Aura is a new development, so to move into a brand new apartment away from loud traffic tucked away from the main road was nice. With a new development you have to have patience for kinks to be worked out, but they keep you informed with the progress on any issue. They are working hard to find full time cleaning help, so sometimes messes would take a bit to be cleaned up. The club house is always well maintained. The fact that you get charged quite a large amount to rent the room for an event is a little annoying. I feel you should be able to just use it and get charged only if things are damaged or left a mess. I believe all the nickel and diming after charging quite a premium price takes away from the excitement, so if you’re someone on a budget pay close attention to your lease to see all the fees you’ll be charged on top of your rent. The staff greets you with a smile and maintenance workers are always friendly. If you’re gonna utilize the clubhouse frequently, this may be worth the price for you, but I’m not sure I would recommend this to friends who are just looking for a place to live. A bit over priced in my opinion.

My husband and I wanted to move into a lovely wheelchair accessible apartment at Aura. Angie & Lindsay were so helpful & kind to us. It’s a lovely, luxurious complex with a wonderful pool & very nice apartments. Unfortunately we were not able to move right now due to medical problems with my husband, but we hope to get there as soon as he’s better! It has the “Aura” of an easygoing life full of the latest conveniences! In October 2021 we made it! We moved in and we love it so far. Angie & Lindsay have been so helpful. We have found the peace & quiet we were hoping for. Our apartment is beautiful & maintenance is friendly & prompt! We love it here!

-Trash chutes same floor and trash fairies(valet trash) comes in handy. But the trash in the hallway walking home, smell is horrible.-The staff is pretty lenient. Communication could be better. Was not aware when moving out, you are required to have carpet shampooed, so that was last minute, thank goodness I found a company.-Parking can be hard to find every evening-The complex is convenient to stores/restaurants, and highway.-Elevator had problems at times for a few days had to walk a long way to unit(3), and the elevator is pretty slow waiting on, for just 4 floors. And its also rocky.-Definitely heard loud noises in the hallway late at night trying to rest, along with outside too-Maintenance from my experiences, never on time-I smelled the sewage every time flushing toilet and turning the water on from tub, that was horrible. Wasnt just from me, neighbor mentioned the same issue. Sink stops up pretty easily in bathroom. Light fixtures didnt last 3 monthsNot really worth the rent in my opinion

Aura at Arbordale is an incredible and beautiful apartment complex. We fell in love with these apartments when we visited and selected one and moved in October 2020. Overall, there are many positives but there are a few negatives. The numerous advantages include beautiful four floor buildings, new construction (windows, doors, floors, large elevators), good sized rooms and doorways, central clubhouse (with lounge, business center with computers, weight room, video room, outdoor swimming pool, barbecue grills, and big chess set), plus plenty of free parking on new asphalt! All the sidewalks in the area and concrete around the pool are new, there are trees and new mulch between various buildings, and in back there are dog walks and pet play areas. After 45 years of living in the weather-beaten Chicago suburbs where concrete and asphalt never last, its a real pleasure to see the nice areas here. In general, the maintenance staff is responsive, good, and timely in their responses to a convenient ticketing system (although they dont appear to work or respond weekends). I do miss the outstanding maintenance officer Tyrone (who always went the extra mile), who was recently promoted to another posting. But the current staff always try to be polite and helpful. There are very nice outdoor garden boxes (which I believe are free) but are under-utilized. Unfortunately, as a disabled person I am unable to use them, or else Id be growing my own vegetables and flowers! This apartment complex isnt perfect. There are folks who dont police their pets, stop to consider using indoor voices, consider how loud a repeatedly slammed door can be, or consider how loud footfalls can sound.I wish there were a community bulletin board (maybe there is one and I missed it), fellow stamp collectors to talk to, or a chance to meet fellow residents and invite them in for Sunday afternoon coffee on occasion. But overall, Aura is a particularly good and beautiful apartment complex, and we do feel honored to live here.

