This salon was voted top 3 in the Capital Region. Very affordable prices and busy atmosphere. Its tucked around the corner from Hannaford, I almost missed it. I got a manicure and pedicure (felt amazing). Staff were friendly and good listeners. Definitely will go back again.

Jimmy did a very good job on my nails! He did the natural shape of them perfectly.Wasnt crowded! Everyone was friendly.1 Week Later: Polish is coming off my nails, already! Hence only 4 stars.

I am from out of town and had a few hours before my flight left from Albany International Airport. I was able to schedule my appointment online. The spa is clean and had a nice vibe to it. Annie did my dip nail manicure and Lee did my pedicure. Both were extremely attentive to detail and provided all types of extra touches to make the experience extra special!

My wife and I have been coming to City Nail for at least 3 years, on this visit during Covid-19, appointments are required. There is plastic shielding between you and the staff at all stations.The staff are all very attentive and work with attention to detail, case in point, during my pedi, I have a scar on the top of my right great toe that has a calus, the gentleman noted that and worked on it.Helen always greets us very warmly and its great to see her each visit.As all reviews for a service such as this, it can be very subjective as to the team member you may have, your past experiences etc but I feel the City Nail team do a great job and I would recommend giving them a try. 11:45 appt.,2 hours later was totally about to walk out. Why take appt if you still take walkins ahead of us. Makes no sense.But nails look good for my daughters medical school graduation.

Sometime this places is Amazing and other times it just very poor service. It all depends on who you get .

They are all so pleasant here! Literally everyone spoke to me. But Jackie did my nails and was amazing!

I did not feel like the tech was even happy to be there or happy to be doing her job. The chairs were very uncomfortable and the place could have been a bit cleaner. Very dusty, you could actually see the dirt in corners. I got an ANC & City spa mani. I expected more but got less but it was cheap sooooo....

Loved it! Had a great experience and will be going back!

I was visiting from Jersey and thought I would stop in and get a pedicure. I wish I could pick this place up and bring it home with me. The best nail salon I have ever visited. There was a wonderfully cheerful woman to greet me at the door... She led me to an open pedicure station w/ massage chair. A man named Jimmy took care of me... Did an amazing and very thorough job... Complete with callous repair and cuticle removal... The hot stone massage was amazing and he really did an amazing job. He realized I am ticklish and was very accommodating to that as well. Overall, excellent service, great hygiene (he opened a pack of sterilized tools in front of me), and aesthetically pleasing. Cant rave about it enough!

Ive been going to City Nails since 2016 and tried other nail salons in between and nothing compares to the other places in Colonie/Albany area. KEY POINTS: Great Staff, nice variety of colours and methods (gel, ANC, etc), Clean business, ALWAYS leaving happy.I have my Cosmetologist license and I observe places very thoroughly, City Nails is clean (could be cleaner with the hand towels as in changing them more frequently). They take good care of their tools, stations, and sanitize properly ESPECIALLY the pedicure areas. The nail techs are usually the same lovely people with some new faces from time to time but theyre nice, professional, do an amazing job Ive never had a bad experience. Sometimes youll have to clarify what you want with the new techs but thats normal for anyone new. Show them pics and they ace that too, I love when they give their thoughts especially with colours and shades (picking out the right nude). I always find myself choosing this place to be my security blanket for my nails, theyre amazing, they listen, they get the job done in a good time frame, great massage on the pedis, and while waiting for your nails to dry (thats the best part)

I wish I could give this place a gazillion stars! I’ve never ever had a bad experience here. This is by far the best nail salon I’ve ever been to. Everyone here is always so sweet and I always leave very happy. I especially love their pedicures (my two favorites are the paraffin spa and the new milk and honey one). I was so impressed after my first visit that I wondered if maybe I was just lucky and ended up with an especially wonderful nail technician, but they’re all great at what they do. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Loved the polish selections here, however the wait was much longer than anticipated!Glad I brought a book because I did initially feel somewhat invisible.

It was my first time here earlier today and I was greeted immediately & welcomed without an appointment. Everything was clean, and the girl who did my nails was fast and very attentive. A little more expensive than where I usually go, but worth it for the experience and not having to wait or spend an excessive amount of time there.

