I just had to write a review, normally I don’t but it was really that disappointing. The pictures are deceiving. In no way does the hotel look the way it does . The exterior is scary, especially when they put you way in the back, it’s needs a new facelift, fencing was like if you lived in the poorest part of town . The area where we had to park was sketchy. The elevator is old out of a horror movie . The room itselfFelt like something out of bates motel. The room was dirty, old and we found clothes in a drawer that seems like someone lives in there when it’s not reserved . The beds are extremely hard we actually slept in our clothes for fear of the linen being dirty . The only pleasant thing about this hotel was the front desk they were really nice . Other then that if you need to stay in town you’re better off sleeping in your car .

I would rate this hotel at a zero if I could. After looking at there website along with bookings website I was pleased and decided to book. What the forget to advertise is their pool is out of service. They don’t happen to mention that on any website they advertise through. When I go to check in still unaware that the pool is closed. When inquire about the pool during check in the front desk informs me it is closed. This will not work I have a child who is looking forward to swimming.He says I will not charge your card. Making me believe that my card will not be charged. But don’t worry the manager charged my card. When I call to speak to the manager the never get back to me EVER! Very poor customer service with false representation.

Location offers truck parking! Check in staff are friendly and professional. Rooms are spacious and the bed is large and quite comfortable. Check out was easy as well and I was given a grab and go bag for breakfast. Due to covid restrictions some amenities were not available but this is a great place to stay at.

Room 140:The suite was ok in size, but the negative things about the room were.....the light bar in the bathroom went out and the jacuzzi tub was still dirty but after I bleached and scrubbed it I ran the jacuzzi, out came floaters from the jets(lil hairs and spiders) floating around. Also there was stuff stuck on the couch like gum and some crusty substance on the pillow. And it looked like they did a poor job at vacuuming the floor.I think Ill stay at Hampton next time.

Staff was very nice. Toilet seat was broken. Door for the bathroom had to be lifted up to close it. Did not smell very nice. Elevator was DISGUSTING and pretty sketchy. Surrounding area was dirty and very sketchy. Would not recommend if youre looking for any sort of comfort or amenities. 2 stars because the staff was really nice.

Place looks ran down doesnt look like pictures room was ok. Definitely wouldnt pick again. Checking in person was rude. Wasnt very clean. Sketchy environment homeless digging through trash dumpsters. Toilet seat was even the right one for the toilet hair in tub shower and bed. Elevators didnt work. Hot tub green pool wasnt open over 100 degrees outside. Child didnt even want to enter hotel was just Sketchy all around. Too pricey for what you get. Will never be back.

Well it was dirty. The showers i know were not cleaned cause there were long black hairs all over the shower walls. I also killed as couple spiders in that bathroom. But you get what you pay for. The best thing about the place was how nice the people that worked there were. Other then that probably wouldnt stay here again if I had the choice.

Human hair in bed when I pulled back the covers. Bathroom towels stained/dirty, mold in bathroom, wallpaper peeling, homeless going through trash cans, very outdated. Pictures on website very deceiving.

The stay here wasn’t the greatest. Rooms and service were good. But if you value your vehicle I would suggest finding somewhere else to stay. Ours was stolen from they’re parking lot. It’s been a week and they have security cameras all over and they still haven’t released the footage to the police even after they have requested it. I don’t feel that they value they’re customer or care to help.

Liars Cheats and Horrible accommodationWe were promised a new renovated room and upgraded amenities. We got a terrible room next to a house with dogs that barked all night long. We expressed I was disabled needed a good bed whole reason Why I checked in room. Springs dug in my back all night. Nightmare of a stay

This is a nice old motel. Not an old Motel 6 or something like that. Refurbished rooms are clean and almost as fancy as the Best Western or Hamton Inn. No breakfast though right now but I really dont care. A really good value I found.

Positive: Nothing Negative: The building was run down, the pool was very dirty, the walkways had peeling paint and at best it was a $---/night motel and NOT a $---/night place.

Run down and smells funny! Had to change rooms first night because the air conditioner made so much noise. Low income Apartments in the back are separated by a 5 foot fence. Heard arguments at night and kept out valuables with us.

