Well I was supposed to moving in on 9/23/2021. I got the keys and after went in to the unit, what I found was a bad condition unit. Didn’t clean, holes everywhere, spider webs, stinky, never replace a/c filter, tub rusty and with mildew, shower head with a hole, rusted sink, counter top peeling, a/c vent with trash, holes in the doors, cables hanging on the basement, you name it. Talked with the property management and they said everything will be fix in one day. I went back to see the repairs and pretty much they only touch up with different color just to cover the holes. The bath tub was supposed to be resurfaces and they did a bad job. That main bathroom was cover with spray paint everywhere (sink and flooring). I was trying to be transfer to a different unit but they said they don’t have another unit available. However, they keep saying the apartment is livable and I don’t think so. I give them the option for four more days to complete the repairs but doesn’t want to cause they said the unit is functional and I can moving while the maintenance repair the issues. After that I didn’t want to live there and they want me to pay $3,000 just to break the lease. Thats no fair cause, look like they never inspect or walk through the unit to make sure everything were fine before I got the keys. This situation is frustrating and disrespectful to my family and me.
***Thank you to Management!!!! You have come to the rescue and helped this complex out by moving out the homeless!! Thank you for your quick response!! I hope this place gets cleaned up one problem at a time!!! Thank you again!!*****They are homeless people to live in the parking lot and they have not done anything about it. Us residents are fed up with no parking anywhere. They say they have a permit system but they dont. Talked to security and they said they are only taking money but not enforcing it. Horrible management!
Over priced, rat infested, fees they dont bring up then after you sign lease and move in you getting with all these charges. Cant find parking, Loud music, fighting nothing ever gets done about it, a young girl even died there from domestic violence you would think they would of learned from that to address issues. I could go on and on
This is my sixth year living here. I have seen many property owners and managers, good and not so good times. But right now, we feel very comfortable with the service we receive. The whole staff is very friendly and always ready to assist you. I highlight Reinas great work . She goes far and beyond to provide the tenants with the best leasing experience.
Dont come here, Hannah at the office is rude as they come. They are only worried about ripping people off, not hiring the maintenance that they need & will not fix any issues. The cops are here at least 3 times a day, trash is everywhere, bugs inside & out. WHAT EVER U DO DONT FALL FOR IT. They say the basement is done (a lie) they will get you for what ever they can.
I want to give thanks to Reina, she gets things done when it comes to maintenance, renewing lease, etc.. I had my Ac/Heater broke down one time(which is an emergency repair) and reported to the manager and it went by almost 2 weeks without fixing it and being told lies until finally Reina came back from her sick leave and she got my AC/heater fix the next day. Reina is the reason I decide to renew my lease because I know there is someone in management that cares and get things done!!
I want to take the time to give Reyna the Thank You she deserves. She has always been so nice to me and my family and has always helped us with any inconveniences we have had in the apartments. If you are looking for a person that will listen and get things done ASAP, she is the one.
This community is horrible. I would not recommend this place to anyone. The office staff never answers phone calls or returns messages. The rent portal to pay the rent is never correct which results in them putting demand for rent notices. When you paid the full amount on time of what is shown on the rental payment website? The trash overflows the dumpsters all the time. Instead of adding a few extra dumpsters.
Very disappointed, viewed model home. Very beautiful, we leased a similar unit, most updated. Moved in yesterday, linen closet is missing door, porcelain sinks are busted, grout is peeling from kitchen, tub is chipped, floor squeak throughout until, there is paint spots all over floor, and so many other things. Very Very dissatisfied.
Id give 0 stars if I could, worse complex Ive ever lived in. From management to maintenance of the property. They charge far too much for such a terrible environment.
I want to thank Reina for being an excellent person ... every time I have a problem in my apartment, I go to her, she tries to solve it quickly ... and that is why just why is she going to renew my contract ... I like it this very quiet place to live.
Ive lived here 8 months and I love it. Its clean and the neighbors are friendly. Its also kid friendly. (My 13 year old and 8 year old love it here!!) Its quiet at night. Its definitely worth the money were paying which is about $1,780 for a 3 story: 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom with a full basement. We renewed our lease in February for an additional 18 months.
