I went here because I needed some tires installed that I had bought from the always excellent tirebuyer.com. No issues with that website, however dukes tire informed me that my brakes were bad and I needed an alignment. Calculating the price after my tire installation it would have been 1,000$ for brakes and an alignment. I told them Id do the brakes myself because I always have in the past. A few weeks later, I actually got around to replacing my brake pads. They werent even that low. And my rotors are absolutely fine. Barely worn. Essentially they were trying to upcharge me for something I did NOT need. Brake pads I could have understood but trying to charge me a grand for brakes and an alignment is insane. Also they crossthreaded two of my studs ( I replaced myself )

We brought our truck in to have the tires changed and told them if anything extra needed to be done, to call us PRIOR to doing it.. but of course instead of calling, they just went ahead and threw extra stuff in there costing us an additional $80. Once we got home we checked the lugs & all of them werent tightened all the way down. Our appointment was at 2:00 p.m. and they didnt start until 5:30 and finished at 7:30 (2 hours after closing).

I recently bought a Jeep Cherokee 4x4 that got stuck and towed as soon as I tried to get on Freeman Park. At the recommendation of friends, I took it to Dukes for a all terrain tires and a lift kit. I worked with Tori and Tracy the whole time and I cant even express how impressed I was with their knowledge. With that said, after my experience at Dukes, I easily got out on Freeman Park on a busy Memorial Day Weekend with no rain. Thank you so much!

The only auto shop in town as far as I’m concerned. Tracy And the guys makes sure the service is Done right, quick, and very reasonable pricing. Made the mistake of going to another shop just one time... Took forever and had to take it back in to fix it right.

Dukes is amazing! Have you ever had a transaction where you thought YOU made it more complicated than it needed to be? Well I did and Dukes didn’t bat an eye. I needed new tires, but also needed to bring my rims offsite to have them powder coated. They removed old tires, let me pick up, bring back, THEN do new tires. It was appreciated because I know many shops wouldn’t made me feel like a bother and they didn’t even once. Thanks Dukes, we’ll be back.

Made an appointment 930 am for 2 tires replacement. They told me me to come back in 2 hours. Came back telling me that it was only a couple more minutes for them to finish balancing, they kept me waiting for 2 more hours. 4 hours total. Manager never faced me or apologized for wasting my time all morning waiting on 2 tires to be put on. The only reason im putting 3 stars is because the young guy that was there and helped me out was very nice and saw that they made the mistake in making wait for so long. Not coming back though. I was a customer for many many years and the manager just didnt care.

Been here before for brakes & tiresso thought to use them again when my car wouldnt start. Told then when I called & when I brought it in that I had the battery checked & its probably the starter or alternator. Not 30mins later they call & say its the battery. 5 days later car wont start. This time they say its the starter. So they didnt check the starter then. They double down & say they checked the starter beforehand & it was fine. It. Im not a mechanic but I know a good starter wont up & quit in 5 days. Plus they were condescending & dimimisive. If you want a mechanic to do more than read a machine check dont take your car here. Id leave a negative star if I could.

I have been a customer for years until they informed me that after my tires were replaced by them that I had 3 warped rims. How coincidental that this just happened. I went to another tire shop and confirmed that the rims were good and the tires were bad. Tracy Duke advised me that her machine does not make mistakes. I was able to file reports through michelin and get new tires replaced with other tire shop. Years later I decided to give Dukes another chance and asked for a truck alignment with all info explained. Tracy gave me the price over the phone and I decided to go ahead and get that done. After alignment was done the price was $60 more than what was quoted. Tracy’s explanation was that it took her tech longer to align so therefore the price was more. I am sorry to say I am no longer a customer.

My Brother got a Great deal on a couple of Great used Tires.

The staff were very nice and professional. I had them install tires on a Ram 3500 dually to replace the tires with 26k miles that came on the truck new. Truck drives and rides better than than it did off the sales lot. Many dealerships and tire shops seem to have problems balancing offset dually truck wheels, not Dukes Tire. This was my first visit to Dukes Tire, I just found a great tire shop!

Tracy, Sean, Chris and Tori were great. I purchased 4 tires from Dukes and had my state inspection done at the same time. The found one thing that needed to be done to pass inspection, fixed it (no BS saying it needed lots of $$$$$ more, like some shops would), changed my oil and filter for the most economic way and not trying to sell more high dollar plans! Plus I got the best deal on tires (General APT), and installation package of anywhere Ive gone to before. PLUS their waiting area is a hoot, with the two pups to entertain! 2 days to figure out its a bad tire after they balanced it...If they knew what they were doing the tech should have see the tire wobbling on the balancer not to mention the weight he had to put on it if it even balanced out...This place is very unprofessional in all aspects...

