These guys are very helpful. I brought my car in to have a tire repaired, that wasnt holding air. They didnt just help with that one tire. They checked all of them. Come to find out my tires (that looked good on the outside) were cracked on the inside wall, where it couldnt be seen. So, I could have gotten stranded at any moment. I was very thankful to have gotten their help. I do a lot of middle of nowhere traveling. Thanks to them, I didnt have to call for assistance.

Ive had my Toro mower serviced twice. Both times the bill came slightly less than the estimate. When I need simple DIY parts I take a picture of model/serial number tag on my mower, show the parts guy and they have the part in stock. Knowledgeable, friendly, professional.

I dropped off my car overnight because I work nights, they told me to leave it …. No key drop box. Was the first issue. Was supposed to get an alignment before my out of town trip. They did not call me to pick up my car until closing time. I was in a hurry about to go out of town I didn’t notice that they had put on the sheet that the dash lights were on already. There was no dash lights on prior to me leaving it there. When I was leaving I noticed 3 dash lights on I went right back and asked them what was going on. They insisted they were on prior to service I told them this was NOT true. He argued with me said the garage was now closed. Told me to bring it back the next day I reminded him I would be going out of town didn’t have time for that. Immediately after leaving I took to another shop, they told me the alignment wasn’t done correctly that is why the lights were on. They adjusted the alignment for me, lights went off. Haven’t been on since! I took the print out from the other shop back to this shop still didn’t believe me, wants proof nothing else was done to the vehicle. I used to refer ppl here I will NEVER again! I won’t be back!

Went in to Purchase Honda mower and got what I needed. The Staff was very friendly and knowlagable of there products. They registered my warranty so I wouldnt have to and went through the break in procedure of the new mower. I would have never got that kind of service at the big box Home improvement stores. My visit ended with picking my mower up at the back of the building from the mechanic/warehouse Employee who as well had great customer service skills. These guys hit a home run with me and looking forward to future visits for purchases of items for yearly maintenance of mower!

Spend your money to get treated like a second class citizen! The folks here have no time to clarify turnaround time (watch for the sign because they wont mention it) or acknowledge when they have made mistakes (like lying about leaving a voicemail). Ive never been yelled at over the phone by someone I was paying for a service before. Rude!

Went in to get my tire pressure checked. They were fast and polite. The mechanic checked the tire, explained the situation to me and applied a fix within 10 minuets. Despite the severe cold weather, he still took his time to investigate and properly fix the issue.

Horrible customer service from Todd. I will not be back. All over a $40 second repair bill that should have been fixed the first time. They said the carburetor on my weed eater needed re adjusted after I used the repaired trimmer 3 times. They changed the gas when I already had fresh gas in it. They obviously didnt repair it correctly in the first place. Oh well. Time to go somewhere else for service and the purchase of new equipment in the future. Word of mouth travels fast. They must be making so much money they dont care. I was a loyal customer for years. Sad!

Have had previous experience with this business in the past which was ok. Needed a part for mower that I was repairing and could order online or see if Jims tire might have it. Since there was no part number per manual gave a detailed description of what I needed. It would be two days wait which sounded better than a week or more. I paid for the item and two days later it arrived as stated. The problem was it was the wrong part. The person behind the counter insisted it was the description I gave him which I insisted it wasnt what I told him. He stated that the part was now mine and it couldnt be returned period. I now have a part that I dont need which could be returned if I had ordered online. Needless to say this business has lost a repeat customer over a $10 part.

I was visiting from Denver In January for my young daughter’s skating event when my tires started to go bad because I had been lied to from the Ford dealership in Denver about aligning my wheels. Jim’s tires not only safely changed my tires but fit me in for an alignment. My husband was upset thinking that I had gotten scammed but after doing some research he too realized how unsafe Ford dealership had treated me. I am very thankful to find this gem of a family auto service. I was traveling with two infants as well, I was treated kindly and given a great price on the tires and the service work. These gentlemen were very honest unlike the Ford dealership.

If youre out looking for a used lawnmower, I recommend you skip this place. The push mower I bought here one year ago quickly developed major problems and was nearly worthless. Now I know why there was no service warranty - not even for 30 days. Lesson learned and I hope to save others a similar, negative experience.

ONE STAR BECAUSE 0 STARS IS NOT AN OPTION!!! I bought a mower from this company in May of last year. I used it twice before having to take it in and have it serviced. I got a new phone and number on June 5th of last year, called them the same day to update my phone number so they could call me when my mower was fixed as they said it would be around 6 weeks before they could get to my mower. They didnt properly put in my phone number and it was one digit off so when they tried to call me they were never calling the right number. I have called them multiple times over the last several months asking about my mower as it is almost that time again, but have been told multiple times that they would research and see what was going on with my mower. Finally last week Jim was able to give me an answer. They sold my mower in September because it had been there so long even though I had been calling trying to figure out what happened with it and nobody knew a thing. Funny how I can get an answer AFTER they sell it and make double the money. I asked what they could do to make this right and was told that they wouldnt be doing anything at all. I am so disappointed in this company and hope that nobody else is taken advantage of as I was. Photo included is of the voicemail they left. It has s few incorrect words due to voice to text configurations.

