Personally, this is just about THE WORST complex to live in. The only great thing about it is the landscape. It looks life a fairytale when it’s HELL. The reason for that being is solely the rent office & maintenance, especially the new so called property manager, Beverly. They will not respond, they will not react, and if anything in your apartment is damaged you will be placed at fault. They allowed a water leak to persist for days on end before maintenance came to “check” on the emergency that I called in, it destroyed my house and somehow, the property manager, Beverly KNOWING their negligence was the blame, was completely in denial and refused to replace any of my damaged property what so ever. Long story short they are very unreasonable and they do everything in their power not to take responsibility. Problems are allowed to sit, and the worst part about not having cooperation is having the property manager pretend she will take care of things but they only and always do it THEIR way, NOT for the benefit of the tenant, who’s money is being taken yet the rules are not being followed. My entire time I continued living in this neighborhood was for the location, however due to an absurd situation in which I received negative backlash for although I was completely not at fault, I have decided to break my lease and completely forget this awful place. This was the final breaking point amongst multiple issues ( including MOLD ), which took them awhile to address as well. This complex is not worth the stress. I would write a -0 if I could. This is an honest, non-biased opinion because these are facts that can’t be proven and events that truly happened.
Ive been living a M Street for the past year and have had such a great experience with the staff. Jordan last minute helped me find a 3 bedroom at an amazing rate in a matter of 10 minutes and was SO kind through out the whole process. Shes amazing and my roommates and I are so gracious for her work.
I visited my daughter and parked close to her apartment because there were no handicap spots near by and my car was booted. Be sure when visiting you park in visitors spots that $75 or more will hurt. Shame on M Street first for not reserving spots for the handicap and secondly for not having visible signs posted up front near resident parking warning people.
I just want to start by saying the staff here does a terrific job of addressing all your matters as a tenant and applicant. Angel and Solita are two of their leasing agents that are great when it comes to providing solutions/fast results. Love those two
I have been living at M Street going on 3yrs. The staff is Awesome. I get the best customer when I come to the office. Hats off to Jerome Solilta, Angel and the rest of the staff. Job well done. Keep up the good work.
If i could give zero stars, I would. This place is horrible! The staff is absolutely unresponsive. They have “new management” that appears to only make things look good but have still not addressed the actual issues at the property. The rent is ridiculous especially in comparison to the newer complexes around. This place is flat out ghetto in comparison - from staff not EVER answering the phones or emails and maintenance taking their time to get to the MANY issues.
If you like living with bugs, never hearing back from the leasing center, and never getting your maintenance requests completed - THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU!
I recently moved to ATL from FL. From the upkeep of the community to the quick friendly response of the maintenance personnel, they have made this Florida girl feel at home! Thank you!!
As soon as I pulled into the complex it just immediately grabbed a hold of me. The community feels safe and that’s very important to me. Solita who is one of the managers walked me through the entire process, she was very patient and extremely helpful. Granted.. the entire process took quite some time but I was never left at limbo. She called me every day to let me know the status of my application and what I needed to do to expedite the process. My experiences with other apartment complexes was never this smooth. Normally I would have to call them every day to figure out what’s going on. Long story short lol I definitely recommend moving to this apartment complex.
I’ve been here four months and this what I would call a bottom of the barrel, whole in the wall apartment complex. I’m going to state facts in this review. The Negative:- Pet owners in the community don’t pick up their dogs poop. You can imagine that when it rains mud and poop mix together and you’re not sure what you’re stepping in.-Billing every month since I’ve moved in rent has increased. I’m sure that’s an issue given rates are supposed to be fixed given lease terms.-The community and apartments have an unresolved electrical issue. Explain why there are community power outages, the package lockers hardly work, and the lights in my apartment consistently flicker?- tenants are generously loudPositive-great location for Coffee Food and Drinks
I went to help a friend with her cat while she was out of town and since she forgot to leave a key, front office allowed guest access to get into unit for the hour. But upon arrival, the unit door key they had on file did not work (even front office clerk tried). When I approached Management about what to do to gain access to the unit, the manager told me I needed to pay for a locksmith. I explained how I believe that cost would be property managements responsibility. He got upset and said You know what? This conversation is now over. LEAVE. I started dialing the residents number and asked the manager if we could get the resident involved before I leave the property as I just want to be sure the cat is fed. I was maybe in his office a total of 2 minutes before he called 911 and claimed I was refusing to leave and would like police to escort me off the property. I of course left and called the resident to let her know I wouldnt be able to help with her cat.Not even 10 minutes after I left the property, the resident called me back and told me they actually did have a key and that the manager apologized. This manager scared me so bad I was shaking when I left. I will never be stepping foot in the front office at M Street ever againUPDATE - I called as requested and there is no management available that is able to resolve my concerns.
I have been living at M Street apartments for about 6 months now and I love it, and the customer service from Management and office personnel is impeccable especially the Manager Mr. Jerome he goes above and beyond for any issues you may have. Prime example in passing I mentioned I had an issue with my trash disposal I’m thinking he’s going call someone to help or tell me do a service request, but no he followed me to my apt and fixed it in his dress clothes. Kudos M Street!
Ive been here for almost 3 years and I dont have any complaints. Jerome, angel and the whole staff are very reasonable and down to earth people. Maintenance are always here when I make a request for anything. The whole gated community is nice. The pool area is awesome!!!
