GREAT SERVICE! I had the pleasure of having Darryl work on my car. He was helpful and very knowledgeable on 2 separate incidents that occurred with my car. He was very patient and took the time do really do the necessary tests to discover the issue with my car. He remained in constant communication throughout the whole process and made me feel at ease about what was going on with my car. Great customer Service, attitude, and patience while being understaffed as well as swamped with waiting customers. Surprised to find that the price after a small discount for a oil change was still more expensive then the price that I would of had to pay at the actual chevy dealer but its my own fault for not asking for that detail at time of drop off. Hope they give the great manager Darryl the appreciation he deserves for his dedication too great customer care and mechanical skills!

These people are very amiable and clearly care about you and your car. Its been a bit of a hellish road trip and they gave us their diagnosis. We refused the service since it was outside of our budget, meaning we had to drive back 2 hrs. They asked us to call them over we made it back so they knew we were safe, which is just above and beyond!

Darryl is a new manager here and he was very up front and honest! He let me know previous recommendations for a full brake job was unnecessary and explained exactly how he measured and checked my car. Hard to come by an honest mechanic it seems, but I was very impressed with his professionalism and service!

Went on a Sunday for rear brakes. The man at the front counter tried to rope me in to putting brakes and rotors on a car with 60000 miles for $400.The man told me to go in and inspect the Rotors my self. I went in the garage looked and it was obvious it only needed rear pads. When I told him I just wanted pads he refused to do it. He stated he wont do the job unless I get the rotors.He went back in talked to the mechanic came back out and gave me a price of $275 just for rear pads. The only good thing about the place is he didnt try to charge me a lift fee. I went to my regular mechanic the next day and got my brakes done for a $100. Shame on this place I could only imagine what they would do to a older person or a clueless person.

I will never go here again brought my 06 Mazda 3 in for a price rear passenger caliber after waiting for them to do inspection i was told $857 i needed front and rear rotors and brake pads also calibers on both sides! He claimed he couldnt do just what i asked for( rear passenger) without doing the other side along with the brakes and rotors i tell them just do oil change and front bulb replace my bill came to $75 i was charged $22 for bulb and $15 for labor $5 for oil filter and$7 for labor he never informed me before hand how much there bulb cost because i sure enough would have said never mind and luckily i checked the lights before i left because it wasnt even screwed on tight it was still out! I was expecting the oil change to be $25 ended up being over. $40 and come to find out i didnt even need rear brake pads or rotors...terrible service up charged and ripped off

My advisor Vinny in conjunction with my assigned Mechanic were very informative regarding services provided. My Mechanic gave a detailed analysis in regards to my vehicle A/C issues. I had an amazing experience here! I drive my grandmas old Subaru (1984) and the breaks broke in the morning. I brought it here and they replaced the breaks in no time for such a cheap cost! Plus, the owner//Manager Tom refilled my oil and windshield wiper fluid for me, no cost added! I highly suggest this place, thank you so much Tom!

Been here twice so far and both times I’ve felt like I’m being well taken care of. At this location, everyone seems very genuine and I have felt like they are working to give me the best deal which unfortunately is rare with repair shops where many are scammy. I’m not as familiar with cars so I appreciate that they show me what’s wrong by pointing it out in the shop, explain it in a way that I can understand, then offer advice. Highly recommend and appreciate their service!

We punctured our tire on our way out of town this past weekend, did a quick google search for a well-rated auto center and gave these guys a call to see if they could help us. They were super quick, incredibly friendly, and even let us bring our dog in to the waiting area with us as it was pouring rain. Shoutout to Vinny for the amazing customer service and conversation while we were waiting, and to Sean for doing an excellent and efficient job patching our tire. They totally saved our weekend and we will definitely be coming back here for any future needs. Highly recommend you do too!

