Tech didnt find any problems for freezer running constantly. Advised on ambient temp may cause this. No repairs done. Would have been nice to cut the $170.00 service charge down some.
I called for a Dryer repair the charge was 100$ just to get the guy there. The repair guy calls and said he could be there a bit early to my appointment that was fine. He gets here takes a panel of the dryer pokes around the dryer vent line. I told him I had already cleaned it trying to figure out why it wasnt heating. So he tells me that it is the Dryer vent that is clogged anyway good way to listen guy? Turns it on and off a few times and says it is working fine puts the panel back on and leaves tells me my 100$ will be used on a follow up appointment What??? Never again ever!!!! I called the local guy in my area came over the next day and fixed it for me in 10 minutes. a loose wire. Big time scam.
Sears repair service sent a repair man to fix and inspect my dishwasher. He was Courteous, efficient, on time and safety above all. Thank you for your professional service and attitude.
I paid $169 for a diagnosis and a few pointers on doing the repair myself. the repair took me about an hour and saved me about $240. The repair man arriving past the time window is the only reason I have for not giving 5 stars.
Called for oven repair with model and serial number and said it needed a new control panel. Tech came out to tell me the part was unavailable and took my $129. And left. Could have called to say part was unavailable. Value money over customer service. Called main office said they would rebate the money and email me. Never heard from them over couple months now. Just lost a good customer and big recommendation from me.no wonder sears is going out of business, money over customer service. Sweep it under the rug !!
Diagnosed the problem and had the parts to fix it in his truck
I appreciated the explanation of the work on the tractor as I am not usually the one to have it serviced. The service man was very personable and efficient with the service. The only problem was with the process of being billed. My credit card was rejected at first and then we tried a check which was successful and then back to my Sears card. I then got a fraud alert on my Sears Card. He said to be sure to check on my bill that I wasnt charged twice. I will follow-up. There must be an easier way to pay out in the field at a persons home. The service technicians were good both on the diagnosis and the repair. Sears Repair stonewalled for almost three months claiming the part needed was on back order (available on the internet with a simple search). Over the months of waiting spent over four hours on hold waiting for the no-existent customer care to approve either repair or replacement of my machine. Sears extended warranty seems to be a warranty in name only, plan on a long wait for service.
Im usually not one to write reviews but this has been the absolute WORST customer service experience I have EVER had. We purchased our fridge about 18 months ago. It stopped cooling last month. We made an appointment and a Sears Appliance Repairman came out and diagnosed the refrigerator fan as not working. He ordered two parts to be delivered to our house and made an appointment for two weeks later. He said parts usually come in before then. It has now been over a month and our refrigerator is still not fixed. We have not received one phone call from Sears. We have called at least a dozen times and emailed their customer service department. No one has been able to help us. We finally got ahold of someone today who could help only to tell us that our order has been cancelled. Whats more is they have refused to waive the diagnostic fee, offer us any kind of discount on the repair, or in any way make up for their horrendous customer service. I would NEVER recommend this company in any capacity, in fact run in the opposite direction.
Do not buy from these people, Do not buy the extended warranty, LG Kenmore, under warranty, under the extended and we have been beating our head against a customer service joke for 3 months. Try and repair our selves, look up the part from Sears, $216,,try to get Sears to repair,,no have to buy the part through Sears at $341,,,after our special up the rear discount! But wait I am looking at Sears parts, says right here $216, Stone Wall, My wife is in tears, HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE, NEVER AGAIN. I wouldnt buy a damn shovel from these people.
Technician possessed high level of product knowledge, and diagnosed the malfunction in minutes. the pump was malfunctioning. He went out to the truck, came bsack with a new one, and then installed it.He had a pleasant, friendly personality, contributing to making an unpleasant situation less unpleasant.