On my birthday, my friend let me to go to City nails. The salon located on near my friend house, so we easily to find this salon. City nail was simple décor as my home. They had massages chairs and plenty of waiting chairs.  I only had to wait a 5 minutes for a pedicure and manicure. The ladies who worked in this nail salon were respectful. I was pampered by their eyebrow waxing. Beautiful and perfect. I enjoyed my visit with City nails .Price in city nails was inexpensive, worth every penny! I stared my nail entire time due to my favorite gel polish. I gave 10 stars for their quality service. I will come back anytime I can!

I came in today for their special City SPA Manicure and I am completely satisfied. They welcome me with great customer service and that made me really comfortable every time I am here. The staffs are careful, experienced. Not only they did a good job but they are also very friendly. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who would like to be treated great with good customer services.

Wow I can’t even put into words how disgusted I am with this place. The man doing my nails was very aggressive with my hands and when I asked him to be gentle he started yelling at me in front of everyone, by far the most embarrassing experience I’ve had in a while

Overpriced for what you get. Got a gel manicure that was chipped within 24 hours. I asked them not to cut my nails short so they filed them down completely instead. For the pedicure I have peeling and cracked skin that I asked her to pay special attention to. She did not and my feet are just as bad. The polish chipped within a day.

Went in the other day after breaking my thumb nail off.. I never usually do acrylics but I was helping my nails grow. So I went in for a fill, nail replacement and a gel polish and let me tell you Eline did an amazing job! She saved my nails, highly recommend her to all that wonder into this place, because she will be my choice every time!

Don’t waste your money or time. My daughter and I had 10:30 am appts on a Sunday morning and we arrived on time. They took my daughter and then proceeded to take three other guests that didn’t have appts. Over myself and another woman who also had a 10:30 appt. We both had to sit and wait for over 30 minutes before they took us. I let the other woman go and I told them I will take my business elsewhere.

Interesting experience, I would give them more stars for the service, but the cleanliness wasnt great. Beautiful job on gel dip CNS acrylic nail color, relaxing pedi, and effectively beneficial chair massage. They were incredibly busy at around 6pm on Saturday night and customer turn over rate was quite high, but they remained T, and fair on time. However the nail stations and floors were not cleaned up in between clients.

Got acrylic nails and the woman continued to pick up the phone, walk around talking to other workers, laugh and just sit around all while she was in the middle of doing my nails. The nails came out uneven, crooked, had her hair in it and marks from when she cleaned my nail up. Do NOT waste your money there.

They do a nice job, have been going here on and off over the years. The reason for three stars is they cost 35/38 for ANC, most charge 30 and they are always out of the colors I want, annoying.

I always get my nails done at LR Nails but they are closed on Tuesdays. I had a nail emergency and thought I would try City Nail since I was close by and had a coupon. Never again! The store itself looked like it hadnt been cleaned in months, the staff had a general air of disinterest in any of the clients or potential clients in the store (one person came in asked about services, sat down with a technician and then got up and left), the ANC color selection was minimal and the person sitting next to me as well as myself ended up with colors shades and hues different than that which we picked, the sterile equipment was set aside and cuticle clippers that were already out of the package and used were used, covered back up and put back in the drawers for the next customer and because they soaked my hands in acetone instead of wrapping my finger tips my hands feel dry and chapped. The whole experience was uncomfortable and very rushed. The two other customers in the store at the time made complaints as well but the staff either didnt speak English or didnt much care. In the end even though I had a coupon I didnt save any money either. My advice, go somewhere else.

I finally got my first gel manicure today and i love it! My nails look so beautiful. The staff are so friendly and did a great job in my man pedi. I will definitely be coming back and the prices are great.

Ive been coming here for about 2 months now, and havent had a bad experience yet. I had my nails done with ANC by 4 different people, and all did a good job. I have ridges in 2 of my nails, and they did a fantastic job covering it up! I got 1 pedicure so far. This was done by 1 of the guys. He did a fantastic job! The massage on my calves with strong fingers really helped work out the muscle cramps from working on my feet all day. I only gave a 4, because it can get crowded at times, and their prices are a bit more than others, but I think its worth it! I recommend this place.

