Got off to a ruff start due to miss communication on both ends, but after that the customer service and tech support are great, as expected with this kind of business. Not worth the money for my location. Im canceling my service.This is a reply to the owner. My contact information is on the account, no one from your company has sent me an email or called me. I also called to cancel service months ago, the representative told me the school was paying, I responded that when that period is over I would be terminating your service as I find it sub par. I think some of these negative reviews must be fake. WA Broadband has been ten times better to deal with than CenturyLink or Spectrum, both of which have been misleading about speeds and billing, in my experience.The install Tech, Alfonso, came out within a day of my call and was the epitome of professional and helpful. I’ve worked in the trades all my life and would gladly work with him or hire him. I know IT and Networking and he was knowledgeable and honest on top of being kind enough to wait while I cut down some branches so I could get internet right away. I had high speed internet within 20 minutes and wasn’t charged a dime.Everyone I’ve talked to on the phone has been super helpful and responsive. I couldn’t be happier.

My household currently pays for the up to 12mb down and 5mb up, but yet have we ever even came close to that. The latest speed test I did showed a ping of 395 ms with a jitter of 1,100, 1.07 down, and 2.04 up. I wish I could say this wasn’t almost a daily occurrence but it is. We’ve called for help, but just get told it’s either on our end or it’s because theres a lot of people on the tower at the moment. Yet did they ever offer a solution. They were decent when we first got them but over the years the quality of service has gone down exponentially.

The worst internet provider we have ever had. it literally works for 2 hrs and down for another hour on a daily basis weekly. I dont know how many times we have had to call and nothing has changed for almost a year now. I am reaching my breaking point. we spend nearly $100 a month but we arent the equivalent of that. might as well move on.

We have had WA Broadband for 4ish years and the service and quality has been outstanding. Customer service is above and beyond what any other internet company has ever offered us. Just today Javier was able to help me with an issue that I had already spent three hours trying to fix. It took him all of two minutes!! I have had many unfortunate endeavors with this establishment. For one, I was told that because of a Hawks game my poor internet quality would not be fixed. Now I get the Hawks are an absolute legendary team, but I was unable to watch my Hawks because they were watching the Hawks. When it comes to reliability this provider is like the Hawks in the 90s. I am too old and too tired to deal with internet speeds that can barely handle my fax machine.

I have been a customer of Washington Broadband for ... about 8 years (ish)... They have been a great company to work with. They provide my internet. What I LOVE is, they always answer the phone and I get to talk to a real person. When Ive needed troubleshooting (usually because of my own tech error) they have talked me through the problem over the phone and Ive always got good resolution. The other big reason I write this review is one day I noticed that they increased my speed without increasing my price! They are a company who cares about their clients. When we were looking for a new service provider I called WA Broadband. There was a tower on Elephant Mountain across from us so they hooked up a dish to service us in the vicinity and came out within a day or two to hook us up. Always quick response to any questions. If there are any issues with the dish on the tower, they are out there fixing it within an hour or so. So fortunate to have found WA Broadband!

Wonderful service. They got my daughter hooked up with internet way out in the boonies, and it allows everyone in the house to stream. If any issue ever came about they handled it within a few minutes after hours. The lady in billing was wonderful to speak with also. I have nothing but good things to say.

Over 10 people on the network, and one wifi extender, we share one Internet connection with two homes, everyone is streaming at once with no problem. It used to be down all the time, for days, but they upgraded their equipment. It rains, snows, wind, and the network stays up. Really good. They are our only Internet option in my area

Ive been with WA Broadband for a long time (20+ yrs), and have seen the ups and downs. For much of the time, they were my only option, although that has changed now. Im very happy with their service, although in the past there have been times when the speeds were very inconsistent - sometimes to my advantage, as when I was getting more than twice the speed I was paying for, and sometimes the service would slow to a crawl. A couple of years ago they upgraded their equipment, and the speeds are much more consistent now - I get what I pay for, confirmed with a benchmark on the router.A few months ago I gave in to temptation, and switched to Gigabeam - they were advertising lower prices (by about $10/mo) for the same speed. Gigabeams internet service was exactly as promised, no problems there, but their billing department was terrible! They dont have on-line payments, so you give them a credit card # over the phone (no actual office). But theyd make a mistake with my credit card number and charge me fees ($15, $50) when the card was declined. They charge a late fee whenever a card is declined, for any reason! I spent hours on the phone sorting it out, everything would be OK for a month or two, and then they hit me again with extra fees and threats of being sent to collections - all because of Gigabeams mistake!Eventually I got tired of dealing with Gigabeams problems, and did not want to take the risk of them ruining my credit rating by sending my bill to a collections company. So I went back to WA Broadband, and I appreciate their service a lot more now that Ive tried a competitor.

