JR was knowledgeable, professional, and a sweet heart. He treated us like one of a kind even though he stated he does these types of tows 10-15 times a week. Our axle broke on our boat trail less than 100 feet from the boat ramp. He was there within 20 minutes, did what he needed to do, and got us out of a pinch without any damage to our boat. He was genuine and down to earth which is a nice change for a towing company. Super happy he was able to assist us and all of our needs... with a smile and fantastic humor. Thank you JR and thank you Chris for ensuring great staff on your team. I hope you pay him what he is worth.. Respectfully, Woman with the broken trailer axle at River Landing 08/28/2021. Sorry fellow boaters!
It was a hot day ! The Azalea festival had my cousins car towed from public street parking on the day of a street fair. They live at Carolina Apts and had no knowledge of the street fair. Johnny works late nights and Shannon works 2 jobs. Johnny was tired hot and frustrated because when they came out to take Shannon to work Saturday morning there car was towed. Johnny tired, hot and sick went off on the towing company. This is very unusual behavior for Johnny who normally is one of the nicest people you ever would meet. The man who towed the car was very nice and even know he works a job that probably gets a lot of negative responses he managed to keep his calm and in the end everything worked out. Thank you for your patience!
The owner so far has seemed pretty decent, helped us out, and generally has been honest, despite the other reviews. As with many towing companies the prices are rather steep, just as a forewarning. Would definitely inquire about prices before using, just to make sure you have that money in pocket or can get it. We lost our vehicle because of this, which is in part due to our negligence as well.Other than that, the owner has been very nice and helpful, and has abstained from charging us for anything outrageous during this time.
This company showed up to the scene of a hit and run, took the car, gave us no information on who he was and where he was going with my car. Finally I found it, called to get my things out of my car and he refused because it would take him too long to get there... at noon on a tuesday... then berated people over the phone explaining that he doesnt care. As if a car accident wasnt enough, having to deal with them made it even worse...
Predatory towing. Towed my truck and trailer and wife’s van from lot next to Wrightsville SUP/Lee’s cut . Wife was walking to her car as the wrecker quickly loaded her van. Driver said he would drop her van right now for $200 cash. He didn’t even tow her car more than 10 feet. He charged me an additional $250 for my truck and trailer. $450 today. Yeah I was parking in a private lot with signs, but I honestly didn’t see the signs. Hope the owner puts up some more signs so this doesn’t happen to someone else.
PLEASE READ:Today my boyfriend and I drove to Wilmington for a day beach trip, I neglected to park in a tow free area (my mistake). Came back to the parking lot to find out my car had been towed. No one in the area could tell me who towed my car so I had to call around. Called this place and the owner was rude from the start, he said they had my car and began demanding I let him know when I could be there, I stated that I was unsure because clearly my car had been taken and I had no means of transportation at the moment. He hung up the phone on me, We ended up getting an Uber there. When we arrived there were beer cans all on the site, including an opened can on the hood of the tow truck that was operated to tow my vehicle. My boyfriend snapped a picture and the owner (Chris Howard) demanded that he delete the photo or he would hold my car until MONDAY, today is SATURDAY. He deleted the photo in front of the owner, but we kept it in our deleted photos. (I have posted it to the photos section if you need to see) He told my boyfriend to leave the premises and dealt with me further. He told me he did not accept card which he failed to mention on the phone and I had to walk a mile away to get cash for him 250 DOLLARS to get my car back. He was being spiteful at this point because I had read 150 dollars on all the other reviews. The cops were called and they said there was “no way to prove that anyone was operating the vehicle while intoxicated”. They refused to do a breathalyzer. Basically I am writing this to warn people of this man, I encourage you to record your conversation with this man so you can prove every bit of the terrible person he is. I hope this place gets shut down as soon as possible.
Chris is supper nice . Easy too get along with . Very helpful .
Honestly my story is too long to type here. But long story short JR showed up at my house at 10:30 after I asked him not to come it was too late. Proceeded to try and convince me to come outside and i refused. All around unprofessional and dishonest man. He could have simply told me he needed to come a different day and i would have been fine with that. But waking up my family and then lying to Pick N Pull about the entire situation is extremely disrespectful and disheartening.Like i said, he could have just been honest and he would have made a lot more than the $20 he made on the “dry run” i asked him NOT to do.
The man towed my truck while I was sitting in it. He charged me $300 to unload it. When I told him I wouldn’t pay he drove away with my truck. When I went to his shop he had it locked up and charged me $400 to get it back. What a crook!
Absolutely the worst business I have ever encountered, the owner cussed me out because I tried to ask if I could pick up my car and then proceeded to tell me it was $200 to pick up my car when the tow sign clearly stayed $150. They are trying to scheme people. Do not go near this company
EXTREMELY unprofessional and mean and rude. One star is giving too much credit, would choose zero stars if I could.
ZERO STARS ⭐️. Do Not go here!! This place has the rudest owner I’ve ever experienced. He towed my boyfriends car after he was just trying to help a friend move some furniture. And after that he met us to “supposedly” give us his car back but then just said my boyfriend had to apologize to him in order to get his car back. He then apologized and he still wouldn’t give the car back. We had to get the police involved after he started to cuss at us and act really immature when it’s supposed to be his own company. Overall a bad place just don’t go here trust me.
After witnessing the driver of their truck blow a red light 2 seconds after it went red, I called them. whoever answered the phone cussed me out and said its none of my damn business whether they run red lights or not.