Ive enjoyed living here. My apartment is comfortable and bright. I see the occasional bug, but its not too bad. The front office is sometimes difficult to contact, though, so expect to have to go bother them in person if you need something. Its (probably) the best value for apartment living in the area.Edit: I removed a star because recently there have been noise problems at night with people singing and partying at all hours right outside my window. I got used to the trains, but voices are harder to tune out.
I have been living here for 8 months now. I would highly recommend not living here. My roommates and I constantly have packages go missing, people steal packages from the mail room, and they have yet to figure this problem out. The apartment tried installing a door to the mail room but the mail system goes down all the time, and anyone can walk in during the day. I have had priceless packages go missing for months now. The apartment itself is old and falling apart. The cross streets it is located at are very noisy. The gate we have is always broken, overall the majority of people who live here dont respect the complex. The apartment location is amazing, but everything else is disappointing, all four of us are leaving and will not be renewing our lease.
I immediately felt a posh sence of entitlement when I walked in the leasing office. Frankly they were rude and I encourage you to look elsewhere.
Solita Lambert and Angel are some of the best people Ive encountered while living in midtown. The simple fact that they still operate out of an heart energy and are totally dedicated to the people is a blessing. I dont know how my current moments wouldve been if they didnt save my life so much and look out for me, especially with some impactful life changes that happened to me. Thank you to the both of these incredible souls for being Angels in real life. M street you have great leadership within them. Blessings to them and all they do. ❤
The location is great. Ive been here about a year and have had zero problems. The amount of space for the price can’t be beat. The staff is very friendly Solita and Jerome are so helpful!!! No neighborhood problems, a coffee shop and cleaners right downstairs!
The nice apartments are ruined by the frustrating landlords. Its clear that the folks running the place just care about your cash than your person. Theyve been getting increasingly militant about the parking lots -- theyll boot your car as a resident then force you to pay $75 just to unboot it in your own parking lot. Plus, they prioritize younger folks with disposable income by letting you purchase your own Reserved parking spot that they then police. Its forcing a weird scarcity of lot space just to squeeze more money out of residents.I also cant tell you how many packages Ive lost here. The landlords require mail carriers to drop packages off at a secure location then take no responsibility when it isnt used correctly or when packages are stolen.
BEWARE of poor management, old unkept units, HIGH Renewal rates, and they add expenses during a global pandemic. Be watchful of last minute trickery at move in from Agents and Manager.I moved into this apartment April 2020. The day before move-in they switched my unit to a unit that was a higher rate. It was clear the apartment had been impacted by a flood, which was not disclosed before move in. The baseboards were swollen from water, the baseboards were separated from the flooring and bugs came under them from outside, black mold was in the ceiling and the windows. I asked for a mold test and they refused, but they already had a signed lease so there was nothing I could do because they made it mandatory to sign the lease before move in. There were many more items that were undone on move in day as well.During my stay, there’s been repeat maintenance concerns that made me have to pay extra money for bills because maintenance repeatedly failed at fixing the concern. The property manager Jerome ignores your emails repeatedly for at least a week at a time. The only way he’ll respond is if you include the other team members, and that’s after he has ignored you. He does not apologize or accept accountability for his behavior. Once the other team members are involved, they start helping and then you have to start all over with the not responding for several days. The office suffers from poor customer service and poor leadership. Now it’s time to renew and they recently added a mandatory valet trash service ( very insensitive during a global pandemic). To boot, the trash people have failed to pick up the trash and removed the trash can and never returned it. Now it’s time for renewal and to stay will be a total 10% increase that is non negotiable. Sounds like a coronavirus pandemic opportunity to gouge residents. I will not be renewing. I’d rather pay another community.
The hallways smell like urine and garbage now that theyve mandated a new front door trash pick up service. Its awful
I’ll start this off by saying I love the spot I live in and am grateful for the staff setting me up with this location in such short time. I do plan on being here for a while. But it is very frustrating trying to get mail specifically packages delivered here because there is a mail thief. The mail room is not protected, not locked just open to the public, residents and non residents. Our gate breaks constantly so that makes it easier for someone to come in and pick up a random package off of the ground. We do have locked but apparently they are optional to the carriers. And to make things worse our leasing office refuses to accept packages in our behalf making this process even more frustrating. Someone needs to take responsibility for the repeating cycle of missing mail. But all in all it’s a great place to live, just get a PO Box so you things aren’t stolen.