Our family has had this service for the last several years. Weve cut the cable/dish cord years ago. We stream in HD and have no issues with lag unless two TVs are streaming HD. Have we had issues? Yes. But it only has happened a few times and some of the issues were on our end. They do answer your calls on the weekend. Leave a message. They do call you back. I think they could be cheaper on the price but overall we are satisfied with their service and will continue to use them.

As of right now the internet has been completely out for a week. I have been with washington broadband for 7 plus years. I do NOT recommend service. They are fine unless you need anything, like you paid but your internet, they confirmed, but the internet still isnt working. So you call and they say they cant get to you for a week and half?They wont give a refund either for the service not provided. And they wont cancle you if you already paid that month. Your stuck with service you paid for but arent getting and no chance of a refund. Of all my years with them I put up with the shotty reception and the 8pm laaaaaaggggg and the it might just be the weather excuse for my internet not working. Or the well actually.... I really need my internet for my online classes, thats why I have it for. no internet no degree. Bad buisness ethics and POOR customer service. I would not advise getting caught up in this scam. Its all hunky dory till you have a real issue.Go to us cellular get the wifi bundle its cheaper and better customer service.

It was an exceptionally critical time when I needed to share that presentation with audiences >3 times per day, Monday-Friday. Anyone use Washington Broadband and have issues with service even after they say they have upgraded their system?I keep getting the run around and have for months, even owner Forbes Mercy will not answer questions to resolve service issues, heck he even unfriended me on Facebook when I asked why service has declined.If you have service issues Id like to know if I am the only one or if there are others..This is what the OWNER Forbes Mercy responded with on FB..Washington Broadband Inc. Obviously the shining example of a worst case customer. Does he call the office for help, no. Whatever his ulterior motive is for hurting small businesses, making claims of reporting to the FCC that they have no record. Hes just #mefakeMr. Forbes Mercy Sir I wish you the best, but if this is the way you treat your customers, then you will reap what you sow. So you know I have called numerous times, emailed numerous times and yes made a formal complaint with the FCC due to the fact you sir would not return any calls, emails or provide the service I and many others have been paying for that you advertise and charge for which is illegal, hence this is the right thing to do is report a business like yours, since you choose not to address the issues you created. So with that, again I wish you the best and I am sorry you are loosing many customers due to your own behavior and lack of quality service. I have been a customer for about a year (2017-2018). The billing process was not correct at the beginning, but the staff worked it out and everything is OK.My main concern is the sluggish service in the evening hours and especially over the weekends. When the staff comes in on Monday morning then everything is working properly. Weekends (starting Friday evening) MAY be due to high speed internet gaming as the slow performance still occurs in the middle of the night. Generally if there are Netflix hogs they arent watching movies at 3 am. There isnt staff on the weekend at their facility. Havent they heard of things like ping watchdog, SNMP, and other monitoring programs? There should be remote logins by staff over the weekend to see problem areas.

Technician who installed our service was great, people are very friendly. It was explained to me that we would need at least 5mb/s for streaming video. Since it has been installed I haven’t seen anything close to that speed however. Our streaming is constantly interrupted and the system is bogged down with what I assume are other users also trying to stream or game. It’s better than Frontier, but barely and costs about twice as much. I hear there is supposedly cable internet coming out to Naches, and I would be interested in that when that happens.Chris

We live in a pocket of no cable high speed internet service. I have had satellite and other wireless services but no one has been as fast and reliable as Washington Broadband. They must have made improvements in their system because now they are way faster than my ATT LTE service. Great job Washington Broadband! Keep it up.

At first I was a bit concerned if the wifi was going to be as fast as I wanted after moving to live out in the middle of nowhere. Ive always just used and known big names for wifi service and when I heard none covered where I lived, I thought I was doomed. I asked neighbors what they used and they told me about Washington Broadband. I was skeptic if it was actually going to be as fast as it said. After getting it installed and using it I discovered its really fast and havent had any problems with it as all. I would have random days of no wifi with old companies because who knows what, a lot of customers would lose service. Ive had nothing like that happen with Washington Broadband. Great job!

