We have lived here for almost a decade. The office and maintenance staff are incredibly professional and responsive. Whenever weve needed assistance, they have worked hard to provide it. Their kind and helpful attitude has been especially welcome during the recent pandemic which Im sure has been stressful for them as well. We recently signed another long-term lease and plan on staying here for the foreseeable future. The apartments are old, of course. But they are kept in good condition inside and out and any maintenance issues we have had were immediately addressed.
I lived here for thirteen months. They misled us to believe wed have hardwood, which is ultimately why we picked them over other places. The location isnt great unless you want really close proximity to Busch Gardens. We had carpeting that really did need replacing- existing pet stains and pulling up. The door frames had clearly been chewed by a dog and not replaced before we got there. Our rent was $854 a month, before utilities, which was very overpriced for the size and condition of the space (750 sq ft). The office staff was nice and Jimmy, the maintenance man, lived next door to us and always fixed our issues promptly. Just one parking space per apartment. I was moving to Richmond anyway, but I wouldnt have chosen to renew- they were upping rent nearly $100 a month. I hope they did significant renovations to the place, because someone moved in after us and if they didnt they were getting even more overcharged than we were.
I loved this place! Management was extremely helpful and the maintenance crew really went out of their way to make sure my fiancé and I were comfortable in our apartment upon move in date. Would recommend to anyone looking for affordable housing. Huge thanks to the staff for being so genuine and helpful.
I love living at Country Club! I recently graduated from William & Mary and my roommate and I were looking for a place that was affordable for 2 students straight out of college. Country Club was the perfect fit for us. Codie, the property manager, is super nice and helpful and Donnie, the maintenance technician, is very nice and works efficiently. We are very happy with our decision to call Country Club our home.
I really wouldn’t suggest this place to live. When we moved in, we were promised a hardwood floor in a different building and once it was too late to find another place they informed us our apartment had been switched. On our move in date we arrived to find windows open and maintenance inside. The man was really rude to us and told us he wasn’t finished, even after we explained that we had called the day before to verify everything would be okay. He left nails and tools in every room. For the first few months there was a problem with the air conditioning leaking and it caused mold in the carpets. (Which we were later charged for) On our walkthrough there was plenty of problems with the apartment and when I talked to the manager she said to write them down and send them to the office. We did. There was a switch in management by the end of our duration and I explicitly asked if I would be charged for the previous damage and they told me they could find no record of the paperwork I’d submitted. I gave a brief rundown and was told it wouldn’t be a problem, however once we moved out they charged us around 3,000 dollars for the damage that previously existed. And we have not been able to reach them to discuss it with anyone. They also have a problem with huge flying roaches, and no matter how many times we complained nothing was done to help. Please do not move in here, it’s not worth it.
I have lived here for what feels like the beginning of time. My experience has been really good. There have been a few changes during my time but I have never had a concern that was not addressed. The office manager is always availble and ready to help and the maintenance guys work hard and keep the place clean. My neighbors have also been here a long time. If you like peace and quite this is it.
I love the location. The office staff is really helpful and the amenities are nice. The pool is great in the summer, maintenance is speedy with requests, and its only 10 minutes from my work. I lived here for over 3 years and i still enjoy the apartment. Overall i recommend living here.
Honestly the only good thing about this place is my roommate. I cannot stand living here our apartment is full or roaches, we ask if someone can come and treat it and they say it’ll be a few months. Our shower has been broken numerous times. Our electricity on one side of our apartment went out and it took them several weeks to fix it. The apartments are small and not that great. The one benefit is our carpet was new so that’s nice, but with all the roaches and other problems I really do not care for this place. I think the name is very misleading because you think it is going to be nice because it’s called country club apartments but it’s not ROACHES EVERYWHERE. If someone has roaches it shouldn’t take several months to come and treat it it should be done ASAP. They have still failed to address the roach problem.
I lived in this community for a year with my girl and recently relcoated to a place more convenient for both of our jobs. It was always quiet and honestly we had great neighbors, we rarely heard anything from them outside of maybe coming and going. Our apartment was nice with some updates and plenty of space for us. The best part was the electricity wasnt crazy high but, the sewer bills for some reason was higher than water 😐. I think this is a very nice place to live away from all the traffic and noise plus maintenance and the office ladies were great.1
Very tranquil community with plenty of large trees and a peaceful nature feel. There is a big dog park and a nicely-kept outdoor swimming pool.
I chose this apartment complex Because of the location. For one of the best school in York county. I have lived here for two years, and I had have the worst experience ever. I have lived in a lot of states different places and I have ever experience things like this. At least three to four time per year I was dealing with water damage and mold in my apartment.& I probably saw 15 water bugs the whole time I lived here. Maintenance just wants to paint over the problem and not fix it entirely. The vents are disgusting. The manager, is rude and I don’t they really care about how they fix things. I wouldn’t recommend these apartments. Good luck to those, that are going to risk.
I love living at the apartment complex. Great management and maintenance team. Highly recommend!
Due to limited money at the time it was the it was all we could do for the first month. Extremely small apartment for that much money. Not to mention they were terribly outdated. Carpet smelled like dog pee. Chewed up bathroom doorway. Never kept the heat/air inside. Terrible molding job in the bathroom and it was unfinished as if they had one day to remodel the entire place. Maintenance are good guys but they need to do the job 100%. The insides of the drawers and cabinets were dirty as well as barely attached to the counter tops when we got there. And they charge outrageous prices for everything. Overall bad experience with them. Would NOT recommend this place to anyone unless you like overpaying for a small, barely finished, dirty apartment. Glad I got out.
Really a wonderful place to live. Never had any problems here. Great staff
I really love the complex, and I have enjoyed being a resident here. Also, the office staff has always been really helpful.
Love the apartments here with the hardwood floors- such old style charm! Location is very convenient if you travel on 64 often.
This apartment community is great. The property manager is really cool and down to earth, great to look at too;)
Good value for the money. There have been several inconsistent statements made by staff that make one question integrity.
I have lived here for 2 years, since Feb 2015. Theres certainly nothing fancy about it, but its the cheapest place Ive found to live with my kids in the school system I want (York County), that is also safe. The office has always been friendly, and although I havent needed them often, maintenance has been very prompt and courteous when needed. Its apartments, so noise level is only going to be as good as your neighbors are, but the majority of the people Ive met here are families and mature working folks so noise isnt normally a problem. Ive had no issues at all with any sort of bugs, the grounds are well kept and clean, and my apartment, while somewhat dated is quite acceptable for the price. The one thing that really sets them apart from other places Ive lived is the offices involvement with the community...in my time here they have done things like easter egg hunts, decorating contests, bingo night, holiday breakfasts, etc. Its above and beyond what I would normally expect and adds a nice touch to living here. Lastly, if you have any sort of commute involving 64, the location is awesome. Quick interstate access so you can get on your way sooner.
When I moved in base rent was 779.00 with an additionla 70-75$ per month for utilites.... today I received my rent bill and am being charged 61.00 for sewer alone brining my rent to 887.83$ Every month its a different amount. If youre looking for a place thats afforable and has consistency I would look else where.
Beautiful community, and very helpful and knowledgeable staff!
The apartments are outdated. I’ve had a very bad mold issue and leakage from upstairs that happened four times that took awhile to replace.
Country club is a beautiful community, I highly recommend it!
Small and overpriced, air vents have hair and dirt caked in the vents, everything is extremely out of date, Roaches, ants you name it they have it. Maintenance has no idea how to finish a job 75% let alone 100%. Overall worst apartment complex Ive lived in and will be finding anywhere else to move as soon as possible .
Awesome place to live !
