My wife and I recently purchased a new 2021 VW atlas cross sport 3.6L SEL premium R line and the buying experience was great we actually really enjoyed the purchasing experience. However when we took delivery of our new vehicle we noticed that they ceramic coated over the adhesive left from the foam shipping blocks used when transporting the car. I called the salesman who sold us the vehicle and he said they would take care of it. When we received the car back the adhesive was gone however they clearly did not re apply the ceramic coating. This made my wife and I feel like we were taken advantage of. Lastly we have been trying to get in touch with the service desk and keep getting told they will call us back… trust me when I say this do not hold your breath for Bergstrom to call you back it’s been 6 days since they have said they would call me right back.
I came in with a coupon card that I received in the mail. It had coupons like $15 off, free tire rotation etc. I told the guy to use the best coupon only to notice that it wasnt the case. The best coupon would have been the free tire rotation instead of the 15$ off. My bad. Next time I will specifically tell them which coupon to use. I was also expecting a shuttle ride while my vehicle was being serviced. However I was told that we do not provide shuttle rides on Saturdays. This seems new to me because I have on numerous occasions serviced my vehicles on Saturdays and was never told about the Saturday no ride rule. Maybe this is something new. But what was interesting is, while I was waiting in the lobby while my vehicle was being serviced, one sales guy asked me whether Im waiting for a shuttle ride. So Im confused on whether there are shuttle rides on Saturdays or not. I was also expecting a multi-inspection report, which I did not get. I was just told that everything checked out well. But would be nice to receive a copy of the report. I was also expecting my vehicle to be washed after service. But was told that due to very cold weather/ temperatures, we do not wash vehicles. Maybe its true. But Ive not heard of PDQ wash shutting down due to cold weather :) So overall, it was a poor service
Danny my service advisor was nothing short of great!! He explained everything and never made me feel like I wasn’t in charge of what I was going to have done on my car. All other service people were great as well. You continue to to impress me and I will definitely continue to bring my car there for all service needed. Thanks again.

Do NOT trade in your vehicle here whatsoever. They will low ball you $4-5k below and turn around and put it on the lot next day for $5k more than they offered. They also won’t negotiate KBB trade in values. What a joke. Profit is profit, but don’t low ball people and back them in corners when it comes to trading in their vehicle!
While I don’t do many reviews unless something is exceptional, I had to leave a review for Shawn in VW service. Throughout the last few years, on the rare occasion I need service on my Touareg, Shawn has gone above and beyond to not only diagnose and repair my vehicle, but he has also gone far beyond the extra mile with the valet service and retuning my vehicle over two hours away. Several years ago I smelled diesel fumes in the cab of my vehicle, they couldn’t find the leak, any other service department would’ve said, “Couldn’t find anything,” and made me feel like I was crazy. Not only did Shawn not give up, they spent the entire day tearing my engine apart to find it—and they did! On my latest service visit, the valet had an issue beyond his control and Shawn still had my car back to me the same day! Thanks, Shawn!
We worked with Dan Prell - a sales advisor at Bergstrom on Victory Lane and he was amazing! He took 2 hours to help us, he took every step to make sure our questions were answered. all in all he was 10 out of 10 for customer service and we will be seeing him again someday for our next upgrade

Horiable experience with the lying counter service person. I called ahead to see how long it would take to get a nail in the tire fixed and let them know I was 10 minutes out. They said 30 minutes and would be ready for me. I dropped off the family at the store and was at bergstrom 10 minutes later like I said I would be. They then told me it would be a hour or so which the family was not somewhere they would want to wait an extra half hour or more for me. I told the person at the counter that they told me it would take only 30 minutes and that I didnt have 1 hour+ to wait . He didnt seam to care, didnt apologize, and seamed frustrated that I even bothered him. I will choose to vote with my dollar elsewhere. You lost me as a customer.
Terrible place to work. Are you really sorry for the poor experience, fired for being honest on an employee satisfaction survey, general manager singled me out as the manager who gave honest feedback