Sears has changed the service so the repair man no longer comes to your home. They picked up the riding mower and took it to their shop. They called and said that the $800 in repairs to the deck were not covered on our protection plan. We needed the whole deck and spindles replaced The spindles were replaced before and we just paid for the parts. It was not that expensive. Sad that the service is no longer preformed at our house.
The repairman that came was masked and nice. It was a simple problem. He explained how to reset it next time. However, the repair was very expensive. $167 for a 10 minute repair and no parts.
The repairman was on time and quite cordial. The problem was diagnosed as a faulty door switch, which was replaced. The repair worked for one load of wash and then the same problem occurred. A different repairman came out the next day and indicated it was the door switch and a faulty circuit board, which they had to order. The repairman did provide a stop-gap solution and said to unplug the washer after each load, that way faulty information was not being sent to the circuit board. Were still waiting for the circuit board to arrive. The rating would be higher except the problem was not correctly diagnosed the first time. We will still use Sears in the future.
We purchased $8000 of Kenmore Elite Appliances for a kitchen remodel. We did so because the Sears salesperson said the Elite series is “top of the line”. After just 3 years the compressor failed on the Elite/LG refrigerator. I called for service and the compressor was replaced “under warranty” but I was charged $445.00 in labor. This is unacceptable because I learned that this compressor issue was under a “recall” and has been a problem for years. The warranty clearly states that labor is not included. But recalls should be handed differently. When you get a “recall” on your auto for a faulty issue/part, does the dealer charge you labor? I think not. I’ve even heard there are lawsuits against Sears/LG on this issue. I called Sears service and got “crickets” and no return call (as expected). Wonder why some Sears locations are closing? Unless the $445.00 is refunded I will never shadow the door of a Sears store again and never buy or recommend Sears again. I’ll bet there will be no response to this review!
Reliability of technicians to show up for scheduled appointment has been very poor. Ability to correctly troubleshoot and fix the problem on the first attempt has not once been successful. Deeply regretting ever buying a Kenmore Elite refrigerator 2 years ago.

I received an e-mail from Sears that our replacement TV would be arriving between December 24 and 30.Fedex attempted to deliver on Monday, December 23!!I called and arranged another delivery Thursday, December 26. So they tried again on Tuesday, December 24!Because I arranged a delivery on Thursday, December 26, we stayed home all day. No Delivery.So I called Thursday at the end of the day. They would look into it.Someone named Tim called me Friday, December 27, and said the TV would be delivered Saturday, December 28. We stayed home all day. No Delivery.When I checked the Fedex website Saturday afternoon, it said our delivery would be Sunday, December 29. We made sure one of us was here Sunday. No Delivery.Now it is Sunday. Still no TV. I am sad.We were able to pick up the TV Monday. It does not work.
Called and set up appointments for dyer repair 4 times. No show 3 times, and got cancelled the 4th time. Pathetic, lowly service. They deserve going out of business.
When I got home from work Friday evening, I heard a loud noise coming from my refrigerator which I assumed was either the compressor or fan. It was still cold, so I decided to leave it turned on for the night and call a repairman in the morning. By the time I woke up, it had completely stopped working - there was water all over the floor from the ice melting and dripping out of the front dispenser. Also, I now smelled what I assumed was the refrigerant, so I turned off the circuit breaker and scheduled a service call. The earliest they could come out was the following Monday, which I actually thought was fairly quick. I left work early to meet with the serviceman (Jose) who was courteous and careful during the service call. He found that the compressor had gone out and that the evaporator coil was leaking oil. He noted that the oil was clean (a good sign) which meant that it was likely repairable, but that we wouldnt know for sure until they cut open the dryer to see what it looks like. He indicated that this had to be done at the time of repair but couldnt clearly explain why this couldnt be done right away. So, he charged me the requisite $85 diagnostic fee and left me with an estimate for repair of just over $800. He told me that it takes about 5 days to get the parts and approximately 3 hours to do the repair. Rather than purchase a new refrigerator (ours was approximately $2,500), I decided to go ahead and schedule the repair for the next available time - the following Monday between 8:00 and noon. Since the repair could start as early as 8:00 a.m. and end as late as 3:00 or 4:00 p.m., I took the entire day off work. A different serviceman (Miguel) called me at 10:30 to tell me that he would be here between 11:00 and noon. He showed up at 11:25. To save time, I had already pulled out the refrigerator. Miguel spent approximately 10 minutes going over the notes from the diagnostic call and looking over the quote that Jose had left me. He then took a phone call which lasted about 5 minutes and then asked me for some paper towels as he went out to the van to get something. He proceeded to tell me that he would open the system to look for contamination. It took him less than 5 minutes to open the back of the refrigerator and cut open the dryer before telling me that it couldnt be repaired because the system was contaminated and that they couldnt warranty the work. I gave one star strictly because there is absolutely no reason that Jose (the first serviceman) couldnt have spent an extra 4 or 5 minutes to make that determination when he was here a week ago. By this time, I had been without a refrigerator for 10 days. Had the determination been made during the first service call, I would have purchased a new one by now and would have only been without for 4 or 5 days.
I had another wonderful service/repair of my Craftsman riding mower by this technicians from Sears service, this time by Avi. The service was expertly done and very fairly priced. Thank you so much for the 5-star service!
Great service and very professional. The service personnel and the scheduling office work together seamlessly. No problems with anything. They ordered the appliance parts and had them shipped directly to our house then returned to install. Parts arrived on time and service personnel arrived on time. I would highly recommend.

