I wish I could give my wonderful insurance agent -- AMBER BREDEMEIR -- 10 stars!!! I retired and moved from Northern VA to the Wilmington area a year ago and my real estate agent referred me to a popular local insurance agent for my homeowners and flood insurance. Over the course of the past year, I was not pleased with their service; they were non-responsive and expensive.I received an on line advertisement from GEICO and decided to get a get a quote from them as I also have our cars insured with them. When the quote came back higher than the current policy, I did not follow up.However, Amber reached out to me several days later and said that the quote might be different if I dealt with one of the GEICO local branches. WELL, IM GLAD I DID!!! Amber got me better coverage at a much lower rate -- and her response time and professionalism was TOP NOTCH!! Amber, youre the best, and I cant thank you enough! Im on a fixed income and every penny counts. She was there and IS THERE when I need her most! HATS OFF TO AMBER AND GEICO!!!

GEICO agent locally in Wilmington has been very helpful and does everything that I think an insurance company should do but rarely nowadays do so I have nothing but good things to say about the agent in Wilmington North Carolina and from the conversations Ive had on the telephone with Geico agents at the main office in Northern Virginia I think nothing but praise for them

After canceling my policy, and being told I would be refunded back over half of my payment that went out I was refunded $15 dollars. When I called and addressed this with the customer service all I got was “sorry they were wrong”. If you have written agreement that you will be refunding someone a certain amount that is what you give them. It’s not my fault they didn’t do their job correctly and I shouldn’t pay for it. This was after me trying to get ahold of them for days. Unbelievably frustrating, and they do nothing to write the matter.

I backed into my own car with my truck and they refuse to cover it. They said its because the owner backed into the owned car whats the point of insurance f..... them switching insurance today!

I was looking for a better rate with my auto insurance and researched a quote online from GEICO. I asked for info by email and was very happy with rate, I decided to add another vehicle and the rate for both cars was what I was paying for one car with the previous insurer. This has to be the worst insurance company I have ever dealt with Im letting all my policies cancel today Not getting another chance after 15 times on phone calls

If you go on line to get a quote from GEICO, you have to put in your phone number. Then they dont offer the same coverage as Progressive so you DO NOT GET a quote. Then the agents will burn your phone up for months calling every day harassing you to buy insurance. Ive checked them all. You can not beat Progressives coverage and customer service.

Today I had to add motorcycle insurance to my policy after being stuck at the DMV called in and spoke with Marc Watkins he was amazing help and was able to get my policy set up timely and even proved the DMV with a fax so there was no confusion! Thanks again Marc Watkins!

The advertising plane flying over North Myrtle Beach is so loud it is annoying. Other planes flying over are not near as loud and do not bother us at all.

Writing this review so others who are like me (car enthusiast and car industry worker) sway away from this insurance company. Okay so here are a list of major cons.1. First accident under Geico. Not at fault, but paid heavily. Car was totalled Geico gave me the check for total loss claim ( a little on the low side for what the vehicle was worth) okay great, but never had my medical covered by them or got a check for my medical claim, so I owe money for ER visits and almost 2 years later never received a check from them to help me cover those cost.2. Second accident, second car coverd by them, and mind you a very nice sports car in its highest trim level (important for this part of the review). Hit and run. No big deal at first until I head to the body shop and I find out the Geico will only cover the oem base bumper (NOT OKAY.) I tried but to no prevail to get the trim correct level bumper lip that came with my model, but told me they cant do that because they would have to source for an aftermarket part (being cheap, literally no more expensive than base bumper). The bumper lip is in fact oem (Google rx8 base and then rx8 6speed GT model, huge difference.) So now Im stuck with the base bumper on a supposed to be GT car, messed my look up.3. Increased insurance rate, not by a huge margin but noticeable difference. Called to ask the reason why for the increase, got some sorry excuse based on the accident # in zipcode area, was sceptical at first so asked friends and family under Geico if theirs increased as well, guess you know the answer to that question (big no). So finally wised up and switched insurance companies. Hope this helps anyone whos deciding on going Geico.

I recently received geico auto insurance that will save me 60 dollars a month. After I received a quote online an agent called me to set up auto. They were unable to find me home owners insurance due to my dogs breed. I called the local office and Wolff was able to find me insurance and even saved me up to 20% on it. He was patient and very helpful even though I called with a lot of questions. I highly recommend this office for you insurance needs.

I was hit by a college student not paying attention who is insured by Geico. Geico labeled my car salvaged and offered me what I consider to be a joke in regards to getting it fixed. The pond that signed the paperwork to label my car salvaged said it’s just the company in North Carolina laws it’s not him. He told me he didn’t wanna be there either because his degree was in something more important. After this statement it made sense when it took half a day to a day for him to return text or phone calls with the text back. I was the one hit and instead of doing the right thing returning me to the place I was at they have backed me into even worse corners Then the college student that hit me.

I am with the comments below - Geico Corporation is very shady and a scam. 2 months into policy they randomly make an assumption and sent out letters increasing rates by double. You call, deal with it, and provide the proof they are requested so not to raise your rates. They then get that proof and make additional assumptions... Internet Team is horendous - they will communicate with you when they want to and if they wish not to address your reply they sent a Form email saying that your email address is not in there records so therefor they cannot review your email. Just a bunch of games!