Ive been taking my Chevy pickup in for repairs and am very happy with my experience so far. Phil, the service manager, has been very helpful with only repairing the things that are pressing and helping us understand what can wait. So far they have proven trustworthy.Curiously, after one repair I was stranded on the side of the road, and I think most people would have blamed it on being in the shop the week before. I diagnosed the problem myself and discovered it was a bad fuel pump. Being a pickup I was able to tilt the bed and do the repair myself. Its was clear that the pump had never been messed with before so it wasnt because the shop did something wrong. I was reminded how hard it can be for the average person to tell why things go wrong when they do. Its important to know who you can trust.

First off, I am purely a customer and not affiliated with this company in any way. The reason for my raving review has to do with some very simple concepts: They have knowledgeable, reasonable, and capable long term employees so I am not dealing with someone new every time I go in. They respectfully do what they say they are going to do, including reliably answering the phone and calling me back. Their prices are always either lower than the competition (and I do check), or more than fair for the service or product I receive. Over the years with Jims I have purchased everything from lawn equipment to tires and even grilling pellets, been through their equipment service department, and they now also service all of my vehicles. It is very nice to have a reliable local company like this to help me out when I am in need. I have recommended them to my friends and family and anticipate continuing to do so for many years to come.

I don’t enjoy writing this review as I have been a loyal customer for over 20 years. About a month ago I had a tire go flat while driving on Kellogg so I had my car towed to Jims. Since I am very particular about this car I stayed close to the tow truck driver during the loading and unloading process. I decided that since the drivers front was likely ruined and I was about due for tire anyway I would go ahead and have all 4 changed while I was there. The tires had to be ordered so my car set there overnight. The tires came in the next day and were installed but when I went to pick up my car there were 4 large scratches down the drivers side extending from the door to the rear quarter. I had a friend at the body try to buff but they were too deep and will require a repaint ($1400). I was told that they reviewed tapes from in the shop and couldn’t see where it had happened “inside” the shop so they were not responsible for the damage.

Steer clear. Took my suburban in to have a.c. serviced. Long story short I paid them about $300 to fix it, a couple weeks later it was blowing hot air again. Called and told them what was going on, was immediately called a liar in a round about way. They looked at the truck again and said it was now leaking from one of the hoses. I asked them why they didnt leak check it before it left, they said they dont leak check every vehicle. I took it to another shop who said the vehicle still hadnt been leak checked as he did not see any dye in the lines. So how would they know it was leaking from one of the hoses? Bad experience, will not go back

Be careful before you buy. I return good parts back to Jims and was told that they charge a 15% restocking fee for the small items I purchased! They said it is stated at the bottom of my invoice after I made the purchase. How is that disclosure before purchase? The manager was unreasonable and rude by making the comment keep shopping on line.

Bought a mower here last year. The salesman said after 5 hours bring the mower in and they would change the factory oil out since the manufacturer says to. They made it out to be a factory service but now they are saying it is a $40 charge, not free. They also say that the mower has irreparable damage to the engine after 1 summer. Would not recommend.

They charge 85.00 for synthetic oil change. Other places only charge 55.00. I told them never mind. They told me it’s too late. 10 to 15 min later, they come back in and told me they broke an oil cap. It will be another 28 to replace a the cap. They told me it’s bc the previous place put the cap on too tight. I was really upset that I have to pay for the cost. Instead of apologizing the blaming it on previous people. None of the staffs willing to talk to me Bc they don’t want to get involved. He said he don’t want to get involve in this transaction, not his problem. They told me it will be a 40-45 min oil change. More than 1.5 hours later and still waiting. I’m writing this while I’m waiting. I’m scared that they might do more damage to my car. I just want to leave this place but I can’t. Bc they are still working on my car. I feel so hostile right now and can’t do anything about it while I’m 8 months pregnant. I understand thing happen but I don’t think people should be treated like this. Horrible experience ever with an oil change.

I have used their service department for my lawn equipment, and had them preform routine service on my truck as well. They also carry BG Products, which I prefer to run in my diesel. They have been good to work with and I would recommend them to others and will be back.

Had the wrong part given to me, returned the part in exchange for the correct part. I was basically told that I installed it wrong. And I had the right part. After some reassurance to the parts counter, they looked up the part and found it to be the wrong part. With a little gulp if pride swallowed, I was given the correct part. Glad its over!

