I went on a Sunday late afternoon (3 days before writing this post) and was welcomed inside and greeted by, who I assume is the owner, and one technician. This was my first visit at the salon. I asked for a SNS dip on natural nails as well as removal of previous dip on natural nails. We started right away, I arrived 15mins before my appointment time (no wait), but I was there for 2hrs. Any other salon I’m there for at most 90mins. No pedicure just manicure service. Not only did it take a long time it seemed the technician may not have been the best at dipping as my nail color is different shades of blue possibly from her technique as well as buffering my nails in between dipping sets (something no one else has done before). When I left (as you can’t notice the finished product until final coat) it looked as if I painted my own nails. It’s not even, you can see the beginning and end of brush lines and paint job; overall just not the best manicure I’ve received before. Shape was fine, I did get nixed a couple of times as well but I survived. The staff was friendly and the place was very clean and modern but I was not pleased with my set. They didn’t charge me for the removal because I was there so long and I didn’t complain about the job because I was just ready to go. Not sure if I’ll come back and just ask for a different technician or try another salon.Update: Yall this has never happened. 2 weeks later and my set has cracks through out. Like all through the polish. So I’m not sure what was used but I won’t be returning. I can keep a set for 3 weeks holding out to get them redone and they have never cracked. I’m a therapist I don’t use my hands for work either.

My first time trying this place. My usual nail shop was too crowded. I called and asked if they took walk-ins and the guy who I assume was the owner told me yes. They took me right away! The shop is super clean. The owner is extremely friendly and checked on me several times while being served. My pedicure was good. I didn’t get her name. She did a good job but seemed annoyed for some reason.Kim did my gel fill in and she’s the best very friendly, she took her time and my nails turned out beautiful. Ms. Kim has made me a new customer because I’ll be going back just so she can continue to do my nails. If you’re looking for a clean friendly nail salon that does a good job try them out.

Standard experience. The technician was detailed in the nail and cuticle shaping, that was great. Like most salon experiences, they stopped my drying time before the polish was set and my nails are disturbed less than 15min after I left (all I did was walk home). So a standard experience.

The lady was lovely and she was so sweet. She was very careful. The nails looks so pretty, I’m obsessed!

Don’t depend on appointments.I was excited for my appointment at PureLuxe but when I arrived (5 minutes early) for my appointment I was told they couldn’t take me until 45 minutes after my appointment. If I had walked in, I could understand the wait but that was the entire reason I booked through their website. It seems like they took two walk-ins without taking my appointment into consideration. Disappointing, I don’t think I’ll risk going back knowing appointments don’t seem to be honored and I don’t normally have time to wait 45 minutes just to get started.

My first time here I had a great experience I will return. Everyone was very polite and kind my technician did a awesome job on my feet and nail. Thank you for a great experience.

I had the worst pedicure experience of my life here. My friend and I walked in and nobody spoke a word or came to help us immediately. We stood there for a few minutes before anyone came to help us. We werent offered a menu or price sheet until the very end. I had the older woman there do my pedicure and she didnt do good at all. I paid $32 for something I couldve done better myself at home. It felt like she was just tapping me with the cuticle clippers and the nail file and not actually doing anything. As I watched her do it, she didnt remove much of anything that was on my feet. Meanwhile, the younger woman that my friend had was getting all into her toes the way I wanted so I asked that when the other woman was done that she come do mine. The older woman said she would try again on my toes and did the same thing. The younger woman never came to fix it. The man who was taking the payments that day came over multiple times to see what was going on. It wasnt relaxing at all and I felt like I was being pestered. The pedicure took a long time to finish for them to not even be doing anything to my feet and at the end of it all when it was time to pay. The same man was pushy about the payments. I paid through cash app and he said at least 3 or 4 times he was pulling up the cash app for me after I told him 3 times already that I had it. He kept saying $32 over and over after I already told him I had sent the payment. I showed him where it said I had sent the cash app payment on my phone so I could just get out of there. I was very upset about wasting my money and just wanted to go. He blocked the walk way and kept trying to stop us from leaving until he got the notification on his phone after I showed him it was sent on my phone. I hope this review is found helpful to others. Please dont waste your money and time.

I have been going there for years now, Ben is such a magician when it comes to nails ! Never going anywhere else. He always does such an amazing job that it never chips and looks good for weeks. Place is super clean, comfortable, very relaxing atmosphere and staffs are really polite and professional. Highly recommend this place!

I went there for full acrylic set, had a picture with me what nail style I wanted.I can’t even compare of what I got, it’s ugly short super pointy nails with sloppy nail polish .I came back next day and nicely asked if they can fix shape or at least nail polish, but they refused.I am still so upset about my nails, it’s so ugly and look so unprofessional done.I won’t come back there. Such a waste of money.By Doing business like this - soon they loose all they clients .

After a long work week I come to PureLuxe for the first time and had the best manicure and pedicure experience EVER! Greeted promptly by the staff and shown to my nail techs station. Angelina was her name and she was extremely proffesional and friendly. We chatted the entire time and I was served a hot green tea and it was perfect for the chilly weather. I recieved a full set and pedicure that evening. After finishing my full set to PERFECTION I went to the pedicure area where I was pampered further. I wish Id gotten the techs name but she was delightful as well and the service was amazing she gave an incredible foot massage and maintenance. This salon surpassed all my expectations down to the tools being freshly sterilized, clean and neat polish station. Id recommend Pureluxe to anyone looking for a stellar spa day !!! They have gained a loyal customer 😍😍

Walked in today after making an appointment online last night. The man looked annoyed that I was there, he went to call someone to do my nails and booked a 3D sculpted set because I can’t use tips, the woman refused. I asked for dark brown, they said “sorry, we don’t have.” I guess this salon is hit or miss. 1/10 Terrible customer serviceWith all due respect to the owners response, the camera is not gonna show the interaction I had with your employees. I felt unwelcome by your staff and I felt they were reluctant to help me. I am not one to leave bad reviews.I was the only person in your shop that morning, I would have loved to support your small business.I was really disappointed in the customer service and how unattentive your staff was. I did not arrive to my appointment at 10:25.I did not have a problem washing my hands, I signed the contract and washed my hands. I work in healthcare, I would not refuse compliance.I am shocked that you are refuting parts of an interaction that are not what disappointed me about your salon. I feel that you are telling me I am wrong for expressing the way I was treated by your staff...? Your response does not address the issue, which is the customer service of your staff that morning. I do not need another response. Thank you.