Do your homework before renting here. Called maintenance today (8/1/21), no answer. Halls and common areas remain stained with dog urine and are filthy. Still no cleaning services. New people moved in below. Loud thumping (Bass heavy) music played all afternoon. Dogs are disgusting and even have done their business in the elevator. Called office about issues over a week ago...NO RESPONSE. Parking access is miserable and people hoard spots. Not happy. Moving soon. Too expensive for a place quickly becoming run-down.....mostly because of the people here who do not appreciate better things.. Also, we found there are undisclosed hidden monthly fees you will be surprised by when you get your utilities statement.

Lindsay and Lina(?) did an amazing job coordinating the application process with me. Applied after close of business on Sunday night, got a call by 9am Monday morning to move the application process along. Helped me through all the way until completion. Excellent customer service.Update: So far so good. Building is spaceous, rent per square foot is competitive, very new, in unit washer/dryer, appliances are all new and run well.

Its an awesome apartment complex, but the drawback is that there is not enough parking. I come home from work every night and have to park clear across the complex, because every other space is taken. Honestly it is kind of ridiculous.

So you guys do know how to keep the buildings clean and operational? Call box, elevators, stairwells, windows and doors all clean and functional for the last few days. Just in time for corporate to make an appearance today. Its funny how you replaced the missing grill, but forgot to connect it. Moving the pool sticks across the room, so shareholders wouldnt notice they have no tips. Classy! Thanks for neglecting residents this week, so you could make the place look good for your bosses. Im sure it will go back looking like a favela within the month.

Multiple cars have been getting stolen or broken into in the past 1.5 months. complex did not say anything until the police were notified the FIFTH time. my boyfriends car was stolen with our 5 month old sons’s car seat along with my boyfriends army equipment. anything that uses water (sink, shower, and washing machine) smells terrible, i don’t know what is causing the smell from the water but it needs to be fixed. we were the first to move into our apartment and there is already mold under the sink faucets??? constant power outages without help or notification from the leasing staff. Lisa and Angie are the worst. HIGHLY WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. staff is only worried about moving people in without letting them know what they are signing out getting into. hidden fees. if you come across this listing do not move in or inquire. looks nice but is not worth the stress or the money. if i could rate 0 stars i would.UPDATE 8/12/21: Definitely would not change my rating. I feel like they only care to appeal to a certain group of people and that’s definitely not okay. My complaints weren’t heard or acknowledged when people were out til 2 am being loud and disruptive while my son, boyfriend and I was trying to get some sleep. Maintenance don’t respond on time. Smell from the toilets, sinks and shower is still really bad. They also form build up every 2 days. I don’t understand why the office people seem so busy cause whenever i went in the office to talk to someone they were rarely ever doing anything besides having a casual conversation with each other. Upkeep of the community is terrible. definitely was not worth the $1500 …now $1700.

We had a great experience with the staff at Aura. My husband and I applied for an apt. and after being quickly approved, we ended up buying a house instead. (So we didn’t actually ever move into one of their beautiful apartments). Brooke showed us around and was very nice and professional. I would highly recommend Aura because our experience was excellent.

Communication from the apartment office is inconsistent and untimely; many instances where information pertaining to something hours away are sent the day of.There were several complaints of the smoke detectors working incorrectly, to which the final response from the apartment office was that there was no more they were able to do to secure the safe working order of the smoke detector and suggested we purchase a fan to blow the smoke away from the detectors-- though the original complaint was that the alarms went off with no smoke present. PLEASE be mindful that this is not a singular issue but reported among residents at both Aura locations in Williamsburg (per maintenance).Overall cleanliness of the community is below standards, with not having a cleaning crew hired for several months. You will hear most times a neighbor enters or exits a doorway as the doors are heavy and loud. All water using appliances (dishwasher, laundry, sink, etc) omit a foul odor. The overall experience was unfortunate as the aesthetic of this community does not match the quality of the apartment leasing teams communication and support for residents. It is a beautiful community, but expensive and not worth the hassle.

