I have done business with John Burger off and on for over 10 years. They installed a HAVC unit in one of my homes and have upgraded another in a different home. I have found them to be professional and reliable. I gave them a 5 Star because that’s as many allowed.I highly recommend this business.

They overcharge compare to their competitors by a quite a few hundred more well at least that was my experience. Customer service is extremely poor the ladies that pick up the phone have attitudes. I wouldnt recommend.

Knowledgeable and professional. The technicians came and introduced themselves and got to work. The first tech checked everything out and repaired what he could. Two days later, the second tech came to finish the job but explained that one more part is on its way. Im glad it wasnt worse being an old system.

My AC went out last week and stopped cooling in awful California August. I was able to get an appointment next day. Technician Tim was wonderful. He found the problem quickly and explained the cost and function well. No fuss or hassle. I will definitely use this service again if needed.

Several years ago, in the midst of a heat wave, our AC system died. At that time we were caring for my mother, 90 years old. John responded to our urgent call and within two days we had a very efficient new heating and AC system at a very reasonable cost. I couldnt more highly recommend a business to take care of your needs.

If they would let us choose 0 star we would.They look the part but trust me they are NOT...Real nice, real friendly, but RIP off artist all the way. Stay clear of this company, they told my grandma she needed thousands in repairs and that she should replace her ac? After calling 2 other local company they both said same thing bad capacitor??? 150 bucks and no more issue. Wow way to go burger heat and air.

Our A/C went out the hottest weekend of the summer and Burger Heating and Air made it as pleasant an experience as possible. Trey Burger was amazing to work with. He took the time to explain our options and figure out what would be best for our house and family. I trust them 100%. Everyone in the office was great to work with as well. It seems as though as the home gets older the cost of repairs goes up! We were SO pleasantly surprised today when we had our heat/air unit serviced! We were having a problem with our fan continuing to run. Trey explained what was going on (in terms we could understand), he and Matt fixed the problem and gave our unit a much needed cleanup. The price was so reasonable I was happy to write the check. We will only call Burger Heating and Air in the future!

Very good experience with John Burger. I called and he came right out for an estimate which was reasonable, he was 5k cheaper than one other estimate. I also asked about HVACs in Yuba City and John Burgers name kept coming up with a good reputation. Choosing his service I was pleasantly surprised with the service from both the office and installers. The office was kind and patient with my questions and the installers were timely, efficient and clean.

I was the contact person at work many years ago when John was a one man show and I was always impressed with his can do attitude. Fast forward to today and I was tired of worrying about a 41 year old system that had long ago exceeded its life expectancy. John was the first and only company I called. He came out and surveyed the system, checked my existing system which had quit working (it miraculously worked) and a few days later I had an estimate with 4 choices. After research, i chose the two stage variable speed option. I stopped by and provided my choice. At the same time our AC had been out again for a couple of days with 100 degree weather and when I mentioned this to Jennifer she promised to get a technician out that day to get it running (I told her that I thought it was just the condenser fan motor) and if that didnt fix it, she would push up the schedule on the unit replacement. We did get it running so the original schedule worked out fine. Plus, there was no charge for the temporary fix. We greatly appreciated the personal service.

My overall experience with John Burger Heating and Air was great! I did my due diligence, and acquired 3 estimates for a new A/C unit that had to be put on the roof of a 2nd story downtown commercial building. Johns estimate was clear and straight forward with no ambiguity. The work was done quickly and timely--and the cost in the end was the same as the estimate! Also, a short time later, Johns team did a repair on an older wall heating unit in my moms rental unit. The work on the old wall unit was done with the same professionalism and care. Most important for me is that John Burger Heating and Air is a company that you can trust for honest service and prices!

As a Facilities and Maintenance Director I work with a broad range of Contractors, Technicians and Salesman, typically the lowest bidder. I have worked with John Burger Heating & A/C for many years and find them to be cost effective, efficient, professional and very personal in the way that they approach each job, as well as in the way that they interact with the many staff and members of the public within my buildings. When I am in a pinch and need someone who will take extra time to work with me and to think out of the box when it comes to solving cost and design issues, I call John Burger Heating & A/C first.

My compressor went out. John and repairman came out of hours at no charge to try and get it working. He then rearranged his schedule so my new could be installed as soon as possible. The installers were on time, polite and friendly. Couldnt ask for better service.

I could not have been more impressed or pleased with the work and expertise shown by Burger Heating & Air. My A/C unit stopped working at the end of last summer. I called out two other well known and well advertised heating and air companies. The first told my my compressors were shot and that I would need a whole new A/C and Heating system to the tune of $15,000. The second company told me that they could do just the A/C system for a cost of $7,000. Since it was the end of summer, I chose to just ride it out and wait till spring of this year. So again this year I called out the same two companies and was quoted similar pricing after the inspections by their technicians again being told the compressors in my A/C unit were shot. On a last thought I figured I would call one more company...I googled heating and air companies in the area and Burger Heating & Air popped up, so I called. I explained what had gone on and what the other technicians had said, and John told me it didnt sound right. My system was only 10 years old and shouldnt need new compressors. So John offered to come to my house to check it out himself. He actually came out the next day and offered to come after 5 when I would get home from work. Within 15 minutes of going through my system, he had found the problem, replaced one part (a $40 or $50 capacitor) and had my A/C back up and running perfectly. So not only did I not need to spend between $7,000 and $15,000 to have my A/C unit fixed but the compressors were fine. I will never use another company for my air conditioning and heating needs. Burger Heating & Air are not sales guys like the other companies I had come check out my A/C problems. They are trained and qualified heating and air technicians. They actually try to fix the problem, not just sell you another system. I am a customer for life.

Found John Burger via Facebook of all places, did some checking around- and they were the most reasonable priced and being local able to come sooner. At the time I had a very old and dying unit. The repair tech was awesome! Told me the issues and what needed to be done, and what to plan for in the future. I explained that I was on a fixed and limited budget- he was able to repair my unit without bankrupting me at that time. Fast forward a year- the old unit finally said it had had enough and was done, despite regular servicing from John Burger. I shopped around learned about the different types of units. And went with the unit that John Burger recommend for my needs. After the install, they checked in to make sure everything was working properly! And when there was a concern, John himself came out to assess the concern, and he took care of it!! It was a great feeling knowing that even the owner is able to come out and personally take care of his customers!! Will always use them, and recommend to everyone! Good people and great work!! I recently had to call John Burger as I have an apartment with a very oldwall gas heater. First we thought it was just a thermostat and they replaced that then when checking further found that value needed to be replaced, however when removing the front of the furnance founpd cracks in the pipes and that replacing the whole furnance. I wasnt surprised as the furnace is probably 50 years old., as my in laws lived in it after my deceased husband purchased the house. But quite costly since they dont make those any more, but I had not choice but to replace it with a new one as I rent the apartment out. In the past we used it as a guest house. But the installers where fabulous and very professional. I will use John Burger from now on for servicing my Heating and Air Conditioning as I understand Altons are no longer in business. Most people live paycheck-to-paycheck and are not able to spend a lot of money up front all at once to fix their AC. They were not willing to work with me and split it in half or thirds to do the necessary work so that our infant had air conditioning.