Room I stayed in for my anniversary was great! The price was a little high but expected. Only downfall and 3 star reason was the fire place and asking front desk to turn it on but got no response back.

Decently cleaned, uncomfortable bed, not updated, elevator sounds like its going to fall apart, overall way too expensive for what is here. It was over 100 degrees today, got here after 9 and the AC was off completely. The room was 95. Now close to 2:30 in the morning and were coming up on 80 in here.Spend your money elsewhere.

The ladies at the front desk were great but I was disturbed when i saw the room wasnt more exquisite after a $200 deposit. The tub has paint coming off, the toilet seat was loose, and the plug in the bath didnt work. Their prices dont match the room! The tv doesnt even have an HDMI port, one of the lamps didnt work Ive been here before but not on this side the older side and its terrible.

Paid for a non-smoking room was given a smoking room. The a/c (and its filter) look like they had never been cleaned. The bed sqeaked and shook so bad when you sat on it I thought it would break. I do not recommend this place

NEVER, and I repeat NEVER stay here. My car was robbed while staying here and never once heard from this hotel (they actually avoided me) stay far away from this place.

I was reviewing my credit card in preparation for my taxes. I found an odd charge for 500 dollars to my credit card last April. I called and asked what this was about and was told there was a room cleaning fee. No one ever called me or notified me of a 500 dollar charge. Apparently It was due to smoking and linen image. I don’t smoke. Merchants are required by law to notify a customer for any charges to a credit or debit card and supply evidence of damages. I would be wary of this hotel and unexpected charges. I am very grateful I used a credit card instead of debit card.

Its five star yes but too much white and it made me feel like I would ruin anything I came in contact with. Put plastic on everything and yeah nice but its not appealing if you have kids ...THERE is no relax..lol

If I could give this place more than 5 stars I would. Unbelievably friendly staff and the rooms are phenomenal. Place doesnt look like much on the outside but on the inside its immaculate Very modern and clean. Not mention the amazing price as well. Will definitely be staying here again!

A bit pricey for the place, but a good choice overall! Near a neighborhood and small park, which was nice for walking the dogs. Clean, very large rooms with a comfy bed and strong AC. A touch noisy, but nothing terrible. The dog friendly rooms have vinyl flooring, which we really liked. Two sinks and large shower with organic complementary toiletries. Best part was the cookies in the lobby and full breakfast (waffles, eggs, sausage, potatoes, hash, oatmeal with or without dried fruit, cereal, fresh fruit, toast, etc.). Very friendly staff, smallish town.

We stayed here for two nights. The rooms were clean and modern. The bed was comfortable. The rates were very reasonable. The staff was very helpful. I would definitely stay here again if I were ever in Yuba City again.

Great staff. Room has nice touches you dont normally get in hotel of this type. Considering the type of hotel, it was overall a great value and nice features. Clean, decent amenities (considering), A++ staff. Only real negative was the bed. It was pretty stiff. The bedding (sheets, pillows, etc..) were good. Just not great mattress.

Rooms were nice, clean and organized. Looks like its undergoing a remodel so the rooms feel new. Bed is comfortable and spacious. A bonus is the included breakfast which is a full breakfast as opposed to the bread only breakfast at other hotels.

Best hotel in Yuba City. Clean, comfortable, well maintained, friendly staff, and a chef prepared hot full breakfast in the morning. I would recommend to all. This hotel is off the main highway and does not have the noise from the street. All the guest I witnessed seemed to be respectful of others and were not long term residents as I have seen in many of these hotels in town. There is a pool and hot tub to enjoy. Price is within reason and the service is superb!

The room was clean and spacious. The other guests were super loud, and with our room facing the pool it was a bit much. The bed was a bit more on the firm side for me but the breakfast was good. Complementary Waters in the room was nice and had a fridge and microwave. If you get if for cheap its worth it but not if you pay full price.

Super nice staff. The lady at the reception made my day foe being so kind. Swimming pool is nice and clean AND has a small spa right next to it.Room is big and clean. It has two doors, one opens to the swimming pool.Breakfast prepares by a chef.Overall a very positive experience.

