The Yu family is such a positive influence on my son! Id highly recommend trying out their classes!

I have been going to Dynamic Martial arts for almost 12 years off and on. It started with my oldest son wanting to get into martial arts then I wanted to do it now my whole family goes.

We absolutely love DMA! Master Yu and his family are fantastic! Our kids love taking classes there and I feel confident they are learning how to defend themselves.

DMA is awesome. Not only are the classes fun and well executed, DMA offers lots of extras like summer camps and Ninja day experiences. My daughter is 13 and loves it.

Dynamic Martial Arts is THE BEST! Master Yu is incredible with his students! My daughter has been a student for a few years and started out as a Little Dumpling from the beginning. She has learned, skill, determination, dedication and most importantly confidence! I initially signed her up because we never wanted our daughter to feel unsafe in this world. While we her parents can not protect her at all times, I have confidence that she can defend herself if need be! Mrs. Yu is simply awesome! She treats all of her students as family. Some of the more advanced students serve as teachers as well and are truly respectable role models. I love this school and imagine that we will be a part of this family for a long time! My child (9) has big aspirations and dreams of becoming a black belt one day. What more could you ask for?

The entire DMA Family is what you get when you are a student at Dynamic Martial Arts. We googled a few spots around town and contacted them and response we got from Master Yu was one with open arms from the beginning! Words cannot express how grateful we are to be a part of the DMA Family! They have taken care of their students through this entire pandemic. Our son has made such strides under the direction of Master Yu and his team. They have gone above and beyond in my book and I am so happy we made the right choice! I have gone here for a while and it has helped me gain self control and I earned my black belt. You are taught to respect everyone around you and you also have fun in the classes. You get the chance to earn more belts and become higher ranks which is fun but it’s not always fun and games it can be serious but it isn’t a bad thing when it’s serious. I recommend you coming here because it teaches you a lot other than martial arts.

Matt Yu runs a wonderful operation where his care for all of his students is obvious. Anyone should consider themselves lucky to be a part of this school thats more like a family if you dedicate your time and effort.

Our son loves Master Yus class, and Master Yu has been an excellent influence. He always makes it fun but also teaches discipline and respect. It is a great alternative to the traditional team sports.

My family just moved to Wilmington a little less than a year ago and we had always wanted our kids to get involved with martial arts for the discipline aspect. After visiting several local dojos and finding many of the price points unaffordable for a family of four, we came across Master Yus. We were immediately struck by how fun the environment was. Master Yu not only allowed us to test the class out for several weeks, but the prices were the best that wed come across without any contracts. We came to DMA as a way for my very figity son to learn focus and self control. What we got was a family. Master You is always patient and kind. He is strict and flexible when needed. He demands respect and is given it because he respects his students. In my opinion this a top notch martial arts studio. Amazing martial arts program. I have been going for about a year and a half and am about to test for blue belt, and the only complaints I have are so minor that it doesnt even impact my experience 90% of the time.