Clean and courteous. Problems....online reservations were down and when I went you couldnt pay by debit or credit. Cash only...but an ATM with a high surcharge is of course available. Call first to avoid that.

I’ve been going to Pureluxe for years. Only place where my gels always last at least three weeks. I usually get the same neutral color but around the holidays I like to go bold. They were patient with me as I picked out 5 colors for a red fade across all nails. They always do a great job but I had to commend them this time around!

Ive came here twice, I dont think Id come again. I came in for a refill on my acrylic nails, Tina was my nail technician both times. She refilled my nails and I left looking like I needed a refill. Im not sure why she doesnt want to drag the paint all the way to the nail bed. I even asked her to, and she got mad and only did one nail out of the 9 she needed to redo.Also, my nails were different sizes; the nail length on my right hand did not even resemble the length on my left hand. And when I asked her to fix it and showed clearly how every single nail didnt match with the other hand, she got mad and didnt fix it.Ive been getting my nails done for years, and this was just absurd. Will not be coming back again.

Great service from Angelina. Best acrylics Ive ever gotten in Northern Virginia and that includes area from Manasass to Fairfax to Alexandria to Arlington. She did everything perfectly and didnt miss a step. I wasnt rushed at all and felt comfortable. The only thing I didnt like was the setup of the work station as its setup as a bar. Im too short and was losing blood flow to my hands so I had to keep putting them on my lap when she switched hands.Decent prices as well.

I usually go to a place down the Pike, but stopped in here to give it a try. I was able to get a chair quickly, and the staff made sure I was extremely comfortable. The hot green tea was a nice touch. I will be going back here for sure.

I’m in love with my toes! Never ever getting acrylics here. Horrible just not satisfied. She tried to “fix it” and only did one nail. Like if she was rushing. I wanted them long and she did it the length she wanted to. 👎🏾👎🏾

Had a terrible experience! Came with my 12 year old stepdaughter and asked them to give her a mani pedi. As I was getting another service done we weren’t seated near each other. I asked them how much it would cost for her service in which they told me a price. About halfway through getting my nails done the owner comes back to me and says my stepdaughters nails would be an increased price. Come to find out the tech handed her a pamphlet and told her to “pick one” without any explanation. They had the audacity to up sale a 12 year old who had no idea what she was choosing. When I confronted them about the price we discussed vs what they got out of the 12 year old the owner said, “you must not have the money” since I was making such a big deal about it. Terrible service!!! Beware!!!

The place is very clean and inviting. My technician does an amazing job with my nails and is such a sweetheart. It is a relaxing experience. I wish i had found it sooner.

There is definitely a catch 22 to saying how much I love this salon--I want everyone to know what a great experience Ive had but once the word gets out, it will be booked all the time! Seriously, the price may seem a little higher than other salon choices nearby, but the experience is SO worth it. Between the really emollient creams, the mini massage on a mani/pedi and the time dedicated to each service, I feel like a totally pampered princess when Im done. I highly recommend this spot!

I had an appointment on 9/18 for a gel manicure and regular pedicure. After two days I noticed my nails were not polished properly and you could still see my nails under the polish . I call the shop on 9/22 was told to come in on 9/23 at 11amfor a repair. Instead of removing the polish they polished over the already polished nails and cured it under the light twice. Around 4pm I notice one of my nails stating to peel. I return to the shop and Im greeted by this older Asian man ... Ill assume hes the manager/owner. I asked if I could get all my nails re-done because now this is my third visit. He starts to question me as to why I want All my nails redone and not just the one nail. I explain bc I want to make sure its done properly and I dont have to come back a fourth time because my nails were never done properly in the first place. After the second time he asked why do I want All my nails done OVER. I say to him I am not going to be you for a service. Then he say LOOK I SAID I WILL DO BUT YOU NEED A APPOINTMENT BC WE BUST NOW! SO I SIMPLY SAT SIR I HAVE CHURCH TOMORROW SO WHAT TIME SHOULD I COME. THEN HE REPEATS I GIVE YOU AN APPOINTMENT FOR 4PM,AN HOUR BEFORE THEY CLOSE. I SIMPLY SAY FORGET ABOUT BC THE OWNER/MANAGER WHOS NAME I dont even know wasnt happy about proving me a service that wasnt done right in the beginning and after I spent $97 on my initial appointment. I just decide to leave... This salon is in walking distance from my house less than 5 minutes. Oh and I forgot to mention Ive patronized this business at least 5 times before with no problem. FOR THE LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE AND RESPECT FOR MY MONEY I WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS NAIL SALON. I HONESTY FEEL, IF I WERE A WHITE WOMAN I WOULDVE BEEN ACCOMADTED. DONT GO TO THIS NAIL SALON BECAUSE IF THEY MAKE A MISTAKE YOU END UP PAYING FOR IT!!!!!

The owner (some guy) who works there seems like hes really mean to his employees. Its hard to watch so I stopped coming by here. Also one the employees is really bad at doing my nails and I would always end up with her. I go across the street now.