This hotel is close to restaurants/shops & the staff was friendly. The area was quiet with plenty of parking. The room was nice & clean. It was newly updated with nice modern furniture. The room also had a coffee maker, fridge & microwave, so that was a plus! The only problem I had with the room was the toilet getting stuck after you flush & the shower water kept adjusting hot & cold, but not too bad.

We quite enjoyed our stay here. Price was reasonable . Hotel staff were pretty friendly, rooms were very nice with great furnishings. Only 2 complaints really, housekeeping prior to our stay was not exactly top notch. Due to this we didnt use housekeeping our entire stay. Also the pool and hot tub closed by 10 pm, during summer it would be nice to have these open a bit later. All in all worth every penny we paid :)

This is the best kept secret in Yuba City. At first I was hesitant, as I had never hear of the Bonanza Inn, however I booked it as it was suggested as part of a wedding weekend and I was greatly surprised!!First of all, because we were traveling from out of town I called the Hotel to see if I could get in early...Jeanette, (if I remember correctly,) was wonderful...she was very accommodating and let us into our room well before check in time.Next, the room, although a little dated was huge, clean and there was bottled water waiting for us. That was a nice surprise!! We also had double doors. One lead to our parked car and one lead out to a courtyard type area where the pool and Jacuzzi were. It was also easier to access other family member rooms as we would not have to walk completely around the outside of the hotel. It was great and well utilized!!Now, our bathroom must have been updated as it looked great and there were two vanities...was convenient when getting ready so we did not have to squeeze in...and the toiletries this hotel uses reminded me of the San Francisco Soap Company, just in different, colorful packaging...loved them...forgot to ask about them at the front desk when I checked out as the lotion was great and I wanted to purchase some!!!Lastly was the breakfast...freshly cooked bacon, eggs, sausage, and oatmeal, a waffle bar and several different juices and of course..coffee.All in all, I would highly recommend this Hotel you will not be disappointed!!!

I stayed here mid-week and was very pleasantly surprised by the value. The lobby is well appointed and the staff are genuinely friendly. The rooms are incredible for the price ($50-$60). They were very clean and well appointed. The furniture looked new. The hot breakfast was solidly good but not overly fancy. I also appreciated that they sold snacks behind the front desk. The pool was reasonably chlorinated without being over the top. I would recommend this hotel to a friend.

I picked this location because it has good reviews online. When we arrived to the motel it didnt look like much from the outside, but once inside the lobby I was impressed with how clean and nice and new everything looked. The staff would say hello as they passed by; the front desk was very professional. Once inside the room it looked just like the pictures. Its just around the corner from everything (shopping, restaurants, etc.). Not a bad place to stay.

Honestly loved the atmosphere. The people are great and the service is wonderful. This hotel has the home feel. The rooms are big, clean, and very comfortable. A clean refreshing pool/spa area to relax is a plus. Every day there is a fresh hot breakfast. This hotel is simply the best in Yuba City. I recommend this place to everyone.

Best Hotel I have ever stayed in. The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are large clean and updated. Hotel breakfast is the best. I stayed at the Bonanza Inn while visiting family and I would never stay anywhere else when I come to visit again. Great job Bonanza Inn. The other hotels could really learn a thing or two from you. Unfortunately I missed the breakfast but other than that my stay was great. Had a smoking room and it did not smell like a smoking room. The rooms are spacious and I appreciate the amount of effort that was put into making my stay enjoyable. I rarely feel I get my moneys worth when I rent a room but I feel like I did this time. Next time I wont miss the breakfast, I hear theres a chef.

Older motel but nicely remodeled. Comfortable beds, good size fridge, ice machine serves crushed ice, yeh! Limited parking. Friendly and helpful employees. Breakfast by a chef.

Ive stayed at Bonaza Inn twice, a couple years apart. The more recent stay was in an renovated room with new furnishings. The mattress was extremely comfortable, a bit on the hard side which is perfect for me. Parking is somewhat limited, although there is street parking available and an overflow lot across the street. My room was next to the staff break room, and the staff were vocally very loud every morning and afternoon and slammed the lid on a dumpster or trashcan outside of our window. Other than that, no complaints about the price or the room, and Ive already booked my next stay.

Awesome and comfy place to stay. We evacuated Lake County due the #riverfire. The lady at the front counter got us on 4 rooms at the last second. Breakfast was the best. Still a great place to stay.

