Love this company. This is the second time I have used them. Google only let me do one review, so I want everyone to know about this company and it’s people. They are a RARE FIND in this town. They have experienced people that actually fix what they are working on and not make it worse. I am a full time real estate investing coach with 20 years in the business and have coached a lot of people. The horror stories with contractors is everywhere, not just Wilmington. So, to have people with excellent communication skills, polite, knowledgeable, inexpensive, and they actually do what they say is HUGE! Great to work with. Very responsive. Showed up on time. Had the old condenser and air handler removed and new one’s installed in a few hours. Very clean. Other than the house being a whole lot cooler, I couldn’t tell that they had even been here.

The best crew around! Had them come by last winter to look at my 20 year old system that wouldn’t turn on and they had it up and running again in no time. This was after other companies would only try to sell me a new unit. Most recently had them come install bathfans vents up to code for my older home. Great prices too.

The owner himself took my call, happily went through some basic trouble shooting with me (despite my never having been a client of theirs prior). JJ and his guys did an amazing job replacing my existing AC unit. Not only were they able to replace it they also replaced all the ductwork with flex duct that they fit into the ceiling. It really opened up my first floor! They came when they said they would, and finished up when they said they would. Bill has no surprises, I’d use them again and recommend them to anyone.

JJ has serviced my heat/air pump several times. I can count on him being on time. I like that he explains what he is doing and why something needs to be repaired. He is so courteous and charges fair rates. I feel like I can call with any emergency and he will be there. I give him a 5...a big thumbs up!

Efficient Air Heating and Cooling came to my house at 8 oclock in the morning, replaced my old unit and installed my brand new complete unit (outdoor and attic units) with a much more efficient system (Ruud 14 SEER split unit). They made sure the house was like it was when they arrived. They cleaned up every bit of their trash when they were done and made sure the house was like it was when they arrived. Their attention to detail is wonderful. They paid my neighbor a $100 cash referral!! -Gerry

These Guys Rock! My unit broke while it was barely out of warranty. JJ got with the manufacturer and made them replace it without charge! These guys are incredibly trustworthy and explained everything that was going on with the unit after the severe cold. They are explained why the warranty registration is so important. It so rare to find people who are honest like this. If you dont call them, its your loss!

I have used them three times now on three seperate heat pump units. Responds in a timely manner, reasonably priced and all problems were handled correctly on the first of each visit. I have even had them replace an entire split unit. Great job on that too.

I cant say enough about JJ and the Efficient Air team. They were professional, tidy, polite, and came in on quote(almost unheard of in the construction/repair industries). They were even sweet to our children and pets. Working around twin toddlers can be tricky, but they never left so much as a nail in their reach. We got several quotes from other vendors, but JJ came so highly recommended, and now I know why. He talked me through the whole process before, during and after service, and he never spoke down to me (like some other companies did) because I was a woman. Even their subcontractors were amazing. Amazing experience with this company. Our AC started blowing hot air instead of cold, just as summer is about to start. We dealt with it for 2 days and finally called our original HVAC company who installed the system (unit is only 2 years old). After spending hours on the phone with them and being transferred multiple times and waiting for multiple people to call me back, I got nowhere. They said it would be a week before someone could come out... However, I called Efficient heating and air and they were over within an hour of my call. JJ was able to quickly find out what was wrong and fix it right then and there. We really loved his expertise in the field, and his promptness. Would definitely recommend these guys to anyone out there with HVAC issues!PS: he also stayed another 15 min when it was already dark out to answer my questions about ideal thermostats and which ones work better than others.
