I spent $5000 on my 1997 miata to rebuild the enigine. It took them 5 months. Dropping it off in may and picked it up in September. When i got my car back is was still blowing a lot of smoke. I fill it full of oil and was low 4 day later. So it burning alot of oil. They said they didnt change the piston rings. And i would have pay for them to redo all the work. I dont have the money for that. And i only payed $2000 for the car. So i cant even justly spending $10000, even if i could afford. Which i cant. They would not give me any discount on the work they had to redo. So if you chose to go to mallen and they mess up or dont fix your car. You will still have to pay for it and repay the labor too if you want to get it fixed. I feel I have been scammed.

Was told it was filter issue, said they ordered a new filter. Said they installed the part in question. Not two days later the same issues returned with more problems. Still not sure why ac/heating controls had to be broken in the process.

Now I know why everyone loves Mallens. I just had my brakes serviced and they came in under what they quoted. I am back on the road and I will definitely use them again. Mike was very knowledgeable and honest. Kevin and Jodi have a great crew!
Several weeks ago, I took my truck to Mallen’s for repair. 4 WEEKS later, they told my my truck was ready. I paid the $1200 bill and drove home. The next morning, my truck wouldn’t start! I went to Mallen’s and the service manager said he would talk to the mechanic and get back to me with a game plan. Two days passed... Frustrated, and going on 5 weeks without a vehicle, I decided to take my truck to Dodge for repair. Within hours they had diagnosed the issue and I had my truck back in a few days. My truck had been misdiagnosed by Mallen’s and the $1200 I spent did nothing to address the problem. I went to Mallen’s and was told that the owners were in Hawaii for the holidays and that I would have to wait for any sort of resolution until they returned. I stopped by Mallen’s today and spoke to the owner, Kevin. This interaction was the single worst customer service experience I’ve EVER had! He was irritated that he had to talk to me! He made excuses and complained about how much money it had cost HIM to work on my truck. He blamed Dodge for not selling him the correct part. When I asked for my money or some sort of resolution, he laughed and told me there was nothing he could do for me. I told him I would tell everyone in town that he took my money. He said I was threatening him and he asked me to leave! I have been understanding. I have been patient. But now, I’m angry! Save yourself the hassle and $$$$ - AVOID MALLEN’S AUTOMOTIVE!!!
My car was running rough and there was a light on. My neighbor told me to call Mallens because they were the best. I called Mallens and they got me in right away. The man Michael was so nice to me and I waited while they looked at my Honda. They fixed my car and Michael explained everything to me so that i could understand it all. I will definitely be coming back here again. Such nice people and a nice office.

What a shame of a business. After my Aunt dropped her car off, she never received a quote on how much it would be..... they charged $350 in LABOR for a whole lot of nothing.... to replace a coolant reservoir, 3 bolts and 2 hose clamps.....lol and to do an oil change...... Word of advice, if you don’t know much about cars Please please do yourself a favor and go to a honest and respectable shop; like this one used to be. My family has been using Mallen’s for the last 10 years and has spent thousands upon thousands of dollars here. To sum things up this is why a lot of 2nd generation Businesses do not make it. Please beware of doing business with Mallens automotive.

Im actually surprised this guy is still in business. Must be paying people to give a 5 star rating. Took my truck in cause check engine light was on and wouldnt pass smog, mallen tells me it needs a new computer so i say ok and end up paying for a new computer and paying him to install it. When i come to pick it up he tells me that ill need to drive it for a few miles to get the computer to set.......(this is after he drove it himself and tried to set it). Well again i said ok and paid the man and took my truck. 2months go by and it still hasnt fixed the problem so i take it back into mallens and calmly explain that my truck is still having the same exact issue as it was when i brought it in the initial time and that i would like something to be done about it. Well after i told him that he then began to make personal remarks regarding my age (which Im a grown man) and other remarks about me jerking him around...? I dont know where this came frombecause everything leading up to this visit went smoothly. All i know its that if i ran my business in this manner i wouldnt have work.Bad costumer service, doesnt stand behind his work, terrible people skills and dont count on him correcting his mistakes. Joke of a business IMO
