Y’all! I don’t know what I can say except if you are in need of a new salon / stylist look no further. I have attached pictures (before and after) so you can see the magic that happens here. I personally see Diana, however all of the women here are AMAZING! Everyone is so kind and professional. You will find a family feel tied in with high end salon... it’s the perfect blend! They offer so many services and online booking. The salon is easy to find and has off-street parking.

Got my hair dyed and cut here after using SPLAT. I know. And it came out great. My stylist was Kris. He took his time and made sure everything was perfect. He was also a great conversationalist. This place also sells handmade crystal jewelry!

Made an appointment online for 1pm. I get there and the stylist/barber was never even there. I was told she should be in at any moment. Waited a while, she never showed up so I left. This was my first time ever trying this place. The lady in front was polite.

I went for a haircut (a guy) and I was really disappointed with the quality. Even though my haircut should be straightforward she didnt know how to hold the comb or the scissors (an obvious indicator of someone who isnt a pro at this). The result was uneven.Both the scissors and the trimmer were dull.I am shocked by the quality given they are pricey.

After an incident with some dull kitchen shears and tik tok videos, my bangs were in desperate need of some help. I blindly scheduled a bang trim with Emily for this morning, and I am so grateful I did. Not only is she such a sweet soul with awesome tattoos, she had the perfect bangs that I was able to point to and say I want that. Thank you so much, Emily! I look forward to my hair cut in the next few weeks!

Rebecca is amazing. She did a great job with Landen who is a sensory child. He loves her. And she did an awesome job with my hair as always. It was so frizzy and dried out. I cant say enough good about Lox Salon. Thank you so much. I highly recommend this salon.

Sarah is great and takes good care of my hair. All the people there are very nice and Im always happy with the work she does. And the other stylists do a great job too.

I had two stylists from Lox come to my wedding location a couple of weekends ago to do hair and make up. For the price that I paid, I do not feel like the services I received were up to par at all. The make up artist only came with two eyeshadow pallets. I didn’t like any of the colors, so we ended up using our own pallets! She didn’t bring fake eyelashes, when I was told by the receptionist that they would be brought. She went to CVS to get the eyelashes, and my sister in law had to put them on! Also, the hair turned out average. Curls came out within an hour, ended up looking like an average, everyday hair style that anybody could do. I had my hair done by another salon for my sisters wedding, and my hair held the curls for two days after! Do not recommend this salon for your special wedding day looks. Very disappointed for the expensive price that I paid for these services

Sarah was AMAZING! I came in with 3 inches of gray roots and left with a miracle! She listened to what I wanted and gave me so much more then expected! I was a first time customer and Im so happy and will definitely be back!

Diana, hands down, was the best stylist Ive ever had. (And Ive had plenty). I dont ever get a fancy cut, but she always made my hair look fabulous, framing my face shape and making a simple style look fabulous! On top of that, she always made me feel welcomed and relaxed. Ill miss Lox as Ive moved out of Winchester! Sad that I wasn’t able to say goodbye while they were closed for COVID. Thanks Diana!

Very pleased with the service I received today, Victoria did an amazing job with the hair color that ai had decided to get. And she was also very patient with me as I had my newborn with me and had to attend to baby a few times during the appointment. I definitely recommend this salon and Victoria!

Happened to book Lox because my salon was not opening back up soon enough for me. Best haircut I’ve had in decades. I didn’t realize there could be such difference in pixie cuts. I couldn’t be happier with my hair! It’s exactly what I wanted, even weeks later. I’m so glad I found Lox!

Im out visiting from Denver Colorado for my boyfriends brothers wedding and booked a hair appointment at LOX salon. It is pretty nerve racking trusting a stranger with your hair, but Diana did an absolutely perfect job! Though she is getting out of wedding hair a little more now days (which I want to say NO to after how awesome she did with mine) I would honestly say if I lived in the area I would trust her with all my hair needs! We had great conversation and my hair looks fabulous!! Love, love, love!!! Thank you so much!

I had an appointment with Crystal today for a change from my bleach blonde long (and also very damaged and dry hair) to a dark chocolate brown. The color and cut came out fantastic. (For the cut, I just had a trim) My hair now looks shiny and healthy. I will definitely go there again. I felt it was more high end but with an almost homey feel. Extremely friendly staff. Would highly recommend.

Shelley is my stylist, she is fantastic. Her knowledge of what makes a person look good is the best. Shelley has a natural talent that she is sharing with her patrons. Shelley has colored my graying hair as well as cutting and styling it, I wont let anyone else ever style and maintain my hair. Thank you and I will be back again and again.

