Cleaned and vacuumed my SUV inside and out before putting it up on Turo. When I managed to get in to Strictly by Hand auto detailing, I thought it would look a little better. Somehow, they made it gleam. I was extremely impressed.

Super nice people and professional but worse detailing job. I’m actually livid I paid $145 for something I could’ve done myself. Dropped car off at 8 am didn’t not pick up till 5 and the car was still dirty. Dirt in the vents, French fries in the console, stuff in the back of the seats, I could still wipe dirt with my bare hands. Worker asked how we were liking it we stated the truth they continued to clean for an additional 30 minutes with nothing else looking different. Literally the mirror still has dirt on it I will not come here again the most if they could do is offer me to come back but I’m not sure why I would come back to a place that couldn’t get it clean the first time. It is my fault though because I should’ve looked at Google reviews instead of just Groupon reviews. Please save your money and go somewhere else but they are super nice and they handled the situation well but I would’ve preferred to not pay anything since the job was not done correctly.Very depressed after looking at the reviews on here I completely understand why

The company I work for uses these guys for regular scrubbings of our vehicles Im always impressed with the attention to detail that their crew uses while going through cars.

The WORST customer service, refused to give receipt, charged me $300 for damage that they didnt mention at turn-in, and refused to even show me the vehicle that I supposedly damaged. SCAM.

It was my first detail ever and couldnt have been happier with the results. Worked with my schedule for leaving it overnight and pick-up and drop-off went very smooth. Their Groupon deal brought me to their door but the quality of their work is what will bring me back. My truck looked brand new.

Took all day and over night but our car looks great and spotless.

I want to give more stars because I had a good experience a couple years ago, but I was let down after inspecting the detail job this time.I picked up my vehicle after 5:00 which is stated as the time the vehicle will be ready. After waiting a few minutes, they pulled it out of the garage. After driving out on to the road, I immediately noticed that they didn’t latch my hood back (its a Jeep) so it was starting to bobble up and down. I had to pull over and latch it shut.After getting home, my pants and jacket were soaked from the cleaning of the seats. I was happy that they were finally cleaned so I overlooked it. But there was definitely an oily residue that was left behind on several surfaces that I had to wipe down as they were blotchy and clearly not wiped properly.I’m noticing several places that were never touched (photos below). Around the steering wheel, console, etc. I also paid for an engine cleaning and from what I can see, it was cleaned on the top, but on the fire wall and deeper in the engine, oil and mud stains were still very obvious.I am let down by the service I paid for, especially since I am a customer who had a good prior experience. I hope my honest feedback is appreciated and taken into consideration.

Took my wifes vehicle here last year and they did an excellent job. Loved the vehicle my wife loved it cool. This year yesterday actually I take my truck there and it was like it was a different company. Show up they didnt realize the middle seat existed no big deal thats fine they did it after I pointed it out I have patience. My dogs puke smell is still there so they didnt do a very good job. Still dog hair in the truck after being charged for pet hair removal. Noticed today there are still places they didnt clean or shampoo or vacuum. Maybe well try again next year idk but was very disappointed this time around. My truck still smells the same as it did before since its now been sitting all day. I do alot of hunting and fishing so you can imagine why I got I detailed in the first place. As of right now I wouldnt go back. Atleast it was vacuumed out mostly though and the floors were done well.Update today. Did the seats myself today. I sprayed some cleaner and water cleaned with a brush then got my shop vacuum and vacuumed... it was brown foam I saw on my shop vacuum.... thats pretty sad

Overall, I had a good experience and I feel like for the value, I got a job well done. I paid the Groupon price for a full auto detail inside and out. Took a little longer than I was originally told but on pick up I was pretty impressed. Very clean on the inside and they even got out the bug and tar residue on the paint that I couldnt get. I had one small issue that they took care of right away.I would definitely go back and would considering paying more for a little more detail work.

Got my car detailed there, left it there all day. Picked it up in the evening. Parked it in the garage and saved the experience of driving a newly cleaned car for Monday. Looking through my car I noticed dust in all my vents, in the door pickets dust and grime still present, my mirror still had gunk on it, there’s still dog hair on the ceiling and back side of the seat. The job they did was worth 30 bucks... maybe not even that I could pay a 9 year old 30 bucks and I’d have a better detail. What makes this worse is I had a bought a bogo special assuming it’d cover everything. I’d end up paying an additional 149 on top of the 90 dollar bogo cert. Icing on the cake my newly replaced driver side head light is out. This was a terrible experience. I will call to complain and would not recommend this business.

Both cars came out amazing, inside and out! The workers did a fantastic job! However 4 stars were given because one of my cars’ passenger cloth seat was soak and wet! The workers did not advise my husband when he picked up the car and my husband didn’t find out until he picked up his son to go to the gym and his clothes got extremely wet from sitting in the seat. Secondly, my shift cover from my other car was missing after picking up the car! The owner advised my husband that it probably got vacuumed up. I expect to take my cars to a place and for my cars to be returned in the same condition and if not, at least at the minimum be compensated whether it’s a voucher or discount on next service.