Do not live here. Here is why:The rent price may seem attractive at first but having lived here for a year I now realize it is not worth it and you end up paying significantly more. Save yourself the headaches, consider spending a few hundred bucks more elsewhere. It’s worth it, trust me.This apartment complex’s business model is similar to Spirit Airlines, except at least with Spirit airlines they’re upfront about extra luggage fees and have no hidden fees. M Street entices you with relatively cheaper rent, but once you sign the lease and there’s no going back you are faced with very expensive recurring monthly charges.I end up paying $156 a month for sewer alone! Another $61 for water! On top of that, $30 a month to use the in-unit washer/dryer, and a questionable monthly admin fee. (Screenshot of May 2020 charges attached.) Keep in mind there’s also a non-refundable $309 application fee.The pictures you see on their website and the showroom used for tours is NOT at all reflective of the actual unit you get. And I understand showrooms can be polished, well-furnished, and coated in fresh paint, but once you move into your unit you’ll see that it’s quite disingenuous.Except for the bathrooms, kitchen, and entrance, there are NO ceiling lights at all in the unit unlike the showroom. They conveniently left that part out during the tour. None in the bedrooms. None in the living rooms. We ended up having to buy standing lamps to illuminate each room. The kitchen light system is very old. We had to call maintenance literally every month to replace the light bulbs because they burnt out every month. When we first moved in there were roaches everywhere because we were on the first floor. I don’t fault management as the previous owner did not bother to call pest control. Trains can be loud if you end up on the side of the building next to the tracks. The appliances are very old and not up to date. Stovetop coils are probably over a decade old- very rusty and not cleaned from previous owner. Our kitchen sink plumbng has flooded. Our AC been broken at least two times and it has taken a while for maintenance to respond. They have a serious issue with trash management, the main dumpster has been full so another dumpster bin arrived which is also full now- trash has yet to be taken out of the complex as of June 15, 2020 (picture attached).Car break-ins are not uncommon, Ive probably received 3-4 crime incident awareness emails from the office.A lot of the tenants who live in this complex are low-income and in the government-subsidized rental program, aka Bond Program - do with that information as you will.As you can see, there are a lot of shortcomings about this place. I don’t blame the apartment complex management, they’re probably doing the best they can with what they have. Ultimately, the buck stops with the owner/investor of this complex - Tribridge Residential, namely their managing partners: (Robert H. (Bobby) West, Lee Walker, Steve Broome, and Jim Schroder.
As reflected in many, many reviews ranging from a few weeks to a few YEARS ago, I can confirm that BOTH of the “security” gates are STILL broken. Honestly, what is even the point of having them there if they’re never going to be fixed? Not to mention the lack of cameras in more areas around the apartment complex/parking areas despite numerous streaks of car break-ins and car windows being smashed. There’s currently just one small section of parking lot that actually has visible cameras. Highly disappointed at the absolute disregard for the residents who pay more money than they should to make this place their home and DON’T EVEN FEEL SAFE HERE.
I lived here for over a year and love M street! The apartments are great and the leasing staff is incredible
Worst place to ever live at!! Worst management you’ve ever seen. Best of luck having any issues with your apartment and counting on them to solve anything.Horrible
Just moved in about 3 weeks ago. Tosh and Madison from the leasing office are very sweet ladies btw, but since I’ve moved in, seems like getting maintenance issues resolved are hard to come by. We are still having maintenance issues that we reported about 3 days after signing our lease. Every time I contact the leasing office I am being told that maintenance is already aware of the issues but here we are STILL without a fix! How can we get these issues resolved?
My boyfriend & I have lived here for almost 8 months now and we absolutely love it! The location is perfect with access to everything in the city. The lawn/garden maintenance is fantastic. The front office is so nice and professional. The office manager, Jerome (I hope I spelled that right!) and one of the consultants, Angel, are amazing. Definitely, ask for them if youre interested in moving here.Weve only had one minor issue here. We brought it to office managements attention and Jerome fixed it almost immediately and was so nice about it, Ill never forget it. We wont be moving anytime soon.
Just going to start with this first because it happened this morning and it really just put the icing on the cake of this apartment complex. The gates of this apartment complex have been broken since I’ve moved in. I moved in November and it’s still broken. There have been multiple car break ins since Ive lived here. Those gates are the only security of this entire apartment complex. Everything else you have access too if you just walk in. So anyone can walk into this complex. Instead of fixing the gates they booted every other car in the parking lot for not having a parking pass. So instead of fixing the gate they boot everyone’s car. That’s their solution. I walked into the office and they said they sent an email. I laughed because I just checked and they sent two emails. One back in feb and one a couple days ago. Clearly if everyone’s car is getting booted no one is reading your emails. Have a more effective way of letting your residents know that you now need a parking pass instead of not fixing the gate and booting everyone’s car. It’s PURE LAZINESS and POOR MANAGEMENT. PUT UP A SIGN OR SOMETHING. Put flyers in peoples doors. You have done it before . Don’t just send two emails and expect everyone to know. They said I have to pay the boot fee because I opened and saw the email. Which I didn’t see nor open the email. I took screenshots but I really didn’t feel like wasting my time to go back an argue because Its not even worth the $75.00 dollars going back and fourth with them. I should of read the reviews before moving in here because they are all true. Not even to mention my apartment got broken into the second day I moved in, my door was left wide open and my dog ran away. We believe she may have rushed the intruder out of the house that’s why the door was left wide open when we got home. We ended up finding her out of luck. I was told by management it’s happened before and they have found homes less people in their apartments before and when they came to fix the locks they said my locks were a little “janky”. Why would you let me move in with janky locks. Lastly these fees are crazy. I pay a $60 dollar sewage fee and my dish washer water is still coming into my sink.Positive reviews ? It’s pretty and spacious and the people living here are nice. Obviously you are just paying for location.
It is a very good place to leave. It is affordable, and the houses are very nicely designed.
DO NOT LIVE HERE, onslaught of hidden and shady fees. Charged 3x times water for sewage. Our electricity bill was 2X higher than ATL average on top of that lost two packages in the “safe” mail room which anyone has access to. They have a fancy system which Is never used. Blinds broke and fell weeks after moving in, same for the stove. Mirror is falling out of the wall and still no maintenance after contacting multiple times. Leasing office only told lies and false promises. Highly unsatisfied.
