This location has gone down. I’ve been going there for a long time. They changed my oil like usual but the guy forgot to tighten on if the gaskets and my SUV leaked oil. I can’t recall if they fixed it or my mechanic did. Another time I took my SUV for a new battery and they didn’t tighten the holder. Took my SUV home and went out to start it later and it was completely dead. My alarm system was messed up. Called my mechanic and he came in his car and tightened the holder at my house. I went to get an oil change be because I thought I needed one. When I arrived at Valvoline one of the employees yelled at me and told me just watch him as he was guiding me and I yelled back that that’s what I was doing. On Wednesday, September 21, 2021 I took my SUV in to get a lightbulb replaced in my tail light on the passenger side. They looked at it and then they told me that it was an electrical problem they couldn’t replace the bulb. I left, and then I was wondering if I should go to my mechanic because if it might be a real electrical problem. I then hesitated and went to their competitor Jiffy Lube and Jiffy Lube replace the bulb no problem. I was lied to and called them back telling them that I want to Jiffy Lube and they fix it. The manager I spoke to did not seem to care but I did tell them that location 6417 Menaul Boulevard Northeast has lost my business for good. I do not recommend this location Because the employees, it seemed did not want to do their job and I was lied too. Also, the employees are very unfriendly. I do not recommend this location.

Excellent customer service. Serviced our van in less than 15 minutes upon arrival on-site. Staff was very friendly and helpful.They even helped me steer my big rig through their building.

Brought my car into this Valvoline this morning at 8:00...I was in and out in 10 minutes.....told Chris, I would be coming back shortly with my wifes car and asked him if I could use a specific coupon, and he told me yes. Came back, and he pulled up VIN on his computer, and told me I could go about another 2000 miles before I needed an oil change. I dont drive this car virtually at all, so I didnt know...and he didnt have to tell me.....BUT HE DID. He then offered to check all fluids and tires NC while I was there anyway, and they found that her car was 1/2 quart low and topped it off and well as the wiper fluid. Dont see this kind of customer service very much, if at all anymore. This is just one of MANY reasons I exclusively go to THIS Valvoline in Albuquerque. THANK YOU CHRIS and staff and I will be back with my wifes car in 2000 miles!!!!

I went in to a different place to change my oil and they quoted me 45 minutes to an hour. So I left and went into Valvoline and am happy I did because they were fast and efficient. I went in for a safety check and oil change before a Long drive and thank God they recommended I replace the windshield wipers because it rained most of my trip.

Maybe they thought because Im a woman I wouldnt notice that they didnt check anything except do an oil change. Not cool. I just thought by paying more they would take better care of my vehicle.

I had my air conditioner and an oil change done i was happy til my air conditioner didnt work. I found out i was getting a refund but cant even get a return phone call to get that refund back . it dont take alot to pick up a phone n give me some answers.i even got the workers lunch. im not gna put anyones name out therei have stage 4 cancer so i just hope i can get my money back sometime soon .thank you

I paid 50$ for a “Full Service Oil Change” ...I asked the guy if he filled my wiper fluid, because I had a big drive ahead of me. He said, “YES” ...So I left today, in the blizzard, and had to pull off the road numerous times, which was terrifying in and of itself due to the terrible road conditions, in order to wash my windshield by hand, thinking the fluid must be frozen in there, only to find out just now after having it checked that it was EMPTY. I’m sorry, but being lied to, to my face, does NOT go over well. Especially when it then goes on to endanger my life, not only from getting on/off the interstate in such horrific conditions, but also from not being able to see where I’m going IN A BLIZZARD. I highly recommend going anywhere but here.

Father was an ASE Master Tech for 30 years, he swore by Valvoline. Hes dead but the loyalty continues. Ive used Max Life since it came out. Love the product. This location is suspect. One of my radiator hoses had a slice (looked like someone took a razor to the hose, just enough to cause a leak. Tech also left my drain plug super loose, causing a puddle of oil in my driveway. Luckily we put it on a lift and were able to fix before it cost me an engine. The tech up top says you know about your oil leak? I thought she meant the normal weepage on the pan gasket. I said yes. They decided to not tighten the plug to make it look like I had a legitimate oil leak. Legit will never go to this location again.