I went to Dukes based on a recommendation from Michelin. I was treated with respect and was not talked down to. They answered all my questions and concerns. They were able to negotiate with Michelin for complete tire replacement including the spare. The facilities are awesome and you dont leave there feeling like you need a shower. I went back to Dukes and purchased a set of tires for my wifes car. I will definitely go back for all my tire needs. These guys are honest and reliable. Sears and the rest of them are done!

I came to get 2 used tires put on my car. They were very professional and helpful without pushing me to spend unnecessary money. The mechanic (Chris) took me back to my car and talked through other possible causes for my car problems and he was extremely down to earth, helpful, and friendly. Im new to the area & needed nitrogen put in my tires and someone suggested I try Dukes Tire. Im very happy with their service and have been back several times for other needs. The staff is friendly and the shop has a very nice waiting area for a woman to wait for the work to get completed. I dont feel uncomfortable there at all.A year later I come back to have a flat tire repaired and I find out the tire cant be repaired. Tracy gets me a new set of Michelin tires. They have them installed within the next hour and Im on my way. My car rides so much smoother and makes me love my car all over again! Im very happy with this tire store and will always use them for my tire needs. Its nice to know this business is there to help me when I need them.

I took my 2015 Ram truck in to Duke’s Tire Pros for a tire rotation. They have always been the best when dealing with anything that has to do with tires. I trusted them as my truck has a large lift with oversize tires. The tires only had 3,000 miles on them, so they were nearly brand new. When I got my truck back I noticed there were large chunks missing from the front passenger side tire. The technician had severely damaged the tire and had not said anything to me about it.I contacted the store attempting to get in touch with a manager or the owner. I was given the run around and finally spoke to Tracey 7 days later. I brought the truck back to the shop for her to look at the truck. Tracey said she would look into what she could do and would contact me the next day. She said she wanted to make the customer happy. Well, there was no contact from Tracey the next day, and when I finally heard back from her she said that she decided not to help in any way!The frustrating part of this whole ordeal is all of the time that I wasted. If she wasn’t going to help me then she should have just said so up front. I feel as if she just strung it along hoping that the problem would go away. Well, I own and run a small business in Wilmington and this is the exact opposite of how you should treat your customers. If there is an issue with a customer, address it immediately and attempt to rectify the mistake. That is how business should be run in my opinion. Apparently Duke’s Tire Pros does not agree.I am leaving this review so that others can how this business is run and no one else is treated in this manner. I am leaving one star, and I would leave less if I could. Fair warning to everyone out there: Do not have work done at Duke’s Tire Pros!

Ive been using Dukes Tire Service for over 10 years and have never had anything but excellent service. The people are friendly and professional, the technicians are very knowledgeable, and the facility is very comfortable and accommodating. Plus, FREE POPCORN! How can you beat that? I have to make an appointment within the next couple of weeks to get my Jeep serviced and inspected, and Im actually looking forward to it...

Took the car in late in the afternoon. They checked it out and found that I indeed needed my tires replaced (which I knew but I had been procrastinating). Been taking my cars to Dukes for five years now and never a problem. Quick service and very reasonable prices. I especially like that they can special order tires frequently overnight and also that they can do load balancing that a lot of other local tire dealers here dont do. They will recommend add-ons like TPMS service when you come in, but theres no real pressure, its just a suggestion.