Okay so. Im going to be completely honest. Some of it is due to my own negligence. My father passed away and I stored his car in my apartment complexs parking lot. I brought it up to then when I did it. They said nothing of a parking pass. When I moved in they said they didnt even have them - which is why I just wrote it off. Fast forward- due to some issues with gaining control of his assets/estate -frankly there arent any to be had except his truck -he was a poor man... it is a 94 mazda truck for crying out loud... Anyway. The truck sat a while -registration went up -it is a time when everyone is out of sorts. I kept brushing it off. It has been 35 days since it was towed... I get it. You have to be paid. But $1400? Youre out of your mind. Not only did I have to pay to have him sent to rest, on my own without any sort life insurance policy... access to his money if there ever is or was any. But now this. Again. I know it isnt their fault and they have to make a living, too but yeesh. $1400 ....really? Good luck getting money out of a dead man who had absolutely nothing but an old beat up truck. All I would ever want is some sort leniency... but I digress. We all know towing companies are ruthless people who make their living off of people who make simple mistakes for the most part.
Ran through a stop sign downtown while I was picking up trash in the street, I told the driver he missed a stop sign and he just shrugged me off and kept driving right towards me. Not professional at all. And after seeing the reviews online I’m not surprised. Stay clear from this company!
They pull cars out of empty lots before businesses even open. Hope they keep their gate closed
Fast, professional and reasonably priced!!
The staff is very unprofessional and are nasty employees who treat security officers very unprofessional and next time this person acts this way towards me I will file a no trespassing order against the driver if he comes to market north apartments again.
If I could put no stars at all I would. Some of the rudest most unprofessional people I’ve ever spoke too. DO NOT USE RIVERSIDE TOWING. they will screw you in every way they can.... it’s sad. Must be from out of town to have such terrible reviews! I would think twice before using them so you don’t learn the hard way like the rest of us.
$175 to recover a towed vehicle? Hope you enjoy your dinner at Ruths Chris. Dont forget to chew your food.
WHAT DO I NOT LIKE...Riverside Towing should be shut down!!!My fiancee is an owner operator who ran out of hours on his way home. Although he got permission from the store manager, to the leave the truck over night, this company towed it away without a word. We came back 12 hours later to pick up the truck & the owners response was they enforce the parking lot & store doesnt have a right to allow overnight parking. So as we all deal with a global epedimic, bring us our much needed supplies, while continuing to follow State & Federal laws. Yet, Riverside Towing uses this as an opportunity to line their own pockets with bigger tow bills. True display of unethical bottom feeding ownership.
Chris is a seems like a nice guy a little short when buisness fell through, but I believe he was trying to help us.No hard feelings.
Paid $200 to this nasty dishonest tow company. I have nothing nice to say other than beware of the rude owner that is on some power trip to swear at people and rip American citizens on 4th of July...
High prices, rude, and very unprofessional. Id rather push my truck than have him touch.
I wish there was an option for 0Disgusting isnt even the word.. the fact that you can charge 150 dollars for me to get my car and 35 to come open a gate is so absurd to me. I already had trouble getting a tire going back twice because the tire shop messed up which is why my car got towedI had to leave my car NEAR not in the Sams club parking lot. The guy who I talked to was really rude. Could tell he only cares about money. I hope noone has to deal with the same thing. Definitely ruins your day
Parked legally in a box store parking lot and inside retailing. My vehicle was was misidentified and towed away.Wrong make wrong model wrong color. He advised me that he returned it without charging me. Id hope so. It was unlawfully towed away. When i wasnt grateful for this my car was dropped from his lift and he drove off. No sorry, no nothing. The lowly customer service response was outdone only by the persons inability to actually identify a car and do his job. No confidence in this guy and based on a first impression i could not recommend his company.
Surely wish I could post pictures here. This is the most dishonest man Ive dealt with in a very long time. He damaged my property and stole every single thing that was inside. And they towed my property accidentally in the first place. Police report pending
Amazing service & amazing staff. Would definitely recommend anyone to call them. Prices are reasonable as well
Predatory tow company. Went to walk next door to the parking lot next to big lot in Ogden to grab pizza and walk into big lots while the pizza was cooking since it was a pretty long wait for the food truck. First the guy told use that we would be towed if we parked there. I told my boyfriend to walk next door and get the pizza while I went into big lots to get what we needed. When we pulled back up the tow truck driver tried to pull up to our truck to tow it. I yelled at him that we I was going into big lots and if he touched the truck I would call the cops on him for predatory towing!
This towing company is the most schemey and terrible company. My friends car was being put on the lift as soon as we were walking back to her car. We spoke with the tow truck driver, the fee to get your car before he pulls away is $150, this guy tries to upcharge us to $175 because it was my friends birthday and “she was going to be coming into some birthday money”. BEYOND DISGUSTED WITH THIS REMARK AND BEHAVIOR. Shame on this company, hope it goes out of business.
Nasty attitude will steal out your car gives you a hard time
He is hated by everyone local for being fraudulent and a predator. I would personally rather give my money to a honest company, give them a chance instead.
Parked in a large, empty department store lot during business hours and walked to a nearby business before going into the department store...returned 30 minutes later and had been towed for $150. Should not even be legal...completely predatory towing for ransom. Total POS!
Great company he saved my life when I lost my keys
Fraudulent and dishonest. This guy is a scam artist. Avoid him at all costs.
Cost to much
Predatory towing and dishonest staff
Fast service and courteous
Good
He works with you
