This guy just hung up on me. Im not one for writing reviews, but I was so angry after being hung up on, I felt compelled. He was extremely rude and would not let me finish a question without interrupting. I just wanted a quote. My advice to this guy is this....If you have a potential customer on the line, listen to them, dont be rude, act like you would like to have their business, and dont hang up on them.

When I first switched to NC Coastal several years ago I worked with Hernan directly, he was attentive, professional and made sure I had the appropriate coverage needed for a short term rental. I was a very happy customer and referred a lot of business to his agency. Im not sure what happened however its clear that Customer Service is no longer a top priority. I received a notification from Katie Goodspeed a few weeks prior to my renewal date that the carrier was increasing my deductible, I asked her to see if she could find any better options. Weeks passed with no response so I spoke with another agency who was able to provide better coverage for the same cost with a lower deductible. She finally responded to me 3 days prior to my renewal date and I advised that we went with another carrier. The communication then became very unprofessional and borderline harassment, they made it very difficult for me to cancel my policy. Both women I spoke to were snotty, rude, condescending and unprofessional. I even copied Hernan on the unprofessional emails in the hopes that he could intervene and prevent any further issues however he never responded. I would highly recommend seeking your insurance from another agency!

They are nice when you are in the quoting phase for their commission. They change their demeanor when they have to advocate and actually work to protect their customers. They are paid for the life of my policy and screamed at me when I needed assistance.

A few months ago Hernan found me a less expensive homeowners policy and saved me hundreds of dollars. He and his staff are polite, efficient and really listen to your concerns. I am so glad I called when my real estate agent recommended them.

Excellent company to work with. First time homebuyer, didnt know much about insurance plans. NC Coastal walked me through the process and explained the different types of plans available to me. Very happy with the service and plan for my home.

Great agent that I talked to. They can save you money but from the quote that I got, coverages and deductibles are different. Make sure that you compare apples to apples. Nothing wrong with agency or agents.