I absolutely love it here! The buildings and scene are amazing. The location is great and the staff are even better!! I had the most welcoming and all around helpful leasing agent help me. Nicole was an absolute blessing. She helped us through the paper work, updated us on the area, gave us some great places to travel to and so much more. Its only my first week here and I already cant wait to renew!
Visiting as a guest and got a boot on my car. There was no obvious signage.
Good luck getting in touch with anyone from the leasing office. Ive been trying to help a friend move, and have contacted this property numerous times over the past week. I kept being routed to some answering service that cant answer my questions, they only tell me I should speak with someone on the property. Ive left my name number and email, still nothing.
When you think of walkability, affordability, and comfortability think of M-Street. I have lived here for almost 3 years and it has been great! Like any complex in the city there has ben some living pains, but the staff has ben awesome in rectifying the issues. I would recommend M-Street if you are looking for a home.
The lack of security is laughable. Since I moved in August 2020, I have seen the gates wide open more often than not. They would be open for days in a row, and it would take them weeks to fix it just for it to malfunction and stay open again. The mailroom is always open (theres not even a door). I have had MULTIPLE PACKAGES MISSING, to the point that Amazon would not issue a refund or replacement anymore unless I file a police report. I have also heard from fellow residents that they have had multiple packages missing too. Contacting the office was completely useless. They claim to have recordings of the delivery but would not show it to you, and apparently it doesnt show more than just the delivery person leaving the package, not the whole mailroom. They need to fix the gates, install security cameras, and put a locked door in the mailroom!!Update: They are finally building a door in the mailroom. I bet its because multiple people have complained about lost packages.
One of if not the best place I ever lived. My 2 intelligent and caring leasing agents Solita and Ms. Angel made my experience and my move in process easy and effortlessly knowing that I can call on them when I have a question or concern, gave me a real piece of mind. I highly recommend this property.
****WARNING WARNING WARNING****This place is not safe theft EVERYDAY you will be fearful of your valuables and your life every night a 5 plus cars get broken into. All the rent office has to say is protect yourself. This place is no better than the bluffy dont waste your time.Rent office people are nice when you are signing the lease this is what they sent all the tenants when we had over 30 plus break ins.
I’ve been at M-Street for whewwww has it been 2 or 3yrs now. Well that should tell you a lot there! I love it and whenever I have family & friends over they fall in love with the community itself and the level of safety here is amazing. The staff all loves me being that I frequently will stop by the office to pester them for no reason just to give them all a good laugh. I was introduced to M-Street by The manager Jerome and since then I’ve been here loving every moment and Jerome checks on me whenever he can. Also Angel always had the warmest smile whenever you enter the office or shout Heyyyy Angel as she’s giving a tour. I love our staff Mallory is quick to offer a mask and sanitizer and Solita is Solita an entertaining member of the Mstreet crew as well. From the community, staff, maintenance man Ed and all I appreciate you and hope to spend many more months or years here at M-Street.Keep it upM-A.
I have lived here for 4 years and i must say this place felt like home. Never had an issue here and the leasing agents are very helpful especially Solieta Lambert she goes outta her way to meet her residents needs she is awesome!!!! Unfortunately due to covid I’m actually moving out of the complex but i will miss it. . who’s knows i May return back in the future 😀. I recommend this place to any looking for a place called home..
It is the perfect place for me an my husband an grandkids an pet friendly.love that restaurant in walk distance.
Gates never work, break ins, I’ve been without working air conditioning for 20 going on 21 days.
The staff was amazing. My family and I went to M street inquiring abouta three bedroom. Tosmirah did a great job answering all of our questions. Although they did not have exactly what we were looking for, the assistant manager Salita made sure to refer us to one of their sister properties that we have ended up leasing with.
The 2 bedroom was huge! My fiance and I think it would be a great place to start our family. Angel was our agent and she was so nice and knowledgeable about the community and the area. When you go here make sure you ask for her! As soon as the large 2 bedroom opens back up we want it. See you soon Angel!
Ok I’m going to try and keep this short and sweet but I LOVE IT here! The property is so close to different restaurants, shopping, and entertainment. Not to mention the staff is amazing and very helpful . Special thanks to Jerome and Nicole for going above and beyond to make sure I had the PERFECT new home! Oh and someone please get the maintenance supervisor a raise ASAP, he’s awesome. New year new home I’m beyond ecstatic !
I moved here in November . I love it . Maintenance comes fast almost as soon as you request them. Neighbors are nice and quiet . I even play loud music and I think I’m the loudest, but in a grown up way lol nobody complains . Very understanding ! I like it here and I’ll move in like 2 years unless I become rich ! Office always saves my packages even when there’s no apartment number on there . Good job m street I’m glad to live here .
Car break ins every single night this place is not safe. Warning it is 100$ to get a (KEY CARD) FOR THE GATE THAT IS ALWAYS (BROKEN) .Please get a 8$ an hour night security guard. M street you can afford it just continue to charge all those hidden feesit makes no sense to get 1500$ a month from everyone. And have no 8$ an hour security
I just moved in yesterday & it honestly was the most easy fast process ever, all thanks to Solita! She was amazing, professional & moved swiftly during this whole process even with not being able to go in the office because of quarantine. My unit is nice & clean as well as the complex. Thank you Solita! (Ask for her if you’re smart!)
You should DEFINITELY live here if you enjoy paying excessive fees! Keep in mind that sewer and water charges are not individualized so your water consumption has no effect on how much you get charged.
