Im literally getting evicted because I questioned a retail increase. Ive been a tenant for a year and had to do a rental abatement to get maintenance issue taken care of. They wanted an increase in my rent and I asked to negotiate that based on their performance. Im mentally disabled and on disability and they dont like working with me. So after I got off the phone with the district manager, Diana, it was understood I would agree to the increase and sign a new 12 mo lease. Next thing I know I have a termination notice with absolutely no valid cause as to why. Its 100% provable that I paid rent on time each month and have never had a rules violation or complaint against me. I simply questioned the increase and get people that want to power trip and play demi-god with peoples housing. Really takes a low person to kick a disable person out cause my brain injury makes me excitable.
I have a much longer review to write later, however Im very upset that my deposit has not been returned within the 30 day timeframe and I do not have mailbox keys after a month! That with the roaches crawling out of every single crack in the apartment. I am trying to get ahold of the actual property management company and not one number? Thats very upsetting. If this goes to court I sure hope they find a way to respond then.
Worst place to work, Tim was the only good thing there. Worst property management I have ever seen. Accounting 30 to 60 days past due all the time. PROPERTY that has free utilities for the tenants gets shut off at least once a month. Tenants come home to no power, 90°F + in the apartments all because Peak cant pay their bills on time. You think you will get your deposit back. Good luck, deposit refund you may get in 45 to 60 days if you call everyday and bug them. If you dont call, then they just keep it. Peak Management is holding onto 12,000$ in deposit refunds that should have been turned over to the State of New Mexico unclaimed property. The day they laid me off is the day I turned in a policy and procedures Manuel I have been working on for 11 months since I started working for their business. Prior to that they were operating without one. Sad place to rent from. I recommend Elevated management Group.
This was going to be a very negative review but two of your employees stepped up and went above and beyond!!!! As a company I think you should feel very lucky to have these ladys. Thank you so much Claire Miller property manager at Chelsea Village and Karen sorry I didnt get her last name but she works in your corporate office great job ladys turning a very negative experience to a positive one!!!!! Peak is very lucky to have both of you
I had a good experience with them
Do not rent in any of its complexes. Peak doesnt answer repair requests unless the repair is required by law. Even then, youll wait a long time. I waited six months to get my front blinds (very cheap blinds) replaced. It wouldnt have been so bad but they blinds couldnt be lowered all the way, so everyone could see into my apartment. At night I had to hang a blanket over the window. My elderly neighbor waited 2-3 weeks before her heat was fixed -- and this was in the middle of winter. She was given ONE small floor heater until a professional was finally called in to fix the heat. The maintenance personnel are wonderful, when they come to do repairs -- IF they come to fix your problem -- they cant do anything without the OK of management. Its management that is terrible.. And if you have noisy neighbors -- Peak doesnt care. All it cares about is that the tenants pay rent. Thats all. Call the police in the middle of the night, night after night -- it wont make one bit of difference. Plus, my complex was always dirty. I always had to call the office to get the grounds cleaned up. I couldnt wait to get out of there.
Its always one thing with them one day then another the next. They have horrible customer service skills and there are constant problems all the time with one of apartment complex so stay at that they rent to me. Fix one thing then something else is wrong. I know I will definitely not be renting through this management company again regardless of their complex. Horrible all the way around.
With Tim heading the front desk, Peak Management is better then ever!!!! People like to complain and post a review before they even call to report Issues. Please post only truth and please give us a change to fix the issues. By posting bad comments here and not letting the office know your having these issues then thats your bad. Please dont blast us because you failed to report your issues. You know who im talking about. If i make a mistake i will admit it to the world and make good on it. Maybe you should at least contact thew office about the issues before you blast us on the internet. Please let us know how we are doing!!!!ThanksPeak Management.
Asked specifically before signing lease: any insect infestation problems...never. there are bedbugs in our complex. my apartment isnt infested per se however we periodically find and report them. they say they are going to spray and they dont. also; they dont keep up with other maintenance requests. the laundry room in our complex had a light out for two months and there is always trash all over the floor. peak management sucks.
Im an innocent victim of bed-bugs. I reported the problem to Chris (the manager) more than two months ago at the first sign of a bug. He said, you visited those nasty friends of yours, now you deal with it. So the problem has become much worse. I have been basicly ignored with one excuse after another from Peak management while they indicate that they are looking into things, but never do anything about the problem. The pest control person has come in to my place and ONLY looked At The mattress, and didnt do an appropriate inspection. He stated that he found one bug which was the bug that I caught two months earlier biting my arm. He tells me that bed bugs dont crawl through peoples clothing, or bite pets. These people are a joke! The office is rude as heck, and especially someone named Karen.
Do not rent from this complex. People are constantly being robbed and mail boxes are always being broken into. Theres bugs and its just horrible. Not a safe environment. Would NOT recommend. Office doesnt follow up with what they say.
Mail boxes are getting broken into. There is a cockroach problem. Maintenance shows up uninvited and unexpected. Do not rent from Peak Management they do horrible business!
Bad maintenance and problems take a long time to be fixed. At the time of this writing its been over 1 year and Im still missing a pantry door.UPDATE: Moved out, it will be 3 months since I left in about 2 weeks and I still have not received my deposits. The company is rotten from the top. Avoid at all costs
They SUCK! Thats the bottom line. Managment at Bear Creek Apts. (Chris) asking and forcing tendants for sexual favors. Maintenance selling drugs, Both stealing parts (for Chriss property), tools, and furniture. They got caught falsifying documents and still deny it. The expected tendance to pay for repairs and then by expensive and use cheap parts that was in the maintenance shop to begin with. Everyday tendent asked for the water to be hotter. It was piss warm water the whole time. If you have them as managers for your property then your a fool and if you have them as mangers of where you live then move!!!! If you called to company about maintence then it wont work. The woman at the desk has a husband in maintence and she wont report the problem to anyone. Karen is a big mouth and rude. They are ALL a bunch of LIARS!!!!