Seriously, I dont live here... but you have a Serious trash problem! And the area is infested with rats. Ive never seen anything like it
Office staff very helpful everytime I call in. Maintenance is very friendly when they need to enter the residence for repairs. Groundskeeper is very friendly and keeps the property looking clean.
Loved these Town homes! Wonderful place to live! Moving because I bought a house. Thanks to the staff for taking care of me. You are the best!
Stratus is a great place to live. I have been here for almost a year and the new management is awesome. Maintenance is great the 2 guy are really fast. Anytime you put in a work order they are at your place asap that is what i call great service. One other thing the guys will always smile at you when you walk by it just makes me feel so warm inside. The office is great as well they are always ready to help with what ever you need help with. The new team works together as if they are family thats what is making me want to stay. Thank you stratus team for making me fill at home.
They allow pitbulls, huskies and any dogs that isnt allowed everywhere else! theyre all over the complex! if you have one and are struggling to find somewhere that allows them this is your place! i see at least 5 different ones a day
We lived in townhouse 16E with the exception of Destiny failing to deliver our new adress to Reina the property manager so we could get our $300 deposit we were told we would be getting via phone call 1 week after our move out on 9/13/20 we called about 3 times she had forgotten everytime she assured us she would deliver the message to reina assuring we would receive a phone call in return We were never contacted I will be reporting this to you’re corporate office Echelon Property Group.... what a rip off other than that not a Terrible place to live
If you are looking for maintenance, they are hiding out somewhere texting on their cellphones. I actually watched these two sit there for at least 45 minutes around 10am while I was gardening. Please do not rent here, please, there are so many other places to rent from, these people are scam artists, they dont care about you and your needs. They actually just sent out a letter that said Maintenance would be able to assist in your needs if they werent so busy cleaning the property. I mean, I cannot even believe they said that!! Sunset Ridge is clearly a piece of trash community, their maintenance does not care to get anything done and they actually charge you for a convenience maintenance fee on top of your rent and for WHAT!! The grounds have remained messy, trash is still everywhere. Count down till my lease is up!
EDIT: We moved out back in April 2021. The move out process was simple and the communication was great. We received a refund of our deposit within less than 30 days and the charges were very fair. I would still recommend them to any friends or family in the area.So far we are really enjoying living here. When we were first looking for a new place last year we avoided coming here because of the bad reviews. But the value and the space was too good too pass on. Weve been here since New Years and plan to stay at least another year. Having the basement is huge. The new management is trying to improve the property and it shows. The parking lots are tight and finding parking late at night can be difficult. The trash situation has drastically improved over the past few weeks. We have a new trash company now and I don’t notice trash around the property as often. I appreciate that management was willing to go through the work of changing vendors rather than being complacent and letting the issue continue. The manager Brittany is great, and I have enjoyed working with her. She is competent and understanding. I really appreciate that they have been accommodating for my dogs needs during maintenance and inspections.
The staff Is Amazingly kind & helpful. The grounds are well kept & beautiful & its in a great location. I have enjoyed living here & look forward to continuing to live here.
The new management has been very helpful and involved with the community. I love the holiday parties they are hosting! They have completely turned this place around and truly care about making this the best place to live!!!!
We are going on our second year living here. The first was horrible. Im not even sure how many management companies we had. We werent going to sign a new lease but then Echelon Properties took over. Everyone of them is absolutely amazing!! Things are changing for the better. My maintenance issues i had for months are all taken care of. Brittney and her staff are working their butts off to improve this property. Hats off to all of them. This was a rough property to take over but they are rockstars!! New landscaping and garbage areas are in the works as well. Glad we chose to stay another year. From 24H we appreciate you!!
I’ve lived here for 3 years, I had lots of problems with the previous owners. But these new owners are doing a great job in all areas, and they are all very friendly.. I would definitely recommend these townhouse to my family and friends!!!
