I sought out SAGE in search of a gym with coaches that could give me direction and guidance without breathing down my neck. I’ve been going to SAGE for close to a month and have already been thrilled with my progress and experience. Brooke and Seth are so much fun to be around and I have loved having their guidance. 10/10 recommend!
SAGE Strength + Conditioning is easily the best gym Ive ever gone to. The coaches are as helpful as they are knowledgeable and their programs get results. Id recommend SAGE to anyone, regardless of where they are on their fitness journey.
I am new to gym-ing and strength training and I walked in here to reduce my postpartum weight and get fit. What I walked into wasn’t just any normal gym, it was an awesome high level and very challenging strength training run by the two most passionate and lovely people-Seth and Brooke who became more like close friends in a short time.These guys are highly trained professionals who know their stuff!! And like an icing on the cake they are friendly, caring and genuinely concerned about your well-being. They have enough equipment and experience to train from seasoned athletes to a newbie like me and they know exactly how much to push each of them in every session-no more and no less. Trust me, there’s a challenge for you here even if you’re a pro.The size of the class is small enough to give individual attention to everyone and although a common training program is planned everyday its again customised to individual needs and capability. Since I started coming here I’ve never failed to feel challenged and surprised at what I have accomplished. It’s a special place mainly coz of these two fantastic people Brooke and Seth who are always so kind, encouraging and appreciative. It’s one of the best decisions I’ve taken coming here!!
I recently became a member at SAGE and I have loved every minute of my time there. As a college athlete, I am always looking for ways to stay active over the summer. I have tried a couple of gym chains and the YMCA in previous years, but none of those even compare to SAGE. Personally, I feel more comfortable training in a controlled environment, so having coaches on the floor during my workouts has been awesome. The structure at SAGE has been transformative for me because I no longer have to create my own workouts and I actually have someone pushing me and holding me accountable. I get 1 on 1 instruction and feedback, so the coaches genuinely care about my progress and success. At SAGE I actually feel like part of a unique family and diverse community. The staff has even gotten to know me on a personal level. That’s something you just don’t get at many gyms, at least from my experience. The cool thing about SAGE is that no matter what your background is or what your abilities are, they are there to guide you in whatever goals you want to achieve. SAGE has something special for everyone!

They educate you about their purpose as a gym, the purpose of each workout, and the purpose of each movement. The training is for every person, no matter your experience or age -- the coaches ensure you are safe, all while pushing you to do more than you ever thought you could. You get to know the owners, coaches, and fellow athletes on a personal level that is rare with other fitness facilities. Its truly an environment like no other.Joining SAGE is an investment I would make over and over again!
I go there with two of my kids in the morning and the entire staff makes sure we are all doing it the right way and maximizing our time.
When I think about how far I have come in the past 3 years, it truly amazes me. And while I had goals when I first entered the doors at Sage to speak with Seth, I never thought in my wildest dreams that I would be able to do the things that I do today.Sage is a special place. Within the four walls, it houses coaches that have a vast amount of knowledge, but even better than that they are able to disseminate that knowledge in a way that not only the seasoned can understand but also the novice. This place is special. You can be yourself and workout in a pressure-free environment. The coaches prioritize knowing you, your fitness goals, and your background, so that they can help you improve your fitness and image efficiently and effectively. I began doing personal training sessions with coach Mark, who thoroughly evaluated my fitness abilities and taught me how to get the most out of each exercise he customized for my fitness level. Now, I receive customized workouts that I can perform on my own at my convenience either at the gym with supervision as needed, or away from the gym using an app. My wife loves working with coach Megan, who is especially dedicated to helping mothers regain confidence and strength. We have both seen significant improvements after just two months of two workouts per week. This is by far the best place to workout that I’ve ever seen or heard about and it’s not even close. Highly recommend it to anyone at any stage of life.
I’m a newbie at this gym. The fast-start program really helped me get to know the group fitness class routine. The coaches and other members have been encouraging and made me feel welcome. Class activities have provided a wide variety of exercise and I find that keeps me interested and wanting to continue toward my fitness goals. I look forward to each session. So far, great!
Sages is a gym with great programming and fantastic coaches that care about strengthening every individual. I love the class size, the energy of the trainers, the commitment of the owners, the camaraderie in class, and the extras that come along with being a member, like nutrition coaching, fun weekend outings, and seeing what I’m able to accomplish in and out of the gym. If you’re looking for a program that works and that you look forward to every day, this is the place for you!
My teen son has been going to SAGE since June and I cant say enough great things about his experience. His mindset has totally changed regarding improving his athletic ability, becoming more fit, gaining strength, understanding nutrition, etc. He always wants to go to his workouts....never complains! His coach Mark is fantastic at setting up sessions designed to improve the things my son wants to work on in order to achieve success on the field. Just the other day, he commented that he knew SAGE was the right place for him the first time we walked in the doors. :)
I am a 56 year old elder law and special needs attorney, and am doing PT with owner Seth. What I like about Seth is that he does not think in terms of limits--no matter what a clients age, sex, weight, or physical condition, Seth instills confidence that the client can get fitter, stronger, and healthier. Seth is very proud of the over 50 adults he trains who are getting very strong, and making remarkable progress. He creates great whole body workouts in a no-frills gym with very basic equipment and does not make false promises--all clients improve through their own effort, with guidance and support from gyms staff. Seths wife Brooke, who also trains, is a real asset--very fit, friendly, warm, welcoming, and encouraging.
I joined Sage three months ago, having never done group workouts before. Seth and his instructors made me feel comfortable and made sure I had proper form on each exercise. The classes are tough but enjoyable. The instructors are very attentive, during the class, to make sure proper form is kept to avoid injury. I can already tell a difference in my strength, endurance and body.
Best gym in Winston Salem hands down. Best coaching staff, best programming, and best atmosphere around town for athletic development, fitness progression, and learning to live a healthier and better lifestyle.
I haven’t been going here long, but I love how personable both Seth and Brooke are. All of the workouts are challenging and I always feel great when I leave. Definitely one of the best gyms I’ve ever been apart of.