Was charged, no Labor or service was performed or diagnostic. The tech only came to my house to tell me Sears could not order they part and I will need to go on the web to located the part. However, the did give me the part number. Sears could have told that over the phone since I provided the model and serial number.
I should have repaired this drive belt myself, but it was a luxury to have a repairman come out to the house and do it for me. This doesnt mean that I had to get ripped off though. Although the repairman was very courteous and explained what he was doing through each step, I was charged $15.00 for instruct on cleaning vent. He never mentioned anything about keeping the vent clean, so why should I be charged for this, and why $15.00 for him to say 4 words. I was also charged $36.42 for the Whirlpool drive belt, which is $18.19 on the Whirlpool web site and $13.39 on the Sears web site. Moral of the story: Do it yourself!
The technician arrived on time and was dressed appropriately. He had to get a part and returned when he said he would. The fix took about 15 minutes and he found a part that needed replacing and he also replaced that. I am very pleased with the service I receive from Sears.
Our family bought a new refrigerator about 6 months ago, and it is already broke. Its now been more than 2 weeks and the part still hasnt been delivered to make the repair. Imagine the amount of ice weve gone through! The internal fridge is registering around 70°, but the freezer seems to be working. Worst service. Were still waiting on the part & repair!
I would rate my service 10 stars if I could. My technician was awesome. I expected a clean bill of health when he came for my yearly maintenance check up, but he found some issues I was unaware of. He found mold! I was shocked. He explained that I needed to be sure to scrape food off the dishes, run hot water in the sink and run the garbage disposal before starting a cycle in the dishwasher. To remedy the problem, he recommended putting a bowl of vinegar in the dishwasher once a week for a month and running it and then doing that every month thereafter. He also found some problems I was having with my refrigerator and showed me how to simply remedy them. He was excellent! Well worth the cost of the maintenance agreement.7/20/17Update. My washer wasnt emptying and had to be put on an extra spin/drain cycle. Steve, my technician, diagnosed the problem immediately. He ordered the needed parts and scheduled a follow up appointment. I was relieved he was the one who showed up to repair it. What put him in the exceptional category was the care he took with my home. He had to take the machine through my doorway and he was so careful not to scratch my paint. That doesnt sound like a big deal, but it really is. My machine is working perfectly again and my doorways are scratch-free. I am so happy with my service and my technician. Another 10 star service call.
We were very disappointed to learn that this was merely a check-up, not an insurance policy like i have for my treadmill. We were hoping that this money covered repairing and maintaining any thing that was wrong. We needed the dryer door to be turned around and the maintenance guy said that he was not allowed to do that. So, this is not a maintenance visit since he could not help maintain the appliances... just look at them and tell us what was wrong. We wont be doing this again.