This has to be the worst experience we have ever had. We took the day off from work that we had our appointment on and it came to the time they were suppose to be at our house and they never showed, we called and asked what was going on & said they had forgot to write our appointment down in the book. So we waited a few weeks and tried again. Took the day off from work and waited for them and the same thing happened all over AGAIN! Accidents do happen so the first time we let it go but twice in a row is just ridiculous! I do not recommend this to ANYONE!

The last time that I called them to inquire as to when the system would be working again I spoke with the owner Forbes. I have never in my life been treated so rudely and with such arrogance as he treated me. I terminated our service immediately. I strongly encourage anyone in need of wireless internet service to try pocket I net. They have provided awesome service and professionalism for the past three years.

Have been with them since 2009. Sure they have had ups and downs, but when they have had issues, they recognize them and fix them. (READ their website).Sure, you can do a speed test every 5 minutes and it may not be exactly what some people say they are paying for 100% of the time (what ISP does?), but the bottom line is it does what its supposed to do and how much speed so you REALLY need to accomplish what you want to do?We have 2 wired computers and multiple wireless devices, have no trouble streaming Netflix simultaneously on 2 devices. Plus, they dont have a download cap so you dont have to constantly worry about that like with satellite internet.Looking forward to the future, Im sure they will only get better.

This service is horrible i am a gamer and i enjoy online competitive shooters and this provider has stopped me from doing what i love because of their horrible internet speed if you try to accuse me of being one of your competitors just look at my profile i have a YouTube where i play those kinds of games. But i no longer can because the internet is so spotty. Dont get this service the only reason i have this internet is because it is literally the only inter that is available. I would change in an instant.

Internet service is horrible. Speeds go in and out and when you call for a technician they put you on a week wait list then call you the day of service reporting they fixed the problem by upping your speeds... days later the speed slows down again. Have had them for the past 4 years and this is the 6th time this has happened. Horrible internet and horrible service. If you can use another provider, I would recommend it.

I have been with this internet provider for years-- they are the only service out in WV where I live and if it werent for the fact that I have to have internet service for my job, I would have cancelled many years ago. They suck at customer service and they have a terrible attitude when problems arise. It really is a miracle they are still in service. Horrible, horrible customer service!I will be sure to share this with all of my friends on social media, the word will get out on your terrible customer service. I went weeks without internet this winter and all you could do was make up reasons why the internet was down, when they finally bothered to come out and check they found a problem with the radio and cable. They never adjusted my account for the time I was without service even though I asked.Word gets out in this community and people will hear about the terrible service!

I really dont understand these comments, from my point of view out in Tieton Washington Broadband is so much faster and less expensive than dish and dsl. I dont have to bundle anything and my price has stayed the same. We have 3 laptops, 3 tablets and 3 phones all using WiFi no buffering! Only one has our service gone down and it was up the next day.

The absolute worst Internet service provide in Yakima. I pay for 11mb/s and I have never seen more then 8mb/s unless I was on the phone complaining about it. That only will last about 30min to and hour following the the phone call. The only redeeming quality they provided was after hours support which was recently taken away. The poor 8mb/s conveniently slows after close of business hours when there is not anyone to help and during peak hours between 6pm and 9pm I am lucky to have 1.5mb/s to 3mb/s. I would gladly pay charter twice there going rate for internet if it was available. I would recommend ANY other provider.

We signed up with Washington Broadband in May. Everything seemed to be fine...then in June our internet was shut off. My husband called to find out why and was told because we didnt pay the bill, he told the person he was talking to that we hadnt gotten a bill. Turns out they had a wrong last name and address. So that was taken care and our internet was turned back on. In July our internet was shut off again, not only did they not correct the previous name and address issues but now they do not have the correct numbers on the card used for direct payment. When my husband called to talk to someone about this issue the girl on the phone in formed him the issue was with him, not their problem and she did not have time to deal with it. So not still no internet and they want an hundred and something dollars to get out of our contract.