The staff is very helpful and friendly. This is my first time living in an apartment and its been a great experience by far. It is also very family friendly.
I stayed at this apartment for around an year and I enjoyed living there. Management is responsive towards the work orders, Staffs are friendly & co-operative. Great play area for kids, good swimming pool, enough parking lots. Awesome location for public transportation.
Weve lived here for 3 years now it was kinda rough the new management that has taken over seems to be getting our all smoothed out. Only 4 stars because there are a couple charges in the utility portion of the rent statement that really should be optional but are not. I dont want to pay extra fir a trash valet service, my children are perfectly capable of taking out the trash
This is a review of a positive nature. This review speaks volume of what my family has had the pleasure of experiencing while living at Sunset Ridge Apartment Homes for the last few months. I cannot speak for everyone, but I do want to express loud and clear that I am exceedingly pleased thus far to have chosen Sunset Ridge Apartment Homes as a place I now consider home. The staff are amazing, they are extremely kind, very professional and knowledgeable. I have had the pleasure of communicating with the Jenna, the Property Manager, and Travis. The Maintenance Supervisor of which both are exceptional and irreplaceable individuals in my book and an asset to Sunset Ridge Apartment Homes, going over and beyond their normal call of duty. I have always believed that Staff members are an extended representation of the management company they work under, so this is saying a lot. KUDOS to Sunset Ridge Apartment Homes and Roscoe Properties! I wanted 2017 completion to be on a good note by sharing my incredible experience as a resident of Sunset Ridge Apartment Homes by recommending you check it out and experience good living in the coming year. Happy 2018 Renters.
This place is really cool. The new management company and the maintenance guys are on it. They made me feel like part of a community rather then just a unit number. The way they handle stuff is very professional and full of grace. I was thinking about moving but now I’m staying. Thanks so much for all you have done for me
Ive been here for 5 years. Ive seen at least 4 property manager companies. I have to say that the current staff, specially Brittany the manager, and her team, Reyna and Johanna had excellent communication with the tenants, and are always ready to solve any issue ASAP. I was leaving after my contract expires...but now Im considering to renew.
We lived here for 2 years. Had cockroaches from the start. First management company sent out pest control twice and then nothing more, it didnt fix the problem. It finally became to much and we went back to the office, they treated for 3 months straight and the problem only got worst. They didnt listen to us regarding where the problem was coming from and troubleshooting that. There is cockroache issues in multiple bulidings as well as bedbug issues. They lied to us about how we could handle the issue in order to try and lock us in for another year. I would stay far away from this place. For multiple reasons. And stay far away from 24E, weve heard from a trusted source that the cockroaches are still in the unit.
Since the new management has taken over we have seen a really improvement in customer service. You can tell they really care about their tenants. The property has also improved remarkable!
This place is great. Everyone is super nice. Maintenance is wonderful they always get everything done right.
This wasnt a terrible place to live, but just ok. When we first moved in, the management was fine. Once a new owner took over, theyve changed management companies I believe four times now. With every management change, the tenants have to sign up with a new pay portal and a new fee structure for utilities. People just want a safe, clean place for their families to live. Pay your rent and and live your life, not have to worry about the owners being unable to secure good management. The tenants are the ones who have to deal with the fallout of the owners being negligent when it comes to knowing how to run a multi unit property.Im very suspicious of the 5 star reviews. The favorable reviews suddenly appeared when Echelon took over and I believe that management company has now been replaced as well. Really? With all the wonderful reviews? And, Changing the name from Sunset Ridge to Stratus, well, it will take more than a name change to rid yourself of the reputation this place has made for itself.
When we first move in at Sunset Ridge the management was great so was the maintenance team, that was in January 2015. Any work orders for maintenance inside or outside where completed in a timely manner. We moved out in July-August 2018, in March 2018 we complained about a huge hole in the middle of the side walk that both of my elderly parents (dad passed April 30 2018) almost fell in, the paramedics that picked up my dad right before he passed away said they had to go through the snow covered grass with the gurney because of the hole being so big and hazardous, we notified the manager and when we left in August 2018 4 months later the hole had only gotten bigger.