This older Inn has been remodeled and upgraded, while maintaining its original charm. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Their breakfast is very good too! Close to downtown and excellent restaurants.

The staff in the lobby was very friendly. The room that my boyfriend got was very clean. We were surprised that they left us water bottles, which it was very nice of them. House keeper was very nice. We would come back here again!

Last year when I stayed I was really impressed with the updated suites and the easy access USB chargers. I also appreciated the Happy Hour and the delicious breakfast. This year we were put in rooms that seemed to have been awaiting updating and I liked them less. It was still very clean and the breakfast remained delicious. I would stay here again but specify the rooms near the office.

I had a great stay here, loved the big spacious rooms. The staff was very nice and very helpful, I cant rave enough about there devine hot breakfast in the morning. Such a big choice of breakfast foods to choose from. And I was very impressed on Thursday, they have Happy Hr. from 5to8 with beer and wine and food the beer and wine is at a good price. If i had to recommend a Hotel in Yuba City it would definitely be the Bonanza Hotel hands down.

The room was exceptionally nice, I especially liked the added touch of the small reading lights on each side of the bed. The linens were in good condition, the desk clerk was extremely helpful and friendly. The bed was very comfortable and the room was quiet all night long.

I met my friends from Reno. We had so much fun.

Had a day long meeting in the convention center and it was frosty cold in there so the AC works well and it was all clean but it is a very old room. Reminiscent of the hotel from the Shining. Decor could use some modernizing.

My wife and I come here twice a year for conventions. We have never had a bad experience here. The staff are always friendly and accommodating, their free breakfast is a full breakfast and its always very well prepared. The rooms are comfortable and always clean. It is conveniently located Close to shopping and good restaurants. I really cant think of anything negative about the place. We stayed at a number of other hotels in Yuba City in years past, but after finding the Bonanza inn it is not likely we will stay at another one, it is in our opinion the best hotel in town.

This is the fourth or fifth time I have stayed there over the last decade. Nice, clean basic motel. The staff has always been nice and accommodating.

The day staff was great, but from there its all bad news. Things like tile floor made the room echo horribly, the hallway lights never dimmed and with short curtains the light fell right across our faces all night, had torn up the parking lot making the excerise room unnecessary on my way to breakfast, only about a block walk. The breakfast staff was second to none, fast, clean, great can do attitude! Food was very good as well, but the two guys doing knew how and did it right. The afternoon/evening check in lady, had an argument about undisclosed deposits and first recommended we stay somewhere else, then tried shouting over my wife to me when she called me on the phone. As good as the morning staff is, I cannot recommend this as a good place, its better than sleeping in your car but only just.

This place was a joke. Horrible check-in. Has to change rooms twice. Woukdnt accommodate ANY requests. Manager is a real piece of work. No extra clean towels. Rooms dont look like pics. Found a weird bug on the bed. Dont stay here ! Garbage customer care and judgmental stuck up staff. The only good thing about this place was the breakfast

I would not give 1 star. Room was dirty. Stains on carpet and chairs. Could write your name in the dust on the hair dryer.beds hard as plywood. Breakfast nothing like it used to be. Very disappointed in our stay. Was going to stay 2 nights but checked out after 1st night.

The staff is friendly. The complimentary breakfast is decent. Those are the reasons I give it two stars. As for the negatives...1) Homeless people frequent the parking lot, digging through trash. A homeless person also attempted to get the complimentary breakfast (and said the other homeless people told her the bonanza inn is the place to get a meal), but was politely asked to leave.2) The room is clean, but not to the standard that places like Motel 6 maintain. See photos.3) The location is next to a liquor store, bail bonds business, harbor freight, discount grocery store, apartment complex (see photos, its the window view), and abandoned gas station. The road is very busy, and every night you can expect to hear sirens.If you are looking for a no-frills, affordable spot, Id recommend this place, but would recommend major chains like Motel 6 or Best Western first.

Dont let sketchy street appearance fool you - very nicely appointed rooms, clean and comfortable. Very nice bathroom. We felt pretty safe there despite dark lobby check in and room with two entry doors, by beds and by bathroom which made sense to park and to get to pool but was a bit weird for safety.