Accidentally stumbled across the place when I needed an oil change and to get my emissions done. They dont actually do emissions (my fault, they dont advertise doing this), but as long as my car keeps running Ill be coming here. Vin and his team are great. Always friendly and courteous and they get you in and out quickly. If you hang around you are also in for good conversation. They seem to make car service an experience and its impressive.To this point Ive only needed oil changes and a new battery, which have all gone smoothly, but even in listening to interactions with other customers I can tell this is a team of straight shooters. They arent trying to take you for all youre worth. They want to help keep your car running and are all very knowledgeable when it comes to diagnosing issues.Definitely give these guys a shot.

Tried to get a muffler fixed. Vinny was nice in person then very rude on the phone. After telling me not to worry he will fix it. Now it wont be 5 days they dont make the aftermarket parts. So now I took the day off for nothing and have no vehicle. he told me hes looking for after market parts ( but told me they dont make them) very confusing and the dealer dosent have them. I tried calling customer service and got hung up on my Shawna.

This place is great ! I came here today for the first time for an oil change and from the moment I came in, to the moment I left it was a great experience ! Everyone is extremely friendly and knowledgeable, they got me in & out quick and provided amazing service. They also inspect the vehicle to make sure everything’s running smoothly at no charge when you get an oil change. I will be making this my home place for my oil changes from now on !!

My family has been coming here for years now. Most recently I bought a daily little beater car and it had an assortment of problems. Vinny ran through pricing with me, showed me what was going on underneath the car and broke it down for me. They care more about how happy you walk out and if there’s things they can do to help elevate your nerves they’ll do it. Coming from East haven up here it’s worth it for me.

I seem To be there quite often, Gio is amazing as he is always so quick to help me out! He will go into depth to really explain what is going on with my vehicle and make sure I understand what he is talking about. He’s super attentive and went through great measures to explain to me that my shocks and struts would need to be done soon when he put new tires on my car. He is very time efficient but still does a great safe job!

Vinny is great guy. He has worked on my vehicle before and has been completely transparent of the work that needs to be done and not be done. He’s helped on looking for parts that would be cost effective to make the repair more affordable. I would recommend this shop to others, friendly staff and great work.

Had a very good experience getting my brakes serviced. Vinny, the head mechanic, was friendly and honest. He didnt try to oversell parts which is is rare in the business of automotive repair. The other mechanics were also professional and easy to interact with. I have 4 cars in my family and wont hesitate to go back.

GREAT! I was there this past Thursday to get an oil change before heading to New York. the man that worked the front desk was amazing, caring and funny! He made jokes with the customers and was very engaging. He apologized for the wait and made sure that I would be out in a timely fashion. He told me the work I would need done next on my vehicle without any problems. Very nice man and made me feel very comfortable while I waited. This will be my new oil change location, even though I live closer to the one on Foxon Blvd.

Hi, Think twice before go there. Bunch of unprofessional liars . If you want to know why read below.My father in law has 1999 Mazda 626. He complained that his AC is not working. So I asked my mechanic to look at it but he was not available for two weeks. So I offer him to wait but I understood that its going to be tough because it was almost 90 degrees an he is 86 year old . So after suffering for a couple of days he decided to go to Monroe in Woodbridge. Guys took his car performed test and filled refrigerant. charged him. 141.78 plus tax. Next day AC doesnt work. He goes back, another guy G. Rodriguez in the shop talks to him explains that he is not sure what other did and that he needs to do system test again to figure out what is wrong. Result of his research was that compressor needs to be replaced. It will cost 775 + tax. Well My father in law is on SSI and its not easy for him to pay $more than $800.00 for car repair, so he decided not to do it and called me again. It seemed to me that its too expensive and I checked prices for compressor on line and they were plus minus $150.00. So I was not sure why they charge 650. I asked him to wait for my mechanic. Week later I brought his car to my mechanic in New Britain. Hi checked AC system and found that sensor ring was licking. He replaced it and filled refrigerant charged me 160.00. AC is working .So would you agree with my first statement .

Came in for an oil change and they found out I had an oil leak. They were very helpful in finding the part needed for the car and fixing my car at a decent price and time. Very appreciative for their help and how informative they were in explaining what was wrong with my car. Glad I came in today and found this issue before it got worse. Thanks for your help guys!