Please do not move here it theft every hour on the hour cars are constantly being broken into security gate is constantly broke II’m scared to go outside due to all the violence. When you’re in the leasing office please ask them how often does the security gate stay broken. And what is the car break in ratio
I just moved in a week ago and I haven’t heard from the leasing office since I have moved in. My apartment didn’t have hot water or AC. It as is there was no “walk-through” of the apartment before it was leased. Currently, I have a few other minor but needed maintenance issues. I’ve been trying to reach the property manager and my leasing agent but I have yet to hear back from either of them. I am only giving this place 3 stars because I love my view and my proximity to the city.
My girlfriend and I have been looking to move into this place for quite some time. We haven’t officially got our place yet but Nichole has been by far the absolute best help. Ask for her next time you’re in the leasing office!
Outstanding service. The entire staff was both welcoming and helpful. Jerome and Nicole were attentive and adamant about ensuring that all my needs were met. They got me moved with in timely manner, much sooner than I anticipated im so appreciative that the staff made this a wonderful experience for me. M street Apartments are the best!
Pros:- Close to GT campus.- Affordable compared to the ones around.- Spacious rooms with a built-in table in the bedroom.Cons:- Unsafe. The main gate is broken most of the times.- Loud train noise.- Not so friendly management staff.- Rats and insects (a problem with units on ground floor).- Have to walk all the way to Trash disposal to dispose garbage.
A pretty decent apartment. It is especially popular as a close to the campus living for Georgia Tech students. The rent is reasonable and the management staff are quite friendly. They are also very quick to respond to any maintenance requests made through their online portal which makes life much easier. Great location with lots of shops along the main street. Has a gym and swimming pool.
Ive lived at M Street for almost 5 months now and have generally enjoyed the experience. Maintenance typically does a good job at fixing issues quickly, and the new package system they put in place is really convenient. Also, the complex is within walking distance of multiple good restaurants and bars.
The staff in the leasing off are really sweet people and professional. I felt right at home. Thank you Nicole and Jerome for your patience with the process! I love my apartment!
Do not feel safe here. Management does not actively try and make residents feel safe. It takes forever for them to try and respond to any issues involving the apartment. There even was a string of car break ins recently and nothing was done about this.
The only thing good about this complex is the price, and my experience here taught me to never pick a place just based on price. Horrible experience with the management staff (except Angel, shes great) countless times. They never answer calls; dont even bother calling the number on their site. They are extremely reckless with packages. The staff lack customer service skills and distance themselves from any complaints you make. Maintenance takes too long, the trains that pass are very noisy, and every now and then, theres burglary issues... its just not worth it. Dont live here !!!! Youll regret it.
I have been living here for 3 years and Absolutely love the apartments and the staff. Marcus and Angel always take good care of me at the front office and fast with great customer service. Make sure you ask for them. :)
Office tows tenants cars based off of cosmetic appearances and without warning
I have been living here for 3 months now. 2 break-ins happened within these 3 months. Management did not even inform us about the break-ins. They haven’t done anything about the security and when questioned about it, they have always been rude. Worst management ever. Most unsafe community. Gates are always broken. Would not recommend.
I lived at M Street for three years. The management staff is super friendly and personable. The maintenance staff is the best! Any maintenance concerns I had were minor and to be expected over the course of three years and were handled quickly and without inconvenience. The maintenance staff even helped when they saw me having car trouble one day, which was totally not their concern. The loctation is convenient and quiet. The amenities clean and well maintained. I had a great experience during my time living here.
I am a current resident of M street apartment. Terrible place to live in terms of safety. Very frequent break-ins and in fact in one situation an armed person broke patio glass door and entered while the residents were still in! Clearly, neither your possessions nor you are safe here. Worse is the attitude of the management. Extremely callous with no regard for your safety. The security gate is broken 75% of the times, so please do not advertise as a gated community. No measures whatsoever have been taken to address this issue. And for some reason the manager who has any kind of decision making capacity is never in the leasing office. Feel extremely unsafe living here. Wish I could give them negative stars. Horrible experience!
BE AWARE!!!!! Went to M-Street Apartment to inquire about units. While there I was told they wasnt giving tours because there was only one person in the office and the another person would be back in a few mins and i should come back in a few minutes. I notice the M-Street corner store attached to the property. I went in the store to waste time after several minutes i went back to the leasing office and set up a tour for another day. As soon as i left the office the guy locked the door then i notice i had a boot on my car while parked in the future residents spot. As i waited over a hour in the cold for the office to reopen the crown grow larger with people who came to look at the apartments including a father and daughter looking for her first apartment. Once the office reopen the staff was rude and unprofessional and just didnt care about what happen. We all had to pay $75. If they treat their Future Residents like this i can only imagine how you will be treated once you sign a lease. BE AWARE!!!!!
M Street Apartments seems to never answer their phone, as I have tried several atempts to reach out to them to inquire about the complex. After reading many current reviews, most of which is negative, Im glad no one answered the phone. Thanks to all who write reviews, it helps people like myself make wise decisions on where to move. It seems thatthe corporate office needs to be involved more, since the Management at this complex is no help.
