They confirmed an appointment time with me then called saying my appointment was 30 minutes before it was scheduled. They said if I can be there in 7 minutes i can keep the appointment. I showed up in the 7 minutes and they said the person doing my wax went on break and couldn’t get me in until the next day.

Whitney was my esthetician and she was wonderful. She answered all my questions thoroughly, did an AMAZING job and has a wonderful and light personality. I went in for a brow shaping and they had a spin wheel that had plenty of goodies on it. I was lucky enough to get the Free Brow Shaping. I also purchased the Break out Box with salicylic acid patches in it. They 100% work, the experience I had was phenomenal. Also, the front desk woman was also very friendly and happy to help. I experienced the worst Brazilian wax I’ve ever gotten. The wax burned my skin, she was not thorough, and didn’t know how to pull the wax off properly. I don’t mind paying $75 for a good wax, but this was not it. It was the most painful/low quality Brazilian I’ve ever had. I usually always go to Waxing the City, but I do not recommend going to this location if you’re looking for a good waxing experience.

The first thing I noticed was how clean the establishment was as soon as I walked in. The services are a little more on the expensive side, but you get quality work done here. Today was my first time visiting and I had Katerina as my esthetician. She was INCREDIBLE! She made the experience quick and painless, while also educating me on esthetics, and various things I can do to maintain good skin-related health and wellness. Highly recommend Katerina for any future services!

Went in nervous & feeling a bit awkward. I was getting a Brazilian done, which I have had done one other time about a year ago at a different business and had a horrible and very painful experience. Katerina was who I was booked with and she put me right at ease with fun conversation and helped me to not feel awkward at all. The pain was also SO minimal, especially compared to my previous experience. She also listened to my wishes to leave a little hair up top but in a nice shape. I am very happy with it come out and how great my time there was. I plan to schedule with Katerina monthly for now on.

Their cancellation policy is a complete scam! I booked an appointment the night before to have a full Brazilian done the next day. 6 hours before my appointment I started my cycle so I called to reschedule my appointment. I was told that since I had a no show 5 MONTHS EARLIER, I would still be charged for half of the service and if I could reschedule within the next seven days I would only have to pay the remaining half. Please keep in mind that it was only a no-show because they dont allow children and I was unable to find someone to watch my baby. I still called ahead and cancelled but since it was after 24 hours, it was marked as a no-show. Due to my schedule, I am not available within 7 days. So now Im being charged for a service that I did not receive and when I go to schedule another appointment I will still be charged full price. Cancellations do not fall off of your record after any amount of time and you are still penalized for not canceling 24 hours ahead even if there was not a full 24 hours between the time that you scheduled and the appointment. Dont even waste your money here.

Every time that I come to this location, I always feel leaving satisfied. Booking is easy online and they always have appointments available. They also accept walk ins. It doesnt matter who you get, they will make sure that you feel at comfy. Last time I went, I had Courtney. She was very personable and made great conversation while on the table. No matter how many times I get a wax, I always get nervous & she helped me! This location is very clean & they are very strategic. They always have great energy even right when you walk in. Ive been having my back and upper arms waxed for years and this was by far the worst experience. Let me be clear the technician was very kind and personable but the quality of work was poor. I sat up from the table and the paper was still stuck to my back because of left over wax and I had powder and wax drippings all over my arms not to mention way too much hair was left behind. I spent over 100 dollars because I would have felt aweful if I didnt tip. Im sorry to say that I will not be a returning customer. I will go back to Jakes Place in Norfolk. Its a further drive for me but worth it.

Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Easy to book appointment online and first time clients get 50% off!! Although I think Their prices are a little on the high end ( $21 full price for eyebrow wax), their customer service was great and the salon seemed clean and well maintained!

I had a great experience the first time I visited this location and told many of my friends about it! I had an appointment scheduled for today at 6pm. I got off work early and drove 30 minutes from my house to my appointment to find out that I can’t bring my child in the room with me. I was only getting an eyebrow/lip wax. I told the receptionist that I wasn’t aware of the policy and she said it changed about 2 weeks ago. I had no choice but cancel my appointment since a one time exception couldn’t be made. It was a complete waste of my time and I feel terrible that the person I had an appointment with missed out on a service and tip. I had no choice but to take my business elsewhere this evening. The entire experience was very frustrating.

I had an appointment and they asked for my phone number to send me a confirmation text. The day of my appointment I get to the place and it’s closed so I call the number that was on the sign on the door. I asked why I wasn’t informed that the store was closed and the lady got an attitude saying that they tired to call everyone who had an appointment but it would’ve been great if I could’ve gotten a text or something like I got to confirm... I don’t answer personal phone calls while working and I left work just to show up and the place is closed just a terrible experience overall

Allegra happily answered all my questions and didn’t mind small talk. The waxing was MUCH less painful than I thought it would be and my brows were only pink for like, 10 seconds! Going into my appointment for my first Brazilian wax, i was extremely nervous ( which is totally normal ). After giving myself a pep talk in the car, reassuring myself i can do this, i walked through the doors and was greeted by a friendly receptionist. I arrived 10 mins before my appointment and was almost immediately assisted by Courtney ( who is AMAZING). She not only understood how nervous i was but she did everything she could to comfort me and make my experience tolerable. I highly recommend this going to waxing the city and ESPECIALLY scheduling with Courtney.

Not smooth, even the first day. Technician wss pleasant but did not check for stray hairs. Having light hair color it is easy to miss a few. Responded to their follow up questions but nothing done to make it right.

My experience was terrible! I will not patronize this establishment again. My appointment had to be rescheduled and only half the job was done because there “was not enough time” and I still had to pay just about the full amount of the job that was supposed to be done. I will never come back