Had a fantastic experience here! Brought in my very old, beat-up CRV and Cory and Vinny figured out the major issues and explained them to me really well. Honda dealer in Branford misdiagnosed and quoted me $6000 for a fix, but Monro found the actual problem and fixed it for a very reasonable price and really quick. They care a lot about doing good work, and they never tried to convince me to spend more money on problems that werent affecting performance. Going to come back for a tire change soon!

While traveling thru CT, we unfortunately got a flat tire. Luckily we were right by the Woodbridge, CT exit and were able to get to Monroe Muffler and Brakes. We explained to Giovanni that we were on our way to FL. Due to the wear on the tires, we ended up buying 4 new tires (but 3 get one free) and Giovanni is busting his tail trying to get us back on the road ASAP. This Monro Muffler Brake & Service is the only automotive shop I trust. This enterprising business is very attentive to their costumers needs. The employees who work go far beyond my expectations when it comes to my car. They EXPLAIN IN DETAIL and SHOW everything to me which I appreciate so much in a shop!! I will say with confidence that you do not need to worry about being taking advantage of and you dont need to worry about the job being done incorrectly. In addition, you can see your car being worked on from the waiting room (the waiting room is like a giant boxed window) which is another huge plus to me! No secretes at this shop. Glad I finally found the right shop.

I come here all the time. Today, Steve cleaned my headlights which were cloudy and filmed over. He did a fantastic job! He also did my oil change as well. This is why I take my car here all the time.

Went to Hamden, his machine was down. He called Woodbridge to see if they could do it. He said yes, I drive out, he tells me no. HUGE waste of time and I only get 1 day off as a nurse so also a huge inconvenience. Guy at Woodbridge had zero fks. Ill hit competition and give them the hundreds of dollars.

They tried to charge me over 1200 dollars to change my brakes and rotors on an 01 Subaru outback. About 500 for parts and 700 for labor. I went to AutoZone in Seymour, bought the best brakes and rotors there are for a Subaru for less than 250 and changed them in under 6 hours (and I had never changed brakes in my life) without a car lift. My friend said this was a 600 to 800 dollar job at most which I have to agree with.

I have been going there for years.. I must say they arent like others who take advantage of women they are fair with their prices.. Vinny the manager is AWESOME such a good dude !!!

Was visiting the area for a couple days and for a flat on 95. I took my car to the Toyota dealership and they said the tire was going to take 2 days to get delivered which is time I didn’t have before my trip back to NY. The guys at Monroe were able track down the tire and have it there the next day. When I brought the car in, they got me in and out in no time.

Giovany was a great help! I came in and my car just kept shutting down. He was very attentive, helped me to understand what the problem was. DO NOT GO HERE!!!! Horrible Service! This place will rip you off. Techs dont know what they are doing but yet they want to charge you thousands of dollars for something they still havent fixed. Worse experience I have ever had with a mechanic shop! I had to tow my car out of there and bring it to a dealer. If you dont know what the hell you are doing, just say you dont know. Stop trying to charge for something you cant fix. I gave you 1 star because I couldnt give you zero stars. I will spread the word to never go to any Monro Auto Service. Its honestly pretty sad that people operate this poorly.

Very pleased with my first experience at Monroe! Being a woman it’s very intimidating to get a simple oil change as I’m never sure what someone’s going to finagle me into but that’s not the case as Monroe. Vinny was EXTREMELY pleasent and honest, not to mention accommodating as I had only called a few moments prior before stopping in. The service was quick and pleasent. Would def recommend Monroe to everyone in the area!

My serpentine belt had gone and I was unable to drive my car thankfully Giovany was able to come to me and do the job that same day. I would recommend him if you get any work done here!

I called at 1pm and had someone order a tire for me, which I was told would be there in a couple of hours and someone would give me a call when it arrived, I call back at 5:30pm having heard nothing since only to be told no tires arrived and no one at the time even knew I had called, completely and utterly unprofessional, I explained during the first call I NEEDED the tire today so I could go to work tomorrow. So just know theyll lie to you on the phone to try and secure a sale.