I spent $340.00 for a guy to replace a $90.00 part in less than 30 min. Costs way too much. The guy was super nice, but will not be using them again unless they lower their inflated costs.
ON AUG 15 REPAIR WITH REFURBISHED PARTS. [failed] recalled on Aug18 for fix. Was told Sears uses REFURBISHED PARTS FIRST.[cost save for Sears] return trip made and new unit put in 0n Aug19. Works great. Service tech Miguel was very professional and helpful. THANKS!
Technician was friendly and helpful, but basically all he did was help me pull the dishwasher out to verify if the outlet was defective and they ended up charging me an extra $200 for a cord repair. I feel like they could of just went with the service call charge of $59.00, since it only took 10 minutes. In my opinion Sears has always had a reputation of over charging. I will think twice before I call again.

Repairs completed quickly & accurately, as always. I really lucked out, as the service technician was already scheduled in my area so I received same-day service. Unfortunatly, had it not been a warranty repair, the first appointment would have been over a month in the future, so I lucked out twice.
Our washer stopped spinning. We contacted Sears Appliance Repair, they tested the system, as it could have been 3 things causing this. They found the culprit, replaced the part and were very professional. We are back to washing clothes again, thanks to Sears efficiency!! Thank you!

My experience has been the worst ever. My appointment was rescheduled at the last minute (waste of day number 1). The rescheduled date was only to determine what part was needed and ordered from across town. At least the repair person way very helpful. Waited another week for the parts to come in. Once they arrived, I immediately called to schedule the installation without communication from Sears. Was notified the day before by a machine the scheduled day was the next day. Took that day off. Looked online to see the arrival time and found it was scheduled for the following day (wasted day). Was given $30 dollars to spend at Sears in compenstion.Please have trained people on the telephone to help diagnose problems so repair people can come with needed equipment so my four days are not wasted with another customer.
My repairman was terrific...not only did they come promptly and on time...the parts needed were ordered up and he drove back on the same day and completed needed repairs....and he fixed my old washer with new baffles and.fixed stuff that he saw that needed repaired ...a first rate job.

We called Samsung and got help over the phone from them........now hoping it will last. Ask Sears for THEIR technicians if they still have them, not contracted technicians.

Have had repairman out twice for same problem. On the highest setting on my refrigerator temperature was barely holding at 40 degrees. The first time he had to order a part which came to my house and took a week. Then waited another week for him to install part. Problem not fixed. Was still doing exactly the same thing. Waited a couple days to schedule another appt. to see if there was any change. Same thing. Ordering part that will take a week and another week to install. If youre keeping track thats more than a month of dealing with this. Luckily its still working sort of and not completely unusable because I would be without a fridge all this time. I would think a Sears repairman who knows what model hes coming to look at would have basic parts for that fridge. I have the extended warranty so all these appointments arent costing me but still not super pleased so far.
Our refrigerator repair tech said the fan was working and he reset the mother board. Three days later the refrigerator had the same problem. We could not hear the fan working. No service tech available for five days. While we wait, the temperature continues to increase. Luckily, the freezer is keeping food rock hard. We have not been happy with this Kenmore product.
They canceled on me but didnt notify me till 3pm. My wife had taken the day off.Called back talked to supervisor rescheduled and let him know we wouldnt br home till 515 because we have to work. Told me thats fine no problem.The guy shows up at 4pm no one is home and he left. My wife calls me at 510 days no one is here. I call to confirm he still coming and they tell me yes . 615 I call back and thats when I find out he came at 4.Supervisor acted like she didnt care. Said I have to wait another two weeks for them to come out. So its gonna be like a month to fix my refrigerator all they offer is 25 percent off.These people dont care dont want to help and wasted my time. Super unprofessional.

