Pest defense is reliable. Their product gets the job done. They are super responsive and quick to return if asked to do so. I always like the guys who do the work, usually Chris, as well as customer service over the phone. They are always professional and thorough.

I have been using this company for years and they are excellent. They take the time to lay down a wide barrier around the house, they have controlled my mice issues outside, they have controlled my ant issues inside and out and they are always willing to come back and treat if something happens in between visits. Occasionally they have a new technician that We have an issue with (it happens) and they have remedied the issue ASAP. I would highly recommend them.

Its a shame to have to leave such a poor review because my issue was resolved by the office manager in Deming NM, but i want to make sure no one else has to experience the very very poor customer service from the Albuquerque admin office. When i schedule the inspection over the phone who ever i spoke with was very polite and attentive, she was considerate of our personal schedule and mentioned to me that we could pay for the inspection with a card. So on the day of, the inspector was also nice even though he was a little late, all saud an done and when we asked about payment method he said check is preferred so we wrote him a check. Needless to say our experience was excellent until we had not received a receipt and called the office locally in Albuquerque, this is where everything took a plunge. Bernadette is the local office admin employee who is to blame for such a low review. She was rude right off the bat, I couldnt believe it when all i called to do was to see if she could send me a copy of our receipt through email. She gave me a hard time as if it was my fault she had to do her job. I dont know if my call was the straw that broke the camels back or something but it was shocking especially when everything had been going so smoothly. She told me she only went to the office a few times a week and that when she goes she makes the weekly deposits, so i said ok and she just hung up didnt even get my email. So i waited till after she said the deposit would be made to call back and give her my email and it was the same attitude from the first call, rude and no regard for the impact her attitude has in their customers. When i asked about it she knew why i called, im assuming because she remembered me and my initial inquiry, but right away responded with well i havent made the deposit so the payment has not gone through so your gonna have to wait, she then sorta changed her tone after having been talking over me and i asked about just making the payment with her right then and there, which she did not offer i just happened to ask about. I was being patient the entire time but i was frustrated and pulled a Karen and asked for her managers info so i could contact him directly and deal with him instead since she was being rude and trying to charge us a different amount than what we had made the check for. Finally i was tired of getting the run around and called the office in Deming and spoke to their office manager Becky who was the complete opposite, very nice, attentive, empathetic and actually sent me an emailed copy of our receipt without hesitation or excuses. If you deal with this company you will have a great experience so long as you dont have to speak or deal with Bernadette. If youve read this far maybe you can avoid paying with a check so this same situation wont happen to you.

We used this company for a bed bug service. They did the inspection but never finished the service. We had to pay another company to come and finish the work.They are now trying to collect fees for unfinished work. They came to the office gave us this sales pitch about what a great company they are but they are not worth the money. Which is also over priced. Go to BNY Pest Control, they are better service, price and more professional.

The most unprofessional and ineffective pest defense company in existence. Where to begin... The first visit out, a tech that was constantly staring at his phone broke my property, said “well that happened” and walked off without a care in the world, still staring at his phone. He then lied stating he completed the perimeter spray around the house, and alleged baseline activity for the basic service. Myself and another person observed him NOT do this. He claimed he couldn’t perform certain activities blaming someone else for not sticking his truck. The second visit, I needed the power dusting in the attic that I requested for the first visit and the tech was lazy and talked me out of it for so long I gave up. The second tech at least laid down bait traps in my attic for mice and some in the crawl space under my house. Since that time and several visits later, the tech may or may not even come in my house, they never swap out the bait traps and have yet to follow up to see if my chief complaint had improved at all. Which it hadn’t, the bugs I hired them to kill still roam alive and well. After explaining all of this to their office, I was informed that I’d receive a 50 dollar credit on a 300 dollar bill for services that were incomplete and ineffective. In addition, I was told the reason they didn’t swap my bait traps out every time is because they didn’t make note of them and so didn’t remember. Funny that the bait traps were on my invoice when the second tech installed them. And lastly, they had the frickin audacity to tell me that their company’s position is that “documenting what we do at your house is a courtesy and not required” when I asked why that was my problem. You’d be stupid to rely on these people. Already had another pest defense company come and I had results the same day. AND they didn’t suck as humans. The person I called originally to order services recommended the bait traps and the power dusting, she specified my attic and specified my crawl space as the target of those activities and said the bait traps would be swapped out every visit. But writing down what you do at someone’s house is a courtesy, so I get bad service and management couldn’t care less.

I have used other pest companies before, but by far Pest Defense has the best service. They are quick, friendly, and always go the extra mile. No little bugs in my home. An excellent company for families.

Extortion tactics. Do not use this company. Much like another reviewer, this company claimed to have completed service at our home when we were not home.They claim to have done service in 2017. THATS RIGHT 3 YEARS AGO and they are trying to extort $374.12 from us. We suddenly got a collection company notice out of the blue this past March demanding payment for services that we never completed. We have 6 locked gates on our property and a very angry 70lb pit bull. There is no way they completed anything at our home in 2017. We will be contacting the BBB as well as the AG. Total scam.

I have managed a couple thousand rental properties over the past 17 years and tried several different pest control companies in the initial years. After discovering and using Pest Defense Ive never used anyone else since. Pest Defense has superior service, best prices, and is a very professional company. I highly recommend them! Garret Sego is extremely knowledgeable about all pests and termites. Theyve treated a ton of properties for me, including my own, and Ive never had any complaints.

