I love Planet Fitness! When I walk in, I always feel welcome! The staff is helpful and friendly. A special shout out to Garrett at the Peters Creek location! He goes over and above to help members feel welcome and when I leave he says thank you for working out with us! On another note, I can’t say enough about cleanliness. The gym promotes cleaning before and after use of each machine and the employees are constantly cleaning! Hats off to management for hiring employees who actually care about members and their safety when working out!

Staff is very helpful, ready to assist with my concerns. I noticed a wet basement type smell in the atmospher at the planet fitness that I workout at. Someone may want to find out what is causing the problem smell. Its doesnt appear to have anything to do with the general cleansing of the place. The center is always clean. I always see staff cleaning, mopping, and wiping. The smell appears to be from something else. It has a wet mildew basement type smell that lingers in the air. Other than that, I really enjoy planet fitness.

This location needs some TLC. It doesnt feel clean. The equipment has a sticky film on it. Several of the treadmills had dry sweat on them and dust and debris in between them.The pull up machine is rusting and the handle grips are gathered and torn. It did not feel safe and clean. There was also dust on the treadmills,which tells me they have no been thoroughly wipe down in a while.The staff was super friendly and helpful! But there was only one lady cleaning and she was cleaning the womans bathroom. The bathroom was very organized and clean. Im used to at least one or two staff members cleaning during my two hour visit.I realize that this is one of the first PF established in Winston-Salem and this is my original home location but Kernersville is much cleaner so ill be using that location until Peterscreek improves.

Got sick so I had to end my contract. I couldnt go in so my mom did it for me. It was not as easy as it should have been for her. I didnt get sick on purpose. #CancerSucks

Not my home gym. I use many Planet fitness locations. I travel for work. This one is a nice size. Equipment works, crowd is diverse. Not terribly busy whenever I go. Decent locker room. Clean. I have been to nicer Planet fitness locations but this location gets a thumbs up.

Ive shied away from going to the gym because of the Pandemic and waited until I was fully vaccinated. When I called to see what protocols in place, the staff member who helped me was friendly, very informative, and answered all of my questions. When I finally was able to make it into a PF, I was pleased with the requirement for everyone to wear a mask, regardless of working out, and the socially fitnessed machines. I feel comfortable working out at PF during the pandemic because of the mask protocol and witnessing staff going around and sanitizing machines on top of members sanitizing after using.

Go there pretty much everyday, black card is worth it in my opinion in case I have to travel

My fiancé and I walked into Planet Fitness to pursue a new membership for myself (my fiancé already had a membership). My fiancé proceeded to ask the front desk associate if there were any promotional deals or a referral program to start my membership. The front desk associate informed us that there was no such referral program. After being told this, we decided to continue to purchase the basic membership. Days later, my fiancé was on his own membership and saw that there was a referral code for a 1 dollar down payment instead of the ~50 dollars we had paid instead for the down payment of my membership.When I had called the location to discuss a refund as it had only been 3 days since I had started my membership and we were very misinformed by the front desk associate, I was told by the assistant manager that they would not be able to refund me because its not our fault that we werent aware of the deal, its a corporate issue that they didnt inform us of. This is frankly unprofessional that the company isnt aware of their own promotions and should be more knowledgable with their app. Everyone should be aware of the fact that this Planet Fitness ultimately only cares about their bottom line and to always do the research yourself.

I appreciate how welcoming and informative all of the staff are. They always keep the facility super clean. Such a great location. I enjoy coming to workout here.

I love this Planet Fitness. Its super clean and I feel safe coming here. However, I do a lot of HIIT/ Tabata/ Heavy weights and my workouts have been lacking due to the required mask wearing. Listen, Im 100% for the health of those around me, but I dont feel safe working out at my usual intensity anymore with a mask on because Im such a sweaty guy. It gets difficult to breathe air through a wet mask. Its kind of scary.

I went this past Monday to workout and when I got there I was stopped. I was told that I owed for December even tho the payments have automatically came out of my account every month for the last 3 or 4 years...well I told them I didnt know why but I would fix it after my workout. Keep in mind my January payment had just came out a few days prior to Monday. I was instructed that I would have to pay $5 if I wanted to work out. Like REALLY!?? I was treated like a criminal after all these years Ive auto payed no problem and didnt know why December wasnt paid and was willing and told them Id fix it and a payment just came out my account and I drove all the way up there to workout and just couldnt believe I was being treated like that...so I was upset and told them to just cancel my membership that I would go elsewhere with my business just to be told my membership couldnt be canceled. Ive got news for PF if they think I wont be able to cancel!!!