I called to set up and appointment to have service done on my mowers. The woman on the phone said Id need to leave the mowers there (for service) so I loaded my mowers up from my house and my rental and took them down. When I arrived some dude sporting a perm told me itd be a 3 week minimum to get the mowers back to me. I stated I sure wish Id have known that before I spent an hour of my time loading mowers and coming down. He remarked with great customer service skills, yeah, maybe you should ask how long itll be next time before you bring them down. Right, because I can have a car in and out of the shop in a day or 2 in most cases but you geniuses cant get my mower back to me until December. No wonder their rating is so poor.

Went in to get my tires rotated and balanced. The guy at the counter asked me for my phone number 4 times before he got it right. They told me it would be done in one hour. I said great and I will be accross the street having lunch. I came back after an hour and they said the tread was too worn and they did not do anything. I asked them why they didnt call me back and let me know this instead of wasting my time. He paused for a moment and said that he had copied the phone number down incorrectly. Their excuse was everyone makes mistakes. Poor customer service with little regard for common courtesy.

I purchased a new Toro ZTR this summer and have always been a Toro owner for my lawn equipment. After a few hours I started having issues with the L/H hydrostatic drive. Took it into Jim’s for warranty work and was a great experience. All covered by Toro and fixed in just a couple days and they helped me load it on my trailer. I highly recommend Jim’s for sales and service.

My Fiance took her car in to get a nail hole repaired. They failed to explain how they were going to fix the tire and simply put a plug in. Anyone who knows anything about tires knows this is not the right way to fix a tire. They did not dismount the tire to inspect it or anything. They put the plug in within 5 minutes and didnt even offer to patch it correctly. After calling to complain they were unwilling to do anything to fix the situation. I am very unsatisfied with this shop and would steer clear of them at all costs.

Up untill recently I thought they did a fair job, but this weekend they forgot to tell me that they close at 3 pm on Saturdays meaning that because I showed up to pick my car up at 3:40 I will have to go without a car for the entire weekend. They have my number, but only called once, and left no number to call them back. If they had told me, I would have not came back past 3, and would have considered it my fault had I done so. They also left my car unlocked in the parking lot.Update- 3 months later I just brought my car into the Honda dealership I bought it from to have it checked out because the noise was back. Found out that the repair was done incorrectly. The ball joint had the cotter pin still in, but was never tightened down all the way.

I took a edger in to have a new push bulb & a tune up. So I pick it up on 6/2/ 17 took it home to use it. Started it up start edging the driveway & it dies couldnt get it started again so I finished with the string trimmer. Tryed it again the following weekends with the same results. So I take it back some time in july get a call yesterday to pick it up. Picked it up 8/12/17 & they charged me $40 on it & I paid $90 the first & it wouldnt stay running. Tryed to say it was bad gas, I put the same gas in my trimmer & blower & they run fine. So I told the bug eyed guy at the counter that for got to put his BRA on before he came to work that Iwont be back. Ill be taking my business else where. #PUTYOURBRAON

I purchased a Toro 3216 ZTR Mower in Spring 2015 ($2,700) to replace my 12 year Toro 3814 Wheel Horse tractor in great shape. I also have a 3 year old Personnel Pace mower and Toro Blower. In August 2015 my battery went dead on the ZTR I just purchased. I called Jim’s Tire and the front desk forwarded me to Brad (service manager). Brad advised to bring it in for exchange. Altough not happy b/c I had to use my gas/time, I conceded to bring the battery in. After the exchange, I ask Brad how to change the oil. He said I should have received a tube with the paper. I told him I didn’t recall a tube, but would check. I checked the plastic bag with manual (picture available) and a black wash out attachment. That’s all I received. THAT’S IT. I also want you to know that three (3) of my close neighbor’s purchased Personnel Pace mowers last Spring from Jim’s Tire. I called the customer service and they said I could Buy a oil drain tube for $6.00. I also talked to Brad and we had words! THIS YEAR, I PLAN TO BUY A BAGGER KIT (~$500.00) or another larger new ZTR b/c we’re moving to a bigger house. I will not be purchasing the Kit or new mower from Jim’s!! I purchased the clear tube from Ace Hardware for $3.00. We live at 29th and rock and will use the West side for service and parts.

I came in for service on my car. I was enformed about their BG oil changes. The benefits of the product to protect my engine and give me a safetrak card for free with service. After I drove it for a while I noticed it also gave me better gas mileage. I was very please with the service. I will tell everyone about their service.

My husband bought a Stihl leaf blower here and the rope pull disengaged twice which my husband paid 38.00 each time to fix. When he took it back in for 3rd time he said it should be restrung and he didnt think he should pay. They refused. Horrible customer service and their product was defective.