Hi Im local car loving business man who tried strictly by hand car detail service, I am really satisfied with what they did.I went to fairbanks from anchorage and yes my car got super dirty after that trip (few million bugs and mosquitoes)After detail service from them my car was looking like when I first got my car.Really happy with it and plan to make this place as my go to place.

I purchased this service through a Groupon. When I booked the appt I was told because it was through a Groupon I had to wait almost a month to get in. Which, for me, was fine. A little confused when I got there as there are apparently two other businesses being run through this one location, making it hard to find parking. Owner was nice, as was the other employees I met when I picked up my car. My car looks great. The windows could be better and one of the back ones has some kind of oily spray on it. I’m assuming Armoral or something like that. I didn’t mind as I can clean my windows, but I cannot clean the areas they were able to get to. I love how shiny it looks on the inside and out. The young man who cleaned my car was very nice and wanted to make sure I liked the job he did.Please remember to tip your detailer. They work hard.

Do NOT go here to get your vehicle detailed. I took my truck on Friday. They had it all day long! We get it back and literally all the did was spray it down with a bunch of armor all and vacuum. I still had food marks on my seats, floor, windshield/windows weren’t done. They also didn’t even wash the outside of the truck! I took it back today all day again. I pick it up and it’s still NOT done. The washed the back of it where there was dirt but my front windshield is still dirty inside and out, inside still was not done! The owner blamed it on new guys and said just wait we will fix it. As I sat in the parking lot I finally just took my truck after a halt hour. When I told Randy the didn’t even shampoo the carpet he said oh we just spot clean! Horrible service and horrible customer service. Don’t waste your time at this place! I just wasted two days!

Do not waste your time even calling to schedule! Worst ever! Like they didnt touch my car, save your money and go somewhere else!

Ive used this place for over 8 years and will continue to use them. Theyre very courteous on the phone and my car always looks immaculate when I pick it up. Ive brought in all three cars Ive had over the years and even my old junker Explorer looked awesome after they worked their magic. They have excellent attention to detail and their holiday special gets me every time! Thanks for almost a decades worth of clean cars!

Randy is great and the guys always do a great job. Made a smokers vehicle smell as if no one had even thought of tobacco in it. Definitely recommend calling the shop to schedule. 10/10

Great place for detailing hand getting firewood

I called them directly before buying the Groupon to ask about their availability as I am leaving town this week. There was no answer, even though I called multiple times during business hours. I left a voicemail and when my call wasnt returned by 10am the next day, I called again. This time I spoke with Randy who was courteous and assured me that if I could get there soon, theyd have it done by the end of the day. Little did I know that **pet hair removal is not included in their cost** and that they would charge an ADDITIONAL $50/hour for pet hair removal. I feel that is a ridiculous amount of money to charge for something that they would already be vacuuming anyway, so I chose to walk away.

Matched a deal off of groupon, got me in and beat the timing I needed by 30 mins. Truck looked great, few tough to get spots were missed, took it in next day and it was solved on the spot no questions asked. Great service, would recommend 👍🏼

Paid almost 200.00 for a full detail went to pick it up it wasnt ready or even complete it was still dirty on the inside and look horrible on the outside had the engine done also it look like it wasnt even touched I also tipped them over 50.00 and even gave one of the guys 20.00 upon leaving for installing my car seat and that wasnt put in correctly the owner is very unprofessional and rude and has as of yet to get back in contact with me please go somewhere else dont do business with these guys