Not enforcing or monitoring mask wearing when I got here. I spoke to a staff member, he had blond hair, he actually tried to correct the problem. He is the only reason Im raising my star rating from 1 star to 3. Lets see if anyone in the chain of command can motivate the non-team players at this PF. Since the blond guy was the only one trying to do something, it seemed hard for him to stay on top of the issue. Too bad his fellow employees didnt care to help. I watched as the trainer looked right at three people wearing their masks on the chin, only. He just kept walking without one word.

Today was the first day I’ve been to the gym since we’ve moved in November coming back from the Pandemic! I felt safe and really appreciate the cleaning and disinfectant procedures. I was anxious about showing up but now I know this company is doing absolutely everything to keep the community protected!

Even with COVID-19, asking people in high risk categories to come in to cancel membership (or, you can mail via USPS —aka snail mail that may or may not actually arrive). No option for online or phone cancellations. Truly unacceptable given COVID-19 and available technology.

If you move you will have to physically go into this location, even if you live 8 hours away to cancel. Then they will withdraw another annual payment and another monthly weeks after. We will be closing our bank account as the last resort to avoid anymore theft from this incredibly shady company.

The workers are professional and the environment is neat. However, they need more and heavier weights, the music is awful and they need to sort out the challenges with their app.

Ive used Clemmons, Reynolda, and here, and I just feel most welcome and comfortable here! I live closer to the other two locations but you just cant replace a vibe. The energy at this location between customers and staff isnt the same anywhere else. This location just seems more welcoming and bright.

I havent been to planet fitness in almost 8 months & i got the courage to go today and i was disappointed. I am a asthmatic and not once did i remove my mask to work out, but I counted up to 15 people not wearing a mask or it was on their chin. The staff needs to do better otherwise a pandemic will break out in this gym & it will close down.

TERRIBLE customer service. Would not let me set up my account to not auto renew after my one year commitment contract was up, then shut down for Covid as soon as I was able to cancel because my contract was up, therefor they automatically auto renewed my account (after telling them I didnt want it to auto renew) AND charged me yearly maintenance fees for the time that they were shut down. So I was not able to cancel for the past 18 months EXCEPT for March, when they were shut down, and Im paying extra fees because of it.

I have many people there which have turned into friendships.

I love my gym. I just started working out again with my coworker. Every time I have joined this gym they were very nice and encouraging. My coworker and I just met with one of the trainers. I cannot remember his name, but he was awesome. We start our exercise plan he gave us on Monday coming up. This gym smells like sweaty something when you walk in, but like duh its a gym where people are working out. Lol. Planet fitness is the place to go. See you there.

I understand that a lot of upkeep cleaning and maintenance happens during the night with a 24-hour facility however it seems as though they would have more than one person close to the phone. I was just calling to verify their hours today because I know that they are not 24/7. Call twice let ring at least 10 times a piece with no answer. So can anyone else chime in? Open at 0430 on a Tuesday morning?

Not pleased at all with this gym. Machines need some maintenance and tanning beds are dirty and tanning lamps are old and some are burned out. Gym has a bad odor as well. Staff is nice very friendly. Out of all the PF I been to this is by far the worst. Needs upgrades and tanning beds need new lamps and maintenance. I reached out to the manager and was told they will be maintaining them soon but not sure when. Said they have had complaints before. Sounds like an ownership issue to me!

I love the program here. You can get a customized exercise program with a coach. Ryan was very knowledgeable and patient. I highly recommend this location.

I cant go to a gym that has no bars to lift. The price is very affordable, nobody can have an excuse not to come. but this is more for people who wanna stay active, or lose weight, Id not choose it to gain muscle. It is still clean and very good for the price

I used this Planet Fitness when I lived in Winston and it was always clean and well managed. I moved recently and had to call to get some info so I could change my membership and Ryan answered and and he was SO helpful and kind. Kudos to him & the staff there 👍

I am a father, I am a retired US Army, Special Forces, Black Ops type retired person.I scold those whom do not accept the fact that, as I, am now 30 some years older.I have a great daughter, that is the best, but suffers from obesity. I decided to give her a push, and approached Planet Fitness.Here is the issue.. they have hidden cost, despite their advertising.. So, as all do.You wipe down your own body fluids, well, as I observed, NOT ALL DO....My opinion may change, as my goal is to get her acclimatized, and feel better, and continue saying; see u tomorrow Dad.Now understand those of you whom see advertising of such, make your own opinion.I will continue to update.Still awaiting to meet this personal trainer.. that just updates boards, and utilizes snack break area as his meeting area.There were a few around free weights area today, personal training.. but noticed that was where there were the petite well tanned ladies... was that him..?Judge for yourself, I am hopeful this far.

