My boyfriend and I love this complex! The staff is always friendly and helpful. We love the amenities and the spaces are always well kept. Very dog friendly as well, we love the dog grooming room.
I have been living here for 5 months now and so far so good! Like any apartment living situation there are some issues but overall the management company is very helpful and responsive. The maintenance team has been the best I have dealt with out of my previous apartment stays. The other day I put in a request on a Sunday and the next day I get a call from them that they would come and they fixed my problem within 24 hours. In terms of sound, my last apartment, you could hear the neighbors every move but thankfully, even when you hear noise in the hall, once I go into my apartment, I hear nothing! Yes there are outside noises in the neighborhood but maybe I am used to it because it doesn’t seem that bad. The amenities are very nice and a great walkable area! Also the free Starbucks brewed coffee at any time helps too!
I’ve been living here for two months and have had a wonderful experience! Nicole was really helpful with the move in process and made sure I was situated. Everyone in the leasing office is always so friendly and kind - especially Danielle, who always goes above and beyond! The amenities are really nice (pool, gym, computer room, etc.) and it’s in a great walking neighborhood.
I have been here for almost a month now, and I just cannot say enough positive things. Danyelle was my leasing agent, and made the process so smooth and easy, and Nicole (her associate at the office) is wonderful as well. The place itself is beautiful, the amenities are fantastic (I love the gym!) and parking is so safe and secure (and not at all overcrowded). I really feel at home here, in what is arguably one of the best locations in all of in ATL.[I also want to comment on the one review about how noisy the building across the way is. While I understand that residents complaint (my unit faces the same direction and is up a few levels as well), its not THAT bad. I open my door regularly, and within minutes I get used to the noise. If no one told you about it, Im not sure youd even notice it. When the doors and windows are shut, you have to really try to hear it, and not one conference call has picked it up in my background so far. I have pretty much forgotten about it, just 3+ weeks in.]All in all, this place is pretty perfect. Youre always going to find a few things that you wish you could fix while renting, but thats part of the deal until you build your own dream home. The noises from the street and surrounding buildings are those of the city and to be expected (and thats coming from someone who is HIGHLY sensitive to and irritated by noise, ha!).I am so glad that after a long search and a lot of overthinking, I landed at Lumen. 5 stars, easy.
UPDATE!!!!!Lumen continues to perform! Lumen for the win! I knew it. They never once made me feel as though my concerns weren’t valid. They listened, showed empathy and then performed. They went out of their way to help me with the noise including contacting the plaza across the street. They gave me a chance to try several things until we found the one that works best. Now.... I have no intention of leaving here. I still enjoy all of the wonderful things about this building and I’m finding peace in my home again. Thank you Lumen!I really wanted to write the best review ever about my apartment here at Lumen. However, I wish someone would have written a candid and honest review like this so that I could have made a more informed decision.I want to start with saying that the staff and the property itself is WONDERFUL. I love all of the amenities, I think the staff is really nice and enjoy seeing them around and I do like my apartment and I love the convenience of its location in the building very, very much.I have not yet ONCE had a quiet nights sleep because of the Incredible Nuisance of ONE piece of equipment on top of the garage across the street. It sounds like a ***truck stop 24/7 *** outside your window. I drove past this side of the building several times before I moved in ( as I wasn’t able to see the unit itself prior to move in because I was informed it was occupied ). I heard the sound, didn’t think much of it, until move in day and this humming, vibrating sound moves through my entire apartment 24/7.Sound travels UPWARD! It seems like something you can get used to, but why should you pay thousands of dollars every month to pay rent, but have to walk around your place with headsets/music/TV/earplugs on? Especially with super quiet neighbors in the cemetery.I have spoken to other residents who said they are bothered by the problem noise, but they haven’t complained because they feel that they can’t do anything about it and the leases have been signed. I suspect the person that lived in my super cute unit moved out after 3 months, not to take a new job in another state, but to get out of this lease.I have purchased 4 sets of sound curtains and two sets of special Blackout curtain rods, hundreds of dollars of Lexan Polycarbonate sheet glass, and most recently, foam sound cubes. NOTHING WORKS! I even bought sound machines to drown out the noise. Horrible that we have to deal with this and no one has to stay here but the residents at Lumen when every other employee or business tenant across the street gets to go home.I can’t film or record for work in my apartment because the humming is so bad. (PLEASE KEEP THAT IN MIND IF YOU ARE A CONTENT CREATOR!!! Your income can be adversely affected if you like to film or record at home.) I don’t mind being above dumpsters or hearing trucks moving in here and there or the sound of the train or cars or ambulances. That’s city living and it’s not 24/7 either. It’s The Larkin’s constant noise that makes you feel like you are throwing thousands of dollars away by living here. They can’t close off the already closed garage and turn off the machine from 11pm-5 am? We can’t get any relief from this? They have claimed that they will come up with a solution and some type of sound barrier because it also makes vibration in the units it is closer to. But when? Next year? In 6 months? Luckily, the business tenants in that plaza (and what a GREAT plaza it is) get to go home at night.I did speak with management almost a month ago and was told that the sound was unacceptable and they would get back to me.I hope that this helps someone choose the best location in this super nice building so they can enjoy coming home and being in their own apt. I hope that the people that I have spoken to, follow through so I can delete this review and leave the wonderful one that Lumen deserves.
On the whole great apartment. The windows are not so good, can easily hear everything outside. The lack of proper blinds in the bedrooms mean it’s bright. Had a couple of problems with the new appliances. But layout etc is nice and enjoying the location so far.
Love love love this property ! The staff is amazing and always willing to help ! Maintenance is on point ! I am a dog owner, and the property is super pet friendly and super clean ! The location is Impeccable and I love the peopleWho live around me . GG and I def give Lumen Grant Park 2 thumbs and paws up ! Thanks for a great living experience !
Incredible location and an outstanding leasing team, we felt right at home in our new place. Everything in this area is right at our fingertips and the beltline is only a few minutes away on bike. Highly recommend these apartments
So far, so good! I am genuinely really happy here.
Great leasing team and the move in process was a breeze. They have been extremely responsive to any requests or questions we have had.