Clean rooms, great service,breakfast buffet by a chef, employees are awsome. Ask for deluxe rooms. Why would anyone pay 60-100 more for a room. In town. You would be a fool. And not even get breakfast.

The room was clean and the service at the concierge was better than a lot of other places Ive stayed. The breakfast had great options - biscuits and gravy! - and decent quality, especially considering the cost of the room itself, which was pretty reasonable. Would definitely stay again.

Fantastic hotel. My family stays here when they visit from out of town. They love it and we can all come visit them. The pool is great and the kids love it. Very quiet and relaxing.

Rooms are clean and pretty well kept, and very spacious. Its a good value for the price. Water temp in the shower is inconsistent and walls are thin, so you hear a lot of noise from the neighbors and the pool area. Breakfast is ok. A little overcooked. Staff are super friendly and helpful.

The Bonanza has an old soul feel with enough upgraded amenities for comfort. The staff was polite and well rounded in hospitality. The bed was comfortable, a great,night sleep for the next day and all it held..

Stayed here for 2 nights. Pros: inexpensive, unit was overall clean, housekeeping staff was polite, plenty of parking. Cons: not enough staff at check-in, property claims 24hr surveillance but cameras only in lobby (but there are signs all over property), pool unclean and unsafe to swim in, hot tub had lots of foam and debris, pool chairs and tables were dirty.Our room was clean but had very dirty floors and probably needs shampooing. After taking a shower we made the mistake if walking on the floor and the bottom of our feet turned black. Our toilet didnt flush correctly due to improper water flow in the tank. Contacted front desk for plunger and had to wait in line 20 minutes because of the earlier mentioned staffing issue. Lastly, there were no garbage bags on the trash cans in our rooms. When we asked for some we were given 50 gallon bags lol.

I was trying to rent the hall for a wedding reception but after we already discussed pricing they changed the pricing and the deal we had before. A ton of BS charges just showed up. I would definitely not recommend.

I have always stayed here when Im in town. The neighborhood is not the best but lets face it YC is not as safe as it once was. A lot of crime now.The rooms are clean, it is pet friendly and I feel relatively safe, specifically in the rooms at the front near the office. There is also a security guard and cameras in all corridors and parking lots.Its breakfast beats the typical Continental breakfast that other places have. Eggs, meat, potatoes, hot cereal, fresh fruit, pancakes or waffles that you can make by yourself. Cold cereal, Coffee, juices, teas. But you may not take their plates to the rooms. Staff are pleasant, polite and professional. The reason I gave only 3 stars is that just a couple years ago the Bonanza switched management/ownership. They remodeled a bit...nothing huge..then just about doubled the price!! Not too long ago I booked a room for $74. I can understand increasing the price a bit, but double? If I am going to pay that for a 2 star place I might as well go to one of the 4-stars for $40 or $50 more.Overall, if youre passing through town I would definitely recommend staying there for all the above reasons. The other 2 star lodging in town is not desirable.

You think they could put some of the money they are saving with no ice no breakfast and no pool maintenance they could do something about the bugs and the state of property

This place saved my partner and I one evening. We were looking for a cheap, pet friendly room but with some basic standards but nothing too fancy. Bonanza delivered that and then some with fresh water bottles, fridge and ironing board, more outlet than any other place Ive been. I highly recommend for the clean showers, clean, fresh smelling carpeted rooms with some modern style, personal recliner with the foot rest. The last place we went to at the days inn was pretty bad. The only reason i gave 4/5 is bc of the bad carpenter work in this hole in the ceiling pictured below and theyve could have given the bathroom alittle more space and upgrades.

My boyfriend travels a lot for work and this is by far his favorite hotel in the Yuba City area. The service is great, the rooms are clean and comfortable and the breakfast is hot and served by professional staff members. Would recommend to anyone on the road.

Rooms are outdated. Beds are hard as a rock. Smoking is allowed on patios and in the pool area, so every room smells. I had a room on the main floor with a jacuzzi tub. One night, the people above me emptied their tub, I heard a noise in my room and saw that bubbles and water from their tub had flowed into mine. So disgusting!

It is a decent place to stay for overnight . Plus it has a fantastic breakfast
