Ive both bought and had servicing done by The Watchmakers Shop and always been happy with their service. If I could give the Watchmaker’s Shop more than 5 stars, I would! The level of professionalism and expertise is unmatched by ANY watch dealer I have been to (and I am a watch enthusiast). Additionally, it seems all the other jewelers and watch dealers in region know of Justin and his team and speak of them in high regards (which says a lot).I own precious pieces that include Rolex, Tudor, and a vintage Omega. I spoke to Justin and Ryan several times about servicing the Omega (1957 Seamaster) and I had concerns. This particular watch has a beautiful patina that I did not want disturbed, additionally, I didn’t know if they could find original Omega parts for it, specifically for this model given the age. Justin had to do a lot of work, but they found everything, and I decided to have the watch serviced. WOW!! They did not disappoint – the watch runs and looks amazing!! The attention to detail surpassed my expectations (and I am super-picky about my watches).I now live in Chicago, but based on the level of professionalism I received, anytime I ever need a watch serviced, I will send them ONLY to Justin and his crew at The Watchmaker’s Shop.Check out the before & after pictures (before service with brown strap & after service with black strap).

I had an appointment and circled the block several times and could not find parking. I called to cancel and he offered to come outside to meet me, he came outside and met me on the street so I could leave a couple watches for repair. Now that’s what I call customer service!!! Highly recommend!!!!!

I actually wouldnt be surprised to learn this place was a front for some illegal business. I have now been in 2 times and each time for a relatively easy repairs (replace a crystal face) and the other time to reattach a band to the body of the watch. In both cases they indicated they could not fix that and on one occasion laughed and joked I should head to the mall on the second occasion. This place is absolutely terrible and at least the kids at the mall can fix my watch. Steer clear of this incompetence and rude service.

Most knowledgeable, caring, great at providing recommendations for an alternative watch band to what my original band was, and a great selection to choose from. I highly recommend Sergio and the staff at Watchmakers Shop.

Fantastic watch store. The staff is CRAZY knowledgeable when it comes to horology. And they are not your typical “you need a Rolex” type shop. They fix basically anything and surprisingly offer a great selection of watch straps, which I purchased and now love!! It’s great to see locally owned shops like this with passionate people behind the counter. Could talk watches with them for hours! I wish we had a shop like this back home! They have great watches at great prices!

Ive been looking for a LOCAL watch-maker to service my collection. Came all the way from Hickory to meet and talk with them. Walked in with an antique Waltham pocket watch. I was promptly told that they do not work on pocket watches, only newer high end watches watches such as Rolex. All I could do was express my disappointment and walk away.Probably saved a LOT of moneyI wonder if a three piece suit would have made a difference over the Tee-shirt and jeans I was wearing.Less then useless

Ive taken my Kate Spade watch here multiple times for some TLC, new bands, and battery replacement and wouldnt think of going anywhere else. My wife and I went into the store to get a battery replaced on a watch. They had a sliding scale depending on the brand. They wanted $45 for a Michelle watch. Sorry but thats absolutely ridiculous as last week another store did a different Michelle watch for $11. Would have loved to give them business and support local, but thats actually a rip off since these batteries cost a few bucks at most.

There is no better place to get a professional experience in Asheville. The team of professionals offer decades of experience and knowledge, and they made a point of honest and fair transactions. I had a special heirloom watch that needed a repair. They were very helpful and efficient, they fixed my watch. I dropped it off and picked it up a week later. I was concerned that it would cost a lot of money but they were very reasonably priced. I will definitely visit them again!

Justin and his team have been servicing many of my watches that were handed down from generations past. They do an incredible job - fast, very affordable and incredibly knowledgeable. This is old fashion watchmaker service in the 21st century. Hard to find this kind of watch service today and I hope they dont go away anytime soon.

A few things I’m disappointed about, lost band, gave me $20 replacement, didn’t work on price at all when paying cash, polished my watch when asked not to, was told I’d be given a paper with serial number and model on the service paper, got nothing but receipt.Update: found band, fixing papers and shipping them to me, no fix for polished watch but what’s done is done, make sure to reiterate not to polish your watch if maintaining originality of your watch is important to you. Update 2, told me watch was water resistant and passed test... until I received service paper in mail that says “do not get wet” and told them to check the fit of the movement inside the case because I heard a clicking every time I moved my wrist, did not fix. Do not know why they did not do anything I asked them to do besides actually servicing watch.should have been offered partial refund considering I paid them $550 to take my watch apart, clean in and put it back together and they made it lose value.FINAL UPDATE: kicking up to 2 stars for the customer service. I received refund. I appreciate you trying your best to fix the issues and wish you guys the best.

First time visit. Manger/ owner was able to replace battery on one watch, take off link from other and gave me a quote on cleaning for my Rolex all in about 30-40 min while I did a little shopping at the grove arcade. I could not Hope for a better watch shop in town. Price was great! Will return and tell my friends as well.

Was out and about and exploring Asheville and I came across the Watchmaker’s Shop. It’s a bit small but they offer a decent collection of watches. Their main business obviously comes through watch repair. I had a lot of fun talking with one of the store associates, I think his name was Ryan. He seemed to be very knowledgeable about his trade. He helped me try on a couple watches and eventually led me to the one I bought. The best part was hearing him tell the story behind each of the used watches, where they came from, their background, and the like. Definitely worth a visit just to chat.

I dropped off my watch off in February and now its September. I was so slack about coming back to get it. And they were very nice about it! They also replaced a pin in my sons watch for free. And the man working at the shop was really nice about talking to my son about the Rolexes he has on hand.

Went in to get a battery replaced. Had checked other reviews that said they would do it on the spot. The person behind the counter said I would have to leave it and come back tomorrow without even looking at it. He had been talking with another customer about selling a watch and he was willing to give that person the time of day.

Incredible service came in with a simple repair and he fixed it while I waited. Highly recommend him for any watch needs service is hard to find these days and he exemplifies customer service and expertize.