Extremely unprofessional. I get the impression the techs dont know much about bugs at all, theyre just trained to spray things. The office people dont care at all about you or how you feel about your services. They will just blame you for being difficult because you dont roll over and take their ripoff BS like everyone else.

They came to my house and sprayed without my permission. They did not call me or ask permission and then sent me a bill for $83.06. They will be reported to the BBB and I strongly recommend no one uses their services.

It’s so sad that I watched these people not spray my house! Still charged me twice!! So I cancel service! They never offered to work with me! Not that I would have ever trusted them again! Yet they did report it to the credit bureau I still owed them money!! Just wow!! Make sure you watch them and if they are actually doing their job!

After finding evidence of subterranean termites, we called Pest Defense Solutions, who came out in a timely manner and gave us a reasonable quote for treatment. They were very professional and thorough. After performing all appropriate treatment, they did an outstanding job of restoration of the treated areas. I highly recommend them to anyone else wanting professional and friendly workers who do an outstanding job at a reasonable price.

Pest Defense Solutions were the only ones in town who were able to get rid of our ant problem. Wed used the big name guys and the small, no one had been able to get rid of the sugar ants, but then I called and talked to Justin and he came by the house, treated the inside and outside and weve been ant-free for over two years!!These guys are personable and all the crews do a phenomenal job. Most exterminators only spray a thin bead but Pest Defense makes sure that anything with more than 2 legs isnt coming to your door. You cant go wrong with Pest Defense Solutions!!

We are living in Albuquerque for the summer and had the guys at Pest Defense Solutions come out and spray for roaches. They did such a thorough job, the only roaches weve seen since they came are dead! The technician was friendly and did a great job. We have had a Service Agreement with Pest Defense for over four years and have been very pleased with the service we have received. On those rare occasions when we need extra service (when, for example, an ant hill springs up in an unexpected location), Pest Defense responds quickly when called and takes care of the problem at no extra cost. They also provide a weed spraying service, if desired, at a nominal cost. The employees of Pest Defense have always been courteous and we have no problem allowing them into our house for indoor pest control. Initially this place was great when I had them come out for a one time service and a 2 week follow up. Then the lady who answers the phone made it seem like such a great deal for the money if I signed up for regular services. Come to find out they charge your account every other month for absolutely no work then when you need them to spray again they’ll charge you another $100 on top of the “great deal” you signed up for. This place has terrible customer service when I called to complain about this and let them know this was never explained to me all they said was well if you cancel you’ll have to pay 60% of the cost for 1 year of services ! Also I was told they have thousands of customers and now I know why... they’re trapped in a bullshit contract! I do not recommend this company. This company has no customer service and deserves one star. Next is a complaint to the BBB!

Pest Defense always shows up when they are scheduled. They are polite and effective, no odors, and I dont see bugs anymore at all. They always call to remind me of my appointment and if I am not home when they are scheduled, the tech will leave a note on the back door so I know they sprayed in my backyard and didnt just skip it because I forgot to unlock the gate. I love that.

We have been using this service for the last 3 years. They come every other month to spray and keep the ants and cockroches out of our home. Recently, we had a huge amount of ants inside, and although they were not swarming on food, they seemed to be everywhere, all the time. Pest defense came out multiple times (all included, no additional charge) and finally found the ant home under the rocks in our front yard, and the trail tunneling under our home and coming up into a closet. He worked very hard on a very hot day for nearly 30 min to get rid of that huge colony, and we havent had an ant inside since. Thats just one example of their great value and great customer service. Weve been REALLY happy with Pest Defense. Their exterminators are always dressed professionally, and theyre very helpful and respectful. They come when theyre supposed to, and they get the job done. They beat the (ever-increasing) price of the big-name pest control company, and they havent increased our price in the YEARS that weve been with them. If we see bugs in between services (which is rare), we just call and they come back for free, usually within a day or two. Theyve wiped out a scorpion problem (agh!) and an ant problem, and were really happy.

We experienced, like many places in Albuquerque, a large increase of black widow spiders this year, 2014.Considering having pets and my penchant for working in the garden, we felt we needed to have someone come over and spray. We called Pest Defense and Garrett Sego came over to our home and assessed the situation. We decided to go for a one time treatment and were very happy with the results.The spray itself was pet friendly but we opted to keep the dogs and cat in the house until the spray dried.Garrett and his crew really noticed our black widow webs and spent extra time spraying rock beds and under the eaves. Well call again whenever we need this kind of service.

We had ants, we called these guys, they came out, charged me a price we agreed on over the phone, and I havent had ants ever since. My pets and child had zero reaction to the poison they used, but the ants went away almost immediately

My husband and I were afraid that we had termites, carpenter ants, or some other home-destroying pest. I called Pest Defense Solutions and actually got a human being on the line right away. She was pleasant and arranged for Garrett Sego to come out within the hour. Garret was also pleasant and professional. After thoroughly checking out the problem, he determined that it was not a pest problem and gave a plausible alternate explanation for what we were seeing. Garret did not charge for his time, since he did not do any treatment and said he was on his way back to the office anyway. We will be sure to call Pest Defense Solutions if/when we have problems with bugs or other pests in the future.
