Apartments LOOK really nice on outside but the inside of the buildings walking to your door is very dirty it looks like the projects. Once inside your apartment its nice! However i do know someone that had roaches under his fridge when he first moved in. My first week there 6-7 cars were broken into! Do not move here. Very ghetto.
Needs upkeep comp. Is not being kept up the breeze ways are very dirty they have not been cleaned since they were built . . if housing. do inspand enforce these comp. will not look like they look .you scared to invite company get it together rent office. you all are still close .most offices are open. we no why you all are not open you want to act like you all are working . bou come to the door with attitude when resident have to come you all are very nasty to the resident.
I can’t speak for the other buildings in this complex, only for 455 Fulton St SW building at the corner of Fulton and McDaniel to the right of the leasing building (#500) if you’re looking at McDaniel. Everyone in our building has always been friendly. It’s kind of a rough neighborhood, but if you’re someone who is fine with just going from their car to the building each day vs taking walks and bike rides nearby, then this should work for you. You can find other nature nearby, some good parks are a 10-15 min drive. Daily sirens but it’s downtown so that’s inevitable (and it’s mainly just fire trucks anyway?) We’re a group of young girls living here and other than two of our cars being broken into when we first moved in, we haven’t had any safety issues. Despite reading the other reviews upset with the management, I have only had positive experiences working with them. If they don’t pick up the phone just stop by the office and someone will almost always be happy to help. If you want a complex that’s pretty lax about things, the staff are gonna be lax too. The apartment itself is sturdy and was mostly clean when we moved in. They stalled on letting us move in for a week, but the previous tenants were college boys who really did a number on the place, so they were just trying to get it back in good shape for us, which I appreciate (and we were given a break on rent because of it). We have an awesome balcony for our three bedroom. Any maintenance issues we’ve had have been dealt with pretty swiftly after going to leasing and letting them know. Walls are noise proof. In sum, this place is ideal for young people who need a stepping stone apartment downtown and aren’t bothered by tiny issues. And who are fine with living in an downtown neighborhood with mechanicsville’s reputation. In my year here nothing too unfortunate has happened and I’ll be very sad to leave.
Needs Attention by elected officials
Im approaching a year here with my co-worker (roommate). We were able to snag a renovated 2B 2B here for 1300. No complaints, and the apartment looks like something out of Buckhead. Only problem is the there is not much sunlight and we dont have a balcony. My vehicle (knock on wood) has not been broken into nor my roommates and we both drive 2020s. Cameras and Security are around 24/7. The only thing I would recommend is if you are someone who orders packages all the time. Always require a signature. Due to school being out the kids here dont have much to do so they collect and keep the packages when you are not home. Amazon never knocks and neither does UPS/FEDEX so that can be annoying. I am a night owl, and come home usually around 4a-5a on weekends. Never any issues other than trying to find parking but thats a given. I would recommend for the young college, post grad, young professional. Everything is right here within a 15min distance.
Great place, but what no one has mentioned is how annoyingly loud the train nearby is. Honks it’s horn at least 9 times a day and keeps constantly waking me up at night while I’m deep asleep.
Its okay places to live
THESE APARTMENTS ARE GREAT !!!!!! PERFECT DOWNTOWN LOCATION WITH NICE CITY VIEWS. RENT REASONABLE WITH GOOD SERCURITY. YOU WILL NEVER MISS OUT ON THE ACTION IN ATLANTA. A WONDERFUL PLACE TO LIVE !! I GIVE IT 10 STARS !!!
Its a great place to stay, Just the people that dont wanna keep up their homes looking nice . And do right by the complex to do better in the city... No problems just peace and quiet
Came to visit my cousin.
This is a horrible place to live. If your A/C goes out, you will be stuck in a house for 5 days with no air. Staff is very rude! Hallways are filthy and are never cleaned. Not safe! Loud! Overall bad. Reminds me of the projects of a group home!
Really nice apartments. Could use more parking
The area is well secured and the community is very pleasant and welcoming. The apartment itself is very updated and modern.
This place is a nice spot for cheap rent and convenience. THATS IT. To start the managing team is horrible. They never answer the phone, rarely respond to emails, and have nasty attitudes. I was promised all maintenance problems i had would be fixed within the first month. 3 months later half of my stove doesnt work, my refrigerator leaks, my ice machine doesnt work, my dishwasher floods, and my balcony door is busted. I could keep going but this review is making me me more mad. Lets just say avoid at all cost.
Way to many robbery in the 500 Building back parking lot. Young boys are robbing women while they sit in their cars. Rent off won’t fix all the parking lot street lights. Which cause it to be dark in the back parking lot. You may wanna reconsider moving in this community. (High crime area)
Relatively clean, excellent location with easy access to highway, downtown & all of West Atlanta, North or South.
Good morning. My name is Shanequa Hill and I want to reach out to person of authority to resolve a personal issue that recently occurred yesterday after the process of my Mechanicsville CitySide housing application was re- submitted Tuesday April 18, 2017 after receiving a phone call from Cynthia stating that she could not find my previous documents (check stubs, birth certificates, bank statements, social security cards, etc) that was given to her a week before. Friday April 21,2017 I received a phone call from Ms. Cynthia again stating that I was approved, everything (background check, credit check, job verification check, etc) came back verified and clear for me to get the keys and move in. I got off work early and ran my deposit money order over to them even though they did not have possession of the keys to the units. The home inspector also came out to the address that I listed for proof of residency and I asked her was everything good and she said YES and that I will receive a phone call Monday morning. Monday was yesterday and yes I did receive a phone from Ms.Cynthia telling me that I was DENIED to move in because where I was living failed the inspection. I couldnt believe my ears. I explained to Ms. Cynthia and Melinda Lee that I am a victim of domestic violence and that I have been homeless since I was pregnant. My daughter is now 2 years old. I do not have anywhere healthy to go and all I want to do is to establish a strong foundation and provide a healthy lifestyle for my daughter and me. I have no control on how someone else take care of their home. I am not on a lease and I didnt have any knowledge that I couldve fill out a homeless affidavit until Melinda Lee informed me about it after I was denied. Ive been sleeping from pillow to post with my child since she was and I need for Ms. Debbie to make some kind of accommodations considering the fact that I past all aspects of the qualifications up until the home inspection. I really dont have a permanent home to be inspected and I am doing everything in my power for you not to take this opportunity away from me. I really need a home.
Im warning you now if you thinking about moving here be prepared for the leasing office to hardly ever pick up the phone. You really have to be in their face if u want anything done
One of Atlantas best and historical neighborhoods! #culture
Very rude staff member who answered the phone when i called today and she refused to give me her name. Refused to give any information that I was calling about.
This community never picks up the phone they forward all calls to automatic service ! Which is not helpful at . But soon as you walk into the office there is no customers or residence in the office . This is not cool at all please management bring this to an end
Decent but the neighborhood is challenging
After 7 years they asked that i replace the carpet for 800.00 and also have the unit painted for 400.00 after doing nothing to the unit for 7 years. I think NOT...
Close to downtown and the night life.