Zero stars .We have a management that is oblivious to our crime issue at sunset ridge.Speaking with our neighbors we share the same issues with the current problems.1.Crime - domestic violence, tenants fighting in the parking lot and screaming.2. $200 plus for non xcel utilities paid with rent.3.consistent problems with the youth here as they have zero adult supervision causing many issues that bring out the police.Do not let your kids play at park.4.People subletting their basement with those people not on the lease. You never know if you have a sex offender or ex-cons living next to you.We need armed security on site walking around and checking on things. In 8 months over 25 police incidents here something isnt right!!!Management has not and will not address these issues this will be there down fall and those living here and the quality of living will continue to take a downward decline as they are rated a 2.1 here.Time to pull your head out of the clouds!
I have never lived in a place so horrible and so not willing to help you like Sunset Ridge management and staff. I used to love living here ( about 2 years ago) and now ever since they changed there management its been like living in a dumpster but for $1900.00.The maintenance staff is absolutely horrible, they will not show up to your home, even when there is an emergency, EVER. I have called over 3 time in the past week to get my dishwasher looked at, my AC working and other issues with the promise that someone is coming to look, come to find out they dont have any maintenance left because the last guy walked out! So they have hired a bunch of labor workers who i realllllyyyy trust to go into my home when Im not there... YA RIGHT!The management and staff just say generic one line sentences to you when you confront them about anything (they dont care what so ever about your problems). The rent just keeps raising as well as utilities with no explanation. The dumpsters are beyond over filled with garbage causing not only the prettiest view but the play grounds, yards and streets to be filled with litter.I am biting at the bits to get out of this place and this lease and I highly recommend RUNNING AWAY from here. These homes are not where you want to raise a family, not safe, complete filth, dirty and there is nothing you can do about it! Not to mention the amount of money you pay is beyond ridiculous for what you get. I am extremely disappointed, sad and defeated.
Moved in with no issues. Management is extremely nice and helpful. Any time I have a maintenance issue someone is quickly over. The town homes are spacious and kept up. There are a lot of kids in the neighbor hood. The community is always kept clean. Im new to the area and there is plenty of stores near by. Ive lived here for now 2 months. No complaints.
Never again.Domestic violence is out of control here.We just moved out after 1 year of Hell! The last company that ran this place had a drug ring living on site that got raided by the DEA in October. In our 1 year living here this place went from bad to worse.Cops, violence and drugs on site.If you have a family dont move here or stay inside after night fall.We were on the news Fox 31, 3 times in six months.First time was for 30 plus cars had tires slashed and vandalism. Then a few weeks later again. The third time Fox 31 came to visit us the trash was over 10 feet tall and no one in office cared.Save yourself time and sleeplessness.Dont move here the new management company that just took over will be finished just like the last 3.They fail to listen to the people renting feedback.1.We need security on site.2.Any police issues with charges should result in warning and then eviction if it happens again.3.Stop charging an arm and leg for utilities. We rented a house near by for 10 years before moving here and never ever was our utilities ever over $200.00 a month outside xcel energy like it is here.4.Stop letting people sublet the basement andAnd those live on site that are not on the lease.5.Stop with the copy and paste response.Easier to just say sorry lets work on this and fix it.
This place is by far the worst place we have ever lived. A van down by the river is way more attractive than Sunset Ridge. We lived there from October, 2017 to July, 2018 and the place changed management companies 4 times. That is right, 4 times. A week after we moved out I drove by and saw they had changed management again!!!! Each new management that came in were nasty people. They do not care about keeping up with the place. I had to pick up trash on my front lawn every day along with the park that our daughter played at. Please do yourself a favor and stay away from Sunset Ridge. They raised rent on us every month. We had bed bugs in our unit that would not go away with treatment (We are a very clean family). We had to throw our bed out when we moved out because of the bugs. The neighbors are terrible. The police are there at least 3-4 times a week. There are kids that run around the complex that are rude, destructive and filthy. They will slash your tires and key your car. Sunset Ridge charges around 1,800/month for a two bed room. They say its 1,575 but after all of the fees you are going to pay around 1,800. It is no where near worth that cost. DO NOT...I repeat...DO NOT sign a lease here. Living there was one of the worst decisions of our lives.
