Sylvia is a highly skilled seamstress. I bought a beautiful vintage-style, handmade dress there that Id had my eye on for awhile. It fit me perfectly, as if she made it for me! If I ever need alterations, I have no problem driving across town to see Sylvia because I know shell get the job done and will always exceed my expectations. I have been relying on Seams To You/ Sylvias sewing and style expertise for almost 20 years. I have always been beyond satisfied with the quality of the work. Her baby blankets are a particular favorite in my family and friend circle- ours have been used for 7 years and still going strong!I particularly value that Sylvia provides consults prior to committing to projects and even refers customers to other providers to make sure their needs are met. One time what I wanted was not possible given the limitations of the fabric and Sylvia clearly and professionally guided me through my options. I also appreciate that she is upfront regarding costs and time frames. 5 stars all the way!

Sylvia always makes a miracle happen. She does all of my alterations and fixed my favorite pair of dress slacks that had seen better days. When I got them back they were good as new and I am a happy camper!

Ive been using Sylvia at Seams to You for both odds-and-ends alterations/repairs and large home decorating jobs for several years and I wont go anywhere else. Sylvia is hard-working, thoughtful, honest, and kind -- and great with a needle too! She has hemmed pants, tightened and replaced buttons, shortened a ball gown, and even repaired my daughters beloved teddy bear. Ive also gone to her with two larger home decorating jobs (creating pillows for our living room and creating a seat cushion and pillows for a window seat nook). She goes above and beyond her duty by patiently advising me on what kind of fabric to buy, where to get the best deals on fabric and pillow forms, and telling me exactly how much fabric I will need for each job. And the end result is always stunning! I have been very happy with Sylvia and will continue to use her services myself and recommend her to friends.

I love this place! The seamstress is caring and really gets the alterations done well. She has a funny sense of humor too. I wouldnt go anywhere else for alterations!

I had a couple of dresses that were just a mess the built in cups were all crooked and weird and floating about loosely but sylvia fixed them and now the dress is a knock out to wear..The other dress came down to my knees and she fixed the length where I wanted it and had to sew back on the bottom border that matched the top of the dress very intricate work..The cost was very reasonable for the amount of work. I though I would have had to pay twice what she charged me.. I was very happy with the end result the dress came out amazing like it should have when I ordered it.. Sylvia is so sweet and nice and knows her stuff..I highly recommended seeing her first before you go anywhere else..

Sylvia..... Your Customer service skills suck! My daughter in law walked into your store with her wedding dress for alterations. To embarrass her and tell her that isnt a wedding dress, pathetic and shameful. Money spent somewhere else with someone who is grateful to make dreams come true. Lesson learned. Only getting a star so I can post....

GOOD FRIEND WENT IN THIS PLACE TO GET ALTERATION TO WEDDING DRESS AND SHE WAS SHAMED AND SENT OUT IN TEARS. BECAUSE THEY DID NOT WANNA DO THE JOB. WAS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL COMMENTS MADE TO HER. THERE IS A WAY TO TALK TO YOUR CUSTOMERS AND BE PROFFESIONAL.

Calling someone names because you are old fashioned or narrow minded or whatever, is not only unprofessional but disrespectful! This is not the way to run a business where you are dealing customers. Maybe you should reevaluate your decision to serve the public because you obviously lack the ability to keep your mouth shut when your opinion differs from that of your customer.

I brought in my well-loved (and well-worn) Carhartt jacket to Mrs. Rahner for some repairs. As it turned out, the jacket is near the end of its life span and probably not worth the repairs, but Mrs. Rahner took time to thoroughly inspect it and explain to me the options available. Shes clearly exceedingly knowledgeable, with the highest work ethic. I wont hesitate to entrust her with any fabric repair job Ill have in the future.

Sylvia is the absolute best at what she does.
