This location is by far the best full service shop I have been to in the triangle area. It is hard to find a shop with mechanics and experience instead of part changers. This location has both. The front counter staff is friendly and straight forward. I handle a fleet of work trucks and vans. After trying multiple shops and dealerships with absolutely horrible service and 1-4 week wait times…Blacks Tires has gone above and beyond my expectations. I highly recommend this location.

They had the car for hours and forgot to do the inspection as requested, no sticker for the oil change, but didnt forget to charge $60 to remove 4 screws in a roof rack. I wonder what else they forgot. Wont be going back.

This is one of those rare places that tells you the honest truth about what you need to get fixed and does not try to sell you service you dont need. We have had many great experiences here and would highly recommend them.

The employees are friendly and helpful. The service was pretty quick and its nice that they top of your fluids and do a small check of your car when you bring it in. That said, the fact that I paid $100 for an oil change is ridiculous. The most I have ever paid in my life for an oil change before this was $50. I dont really know who you can justify such an outrageous cost; at least the service was good.

I had some work done on our Tahoe a few weeks ago. I have dealt with Blacks Tire in Wilmington for years so I already knew that I could trust this company. Vance and his crew did not disappoint at this location either. They went out of their way to make sure that our family had a safe vehicle to drive. Vance delivered on his word of when the work would be done, and was even a little earlier than expected. If you are looking for an HONEST mechanic/tire dealer who won’t try to find try to up sale your or find “other” things wrong on your vehicle then bring it to this Blacks Tire. Let me just say... the service does not get any better than the service we were given today!! We were on the way to take a State test and got a completely flat tire. We barely made it into the parking lot. This was at 12:10pm, we had to be at our test at 1pm. We explained our situation to the staff. The Store Manager Vance drove us to our test and picked us up when we were done. He had the truck ready when we got back. Honestly, you could not ask for any better customer service than this!! They went above and beyond to help us out and made sure we made it to our test!!

Awful service! I left 2 wheels this morning at 10:00 am to replace the tires and told them i need it done ASAP since the car is sitting on 2 jacks. They called me just before 1pm to tell me they are done but never told me they close the shop for the weekend at 1pm. So i got at the shop at 1:20 and they are gone. Nobody picks up the phone, no alternate, emergency number to be found. It looks like my car will sit on jacks all weekend long!!Very unhappy!

I have been here twice now. I was in need of a replacement tire and needed it to be Goodyear to match the others that came on car. Well, I ordered the tire from Goodyears website and it found me an authorized installer for Goodyear and scheduled my appointment for me. Blacks Tire & Auto Service was in top of it - calling to confirm and then reassuring me that they had received the tire and I was set to come in. I believe Alan is the manager at this location - hes very nice, extremely knowledgeable, and certainly cares for his customers. I recently returned after being rear-ended, simply asking them to check to ensure everything was okay, and they did just that and made it affordable also. Thanks Guys!

Been coming to Black’s Tire in Apex for years. I have always had great customer service.

Went in for a front in alignment, had me in and out with a smile.

Set appointment but no one was available and it took 30 minutes to find out. Estimate was $100 more when I picked my car up and then was still overcharged by $10. My biggest concern however was their careless disregard related to covid protections. No one working there wore a mask, customers came into the waiting area with no mask and were not asked to wear one. My wife and I were forced to wait out at a picnic bench and she was bitten by fire ants and then we switched to a bench that was broken. They did not make me aware of any disinfecting of the interior of my car and I witnessed employees coughing and sneezing with no masks. Felt a disregard for my and my wifes well being and unless the repairs fail I will not return.

I have been going to Blacks Tire in Apex to keep my car maintained for over 6 years. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. I usually dont book appointments ahead of time but they still get me in and out of there in no time. They are willing to give me a ride to my job when needed. The customer service has always been amazing!

Their pricing is reasonable and their service is top notch! We take both of cars to Blacks for our tires and oil changes, etc.

This place will cost you more $$$ than you realize. Some sorry mechanic they had working there stripped the threads in my oil pan at an oil change so the plug wouldnt go back in & stay without leaking badly. I had to buy a replacement plug & now NO ONE will change my oil unless I get a new oil pan (which with part & labor is several hundred $!) Blacks should be responsible for replacing it!

Was told by other tire chain repair shop that my brakes were dangerously worn and that they needed to be replaced. Took it into Blacks and they said there was still plenty of wear left on them and did not need to be replaced. They did not charge anything. Honest people and proved to be trustworthy.

We purchased 4 tires and had them installed. The service was prompt, knowledgeable and friendly. The waiting room was clean and comfortable. Ill go back!