I will not be going back here. Im sorry for the people I originally recommended this place to after my first car detailing two years ago. Where to begin?First of all their scheduling is ridiculous. I took my car in the night before and spoke with who seems to be owner (Randy?). He initially told me it would be done by 5:30 the next day. I asked if there was any way I could have it by one oclock because I had a busy next day (this is was the family van so I needed to move kids around). He wrote on the paperwork it would be done by one oclock.The next day I received no phone calls and tried calling several times around one till 1:30 with no response. We rearranged some things to haul kids around in the second car but it meant making last minute adjustments which should not have occurred. We drove by at 2:30 and they were just barely starting on my car!!!!! Now it wouldnt be done until 5 pm. I called at 5 and it was going to be another 30 minutes. At this point I had no choice but to take an Uber to pick up my car because I didnt have enough seat belts to take the family since the family car was being detailed. When I got there I still had to wait another 15 minutes for them to finish it. No comment from Randy about the tardiness of completing the vehicle. Tried to charge me the $20 for the engine cleaning a second time.Now, the trick to this repeat business at this place is the amount of oil they use on the car. The seats and mats were coated in oil so much that we had to take towels to the seats the next day to remove the excess oil. The rubber mats had pools of oil after sitting overnight in the driveway. The leather seats are so oily you jump in the car and slide right off the seat. Every inch of the interior was coated like this. In just a matter of a couple days my car is going to be coated in dust and be dirty again due to the amount of oil everywhere for the dust to stick to. The dashboard had a visual layer of dust built up just after a night of sitting. So if you argue the dust doesnt cause this, then wiping down the most visual surfaces of the car did not happen.They also didnt clean my retractable screens for the windows. Instead they just put them down and ignored the mess on them.Lastly, when we hopped on the Glen highway the next day, the hood of the van started to shake. When they were done with the car they didnt bother to close the hood all the way. This was the last straw as we had our entire family with four kids in the van exposed to a dangerous situation where the hood could have flipped open driving down the highway!If negative stars were an option, I would provide a negative five star review. This was my second time using this place. They probably did just as poorly the first time but I didnt have the vehicle long enough to know because I had it detailed so I could sell it quickly. Like i said, we will not be using this place again or recommending them to anyone else. Even with the Groupon we used the value is not worth it since they put my family in danger with the hood not being closed.

Thank you Scott! I just bought an old used vehicle and the original owners had three dogs, so the vehicle was full of smells and dog hair. After explaining to Scott that I wanted him to concentrate on the inside (the outside has dents and busted fender, etc.), he was able to work it into their schedule. I got it back a full day earlier than expected!!! And he had done a great job on the interior as well as a good washing of the exterior. Im very pleased with the service and will recommend it to friends.

I bought a Groupon for my parents car as a present for them. You have to book it a couple weeks out as they are very busy during the summer months. The wait was well worth it. They did a fantastic job and Im very happy with the results.Two thumbs up!

Worst detail job ever!!! They had my mom’s car from 8 am until 6:30 pm and still didn’t have it finished. My mom keeps her car immaculate so there wasn’t much to clean. We were the first to drop off our car yet when we showed up at 6:30 pm, closing time, it hadn’t even been washed on the exterior. I asked the owner why it wasn’t finished. He got very nasty with me and told me that I could just leave my 80 year old mother there and it would be finished soon. He never gave me a reason for it not being finished or why the other cars were done before my mom’s. The owner finished several other cars and finished my mom’s last. We sat there and watched them finish 2 other cars while we waited. They left dirt behind on those cars. We watched them wash the exterior of her car in 15 minutes. There was no “detailing” done. Just a plain old very fast wash job.

So impressed by the job they did, I bought the whole team moose’s tooth Pizzas the next Day.Daughter sold the car first person to look at it mentioned what a Great Detail job and payed full price.

Strictly by Hand did a wonderful job on my car! When I picked up my car - it smelled fantastic. There was one particular stain on my seat that did not come up - I was very sad about this - the remnant of a smooshed blueberry (not good for light interiors). Beneath my seats were all spotless. Honest guys too - they found my long lost headphone splitter. I also accidentally left my old iPhone 5 in there - and it was still in there (There are some less than honest detail shops in town - by reputation). I had both all weather mats and the factory mats - they returned both sets like new (didnt think that was possible with all the smashed in dirt from hiking...). Anyway - great place! Courteous owner. Used a groupon - no hassle there - would go back again! They also removed some pen stains on the interior roof of my car (dramatic 8 year old enjoys gesturing while talking/drawing).

I would not recommend this place to anyone ever !!! This is by far the WORST auto detailing I have ever gotten!!!!! There is still so much dirt in my truck! The doors werent cleaned, the center console washt touched at all, my rims still have grime on them, not to mention the mud on the side view mirrors, the bed of the truck wasnt even touched, the bed over wasnt even lifted up!!! I bought this as a groupon, and was charged an extra $50 for pet hair, and there was still pet hair in the truck when I picked it up!This place is horrible! Dont waste your money to go here!!!!!

Did a good job, but for the price, I was expecting a little more. Car was clean, like I spent 4 hours on it myself, but I didnt experience the Just Detailed Feel throughout the whole car.

Awful customer service. Rude, condescending, and unpleasant. I had some change in my car, which they stole. The only thing they did well on was the carpet. The seats still had crumbs on them and were poorly cleaned. The windows were still dirt streaked, the cup holders were all still dirty, the dashboard wasnt cleaned nor the steering wheel post, and the steering wheel was sticky from whatever they​ put on it. When we picked up my car, they complained about having to clean the back window carpet and charged an extra $20 for it, even after stealing my change and doing a terrible job on the car. I will NEVER go back, and will be telling friends and family not to waste their money.

Saw some good reviews on this business so I decided to give them a try. Got my vehicle back later that day and my seats and floor carpet was soaking wet. Its been a week now and my vehicle smells like a wet dog. I would not recommend this business thats my honest opinion.