Any reason Sunset Ridge looks like the dump or a Habitat For Humanity donation site ?Just came back from a vacation. But to my surprise 5 shopping carts old mattresses, a few broken couches and a bunch of other broken furniture. What happened in the 3 weeks I was gone? With all the trash Kinda looks like season 4 of The Walking Dead.So much for that comfortable environment!
Staff are very nice, pleasant every time we go into the main office. Finally moved and really enjoying our new place neighbors don’t seem to bother anyone, no signs of unwanted bugs or broken items. Has a few paint spots on the floor but that’s not a big deal for us.
I gave this place a good review about 9 months ago. Now this place is unbelievably disgusting. From the creepy people walking back and forth from the liquor store, to the drug addicts asking my teenager if he knows where to get drugs. Not to mention how they never clean up, theres always trash everywhere. The owners have absolutely no pride or care when it comes to this property. Its just sad for me to see. I worked for the previous company and saw how they cared for the community. They wouldnt recognize it if they saw it today. Its like stepping into another world. The property they invested so much into was ran into the dirt within a matter or months. This new company doesnt care about the community or anyone who lives here, its so obvious! If your thinking about moving here I truly suggest driving through here on a Saturday night or any day really. Your bound to see a drug deals, domestic violence, children out all night, people working on their cars, you might see some rats and other critters. The Apartments next door were known to be ghetto and run down, I have a feeling that they look at us as being the problem. I just had a company come to remove a diseased skunk from my front yard. They told me that theirs probably more somewhere. I just cant imagine this place turning things around. Ive never met the manager or staff but not once have I seen them out walking through the community. If they do and I just havent seen them, then shame on them for not doing something about the filthy dumspters, parking lots full of trash and beer bottles that will sit there for weeks.
With a lot of help an awsome management many issues have been taken care of solutions made and issues taken care of quickly an have worked so well to make sureMy homes a home for my daughter and self.
Stratus Town Homes has turn into a place where one can feel comfortable living at. This wasn’t the case with the old property groups of this property. I can truthfully say this place is turning around and getting better.
They are now charging 100 for water 100 for sewer with no notice for the changes. They “waived” late fees but we were not late so no help there. We also had signed paper telling us what to pay. They did not honor it. All around this is not a good place to live. Kids leave trash every where. My car has been hit 3 times here. My kids have woke up to the sound of gun shots around the complex. It was nice the first year. But now it’s bad and they charge 500 over what the rent is for utilities. Look else where!!!!
I would give 0 stars if I could...My family and I live here now, we have only been here for 4 months and it is the worst place I have ever lived not to mention we do not feel safe! The new management is rude and not willing to help. We were broken into the first week of being here due to a window not closing properly. And the office could care less. We have multiple things wrong with the apartment that have yet to be fixed. Please don’t move here you will regret it I promise.
Evictions have been happening all month. We counted 9 more Eviction notices this week and I guess we will see the good relaxed environment in full swing with peoples property thrown all over the lawns do to more Evictions.Keep up the good work 🌞 sunset ridge.
Zero stars for Sunset Ridge. At 130 am we hear a big commotion coming from the parking lot with police lights shining through our window shades.5 police cars and yelling get on the ground.I guess there was another party 4 doors down and someone was being chased with a knife. While standing outside the police come and talk to us and state This place is a $h!+hole and they are always here!!I cannot wait to finish up our lease .Ive never ever seen so much of a ghetto place my whole life and Ive lived in Aurora for many years.