Ive never been here before last Friday but came on the recommendation of a friend. Since then this our 3rd visit as a family. My tire had to be replaced and it was done quickly (same day and in less than an hour) and very reasonably! (They have a WIDE range of prices) My son got a nail in his tire and took it in on Monday and they were able to repair it. He was thrilled! Today, my wifes car got a screw in it and I drove it over here. They put it up on the rack to determine if it needs repair or replace. We can repair it! Theyre swapping the tires around to put the best tread on the rear. Im coming back in a few weeks to replace the 2 rear tires which we knew needed replacing. Great prices. Great service. Ive been taking my car here for years (5+ at least) and Im very impressed. These guys are great and I cant recommend them enough. Ive since started bringing friends and family when their cars get into scrapes. Their prices are very competitive but whats more is you can trust theyre going to fix the car right. Randy and everyone are super easy to work with and so friendly.

Blacks has been doing all of my auto work and boss’ work for the past 2 years. They have done everything for me and my wife from oil changes to replacing all four tires on my car. They are always super helpful and friendly. They are pretty busy, but they can typically get your car back to you very quickly. I have never had to leave a car there for more than a day myself. Very trustworthy and respectful. 10/10 would recommend.

When I first went to Blacks, I ended up speaking to the manager about how I grew up in a small town and how easy it was to have a long business relationship with the mechanics around there. Turned out that he grew with the same dynamic and he explained how blacks is built on those same principles.Fast foward to today, I had to go back in because something I had asked for hadnt worked out the way theyd hoped. I spoke to the manager and he fixed the problem. No fuss, no muss, no lengthy explanations. It was like I had been going there for 50 years.Most importantly it was just like he said it would be.Thanks guys!

We trust no one else. They are by far the most professional auto service place in the triangle. They are organized, knowledgeable, and honest! They even call when the say they are going to! We drive all the way from North Raleigh to Cary to have them work on our cars!!

I would never recommend this place to anyone. They will not fix your vehicle correctly nor attempt to fix it. My father had to fix their mistakes. When you actually care about the work you do, you’ll make sure that you put forth every effort to make sure things are done correctly the first time. You’ll also not be nonchalant about it and act as though it is not a big deal.Save your money and shop around.

I was referred to Black’s by a friend after having a bad experience elsewhere. I am so glad that I tried Black’s today and now have a place I can trust to care for my Toyota Sienna. The service was excellent, I was extremely pleased with the price and my van has not felt this good since I bought it last year. My experience was so good, that I even called them to tell them that my ride home felt awesome. Businesses hear the complaints more than the accolades and Black’s deserves a shout out for excellent work!

I found a flat tire due to a large screw puncture late the night before we needed to drive our Acadia to a conference leaving at 9:00am the next morning. I called Blacks Tire at 7:30am, explained the situation, and asked if they could do it and get me going by 9am. They said bring it on in so I aired up the tire and drove it on over.I arrived around 7:45 and they had me ready to go by 8:30. They exceeded my timeframe and my expectations.Blacks Tire was a lifesaver and were very courteous and helpful to me as a customer who was only spending $24 for a tire patch.If this is how they treat someone who is not spending very much, it bodes well to how they treat all of their customers. I will definitely keep them in mind the next time I need service or tires! Thanks guys!

Went in a few days ago to see about having an issue checked on my car. I showed up around 5 not realizing what time they closed. I asked if there was any way that someone could take a look at my car. The young guy working at the counter was short tempered and aggravated with that question and said theres no way because they were closing soon. I said that was no problem, I could come in another time. While trying to pick a time that worked for both of us and trying to describe my issue, the guy was short tempered and rude. He kept speaking over me and rushing me making me feel like I was being an inconvenience. I made an appointment to come another day but have decided I am going to cancel because I will not do business with a company that has such terrible customer service. If you like to argue with staff, then good luck to you. I will not be returning.

Bill and his team are always super friendly and very honest. We rely on them to service our business cars as well as our personal cars. He will always accomondate an urgent request and works with us to come up with cost effective options instead of the most expensive option. We highly recommend them.

Had an outstanding experience at Blacks.I had picked up a nail in my tire and was told by Hendrick GMC after waiting for an hour that I would need to replace the entire set which only had 10k miles on them for ~$1500.Got a second opinion from Blacks who in 10 minutes discovered that I didnt need to replace any of the tires, much less the entire set. I was back on the road that day without spending a dollar, but because of their honesty and integrity I can tell you when it is time to replace my tires I know where Ill be going.