We knew that trying to move during the pandemic would be difficult, but the team at Arbordale exceeded our expectations. From our virtual tour with Lisa to our move in the team was easy to get in contact with, and had a great system in place to allow us to complete the process virtually. In addition to the wonderful staff, the property blew us away. I highly recommend checking out this property.

I have nothing but good things to say about my experience at Aura at Arbordale. I originally had a move in date of 24 Jan 2020, but something went wrong and I was notified that my apartment would not be ready until a few days later. This worried me because I already scheduled a moving truck to move out of my prior residence, and had to turn the keys in the following day. The property manager (Lisa) was very helpful! She offered to let me store my belongings inside the garages on site, until my apartment was ready. She also offered to put me in a hotel at their expense. This complex is beautiful and I highly recommend it. The leasing staff is awesome, and the amenities are outstanding!

Due to their negligence in handling time sensitive situations, a family has lost almost a months worth of time in their search of finding a home. Wouldnt trust them with anything else if they cant even take that process seriously.

When we first found Aura, we were impressed with how it looked and all the amenities included in the very affordable price. They were still building, so we didnt immediately see the floor plan we wanted to see, but it was okay because we got a general idea of what it would be like. We were greeted and shown around by Angie (who is amazing and this review does not reflect her, or another girl named Brooke). I asked Angie if it was ok if I receive income from another country as well as both my partner and I working and I was told yes. I provided proof of my income and my offer letter, and my partner provided proof of his income. The problems didnt arise until another girl, Lisa, became involved. My very professional offer letter (in which I had to log onto the company account to view) was not good enough. She took a week to contact someone to confirm that the offer letter was real. After that, we heard nothing for yet another week and kept calling and calling to hear when we could move in. The move in date was meant to be Friday, January 24. We applied with the special so we could pay the pro rate for the rest of January and then get a month free. This special only applied if you move in before January 26. The days were dwindling down and getting closer and closer. Then I was told by brooke my income from another country (which was verified ..they asked for a month, I provided 4 months and told them I could go back longer and even show them a letter stating how long Ill get this income) was not accepted. When I showed up at Aura to ask, I was told by Brooke its because the dollar currency vs my countries currency wasnt the same every day. When I spoke to Lisa on the phone the next day, I asked her why and she said because it doesnt go into an American account and that the currency changes too much (maybe 8 dollars at most) I said...so if I were a developer or home owner and I rented my home out, my income wouldnt be good enough? She said as long as it went into an American account with dollars. And I said well...because the exchange rate changes constantly, the amount still wouldnt always be the same every month, so whats the real reason?...I want to take this time to say I contacted other apartment complexes in Williamsburg and they all accept income from another country as long as it can be verified and it doesnt matter if its in an American account or not as long as I have access to the account...Anyway, we were told our income should still be fine. This was on Monday January 20. We heard nothing for 3 days about our lease, so on Wednesday, TWO DAYS BEFORE we were meant to move in, Lisa finally called and said she just had to re-verify my offer letter and we should be good to move in by monday (January 27..a day AFTER the offer expires). I told her nevermind, we looked at another apartment complex and will go with them.We cant help but feel like not only was Lisa trying to make us miss the move in special, but we feel extremely discriminated against. We had to chase them up, every time we spoke to Lisa, whether it was face to face or over the phone, she spoke in this over the top high pitched voice that came across as false and fake. She made us feel like we werent wanted there. She kept checking, double checking, triple checking our credentials trying to find an error. Lisa also held out for weeks so we couldnt secure a move in date, reneged on things we were told would be okay at the very last minute and basically lied to our faces every time we asked about a move in date. It was extremely unprofessional and we stopped looking for places to live for 3 WEEKS because we were told (initially) that everything would be fine.I am extremely disgusted with the way we were treated by Lisa Keyser. Fake smiles and false promises masked in over the top high pitched tones to try to come across as kind, endearing and helpful. She is not a credit to Aura at all. She wasted our time. Period.