Excellent service department! Im a new Jetta owner and not really sure on what is normal with the running of my car and the are very helpful. They reassured me my car is running fine. I have had new cars in the past (differant manufacturer). I have had problems with them since the day I bought them. Thats why Im unsure about this car and call alot with issues.. but its just me.. They go above and beyond. They were so nice that after my serivce they washed my car :) and I also got a free oil change. No other service has done this for me. I was unsure of owning a Volkswagen but I started driving it and fell in love. Big thank you to the service department for going above and beyond. The sales department at the dealership is top notch as well! They were nice enough to help me with the my car app on my phone and answer all my questions I had with no hesitation. Will be going their for any thing my car needs service on. Will recommend the dealership for sales to :)
Great customer service. My granddaughter had to bring our car in for service. We were out of town. They treated her with the utmost respect. They kept me informed of the process. Due to time line of service they gave her a service loaner. I couldnt have asked for anything more.
EDIT 15 September 2020: Updating from 1 star to 3 stars.I purchased a car from this dealership back in June; it was the perfect car at a very fair price. The salesperson (Dan P) and finance manager (Nick P) were both very helpful.This purchase would have been a 5 star experience, but there were big delays in completing my out of state vehicle registration process. It took more than 70 days to get license plates as the dealer’s vendor had delays due to Covid-19.The dealer was unable to print new temporary tags after they expired the second time, meaning I went ~20 days with a vehicle with no valid registration. I also had a hard time contacting the finance manager on a few occasions; it sounds like the dealership was busy and I often went days with no updates.My advice to management: Get rid of Reg USA, the service provider that the dealership uses to handle paperwork. It was a frustrating experience to say the least to be left with an illegal vehicle.My advice to other folks at the dealership: over communicate with customers if something is going wrong. I found it very frustrating to have to make multiple calls trying to check on the status and get no answers from the finance department.My advice to out of state customers: Covid-19 is an extraordinary circumstance. As far as dealerships go, this shop seems legitimate, and their online prices are fair. They are a great option, but know that Covid has slowed their ability to get you a license plate.
Excellent service, friendly staff!!! Shawn was great and I loved getting into my clean car! Thank you for the car wash! I didnt know ahead of time or would have grabbed my blanket as it was very chilly in your lounge area. I did receive an automated text message to let Shawn know if I needed anything during my visit. I did respond I would like my blanket from the back seat of my car but I did not receive a response to my text message. I showed Shawn the two messages when he let me know my car was finished (1 hour 20 minutes later as anticipated) and asked him why I didnt get a response. He said the message is automated and they have no way to see any responses. I was not familiar with this courtesy automated text I received and thought it was a Covid thing so I thought to text back was the appropriate thing to do - guess I could have just walked back out to the service desk to ask if I could go get my blanket. Just strange - why bother sending this automated text message if no one can see any responses - waste of money Bergrstrom to have this and it is annoying to people like me who bothered to look at the text and respond and expect a response. Just curious - why do people working on your car have to change personalized settings? (I understand moving the seat so its safe for them to drive the vehicle and thats easy to return to where it was.) If its necessary to change other settings to do the service being performed, why cant whomever pay attention to what it was at before they changed it so they can put it back to where it was? Or, if that takes too much time, could a service tech or someone come out to your car with you to make sure everything is the way you need it to be before you safely leave Bergstrom? I suppose an easy resolution would be for the service tech to just advise the guest some settiings may have been changed and, if they notice anything different in the settings before they leave to come back in an ask for assistance, if needed. At least this way time would only be spent with those of us who would like help. (In fairness, my car only has slightly over 5,000 miles on it and this is my first service experience at Volkswagen however this seems to happen wherever you go.) After many attempts, I still dont have my dashboard view back to the way it was before the service appointment. I can refer to my owners manual and try to figure it out as the buttons I use on the steering wheel arent working the way they prevously did. I will admit - I am not technologically savvy - but still, my time is also precious and I would prefer not havinig to figure this out. While your service is pretty awesome, there is always room for improvement. These comments are not complaints - just suggestions to spur Bergstroms employee team discussions on what else can be done to make a guests visit even more pleasant and to always be ahead of how your competition delivers service! Tried to make an appointment on Monday and they said they will call me back to schedule time. I hadn’t received any call back so I called sales supervisor on Wednesday at about 5pm and made an test drive appointment on Thursday 7PM. I drove two hours on Thursday and when I stepped in the dealer, the appointed salesman told me that car got sold a couple hours ago. I didn’t received any phone call from bergstorm to inform me the selling status of the vehicle. I worked with Boucher, hall, vw of Milwaukee north, Naples vw of mount prospect, no one treated customers unprofessionally like berstorm did.
They dont bother call you back. Clearly they arent worried about repeat business or new business. Go elsewhere
I took my car in to volkwagon Ive had nothing but trouble with them for all the money I am paying back for my new car they should be more professional they made me stay outside because of the covid no cookies no water they had a excuse for everything they must be short staff if I do come back I expect to get treated better I had to wait two hours for my car which should of ta kik em 45 minutes I want happy