I had an extensive series of problems with an older mini-van over a few months. For one problem they gave me a very helpful referral. The rest they handled for a fair price. There was one follow-up concern that *may* have been triggered by their work. The rep took care of it for no charge before I even thought about arguing. The mini-van just handled a 1500+ mile road trip with no issues. Extremely pleased and will be back for any future needs.

Took my car here for a bad bearing and they fixed it with no issues. Mechanic showed me the bad part and was satisfied with their service. Also brought my wifes car here and they checked it for free and even referred me to another garage that could fix the issue they couldnt! With so many people and garages in Cary/Apex its nice to know ive found a place to keep coming back to!

Very knowledgeable and up front service technicians and management. They are honest and dont try to sell you more than you need. A front and rear rotator/pad service took about 3 hours. The technician showed me the wear on the pads beforehand and I could watch as he connected the special rotator turning machine which keeps shaves the surfaces with great precision and with minimal wear.These folks do what you ask be done, but they will gladly look beyond the job at hand if you asked them to or ask for their advice. They dont oversell. So it benefits you to talk with the service technician and go over the condition of various items when the car is on the lift. They will gladly checked things out with you present, for example.That might have helped the fellow who gave the unfortunate review earlier.My experience was great and a few more items that need attention soon were discovered. Thats what I need to know.

More than 5 stars isnt available, or Id give it! This morning was my first time going to Blacks. I knew nothing about them except that they were on my way to work and I needed a new tire, PRONTO! (Work up with a flat, again...same tire..long story). So, I went in at about 7:20 and asked if they could put a new tire on, and I was cranky as can be. They had me out the door by 7:40 and I still made it to work at 8:15! And they were pleasent even though I was being cranky! What a great crew! They have my business from here on!

This Thursday after the tornado warning was expired we went shopping at Kroger, Apex. Forgot to turn off the front lights for an hour our car battery exhausted. Before my husband borrowed a jump cable from Kroger I turned to a gentleman for help. He went to Blacks Tire & Auto Service across the plaza and came back in a few minutes accompanied by Mr. Garry Hillis, technician of the tire store. Using a jump starter he started our car right away. We cant thank enough to Mr. Garry Hillis, and Blacks Tire & Auto Service in Apex, and the gentleman in Kroger parking lot (sorry we forgot to ask his name) for all your generous help.

Had a giant bolt in the back of one of my tires, came in on a busy Saturday. They were fast, friendly, and fair. Overheard a few conversations where they were telling people they didnt need new tires. i.e. not trying to sell customers things they dont need. I was in and out in 45 mins and spent $22. Would go back in a heartbeat.

Early this morning, while heading to work, I came across a young man struggling to fix his tire. It was 28 degrees and I learned that hed been there for 45 minutes. We loaded up his tires in my truck and I ran him up to Blacks Tire Service in Apex. It was 7:00 am by this time but the manager, Randy Prosser, waved us in anyway. I explained that I had to go but would pay the bill as well as the trouble for carrying the man back to his car. Randy never missed a beat and waved me off saying well handle this, dont worry about it. The young man is a father of 3 and had been working a late shift. He was very polite but clearly in need of assistance. Randy Prosser demonstrated virtue and genuine love of fellow man by his actions. I am deeply moved by this demonstration of kindness. I will do all I can to share this story and route my business to Blacks Tire Service from now on. Thank you Mr. Prosser!

Hey this is a great place. I will refer my friends and family to this placs.

My Mother and I happened to be in the area when her low tire sensor light came on this morning. My Mother always having been a do it yourself woman was unfortunately unable to find her tire gauge when we stopped at the near by gas station. So She decided to stop in and ask for a little help which the opening counter guy wasnt willing to provide. We were the first ones there today and he was more interested in making and drinking coffee then assisting future paying customers or someone who may already be a paying customer. When She asked if he happened to have a tire gauge She could borrow so She could check the tire herself. He informed her that he did not have one on him or anywhere in the shop. I have never been to any automobile shop were they have not had a tire gauge, let alone a tire shop!! We waited for someone else to come in and check the tire for her at which time the mechanic waited at the counter to get approval/permission from the counter guy for at least 5 minutes. The young mechanic was very helpful, was tipped well for his assistances, saw us successfully and gratefully on our way. Thankful my Mother was smart enough not to driven on the low tire after her low tire indication light came on.

Cold weather caused all my tires to be underinflated. Sensor went crazy. They filled them all up for no charge.

Broke a tpms sensor on install of 4 new tires and wanted to charge me to fix it. Put 2 nitrogen caps a chrome cap and missing a cap on valve stems. Take your car somewhere else!!!
