Great smaller country club tucked away in the city of Arlington. The restaurant offers good food and drinks for casual dining and relaxing. The golf course is lovely with big established trees and very popular.The pool is relaxing and sits off to the side making it very easy to access.Ethel with guest relations really goes the distance to make all feel welcome.

I love the friendly staff at Shady Valley Country Club! Beautifully updated facilities in a centrally located venue for the Arlington, Texas area make this a great place for business or social connections. Whether you want family gatherings, business gatherings or social ones, the staff and food are reliable and reasonably priced. The gym and spa are lovely. The golf course is wonderfully manicured and managed. My networking group meets here weekly. Consider Shady Valley for your next gathering.

Its not only a very nicely kept course, its also fun to play. Very nice facilities too including a great dining room.

Beautiful course and facilities. They are currently in the middle of updating everything as well, which seems to be going very well. Aside from that, everyone on the staff is wonderful.

Course is in horrible condition. Fairways are 4 thick. I hit 12 of 18 fairways yesterday averaging 250 yard drives and had six lost balls...in the center of the fairway. For a private country club trying to attract new members the course is in dire need of service ASAP. Also, course has numerous 5-some groups playing which just amounted to slow play based on poor conditions. We were a 2-some and it took us five hours and 30 minutes to complete 18 holes. Course needs more beverage service on the course as well.

Friendly staff and great club for events

This club turned in my balance owed to a collection agency for non payment. I knew I owned them money so in Feb. 2020, this year, I called and spoke with a lady that answered. I tried to get the balance from her but she couldnt find my file due to a recent change of management. She said she would look for my file and call me back but, of course, she never did. I called a few days later and got the general voicemail, so I left a detailed message and NO ONE returned my call. I have not had a job since January so I couldnt pay them after that. Now its November and they turned my balance into a collection agency. Poor staff and unreliable. Now I have to deal with this collection because the club was unresponsive. They had their chance to get money. Lesson learned.

The LGA tournament is amazing every year. The new pro Chad was very nice and helpful. Huge thank you to Steve Cagle in the pro shop for his patience and great customer service. Give him a raise👍

Shady Valley Country Club is a beautiful facility. They have hosted our Arlington Womans Club Christmas Party for 3 years in a row. They have also supplied many meal on site at our club house. The staff is SO efficient. They can serve a room full of 75people in less that 15 minutes. Everyone is friendly & personable.

My wife and I are members, and we like it as a place to go for dinner. Were just social members, as we dont really golf, but people must love their courses, because we always see lots of golfers, there. The staff is very good, and the food is actually very good, too, though we tend to avoid the buffet specials, and order from the menu. They change the menu frequently. Very inexpensive and nice little club.

I attended a charity auction event held at the club. The place was a beautiful location. The staff was great and the food service was good. The facilities meeting room was not perfect but the club made it work. All in all I would certainly recommend the club for a banquet or special event like this.

One of my buddies is a member at this golf course. I’ve played there several times with him and met a couple of his country club friends. Everyone is super laid-back and just out there to have a good time. The course is well taken care of and fun.

Had an event here for a company milestone, was great. Less expensive than some other venues we visited that were not as nice. Staff was absolutely AWESOME and helped so much with everything. Great place to have a wedding, party or other event.

My husband and I are being members of Shady Valley country club for several years. He likes play golf and always tells me that this club has great golf course. Maybe... because all other facilities are not great: pretty outdated, very small. Restaurant menu is very limited and waiting time after ordering is about 1 hour even if there are only couple of people.My biggest concern is the swimming pool. 2-3 years ago it was well kept and nice. Last year and this year they do not take good care of the pool: most of the time it is full of dead bugs, pieces of grass, surrounding area are dirty, pool staff (school kids) does not care. After several complaints they swept some dirt on one side of pool and left trash on another.Our family are going cancel our membership.

I love the food but unless you want to wait for a very long time get the breakfast buffet. I like the lunch food and LOVE the dinner food but I have had my ice melt while waiting on more than one occasion (even when there are few people there). Food is still phenomenal so I gave it an extra star

The food and service were good. The slices of filet I had were a little bit under done however.

I visited SVCC only to judge their facilities to see if it would suffice for a class reunion. Parking seemed adequate as did the dining/bar area. The staff I interacted with were pleasant and knowledgeable. I might very well give it 5 stars if were to spend more time there.

Attended wedding rehearsal dinner here. Food and staff good. However could hear large crowd on the other side of the wall more than speeches and table talk.

Golf course staffs are great, however, the financials department is terrible. Gave them my two credit cards, my card still active. Some how they cant charge my first credit card, not automatic charge a second card. Instead gave me a late free. I never late one payment for the whole life. This kinda damage my pride badly. No phone call or email inform me the payment cannot process. Or phone call. I recieved a bill more than 1200. Super upset

Hard to find. Entrance is poorly marked. Myself and 3 other vehicles turned into the residential entrance just before the club entrance. Very small club house. I use the term loosely. This was not what I expected from a membership club. The toilet took 3 times to flush. We could clearly hear the party downstairs. The food was luke warm. The service was great which is why they got 2 stars. The main dishes and sides although not warm had good flavor. The desserts were terrible.

Great management has turned this place around! The course has never looked better! It is a fabulous course with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. It is a great home away from home!

Nice, Place. Went to the clubhouse which sits at the 18th hole for a Birthday party. The Food was prepared by the chef and was good. Would go back.

What makes Shady Valley special? The people, both members and staff. Shady is a small country club with a relaxed atmosphere. You wont get all of the frills of a high dollar country club, but you wont pay for it either. In my opinion it is one of the best private country club values in the DFW metroplex.

I played there 20 years ago and liked it. But its not senior friendly and my friend bought a beer for 7 dollars...The worst value in golf and mediocre club house ..

To call this a golf course would be giving this parcel of land undue credit. To call this a country club, unfathomable. You can leave your putter in the car because a sand wedge will suffice on these greens. Lewis and Clark would have been more useful for the purposes of navigating this untended hellhole of a course than my rangefinder was. Be sure to bring a machete, youll need it in the fairways.Having accepted the fact that I was at a course not deserving of the the title, municipal, we received the kind of disguised reprieve that could only be made possible by a goat track. Upon making the turn, we discovered that the brilliant minds of the pro shop had sent tee times of both nines causing a five group backup at the turn. After fuming for a few minutes we left, exhausted from tramping through the amazonian wilderness.

Staff was friendly and the facilities were clean although dated. Overall, the food was really good and the experience was pleasant.

Came here for a wedding reception, what a beautiful venue! The reception took up two rooms, and it still flowed very well.