It was my first time here and I was very pleased. They were busy when I dropped my car off for routine maintenance but they got to me quickly. They explained things well to me and my 30,000 mi maintenance was done efficiently. Bonus was to see that besides giving my car a wash they also cleaned inside!
Titus at Bergstrom of Appleton was exceptional to work with. We were shopping for a new 3-row SUV and Titus did a great job of informing us of the pros/cons of the VW Atlas, as well as the other vehicles in the marketplace. He had a no-pressure approach (seriously, no pressure) and even encouraged us to go drive all the competitors. We came back to Titus at Bergstrom to find the model/trim in the color we were looking for wasnt available so we had to pass on purchasing. Titus spent so much time and effort with us that I felt bad he didnt get the sale that afternoon. I would strongly suggest anybody even considering an Audi or VW to swing by and talk to Titus. Hell be the first person I reach to when Im in the market for my next car.
I had my 2013 Jetta serviced here. They quickly diagnosed my radiator electrical issues that I would have never figured out myself. Besides that, I had some tune up items done and was happy to hear they used OEM parts. Labor cost was high at this shop, but the service was warrantied to 12k miles and my mechanic Jose was very knowledgeable. Overall I left satisfied with the total cost to what I received and I usually do this type of work myself. I could see myself coming back for more work in the future.
Good service, but slower than were used to and unusually expensive even for a dealer. Worst was having coupons that apparently apply to no car in existence. We may be considering an alternative in the future.
I frequently call the parts department, and they are always very helpful and friendly. They have the ability to solve just about any issue Ive had. Definitely will continue using them as both a resource and for odds and ends of parts.
Absolutely fantastic service! The service consultant I typically work with is Eric, and my experience has been beyond the simple 5 stars I am allowed to rate. Courteous, knowledgeable, very professional, but friendly as well. I will not take my vehicle anyplace else.

Transferred 3 times trying to purchase tires for a newerish (2018) car that would of been installed by them, very frustrating rather go to Halls in Milwaukee or broadway avoid them main question is way is service better at different Bergstroms? I’ve gotten nothing but stellar service at Mercedes...

Although I have never gotten any physical work done at this dealership there service/parts department has been extremely kind and helpful when I have questions on parts or other car Volkswagen specific questions.
In November 2018 we stopped at Bergstrom VW in Appleton to test drive three cars. We were greeted by Dan Prell. He got all three cars for us and we test drove them one after the other. No pressure at all, answered all our questions, and didn’t hassle us at all the week after. We came back the following weekend to test drive one of the cars again and ended up buying it. Great experience all around. If we buy another car from Victory Lane Imports, we will be working with Dan again.When we brought our VW in for the first oil change, Scott Roth and Jose Garcia helped us out. We ran into a weird issue (VW’s fault) and Scott was very helpful in getting it taken care of.Thanks again!

No good they hire mechanic and under pay them then have in house fighting where their workers will sabotage job orders and undermine the customers car putting the safety and lives of the customers at risk alll over the fact they in house fighting then their management interferes with service as their discretions. that factual. never ever ever ever again some of the sales reps are very professional and good but when the company itself endangers people lives due to the corruptions of the Bergstrom family thats issue can not over look period..... had to edit my review cause this guy is calling me a lier and of course thats what he would say? it all factual.....you dont want to resolve nothing

They were unable to effect repairs for a thermostat due to corrosion I am told after having my car for a week. I took it in for a 2nd opinion although being told that 2 to 10 mm bolts were seized onto the engine block. None of which were true. The mechanic I took it to does not really know why I was told that because the part was covered and deep in the engine and covered from any road salt. He only had my car about a day and repairs were done. I have zero confidence in Burgstrom VW repair service and would urge others to take their repair needs elsewhere.
Nice and friendly for service, however the car took a little longer for the (involved) maintenance.

I took a used VW in for them to evaluate before I purchased it. They missed reporting wiper blades that were falling apart, corroded battery terminals and bad stabilizer bar. When I contacted management about my experience, they were very apologetic and offered to look at it again, but graciously refunded my money. Although, I dont trust their technicians.
I wish I still had my VW so I could come back to this place. I had multiple problems with my car, but they were very helpful and friendly throughout the whole experience.
Parts department: special ordered some parts, didnt realize until I was halfway through the job that they were wrong. Called back and the guy working couldnt even find the parts in the system. Ended up talking to vw in Oshkosh and drove over an hour to get the right parts from them.
They sale cars that have been in accidents and dont tell you and it.