I moved here from Los Angeles, so my standards were very high. When I came to view the apartments it was such a pleasant experience; the representative that gave me a tour of the complex took the time to listen and understand my needs, which I have a lot of, and presented me with the perfect place to live. The staff here are the best and I say that with no exaggeration. Anytime I go to the office they fix my problems within minutes - from where are good eateries to the dryer stole my quarters. They go above and beyond by treating you as an individual and not your apartment number! The grounds are well kept! I have a little pooch and hes a hot mess but loves being outside. The grounds are so big and beautiful that we dont ever need to go walk on the street. We basically have our own personal park and he loves every minute of it - from the tall grass tickling his bum to rolling around with his ball in the short grass. In addition, a dog park is being added as we speak so hell be over the moon.Safety was something that I was really worried about because I have a horrible habit of leaving my door unlocked or open (Im working on it) and I feel beyond safe! Moreover, I get along with all my neighbor so that helps keep the environment comfortable. Everyone here minds their own business, but if you ask them for help they are always there in a matter of seconds.Honestly, I can go on and on about the phenomenal things because there are no cons living here what so ever. Take it from a high maintenance young professional, living here is worth all of your pennies and the best part is that the cost is reasonable.
Ive lived at M st for years and there is no other place Id rather be. Steve the leasing Mgr is very attentive. Whatever issues I have he jumps right on it. The staff is great and friendly as well.
I have left voice mails and messages with staff for management to resolve an issue that took place in April. Can’t get management go give me a call back. Not sure what the problem is, but if someone is trying to reach you for over 2 months you should give them a call back.
Gate was broken most to of the time I was here.
I am leaving a review after living here since May 2016. I really enjoy the layout of my apartment and how helpful the front office staff and manager are. When I first moved in, I had a few cosmetic things that needed to be altered. They completed everything and ensured that I was good. The neighborhood is full of cool restaurants (like Bar Taco and Cooks & Soldiers) and has an up & coming vibe that everyone loves. I do faintly hear the trains sometimes, but cities are noisy & at least I never hear my neighbors. Most people here are working professionals and students. I have never seen violence or kids running around unattended. I would recommend M Street as a great place to live due to location, service, layouts, & lots of free parking spaces.
Good management, good maintenance, best prices for west midtown, but they REALLY need some elevators
Decently priced off campus for Georgia Tech students. It is located in West Midtown so theres plenty of restaurants nearby. Apartments are spacious. Theres a gym too and a pool. Free parking is a perk! The trash disposal is quite a walk depending on which building you live in. Management isnt very friendly but they get the job done. Front door is broken most of the time.
Been here for a year and I just renewed for another. I am pretty satisfied overall. Staff is great and my maintenance request are always taken care of. Not moving till its time to buy : )
If you like living in the hood for 10x the price this is your place. There is no security- my belongings have been stolen. Management didnt seem to care. Also no one is informed of how bad the security situation is. There are no emails but you constantly hear from other residents about break ins. Do not live here. Also right next to the train tracks, which are loud.
Nice clean units. Great staff. Very helpful.
I have been at M street for 3 years and i must be honest since this community has been under new management I have been a happy renter here at M street.Alejandro is one of the best apartment manager in the community that honestly believe in making sure all his residence are happy and safe. The entire new staff is helpful and also give great service when im in the office. I appreciate my time spent at M street.
I love living at M st Apartments and I have lived here since 2010. The leasing Mgrs, Alejandro and Steve, are the best when it comes to taking care of my apartment needs, they follow up to ensure the job is done right. The staff is friendly as well.
I love my place at Mstreet. Its very close to school, the location is amazing. Everything that I need is within walking distance. The best part is the staff, Alejandro the manager is really good, he gets everything done quickly. The pool and the fitness center are pretty good too.
I have been working with M-Street for almost a month now in order for my Move-In to be as smooth as possible. The Staff have all been friendly from my leasing agent Audryanna Powell, to her partner Angel they have been heaven sent and just full of so much knowledge about the property and the Area. I am of Royal descent so they have helped make everything such an easy transition. The managers Jerome B and Nicole I believe was her name were amazing also for as they provided additional information to help me understand the history of the property and how prominent it is in that area. I appreciate you all for just making me feel like I am part of the M-Street family and looks forward to my Luxury apartment move-in. I forgot to mention the CITY SKYLINE VIEW is impeccable that is what really sealed the deal. I also have popped up on the property on many occasions just to get a feel for it and I love the fact that it was securely GATED and I had to literally get access to get on the property. I saw nothing out of order, I saw a lot of people on the courtyard laughing and kids playing which was very welcoming. I am anxious to take a dip in that huge pool and get my workout in once I move in. The community and staff are both amazing! Oh I forgot to mention the Floorplans are amazing for the price!
I recently moved into M Street apartments. I am unsatisfied with the security features of the community. The management claims that its a gated community, but the gate locks often dont work. Also, the management does not take any effort to improve the situation. It does not seem to care about feedback from residents.
In the past couple of months there have been 3 break ins. It feels really unsafe to live here. We have spoken to the management regarding this a couple of time but no adequate measures have been taken. A lot of times the main community gate remains unlocked.A gate needs to be installed under every building to make it safer but instead the money is being invested in repainting the exterior facade of the building. That’s really unnecessary. If you want to attract new residents resolve the safety issue first.Recently we got an email saying security guards will patrol in the evening time to improve the safety; but that’s not the correct approach because the breaking happen at night!
