I lived here for 3 years and it was a mostly good experience! I loved how much space we got for the price we paid, and parking was a relatively reasonable price for the area. The staff does their best to help with issues and compared to other places I’ve lived management does a good job communicating about upcoming maintenance or disruptions. The Maintenance staff responds to issues quickly and problems are usually fixed within a day. The main downside is that it’s an older building and the pipes definitely have some issues. We had a few small ceiling leaks while we lived there and the pipes always made loud noises when we used one of the showers. I was always afraid we’d end up with a burst pipe one day, but thankfully we never did! There were also issues with people pulling the fire alarm in the middle of the night, which happened on and off for the whole 3 years I lived there. Guest parking can also be a challenge at times, and you have to pay $5 a day for guests to park, which is inconvenient but also partially just a feature of being in the DC area with limited parking. So there are definitely pros and cons but overall it was a pretty good experience! One final note for awareness- the building says it’s pet free but there were still many dogs around because of service/emotional support animal exemptions, so if you have severe allergies or kids who are afraid of dogs, just be aware! Overall, I would rent from Dittmar again in the future.

I have lived at DMT for about 6 months now and it has truly been a wonderful experience. Loved it so much that I am signing a year long lease with them. Everyone from front desk, service men to the managers are nice and friendly yet very professional.Feels like home and has a quiet family kind of environment — no noise or madness which is a necessity in these stressful pandemic and Work From Home times. Gym feels like a safe space to workout as they limit 5 folks for an hour long reservation/session (few weights/dumbbells are missing for several months that’s my only complaint, otherwise it’s well equipped). Highly recommend this place!

We lived in Dolley Madison Towers for 2 years, we had our first son here. We absolutely loved it. The management staff, location, neighbors, services and everything was amazing. Loved the fact that it is family friendly, and quite at the same time. Everyone is really courteous. Above all, the pricing we got for the 3 bedroom was the best for same quality in the Arlington area. To be honest, quality wise, you can never go wrong with any Rent Dittmar property. We will forever remember and cherish our stay.

Just ok when I was there, however it appears to have been dramatically improved. Great view of the Golf Course from the 10th floor.

I lived at DMT for a year and it was fine, nothing special. What I couldnt get over, and ultimately was a big factor in me deciding to move out, is that you can still smoke in your individual apartments even though it is 2020. Thankfully, none of my immediate neighbors smoked, but the constant smell of cigarette smoke and weed filling the hallway was a big turnoff. Once the management change happened halfway through my lease, things seem to go a bit downhill.I ended up moving to an apartment thats on the metro line and smoke free. I read some people got hit with ridiculous move-out cleaning charges. Word of advice: Hire professional cleaners and you wont be charged a dime.

I moved into Dolly Madison apartments in November, 2018. I LOVE calling this place my home! Everyone who works here is great. Miss Laverne in the leasing office is incredibly patient and she truly listens to your needs. The place is extremely clean and parking is a breeze (I pay for a parking spot in the garage) but havent had any driving visitors yet to offer any opinions on the general parking. The closet space is generous and the kitchen is the perfect size. I had to put in a work order request and it was handled immediately. No joke, the staff here is awesome!!!The neighbor above me is very heavy-footed and all around extremely loud, but that is normal for apartment living. If you are looking for a nice place to live, check out this place!!!

I truly enjoyed living at Dolley Madison Towers! As a single mom it is comforting to come home and feel safe. I truly am thankful for the team for always making themselves available to answer my questions and address my concerns. Dolley Madison is a great place to live for families and young professionals. The housekeeping team do a wonderful job keeping the building clean and refreshing. Its nice living in a building with a friendly staff especially Laverne Banks she is a true gem and she needs a promotion! Laverne always go the extra mile for the tenants. I truly appreciate the manager Emily Brand because she was able to assist me with an issue was able to provide resources for my needs. I certainly cannot forget to mention the front desk staff, Curtis, Denise, and Sarah. These three individuals particularly rocks and I really appreciate the kindness they have shown to me and my children. If you are looking for a quiet and convenient place to live look no further.

I have lived in this community for over one year and have absolutely loved living here! The only reason I am leaving is to have a closer commute to work, however I will say that the entire staff is exceptional! Front Desk staff were awesome and always welcoming! The leasing and administrative staff were always professional and punctual! You are missing out on great times and a great community if you dont live here!

My husband and i took a tour and it was beautiful! The leasing office was super friendly and super helpful! Rent is very appropriate for the property! And we can not wait to move in!

We have been inundated with weed smoking neighbors and management does nothing to resolve this lease violation. Even the security won’t do anything. Every night I come home to a choking smell.

A year later i would like to update my review 🙂 and give an accurate one since I’ve been living here for about 16 months now.My family just signed up a lease for anorher year and we are more than happy to call this place home!For this price, I believe you will not find anything else in Arlington that is nice, renovated, clean and safe.The staff is amazing. Even a year later they still care about their residents just as much as before they signed their lease.They work with you in many ways to accommodate your needs. They always have time for you and it is just such a friendly atmosphere, you just want to live here and not move. 🙂Apts are very clean. No bugs. No mice. Whatsoever. Electric and water bill are a fraction of what we used to pay elsewhere.Golf course / city view are breathtaking.Very well soundproof.The fire alarm issue is a thing from the past.I’ve experienced them few times in my 1st week here and then the issue was fixed and since then this hasn’t been a problem.There were 2 fire alarms for a whole year after that due to forgotten toast and such. And these are not management ‘s staff. They come with any apt living.Maintenance is done quickly. Cleaning stuff is working hard. Carpet in hallways is washed pretty often. If i can rate them 0 stars, I would. If you plan on living here for just a year, dont. If you do, at the end of the year they will tell you how you owe $1200 to replace their carpet. They go by life expectancy of 5 years for the carpet so they will subtract so many months you used it and if they need to replace it, they will charge you the remaining life expectancy of the carpet. They said every room was a High Traffic area on the carpet. The high traffic area was where my bed frame sat and where i needed to stand in order to go into and out of the room. I think they expected me to fly. Of course the carpet will wear out after a year of use, so that means I need to pay for new carpeting? I might as well buy my own house then. I had ZERO stains in that middle room. I have pictures to show it. This was about to go into a lawsuit due to them not doing their jobs. Not pre-inspecting properly Telling us everything looked good, until we LEFT! They also said i didnt pay the water bill when i clearly paid a month MORE than i was supposed to. What a joke. Youre better off paying more at another better property. I will never stay at a dittmar property again nor will i ever recommend anyone to stay at these properties.Note: its not just Dolley Madison. It is all the properties they own under Dittmar.They also tow cars if someone else sets your alarm off. Happened to my roommate, twice. Never reimbursed. Then when there are cars without parking passes they only give a warning rather than towing it. Doesnt help those who pay and cant find parking. Then whats the point? Just bring a new car there every time and youll be good. I guess that was the only perk as well. Never paid for parking after that.Last but not least, I dont know why but the water there is a little sketchy. Everything the water touches, it dries red. My showerhead, combs, and shower curtain. No wonder the turnover rate here is so high.I never leave reviews. Im all for businesses, but this place is genuinely some crap charging the resident for new carpeting upon vacating. Hope this helps you guys.