One of the employees was very rude he seemed very angry and upset like he didn’t want to be there. when we got to the location and asked questions he was very rude an wanted to know “what do we need” in a very rude manner. It seemed like he was bugged about more people coming in to do business, we ended up leaving and took our business else where. Very poor customer service.

Ive been coming to this location for well over 12 years. I have consistently received fast, through and friendly customer service. Not only do they provide a quality oil change but they have also done radiator flushes, transmission fluid replacement and more for me! Fair and competitive prices, and great quality, professional work. I now live an hour and a half away and still make the trip to Albuquerque to get my vehicles serviced here.

The crew that was working at 1:00 pm today June 7, provided above the top customer service, was professionalism during our experience.They Explained the covid requirement and was very apologetic for the process which made us feel very respected and valued! They went above and beyond the average customer service you normally get. There was an attendant who I didnt get his name but he was an outstanding employee and shines for this valvoline location. I did ask who his boss was, he told me Mike. So Mike, You have an amazing crew! Thank you for the service!

This valvoline location had individuals who were professional and went over the top to explain things to us. They helped us get the quality and customer service that is rarely found these days!

There as no wait one day after work, and to my surprise the oil hanged staff was all women. The waiting area was clean and everyone was friendly. My oil was changed, fluids topped off and all of this for a great rate, I would definitely return to this location if I ever needed someone to change my oil for me.

The entire crew was friendly, professional and polite! Great, speedy experience!

This is my favorite location! I came in back in November and was helped by 3 guys and a cool chick - I love that this location actually hired a female #womenaredoingitforthemselves. I thought my headlights were out but really it ended up being a wiring issue. They spent about an hour trying different things to see if they could make my headlights work. Even thought they couldnt get the headlights to work, they didnt charge me anything for their labor- and they put my license plate onto my car for free (I didnt have the right screw driver and had just got my car registered). Best believe I tipped them good! Such kind-hearted employees. I will always go back to this location.

Went in with a coupon for a $20.00 oil change and was told it would cost $89.99 they said my vehicle takes only full synthetic. Wrong! It recommends synthetic blend but also gives other options in the owners manual. I confirmed this with the dealership who have previously changed the oil when it was under warranty. They said it can use regular oil, full synthetic or synthetic blend just as long as its 5W30.My question is why is it so difficult to have the oil changed at places like this? Why are they constantly trying to up charged? Needles to say I left with no oil change and will never be back. They think there customers know absolutely nothing. Last but not least what full synthetic oil change costs $89.99!?! The dealership charges $49.99 and will take a coupon from anyone! Yeah! I learned my lesson! Sorry to the dealership. Save your money and go somewhere else. Read the reviews, over charging seems to be pretty common at this place.

Went there for an oil change and ended up changing the air filter and the battery. A few days past and we’re driving down the interstate and we loose power. Very scary situation to be in. We pull over and pop the hood and find out the “brand new” battery we paid for wasn’t even brand new it was used. On top of that the cables were not even tightened to the battery causing the vehicle to loose power on the interstate. Definitely do not recommend this place to anyone. We were in a scary situation that could’ve cost us our vehicle or even worst.

This is the place on menaul and louisiana for oil change I completely trust them and they are honest with everything up front. I was pleased with the professionalism and kindness!! I will go back!

Its a rare occasion to be beyond impressed with an oil change, but these folks do it every time. The people here work as a team and they are just so great. They enjoy what they are doing and they do a great job doing it. I will never go anywhere else. Props to Sara!

I visited Valvoline on Sunday, September 1st for an oil change. Almost immediately upon starting, one of the techs came up to me and stated that they had broke the top of my dipstick off, and also didnt have the oil I required in stock. They said I could come back at 2pm the same day to pick it up, however I had work and they were closed for Labor Day so I went in 2 days later. The worker told me theres no way theyd already have it in and I would have to wait yet another week. Not only did they lie about the time it would be in, but they didnt even have an estimate for when they would have it. Wont be visiting again.