Like most of the bad reviews I waited and waited. We had two cars one of which had an appointment. 3 and 1/2 hours after our arrival the first car was done. 3 and 1/2 hours to change some tires. The second car did not have an appointment and was only getting two tires done. I asked if it was gonna be long I would pass. I was told no wont be long they can fit me in. ok sweet I bought the tires. 3 1/2 hours go by they finally get first car done and over 5 hours after arrival they finally get my car done. over 5 hours is not a little while and being able to fit me in. Like some of the other reviews I was not told the sensor rebuild was optional. I was told they do it to all tires and charged me. Never was told it was optional.I specifically asked to make sure my lugs were torqued to 150lbs. it even stated on the invoice that is was done. Nope once I got home and checked all the lugs were randomly tightened so they just air ratchet then on and left it at that.I also have painted wheels and I asked them not to use a clamping type machine on my wheels. (sorry I dont know the specific names of these machines I just know there are ones that clamp and ones that dont). Once back home a few days later I removed my wheels to do a coating on the inside and dang if both wheels they changed didnt have clamp marks that broke the paint. I know specifically that before I took it there, there was no clamp marks because I had the wheels off to do the first part of the coatings.1. If you have an appointment it should not take 3 1/2 hours to change some tires.2. If you dont have an appointment and ask if it would be long dont tell someone no then over 5 hours later get them their car back.3. Dont just air ratchet tighten lugs they should be properly torqued. most people wont check like i did guess thats why they did it.4. If a customer specifically asked no to have their wheels clamped because of paint and you dont have the proper machines to do it then say so. dont just damage their paint and be like oh well.5. Apparently you need to be clearer on the tpms as several people like myself was not made to feel it was optional. Thats 40 bucks I didnt need to spend.6. And if you are having an off day at least acknowledge it to the customer. In the 5 plus hours I was there never did I get a sorry or would you like a drink on us or any acknowledgement of my rather long wait.Seriously doubt Ill be coming back.

I took my vehicle in to have 2 tires replaced. About a week or so later I started hearing a noise coming from the backside of my vehicle. I had a mechanic check it out (not thinking it was anything related to my tires) and he told me that my lug nuts were loose and that I should be thankful that my tire didnt come off! My life as well as my kids lives had been in danger and I had no idea! I wish there was a no star option!

Just moved here from out of state. Thought I would give these guys a try. Great customer service and employees. Lost my wheel lock and they took it off with no problem. Dropped my car off and within 4 hours it was done. Couldnt be happier. Not to mention the indoor mini golf hole.Would recommend to a friend and will be a repeat customer.

I have been a customer for 5 years and always get prompt, courteous competent service - no matter what the problem might be. 10/31/17 I arrived 3:50 for a car inspection expecting to be told too late for today. But instead I was leaving at 4:30 with inspection done. They even offered to renew my registration online to avoid a visit to MVD. They are the BEST!

Dukes was fast, cheap, and easy as could be. Took me about 45 minutes and $75 to get two tires on my car. Ill never go to another tire place in Wilmington! You shouldnt either. I was also really impressed by how clean and open it is in there - not a bad place to have to wait - and by how nice and thankful every person working there was. Check it out, promise you won;t regret it!

Im not a regular customer of Duke Tire, but whenever I take my vehicle to them I get the best service ever. They treat you like family and the waiting areas are spotless, the popcorn is great. My maintenance with Nissan is about to expire and this is where Ill be going for my car care needs.

They reminded me what services on my Jeep was due via my email. We made a quick Appt over the phone with friendly customer service Rep. I got there and the mechanics inspected / reported on each item on the list free of charge. We customized the list of work on what I felt was most important with no sales pressure. Work was finished in just a short while. I inspected some of the old parts and spoke to the mechanic who performed the services. I know a thing or two about cars in general and was totally satisfied and confident in the total Dukes Tire experience. Ill be back to take care of those undone items soon!

If I could rate the service less than 1 star I would. Have been a repeat customer here and after this experience NEVER AGAIN.Called to explain the problem; had service done; they didnt reset my maintenance required light. Told me, Bring it in whenever you want today. Itll only take a couple of minutes.Get there, tell them Ive left the keys in the car, the windows down.AN HOUR LATER, I walk out of the waiting room to see why I havent been taken care of, and the lady at the counter says, Oh. I forgot all about you, and laughs.Just a suggestion, people at Dukes...perhaps instead of your employees playing fetch with the dog and shooting it with the services guys, they could actually check on your customers, maybe make sure everybodys being take care of in a timely fashion.BTW...she did call a guy right away; he walked in, asked where the keys were, and took MAYBE 2 minutes to reset the light.Bottom line...lost $30 for the hour I took off work to sit around waiting and watching employees play fetch with the dog. Incredible.

I bought four new tires and got an alignment from duke about a month and half ago. A few weeks ago I started feeling vibrations from one of my tires, I figured that one of the weights from the alignment just busted off. I called duke and brought in my vehicle. They said that one of my lug nuts busted off and asked me to pay $179 to fix it! Nobody touched the tire since they had worked on it, but they refused to take responsibility. I ended up negotiating the cost down to $80, but I shouldnt of had to pay for one of their employees over torquing!