So relaxing! The beauticians wee very friendly, professional, and delivered a quality service. I highly recommend this salon to anyone looking for a great nail spa experience in the area.

Very organized, everyone here is very professional when they work and kind to their customers, staff here honestly over qualified for this job, they make their jobs look a little too easy but at the same time give you a relaxing experience and make your nails look beautiful!

First time there and last time there. I thought it was rather expensive. $40 for a REGULAR manicure and pedicure not even gel. The staff was also not very friendly. Making rude comments about your customers in a different language isn’t polite (I myself know how to speak the language)!!! I wouldn’t recommend going there at all.

They didn’t really talk to me and when I asked for the water to be hotter a comment was made in their language and they al laughed. Now imagine my thoughts at that moment.

I just got my nails done for NYE and they looked really good at first. 4 days later the topcoat on my nails isnt clear, it turned brownish and is peeling off. They look very dirty and beat up after only a few days. I got a full set done in about 40 minutes which is fast, the guy I had rushed. He also wasnt gentle at all. They dont really take you into consideration, theyre more about getting money. I wouldnt recommend coming here.

Wow. I hate this place. First I went there, my nails grown out. I asked for a full set of shellac and asked my technician not to cut my nails. She goes ok. Next she grab the nail cutters and cuts ALL MY NAILS OFF. I said I asked you not to cut my nails she goes they were crooked. OKAY. I went there again after they gave me a 25$ gift certificate to come back. Then I got a woman named Helen. Awful. Throws your hands around like a rag doll. Makes your cuticles bleed. Completely ignores you for other customers. Nails are longer on one hand than the other. This place needs to get their crap together. AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL.

I generally dont make an appointment but everytime I walk in I am helped in seconds. I normally go for a pedi and I dont have a favorite tech with that said they are all awesome. You should try it..

This place is awful! I am so upset about the experience i had! I feel like they are greedy and completely took advantage of me. So i went in there with my 14 year old daughter to get pedicures. She was using her money that she earned from babysitting. First thing they show us is a menu of ONLY there spa pedicures and ask us which one we wanted. Thinking those were the only options, i chose the cheapest one that was 35.00 plus i got the Gel nail polish. My daughter only got the regular nail polish. I also let her know that we had coupons that we got in the mail. So as she is doing my pedicure i tell her we dont have alot of time because i have a birthday party to do that day and i dont want the hot stone massage that this level pedicure comes with. Also i mentioned to her that i wantyyhyyyed the dry skin off the sides of my big toe. Which she can just file with a emery board. She didnt do it and told me, Next time purchase the callous remover, which is extra of course. After its done i see on flip side of menu there is a cheaper 27.00hg option. So she charges me 35.00 +15.00 for gel and tried to charge my daughter the same price. After i corrected her, we each wanted to use a coupon, since we were 2 separate services using our own money and shes says No, 1 coupon, 1 Day! Trying to say were together as 1. Then after arguing with her about that i tried to use the ONE 10% off of 50.00 or more she told me NO, i could only use the 5.00 off which was the lowest amount off on the sheet! THEN after she swipes my card she Immediately points to the tip part demanding i tip her! I handed her a 5.00 bill and told her 1 tip, 1 day! And she looked shocked. I left there so mad and regretting that i even handed that swindler 5 bucks. PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE. ANYONE THAT WOULD TAKE ADVANTAGE OF PEOPLE LIKE THIS SHOULD NOT GET BUSINESS.

Honestly some of the worst service Ive EVER gotten! Spent almost $100 dollars here for them to be rude and have an attitude the WHOLE time! Also dont try to use THEIR coupons here because apparently they dont take them! Honestly this place should be shut down! I had my natural nails painted red and asked for a flower on my index finger and was told no out right.... How am I paying you to perform a job that you straight refused to do!

Went in for a basic pedicure. Was in and out in 15 minutes. Terrible service I over paid for a polish change because that is all I really got. Have been to a great deal of nail Spas this was by far the worst.