The Technician was great and very capable. I cannot say the same for the scheduling to repair my lawn tractor. The first appt. was 5 weeks away, asked mgmt if they could improve and interval was reduced by 12 days. Long waits when calling in and believe understaffed in scheduling and service techs. 5 Stars for the Technician and ZERO for scheduling and the management team. Long time Sears shopper and this was absolutely a terrible experience except for the Technician.

The repairman was good that came do just the maintenance on my Heater.. my problem is I was emailed and stated the fee would be $69.00 ..... not the $129.99 that the Tech was told to charge me..Very disapointed.. He didnt have to do any repair work.. I will not use Sears for my AC maintenance in the spring time.

I made an appointment for June 26 and receive a email from Sears for Monday the 26th of June conferring the date and time. when checking my email I there where two appointments one fro my home and one for my work. I canceled the one for my work and Sears canceled the one for the home. after two days of calling Sears I got an appointment for the 27th at 4:30 t0 6:30. then I got a an email saying my appointment was for 3:30. I had to take time of work do to Sears. after the repair was done it took 10 trys to get there system to take my card( yes the card was good from the start) now looking at my card statement Sears is billing twice. The workmanship was done well but Sear office needs to better Trane the staff. all the emails and phone call were for not.
I wish I could give 0 stars. I called sears 3 days ago and scheduled an appointment to have my stove repaired which started leaking gas and pge couldnt repair the issue. When i made my appointment i asked if i could have someone come out after 3pm because i worked all day. When i got off work I had a missed call from the repair man with a voicemail saying he couldnt wait for my time and left the area since he couldnt get me on the phone, even though i specifically told them i work all day and wouldnt be able to andwer the phone. so I called and told him everything I told the scheduler and asked if he would be coming to my home for the repair since I scheduled 3 days in advance. He tells me he has to speak with his manager, he then calls me at almost 5p to tell me no one can come out. He is aware I have a gas leak, I had to wait 3 days for the soonest availability and then the repair man flakes on my appointment and then leaves me with no time to call a different company for an appointment. That tells me that sears doesnt care about their customers, I literally have a dangerous gas leak in my home that i can do nothing about and they flake on my scheduled appointment? Im done with this company. Dont waste your time making an appointment.

The service tech did an excellent job in locating the source of the leak in our refrigerator and making the repair. However, the delivery of the needed part got messed up and this delayed the date of installation by over a week.
The refer is still making noises like an airplane. I have had 2 techns here and it is still a mess. If this is not taken care of I will not renew my maint agreement. Disgusted Paul McDaniel

We called the other guys and came out look at our refrigerator and told us we needed a certain computer part for our Whirlpool Refrigerator and said it was on back order and well have in 7 to 10 business days. 12 days later and and a few days before Thanksgiving they said they havent received the part yet. I told my husband to call Sears! We received the part in five days and a Sears repairman came out and installed it. Calls Sears!

I wish to remain anonymous because I don’t want to contacted here I just want to warn people . At tech named Jeff W. 647339 came over recently for my washer . He told me I would get a free warranty if i get the repair on my washer . Sounds a bit shady but who does not like free . So I get the repair that, unfortunately never worked . So I call back to get service again I told the person on the phone I bought the warranty . I was told I had no warranty, so looked at the receipt he gave me and sure enough there is no listing for a warranty . Plus the price the receipt shows what I payed is about $50 less that what I actually paid . Well he insisted I pay in cash so there is no record of a credit card or a check . Sears on the phone said there is nothing they can do because I was not supposed to pay in cash but their records show it was paid by a credit card, just not my credit card . I may have to go the legal route on this one . So buyer beware if you call sears for service . Do not let this Jeff guy in your home .