Updated 4/7/16After quite some time with WA Broadband, my household has decided to part ways with their service. Months of slow downs, false advertising about products, regular outages, and so on (all detailed in reviews outside of this one and even on WA BBs own website in Community News) finally culminated in nearly TWO WEEKS of severe connectivity and speed issues for my household. As in, pings that broke 1000ms and speeds well under 0.5mbps (we paid for 10/10) at all hours, with disconnects every 15-20 minutes.And, as always, we called several times daily and were told the problem was a) on our end, b) did not exist, or c) to wait for Mr. Mercy to call us back. He didnt, until the day we complained to the Better Business Bureau that is. Alas, when he finally made time in his oh-so-busy schedule to return our calls, we were unavailable and so have still yet to speak to him.So now were with PocketiNet. Their speeds are actually virtually identical to WABB and similar in price, but they undersell their speeds (mine are much faster than promised). Their service techs were able to get me a line within 24 hours when I explained my situation with WABB (actual service? It IS possible!) and were able to build me a custom package to suit my business needs. They clearly explained their business standards for ensuring towers were not overwhelmed and that service went uninterrupted, and their contract was blessedly short and customer friendly. Really, the difference is night and day, but thats another review altogether.My point here is that the service with WA Broadband has been such utter garbage since AUGUST 2015 that Im over the moon when a new company simply does the bare minimum of what they promised to do. It could have been any new ISP too, because the fact is Ive used 3 national providers and 3 locally owned providers in the last 10 years and they have NEVER been as poor as WA Broadband. Thats a scale of awful all onto itself.Rest assured--there are much better options than Washington Broadband and its frankly underwhelming excuse for customer service and satisfaction standards.

Its a two-star review, so mostly bad...if Washington Broadband wants to step up its game and get a better review, more power to them, I would gladly write a more positive review if they can improve my overall experience.The Good: If you are in a rural area around Yakima, then it might be that Washington Broadband is the ONLY service available to you. Oh, there might be some terrible satellite company, perhaps, but out where I live there is no DSL, no cable - we are up the virtual creek, and Washington Broadband comes to the rescue. Thats cool - I appreciate that their service finds its way out this far. Good job! In some areas you will find a local competitor....I have no experience with any of those, because in my case WB is my only option.The Bad: First off, it is slow. If you are coming from the city get ready for whiplash. Frustrated with bogged down DSL? Youll kiss the DSL provider on the mouth after sampling wireless speeds for awhile. And cable? Our last cable connection, nothing special, was more than 10x faster than this, and cost less per month. Now, thats mostly apples and oranges, not really fair to compare the two and, as you can read above, those other options are no longer available for me, or probably for you if youre reading this. How fast do you really need? Well, for media streaming, like we do a lot of, you want 5mps....its not amazing, but it will certainly get the job done most of the time. So thats what we signed up for, the 5mps plan. Sounds good....except...Second, the service is terribly inconsistent. The performance fluctuates constantly, rarely delivering the promised speeds for any reliable length of time. We roll with a lot of this, but when it gets too bad for too long, I call tech support. They push a few buttons and bingo, back to 5mps. For a day or two. Which, to be honest, is pretty frustrating, because it suggests that they have it in their power to improve your network performance if they would bother to check how things are going. If they would deliver the promised speeds, slow as they are, I would be a much happier camper. (For kicks I ran a speed test just now...averaged .26Mbps...yes, .26...about 5% of promised speed)Third, there is general low-level of professionalism in most interactions. Ive met a couple of sharp tech guys, but the feel of the place, from billing to tech support, is odd, not much concern for the customer. We had a more serious interruption in service awhile back, leaving us without internet for a week. Tech visits were hard to schedule and days out. After another outage due to some WB equipment failure, I called to get a sense of how long wed be down, and asked for billing adjustments for the lost service. Though promised a call back, it did not come. Only repeated calls to tech support got our service up and running again. Lame. The billing is paid in advance, so every day down is just taking our money and delivering no service in return. Some proactive problem solving and return calls would go a long way to improving this category.I am still using WB because.....well....I have to. If I had any other options, Id use them. Which isnt a great place to be for WB, because as soon as other options open up, which they no doubt will at some point, they will have no loyal customers, only former customers. Id be happy to upgrade this review if WB can improve the service. (I just ran another speed test...up to .98Mbps!....that means up to ALMOST 20% of what we pay for!....things are looking up already!) Absolutely the worse internet around. Ive called in many times to get my internet fixed because it is sooooo slow and everytime they have another excuse. If you want bad internet service and poor customer service go with Washington Broadband.