Great atmosphere and great people. Totally different than most gyms and also friendly when you go. Started a Sage when it first opened took a little time away and upon return the experience is even better.
Seth has discovered the perfect programming combination of an intense workout without the brutal beat down, always keeps you coming back for more.

I’ve trained with Seth in one on one sessions and in group sessions and I challenge you to find a trainer more patient and motivating than him. You can tell that he truly enjoys his job and is willing to work with anyone at any skill level. I absolutely recommend Sage Strength and Fitness to anyone who is looking for an excellent gym experience.
Sage is an extremely positive and motivating team environment. Seth is very knowledgeable about physical training and is invested in each person and their journey. He and Brooke have created an amazing place where all are welcome and are pushed to be strong in all aspects of life.
Ive been going to sage off and on for the past couple years as I come home from college. The people are great and Ive been inspired for a life of fitness. It isnt a gym full of meat heads but a welcoming place where you can either get general fitness and weightloss or become very strong. Seth is awesome and I would highly recommend checking them out.

Ive spent time with personal trainers/coaches before but Seth is different. He has a WEALTH of knowledge and cares deeply about each of his clients. I cant recommend SAGE enough, very happy that I joined!
I have been attending Sage now for approximately 3 years. Seth has a program at Sage that allow people to progress at their own pace, where small gains make big impacts in peoples lives and where positive encouragement is central to his business. I have recovered from two serious injuries while a member (back surgery and chain saw injury) and each time Seth has mentored me on movements to help my particular situation. Love the group atmosphere, the group class setting is so motivating. The trainers and workouts are tough but keep you coming back for more. My husband and I love it and the flexible class schedule.

I have been going to Sage now for about 1 year and was quickly addicted. I hate missing a workout and have realized results in lower body fat and cholesterol within about 3 or 4 months of starting. Seth is one of the most knowledgeable fitness experts in the area, consistently tailoring routines to best fit clients skill levels, I refer everyone I can next door but Seth is trusted to progress patients from lower level to high level, with technique corrections and safe lifting practices. You can NOT go wrong by training at SAGE!
Sage works. Im about 59, on a good day, and since turning 40 earlier this year I realized that it was time to get serious about my health. I was pushing my weight up close to 280. That was way too high. I didnt feel good at all. I am an endomorph body type. I have tried many different types of exercising. I tried joining a gym to lift weights, Ive done P90X, I took martial arts for a number of years, but through it all my weight steadily increased. You see, I would train hard for a while, then stop and gain more weight than I had originally started with. I can gain weight like breathing, it is just that easy for me. Which brings my story to Sage Strength. Since joining this family, and it is a family, I have adopted a new lifestyle. I think of myself as an athlete. Everyday I work out I get stronger and leaner. I am happy to say that as of this mornings weigh in, I am now 240 pounds. I havent seen the 230s in at least 8 years, so this is a major accomplishment for me. And without the support of the smart training and goal setting that Sage provides, I would have never gotten to where I am. I am hoping to get my body to the point where it can compete in the Murph Challenge for Memorial Day 2017. It is a bit of a lofty goal seeing as how I can only do a handful of pull-ups right now, but once the weight comes off, I know that the strength is in there. Its my Sage Strength.
