After many years of having the same insurance company I decided to see what else was out there. I completed a general online insurance survey and once completed I received one phone call; it was Johnny Foust who works at the Jonathan Calhoun State Farm office. I called Johnny back and scheduled a time to meet. Meeting with Johnny was like meeting with an old friend you hadnt seen in a while. We talked about life and then naturally transitioned to talking about why I was there. Johnny had already had quotes for me for my needs and also had some other quotes as options. Best thing to happen to us during this pandemic.I had been meaning to get quotes for our auto & home insurance, but never sat down and took the time. BIG MISTAKE ! Sean Hunt at the Calhoun Agency was able to give me a quote over the phone that was more than reasonable and I decided to change to State Farm. We had been with our previous agency for nearly 30 years, but they obviously didnt have our best interests at heart. I feel like, because we had been with them so long, we were taken for granted. Sean Hunt contacted new after putting in a request online. I knew I was paying too much for insurance, but all the coverage I wanted made it difficult to do a one size fits all quote and get a response from multiple insurance people. Sean took my old policy and gave me even better coverage, cheaper and in under 10 minutes on the phone. He is on top of it and I would recommend anyone to call him up and at the very least show him what you currently have and get a quote!

I have enjoyed doing business with State Farm and my Wilmington Agent Sean since early 2020. I moved to NC from MD and Sean patiently waited while I scrambled comparing insurance companies (including the one I had been with for 25 years) ! Sean basically would set up a best time to call me each week to check on my progress and if I had chosen a company. There is nothing I hate more than to have someone stalk me for my business and Sean did not do that. He also made his self available to me by providing me with his mobile number. That recently came in handy when I ended up in a ditch having gone off the interstate ! My mobile phone kept losing signal while down in the ditch and I just wanted to confirm that I had Towing coverage ! A couple days later I called to confirm that my Towing receipt was received via email and I wondered why State Farm had taken an extra xx.xx dollar amount from my bank account ($34.00 less than my regular monthly payment)! I learned from Sean that my regular monthly payment was LESS this month as a rebate from State Farm insurance related to Covid-19 !At this point I remain a satisfied customer and feel I made the best choice with State Farm for both my Auto and Renters Insurance .