I love this place! It is always clean and the staff is always friendly. I go there three to five times a week whenever Im in Winston-Salem. Thats what I love about the black card because I am in different locations all the time and I can choose a planet fitness that suits my location. The machines are always in good condition! Thank you planet fitness.

Love this gym. Never too crowded during the times Ive gone. Its about 5 years old, so the equipment is in great shape. Very clean. It appears that most, including myself will clean down the equipment after use. Plus, theres usually an employee going around cleaning the eyeliner and floors. Locker rooms clean as well. Youll need your own lock for the lockers. Hydro Massage is the bomb!

Great gym. Always available cardio machines. Usually able to grab a bench without waiting too long. Everyone is friendly. Get your pump on.

Very clean and equipment always in good shape. The trainer really helps a lot. A trainer management position who works with several locations would be great.

Great vibe, easy going with no judgement! The employees now love the customers and you feel seen and taken care of. The fact that everyone is very diligent about wiping everything down and being distant, means that the clientele is thoughtful and respectful.Can we talk about the tenderizing hydro-massage bed of the GODS? Yes indeed, that alone is worth the upgrade.

Not a bad gym with tons of cardio equipment, but it really needs more squat racks. There are only 3 and there is nowhere else to do bench press or squat. Even when it is not very busy, all 3 racks are always consistently occupied.

Change the tootsie rolls they are gummy...To many people working not to be watching whos wiping down machines after themselves ( cold and flu season..hello). Ive gotten to where I wipe down the machines BEFORE and AFTER.Other than that...its great, clean changing rooms, happy personalities working there, just need them to leave the sanctuary of the counter.

The employees are very nice! The whole building is always super clean. This particular PF is a very uplifting place to be as everyone is super friendly and willing to help! The trainer, Ryan, is absolutely wonderful and his classes are amazing!

Worth the money

I love to go and its like a grown up play ground. Meaning that you work out however you want and when you want and as long as you want. No hassle and just enjoy being in charge of my own self.

The whole $10 a month is a gimmick. But this is a great place to workout. Great facility though the fees arent what they advertise. Its a little bit more involved than what they try to make you believe as far as the fees go. If you can get past that this place is fantastic.

Very clean place, staff is easy to get along with. There isnt much here for Black card members there is always a line to use the massage chairs as well as the hydro beds. Not a big selection when it comes to free weights; its mostly machines to target specific muscles. During peak hours dont expect to be able to do squats or bench as the only three Smith press are always occupied. Plenty of treadmills to walk on. Free wifi for members, which remains usable during peak hours.

I first signed up at the Planet Fitness in Clemmons and loved it. After a few months I moved and had to start going to this location instead. There was a very noticeable drop in quality. Not only is it missing several machines that I really enjoyed using, the machines it does have are older. They lack newer features, such as the wheel to set the machine to any 5lb increment. Many of them, at a certain point, can only increase by 20lb increments, and good luck finding an extra weight plate to set on top of the stack. Also, many of them just feel old, with an odd resistance, like the chain is about to break. If I had started at this location, I never would have signed up for a year membership. This location needs new machines BADLY.

There has been a few occasions where I had put in a complaint regarding being bothered while working out by another member at this facility as well as the other PF, only to be ignored. I’ve been working out here for awhile now and find its not professional to not follow thru with a complaint especially if it keeps happening.If this continues I will have no other choice but to find another gym to go to. IIn response to your response . I have put in the complaints to the managers and they said unless they see it on camera they cannot do anything. Well I don’t want confrontation, I’m there to do my workout and go home . This has happened on a few different occasions and it’s becoming a nuisance.

Joined yesterday - purchased a membership for myself and my 18 year old daughter. Was told we could each bring one of my younger teenagers as guests to work out as a family (this was clearly articulated). Arrived this afternoon to workout and was told I could have only one of my teens as a guest and both had to be with a parent. Needless to say the membership was cancelled. Very frustrated and now searching for a family-friendly facility.

Great place! Delivers on promises -- no banging weights, no muscle-bound studs showing off. The gym fosters a sense of safety. Silver Sneakers accepted.

They have all equipment

Great hours, convenient and never crowded because they have plenty of machines! I love the massage water bed and chairs! The tanning is a great option! I wish they offered more classes like Body Pump or Zumba though. And, the traffic is not always the easiest to get out of, but overall a great place to work out!