When we moved out I was told I couldnt pay my utility bill since it wouldnt be ready until the end of the month. I was deeply concerned with this since I would not come back to the U.S. so any communication with them could be problematic. For the next two months Ive been sending them e-mails requesting information on the utility bill but received no response (I couldnt call them due to time zone difference). However there was never a reply. I eventually gave up but today I received a phone call from my ex-roommate telling me he has been harassed by a law firm demanding $1500 (750 each) in settling fee because he and I didnt pay the utility bill. I had no choice since it would be much more expensive to settle this at the court. They originally demanded an extra $800 as move-out fees. But the law firm said theyve made a little compromise and we dont have to pay for that. This is an utter scam. Theyve made this situation where we couldnt pay the bill so they could demand extra penalty from us. Dont waste your time with this place, the trains are too loud anyway.
This is where you want to if you are looking for a safe, clean and quiet place. I have been here for three years and never had a problem with getting anyting fixed or replaced. THEY DO A FINE GOOD AROUND HERE. I LOVE LIVING HERE!!!!!!!!
Edit: My experience with management continued to be bad even after moving out. I would advise potential (and current) residents to be very careful and know your legal rights as a tenant, especially in regards to move-out fees and getting your security deposit back.I lived here for nearly 2 years and my overall experience was decent. The apartments themselves are very nice and spacious. Never had any serious maintenance issues or bug problems. The rent was reasonable for the area and the fees for pets were the lowest among similar complexes in the area. However, my experience with the management was subpar. Everything was super slow. I began the process of starting a lease in late May and nothing was finalized until the day I got my keys in late July. I had to repeatedly bug the management to process my application, send me my lease to sign, and tell me how much my deposit was. I changed roommates 2 times during my lease and each time it took forever for them to process the applications and amend the lease. Both times, my new roommates had already been living the apartment for a couple weeks before the lease was amended despite starting this process months in advance. Management takes a very long time, if ever, to respond to emails and it is very difficult to get someone on the phone. Management also failed to resolve my issue with maintenance constantly setting off my alarm for the entire time I lived there. I was assured several times in person and on the phone that my alarm code was on file and that maintenance knew how to operate the alarm system. However, they set off the alarm every single time they entered my apartment even when I put a note on maintenance requests that the apartment had an active alarm system. The complex was also not very secure. The pedestrian gate was often broken so anyone could come in. There were several break ins during my time there and people attempted to enter my apartment several times by trying the door while I was home. The gate seems to have gotten a more permanent fix recently but its hard to know how long that will last. I also had both of the wheels stolen off of my bike while it was locked up to a bike rack for no more than 36 hours in a very visible part of the complex. I then had my new bike, which was secured with a u lock, stolen altogether just days before moving out.Overall, I would recommend this complex, but be prepared to deal with very slow, somewhat uncaring management as well as some safety concerns.
This place is only getting better. With Steve around everything goes smoothly, and I think this place is somewhere every Georgia Tech/Georgia State student should consider if they are looking for a place in midtown.
My sister and I came to clean an apartment off of the Handy app. The client did not give us great entry instructions or an apartment number so we decided to go to the office to ask for help. The office door was locked and the agent came to the door, popped his head out and began insulting us. At first it was funny, then he told us we didnt deserve his AC and closed and locked the door back. Weve never experienced a front desk concierge or leasing agent being so rude to us as Handy Pros. He shouldnt be able to address people that way. If we were potential residents, we would have definitely turned away.
Man the power of a review is real! I from NY looking into some places and after reading many different residents/prior have same problem in the reviews, my question to the management team is what actually has been done? What does the hard work include to keep your residents safe? I understand crime has no address but instead of coming up with clever and professional ways to handle the heat, tell these rightfully concerned for their lives people what PHYSICAL security measures taken after these robberies. These responses do nothing for potential residents like myself to let me know that you are all on top of this other than letting me know when real life/death goes down. Yea crime has no address but M street does, do please tend to these matters, Im disappointed, this was really on the top of my list, I love the area but after these responses not so much the reviews I can tell its a save face kind of deal. I need to know things are being done not just said.
The worst apartment ever. People in the office are rude and unprofessional. They would tell you that they dont have your package and two month later when you check your packages with them you have this thing that was delivered two months ago. Everything they say about referring a friend is a complete lie. They will make sure you dont get the money. Theres only one trash disposer by the way. If you live on the other side, you have a nice workout carrying the bags there, unless of course you drive. When you move out they would tell you that they did not receive the move out reminder you sent them two months ago and you either stay there for another couple of months or you pay the rent and leave. The water and utility bills are suspiciously high. I would avoid living there at all costs.
Honestly, the place isnt too bad. To get the bad out of the way first: gate is usually broken, and when its fixed theres a long line of people who dont have their card and have to key in. One dumpster, trains are loud (I dont mind, but most will), AC stinks, decor is dull, and a lot of sketchy people. However, the management is actually decent, parkings great, pool is nice (especially if you live next to it), easy to get to, and a short walk to Tech. Walked to class every day for a year, and never had a problem. Maintenance is pretty quick, Ive called exterminator for bees outside, for a leak in the roof (when it rains hard), and for the dishwasher, and all were fixed within a few days.
I have been in Atlanta about a year now. I moved into Mstreet 5 months ago and it has been an absolutely terrible experience since then.To begin with, there has been 2 break-ins in the past 2 months, one of which was an armed robbery. The management boldly made a statement that they are not responsible for any theft and as adults, we are responsible for our belongings. Let me back up and mention here that we have been complaining about broken gates ever since I moved in here(5 months).Apart from this issue, management is also not very receptive about our other concerns and there is a roach infestation that has been a hassle ever since Ive been here.P.S. - I was reading some comments from before and to @Sarahs complain about burglary, the management claims that we do a pretty good job in terms of security. Clearly it doesnt seem so.