I visited Lox Salon for the first time in late December for a color & cut appointment with Shelley. My first impression of the space was remarkable; I had never been to such a unique salon (& I have been to MANY over the years!). Its quaint, chic charm instantly makes you feel at home. Shelley was both professional and very friendly, making my time there comfortable and enjoyable. I explained to her my vision for my color, and she knew exactly what I wanted. Not only did she give me a beautiful frosty blonde look for winter, but her cut and style skills surpassed all expectations! I met the owner Liz briefly, and she was warm and welcoming like I was a visitor in her home rather than at her workplace. I have found my home salon (& my go-to stylist!) & I will not be taking my business anywhere else for the foreseeable future. I HIGHLY recommend Lox Salon & Shelley to anyone in the area (& even NOT in the area since I live an hour away and GLADLY will continue to make the drive for their impeccable service)!!! :)

I cannot begin to explain how amazing the staff at this quaint little salon are. After meeting the owner, Liz, I decided to book the salon for my entire bridal party and myself. 1 bride, 1 maid of honor, 3 bridesmaids and 2 jr. bridesmaids. We were on somewhat a time crunch and their staff got it done. Full makeup and hair. They provided the full package and made my special day that much more memorable! Mimosas, breakfast finger foods, one of the stylists even baked us cup cakes! The styles all turned out elegant and beautiful! There was music and laughter and fun, it actually felt like the staff were long time friends! I could not have asked for a better group of girls and I am grateful to have made new friends from the salon! If there were more than 5 stars, you would have gotten them all!

If I could give higher than a 5 I would. Lizz has been doing my hair for a few years now and I am never disappointed. Ive had other people do my hair, and although I wasnt disappointed, I was never thrilled. She takes the time to explain to you the color process and the different things that have to happen to get the color you want. She makes sure you understand what she is going to do before she does it. She truly found her calling with doing hair! She doesnt give you unrealistic expectations. She is also a perfectionist which I love. She wont let you leave until not only you are satisfied, but she is too! The salon itself it very welcoming, and has a homey feel to it.

My first haircut in a year after having my daughter and i LOVE it! Lucy was amazing and gave me a very stylish mom-do which requires little styling effort and still allows me to chase my toddler. So happy to have such a wonderful experience!!

I have been to Lox a couple of times and I can say its easily one of the best salons in the Winchester area. Set in an old house downtown, it definitely has a very unique feel for a salon. Shelley is my usual hair stylist and she does a fantastic job. Even though guys haircuts are usually pretty simple, she puts a lot of care into her work to make everyone feel like they are her number one priority. Between a guys haircut and a beard trim that I usually get, its very affordable. I will definitely keep going back. And not only is Shelley great, the rest of the ladies there are awesome as well! Its a very fun and welcoming environment.

I am so in love with my hair, I met the owner after I had tried to dye my hair at home and had a horrible outcome. Liz fixed my green and brown hair and gave me the purple I had been trying to get for months! I left there with the biggest grin on my face, feeling more like myself and with more self confidence.

If you havent been to this salon, you need to! I was in a major hair rut, going to The same person way to long. Lox is the BEST Winchester has to offer!! If you are into great ingredients in haircare, getting the best cut & color from a team that is up on every trend, check this salon out. If you or your daughter want a bright pink, purple or a just regular color or touch up this is the place to go. They use AMAZING products that will not destroy your hair. I dont leave many reviews, but this place deserves 10 stars!!

Perhaps theyre great at hair, but do not go here to get your nails done. By far the worst mani/pedi Ive ever received. First off, my appointment was at 2pm; I didnt leave until 430pm. It took over 2 hours to get my nails done. 4 coats were applied to my toes and they are still splotchy and uneven in color. As for my nails, my cuticles were barely pushed back and not cut. The gel polish is all over the skin of my fingers and uncut cuticles, the tips are jagged, and numerous edges have already peeled up and chipped (and I just got them done 4 hours ago). I cant figure out how to upload pictures or I would. This was supposed to be a relaxing mani/pedi to celebrate my birthday and instead I spent $70 just to leave disappointed and have to go somewhere tomorrow to get them fixed.

TL;DR version: Decided to splurge and dye my hair. Even after the manager “fixed it” from when a previous stylist at this same salon tried to dye it, my hair still isn’t right. It’s splotchy and has bleach/brass spots popping through. My experiences were consistently bad and the manager seems to not understand the basics of customer service.Full version: I’m a mom who has spent the past 6 years only focusing on the kids. I decided to dye my hair grey as a treat for myself. I went here and the stylist was super sweet, but didn’t get my hair the desired color. She also bleached my sweater. And I watched another stylist make a girl cry, displaying zero empathy for her customer. And they got hair dye on a man’s coat (they told him it would wash out, riiiight). And another stylist seemed to be aware that my girl wasn’t going to be able to get my hair grey, but didn’t say anything to her. I just didn’t have a positive experience. Anyways, her next available appointment to fix it was almost 3 weeks out. The manager agreed to help fix it sooner, but only after lecturing me about how Pinterest ruins customer expectations and that I don’t have a cosmetology license. Yeah, I’m pretty sure customer service 101 is to not be condescending. At my appointment, she was generally nice, but spoke of inappropriate things like spanking her 12 year old step son as punishment, and later complaining about how the weird hair color trends are so annoying (uh, hello, that’s what I’m getting done? Why tell me that?). Spanking is pretty controversial, too. It’s a bit like abortion. Why are we discussing her right to hit her kids? Whatever, I wouldn’t care about any of if if my hair was grey but it’s still not right. It has weird splotches and brass/gold popping through. I’m overall less than thrilled about this experience. I won’t be coming back. And I’m mad that I need to find a new place to fix my hair.

What an absolute horrible experience I had today with Lucy. I had gone in with a picture of the length I wanted and the butcher cut off a foot instead of 5 inches. I told her how much I hate shoulder length hair on me and thats exactly what I got. Never going there again.