Rip off!!! Be careful with there billing terms and conditions! If you want to cancel they have the scammiest system on the planet to keep you paying! Will never go to a Planet fitness in my lifetime! You pay for what you get! I am going to use lifetime fitness or the YMCA at least they are clear with billing and canceling!

This company has no morals or humanity. I signed up for a membership in February, I had not gone once. I ended up going to my apartment gym instead, but i still let it draft me twice and never complained to them. I planned on canceling this membership before March 25, 2018 to avoid the $40 membership fee. Well, my brother was killed in a head on car accident with a tractor trailer on March 22, 2018. I explained to the manger and corporate the situation when I came in to cancel on March 31, 2017, but neither of them cared. All the kept telling me is, “we have your signature on the contract agreeing to pay”. I understand my signature was there, but due to some unforeseen circumstances I was not able to come in 7 days before the next month, but did still come in before March ended. I am absolutely appalled by the horrible customer service, lack of empathy, and just down right cold hearted actions by this company. During this really tough time, the last thing on my mind was going into planet fitness. Needless to say, I will never give this company another dime. I would rather pay twice as much at a different gym ran by people with some human decency.

I am very pleased with this facility. Ive never been a member of a gym before so I was concerned about how I would feel. I thought everyone would be staring and judging me but as far as I know theyre not and to be honest I guess Ive gotten to the age that I really dont care if they do.

Good vibe, but no pool or anything... Just a gym. I do like their 30 minute workout, though. Its great if youre not a fitness nut and just need to know what to do next.

I am impressed because with silver sneakers I get a personal trainer for free. I just had a knee revision replacement surgery. The personal trainer will make a custom plan for me to lose weight and eat right to get rid of diabetes when my dr releases me to work out.UPDATE: Just spent some time reading less than 5 star reviews. Interesting perspectives. I did appreciate one individual telling us about old equipment compares to the gym in Clemmons. I noticed that the owner responded to a number of negative reviews with a good solution but the old equipment wasnt addressed. Hmmm

Staff is great, very friendly and helpful, good atmosphere, clean place.One thing though, why do they give pizzas away?, a lot of people strugle to lose weight and I dont think it helps.

Lady with black gothic hair seems to be very cold. She doesnt smile or greet you. I also visit two other locations and they seem very welcoming and have great customer service.

The best and most versatile gym. All ages and body types will get a great workout. Truly a no judgement gym.

No free weight bench, barbells, or squat racks. Everything is either smith machines or cable/level machines. It actively discourages heavy lifting. Dumbbells go up to 70lbs. This is not a place if you have goals beyond basic fitness.Aside from that, it is always clean and has plentiful cardio machines.

The staff is very friendly and go out of there way to be helpful and the facilities are clean and well maintained.

Great place to workout if you can get to the equipment. MOST days people got the free weights and assist machines. Socialize, linger and use their phones at the equipment instead of doing sets and moving on. The floor is not policed to minimize activities of this type.

Paid for membership and havent missed one payment. One payment 3 months prior paid late, paid renewal membership, and all payments since and go to the gym 3 months later and desk personnel did not want to give me a replacement card and would not let me work out. Stating that I owed a late fee even though they draft my account faithfully every month. So why didnt your company draft what was owed? Saying the late fee has to be paid in person, no where on the contract is that stated. Will be canceling this membership and taking my monies elsewhere.

Facilities and staff are good. Elliptical machines are basic and could be better. Horrible parking lot experiences every time I go there. Last time someone had parked 6 inches away from my drivers door even though theres a huge parking lot. Not sure if its the gym or businesses around it that attracts stupid drivers.

No problem side parking...favorite equipment!...only level 2 tanning though unlike most PF across the country, ***(Update....years later and still old ineffective outdated poor tanning. This would be a 5 star gym if it had the normal PF tanning Level 4 standups are the norm at the LEAST) GREAT hot but small showers, beautiful locker rooms and immaculate. Nice job Winston Salem PF:) But update your tanning equipment please.

I’m been coming for 2 years never had a problem, very clean, the staff super friendly and helpful, very affordable.

Its okay, for the average Joe this place has equipment and its relatively clean. The place can be busy during morning or evening hours and you sometimes have to wait to use equipment. They do not have free barbell bench press nor squat rack but Smith machines or dumbbells up to 75 lbs.

Good place to workout at. Me and my dad had a few workouts there and it was great! Clean area, good machines, etc.
