being

Living situation okay if you find a good location . A lot of them are in crime zones . Somebody robbed me that lives in the house so that’s a thing. And maintenance is horrible . Front door lock has been broken for over a month . My bed room door is unhinged and they haven’t fixed it . It’s been a week . And you can barely really reach somebody . It’s not a bad move If your in serious need of a space with no commitment. But this isn’t a situation you stay in comfortably.

PadSplit opened my eyes up to all new possibilities. I recommend it to everyone. PadSplit makes sense if youre in a transitional period in your life or need a break from finances, its inexpensive compared to most rentals. You have housemates, but people are busy, so they are rarely home. You have your peace and solitude. Alternatively, if you are into the social aspect of communal living, there is plenty of opportunity for that. This isnt an option for people looking to make this their end all, be all. It is a shortstop. Yes, you can stay forever theoretically, but it is most useful when you have a larger goal (travel, buy a home, save money, etc.) The neighborhoods are great because they are in the city limits. Who wants to drive 30 minutes every day to work? All in all, it works if youre striving for something better.

Initially had a great response to COVID 19. Stopped visitors, contact and transfers which lowered the risk of contact with the disease. HOWEVER, moved a member in who was very vocal publicly about his positive diagnosis less than 9 days before moving into the space who also refused to isolate himself and limit contact points with shared spaces. If you’ve been working hard at limiting your exposure to COVID 19. THIS IS NOT THE PLACE FOR YOU. -edit: I see there is a reply. My original post still stands. No screenings, no one even comes to clean rooms between members

I had great experience with PadSplit. Quick turn around from application, screening, to move-in. It saved me when I needed emergency housing. I had to leave because job relocation out of the state. I would definitely sign up again.

Having to wait on the phone for 20 minutes doesn’t make it easy to speak with someone either. Ive really enjoyed working with PadSplit so far. They are providing a much-needed housing option for the Greater Atlanta community and a unique opportunity to utilize rental properties in a manner that meets the needs of the market today. I love how they also provide 24/7 tele-doc services for their residents. It’s a honor to partner with them and provide affordable housing. If makes sense financially for me and is low hassle.

Proper cleaning is not practiced (depending on the location); I experience bug bites repeatedly. As well maintenance and customer service is poor. DO NOT fund your account, they will not refund your money if you move or cancel your membership. In addition, the layout and pictures are very deceiving. Please note you will not know the location of you rental until the day before. If you move in on the weekend you are screwed. I was locked out of my room for several hours on more than one occasion. Great if this is your last resort!

So I was extremely worried when I started looking for a new home, but JEREMY did a wonderful job helping me. The first home i chose was not ready on move in day but Jeremy found an even better home for me. Very thankful!!!!

The good reviews you’re seeing about padsplit are fake! Padsplit is horrible! There is no accountability whatsoever for anything. They are evicting people even though there was a ban on evictions. They don’t help with any issues that arise and believe me issues always arise. They don’t bother answering the phone or responding to emails or chat msg unless it’s about them making money; otherwise forget about it. They’ll leave you on hold indefinitely. They have all these fake rules they don’t enforce. They act like they’re trying to help people when they are just money grubbing. They don’t keep the house common areas clean. Everything, according them them, is our responsibility. We’re supposed to be responsible for ourselves and other people we don’t know. After only a few months in the midst of a pandemic and economic crisis these people have not only evicted people, but raised the rent. These people don’t care one iota about the people that live in their properties. They only care about looking good and making money.

Padsplit is very innovative and helpful to those who are single and need flexibility. I initially had difficulty moving in and was discouraged after being told that I would have to wait until Monday of the next week to get access to my room, because someone didnt complete the task of coding my keyless pad to the bedroom I had secured. On this past Sunday I came in after a few glasses of wine and entered the incorrect code and was granted access to room. To my surprise I reentered the incorrect code and was granted access. I sent an urgent maintenance request via the internet at 9:30ish pm that evening. I didnt expect a response until Monday morning. Upon my arrival home Monday evening it was still unrepaired. I sent another email and with any notification and guy arrived in the later part of the evening. He was not discreet at all and disclosed what was occurring with my lock and others were able to hear. My lock was not fixed ( reprogrammed) nor was it replaced with a standard key lock. I had to sleep without knowing if my door was locked from the outside & had to br the ng all my valuables to work with me this am. The technician wasnt even certain if it would be replaced today or not. Im very very concerned about the negligence of this matterUPDATE 1.23.2020The main door keyless entry has been malfunctioning and completely stop OPERATING since its been very cold. Noone has answered or addressed the maintenance request. The door has been left unlocked; myself and other occupants have to bang on the door to get let in. One of my roommates had to call me at 2am to be let in and I had to use the restroom outside because I could not get in after coming in one night.9.22.2021I received an email after complaining about the host and her maintenance issues, but the company will nit supply proof to support the email.

If you have to find a cheap place ok, but these spots are in crime zones. Big shootout across the street today and not the first one.

Overall, my experience has been interesting life on life terms. Hard to foresee issues that come up even with the best preparation. Communication is a must and PADSPLIT has done well, few companies or people are straight forward about whats the solution. Affordable housing thats provided is by no means a one size fits all approach. However, I am thankful that I was introduced to PADSPLIT so I could make a stronger commitment to my future with the help provided. I love it!!

They never respond to maintenance or support requests in a timely manner through email or phone. Every phone call I’ve made I’ve been on hold for over 45 minutes then a 2 minute short conversation to fulfill a request that is never done. I send at least 4-5 emails before someone decides to respond. Whoever is in charge of payments is constantly making mistakes. I recently spent another 45+ minutes on hold just for them to answer then hang up on me and I have to start the process all over again. 90% of their agents are rude and unprofessional and don’t know what they’re doing. Most of us just want a reasonable nice place to stay with no conflict and they make it extremely hard to be comfortable in your own living environment. Most of the homes are not kept up. They even tried to move me to a room full of rain damage and don’t let you view the property before moving in. No one with Padsplit actually cares about your well being they just want your money.