First of all, the trains are loud, but I’ll give a pass for that because it obviously can’t be helped. However, this complex is extremely unsafe. Although it’s advertized as gated and the gates are certainly there, they’re almost never closed. In the year that I’ve lived here the gates have definitely been open more than closed. Additionally, there have been multiple break ins, many of which residents weren’t informed about, and an assault. At this point, after many, many issues with crime (seriously, I’ve seen the cops taking statements here way too often) they’ve finally increased security, but they’re still not here at night (and they park in the worst places; it’s going to cause a wreck). On top of all of that, maintenance is incredibly slow, even when it’s an emergency. They charge pest control every month, but they only come if you pester the office about it repeatedly, and I still have bugs even though I live on the third floor. Additionally, they’ve messed up my rent at least twice. The most recent time, the overcharged most, if not all, tenants, and failed to notify anyone so we had to take it upon ourselves to inform each other. This, in particular, was infuriating because it seems like it was done on purpose. This is not a luxury apartment complex by any means and there are many, many issues, but the rents they charge are comparable to some of the luxury apartments in the area. This complex is not safe or clean and the management is impressively unresponsive in regards to any tenant concerns. I would not recommend living here when there are much better options close by for similar prices.
Absolutely the worst place I have ever lived in the 12 years I’ve lived in Atlanta. I was at Mstreet from ‘15-‘16. Shortly after moving in my apartment was broken into and over $20k in personal items stolen from my apartment. The doors are easily manipulated (the cops were aware, so I’m sure management was aware) and bam! Talk about traumatic and not feeling comfortable where you live. On top of that, the entire complex was so dirty. When I say dirty I mean entire pizzas left on hallway floors rotting and attracting bugs for WEEKS. Also, the neighbors on our bottom floor were constantly having the cops called on them and I witnessed men punching and dragging women in the parking lot beside this apartment. The gates never work (and obviously aren’t much of a security measure). When I asked to move out a month early from my 18 mo lease, I was met with no empathy (even though I was told their was a wait list for my sized unit) and was forced to pay-out rent.
I loved living at Mstreet while attending Georgia Tech for all 4 years. The past year has been the best with the new manager, Alejandro. Although there were some previous issues with poor communication and lack of care for residents by management and leasing reps, the new management is so attentive, I am sad to be leaving for work relocation. I loved walking my dog on the community sidewalks and grassy areas - it was like being in a park in the middle of the city. The maintenance staff was always prompt and courteous, for example Birgitta would give me updates on a request if she saw me walking around. This complex definitely has more pros than cons at the moment, with the new management and the slew of new restaurants across the street, making for a safer and more friendly west midtown neighborhood.
I came to Atlanta in 2015 and have been in Mstreet apartments only this year, since April. I had never lost my peace of mind until Mstreet taught me how to do so. Three break ins in one month including an armed robbery have taken place since June and the management has given a lukewarm response at best. No swift measures, no fixing the gate locks and actually being accountable for the security lapse - oh, forget about that! It upsets me to an extent that I now leave my valuables in office so that I dont have to worry about losing them but am I safe - only the Mstreet management can answer that but they are too busy being rude.
My worst apartment experience ever. Ive lived in Atlanta for eight years but have never encountered the rudeness and incompetence as I have at M Street. Im an extremely patient man but when I have to sit in the leasing office and wait 20 minutes for a package every time, I question their common decency. When I receive a trash violation on my door that has a picture attached of another apartment thats not mine, I question their competence. If you ever call them as a resident they will not answer, you have to pose as someone interested in renting an apartment. THE WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE. I had to get a lawyer involved at the end. So much unnecessary stress. I plan on protesting their awfulness outside the leasing office one day. They will violate your rights here at M Street.
Very unsafe place to live in. Ive lived in mstreet apartments for over 6 months and have lived in the west midtown area for more than 2 years. Compared to the other apartments in the area this has been my worst experience in terms of safety and poor property management. It started off when we moved into the apartment when we were asked to pay our application fee two times because the portal did not register our payment and even after explaining in person multiple times the management took over a month to respond. The package delivery system is also very mismanaged and Ive had to report lost packages to amazon multiple times while it was present in the leasing office and the management failed to locate it and file it. But the cherry on top was really the multiple break ins, during one break in a shooter was around in the apartment complex and had entered because the gate was open (the gate locks werent working for over a week). The managements attitude towards fixing the lock was just brushing it off and asking us to not let people tail gate in instead of dealing with the issue. The gate lock was fixed after repeated complaints but has been breaking down frequently since then. Recently (
My one year at M Street has been a great experience.Im originally not from Atlanta, so a concern I had while deciding whether to live here or not, was security and safety. I, nor my roommates, have experienced any threats to the security of our apartment nor our vehicles.Apart from being a visually appealing place to live and being surrounded by several restaurants (all within walking distance of M Street), the friendliness and affability of the leasing office staff is what truly stands out to me. Despite the large number of residents here, they still make the time to engage in friendly conversation with my apartment and even remember our names. If youre a GT student:Its about a 3 min. walk from the CRC. Ive come home countless times at 3am and, miraculously, havent encountered any shady people or sketchy situations. The lighting is good at night. Also we have no issues with insects.