I rented an apartment from this complex for 3 years. Moved into the place in 2014 and moved out in end of 2017. It was 2 1/2 years of hell. While I was there I lost my car 3 times. Once it was stolen when my girlfriend dropped our spare set. Some neighbors kids decided it would be fun to take it instead of returning the keys. Second time I lost my car was when they towed it at my expense when my registry ran out. 3 and final was when my rent increase by $200 the last year i was there and I had to pawn my car to pay the rent. I have seen swat out side my door because of the neighbors one night. They tell you $1425 a month, then when you get your bill its $1750 and some change. Extra fees. The management girls once threaten to force me to throw out family. My brothers crazy girlfriend was hitting on maintenance guys. Who were hangout with the management girls every afternoon behind the office. And the last year I was there holes from the piping where leaking throw my ceilings. The last 2 months before I moved out it was bought by a new company. I wish and hope they do a better job then the last.
Very excited every time we pay rentCounting down, we only have 9 months left in this Hell hole known as Sunset Ridge. Its a bait and switch type deal here.Seems nice upfront close to office in the back is another story.50% of this complex are hardworking and honest folks. The other 50% Im very unsure how they passed a background check here wink 😉.Bottom line if you cannot find a good place to rent because you have the following on your record-Dui,Domestic violence, past or present Drug issues with pending convictions or prior evictions sunset ridge will welcome you home.
I lived here a few years ago, and despite absolutely LOVING my townhouse, I had to move due to countless problems with the previous management. Now that they have been taken over by a new management company, I decided to apply here again.Let me tell you, the difference is astounding! The application process was so quick and easy, and Stevi really took the time to make sure that we found the perfect home! She took the time to sit down with me and a map of the property so that way we could pick a unit in the location we wanted, even though it was chaotic Monday morning in the office and Im sure she had plenty of other things to do.I am so excited to move back into Sunset Ridge! I can already tell the new management genuinely cares about their residents.
Fantastic place to rent.Another domestic disturbance at 835 pm in building 23.Police and ambulance with someone leaving by stretcher.Real great place to live,Dont live here. This is daily life here.Office manager WAldo how much longer before someone gets killed?
Dont move here. There are way better places to live. I would rate 0 stars if I could. Theyre doing everything they can to try evicting their old tenants before their lease is even up to make room for new tenants to raise the rent prices. Youre lucky to get a 30 day eviction notice, btw. My family got 48 hours. Please do not move here. Youre better off living in a box.Update: so your policies are trying to throw people out on the streets and try doing what you people can to nickel and dime your tenants? Nothing will ever improve my opinion on you guys unless you leave yourselves and make room for REAL managers who care about their tenants
I have lived here for about a year now and the new echelon team has done so much to turn things around. Anytime there is something wrong in my place the maintenance team is on it. You can tell that they really care about the residents. I want to say it Marcus and Austin every-time i see them they stop and say hi and ask how i am doing. The ground have gotten a lot better here there is not a lot of trash everywhere like it used to be. The office is always on there A game. I was going to move but after seeing everything that they are doing i will most likely end up staying. Keep up the great work Stratus Team.
Thank you to a very kind and wonderful staff and mgnt! The grounds are always beautiful and clean.
Things here moved pretty slowly at first. Now they’re right on it. We had a couple of maintenance issues and both times they were attended to very expeditiously. The staff here are as professional as they are welcoming, we also have excellent neighbors. The child park and dog park are in close proximity, just don’t get them mixed up. I did and let me tell ya, they frown on leaving your dog in the swing while you walk your kid. Something about leash laws applying to dogs and not toddlers, I’m still perplexed by this. There are a few other places where they have doo doo bags about the property. The only drawback I’ve encountered, is parking. No garage means apartment style parking lot.We like it here and this has been a great choice for us. That heated pool is calling out, gotta go.
Ongoing problems with billing from the front office since Echelon properties took over. Ive always gotten the issues resolved, some times more easily than others. I appreciate that they have a big job taking over the property from the last management company, but at the end of the day I just want to pay my rent on time without erroneous late charges. There have been some improvements since Echelon took over, most notably with the maintenance and grounds staff. Before there were piles of trash and dog poop all over the property, now its much cleaner and maintenance issues are addressed in a timely manner. I cant say enough what a good job theyve done.Hopefully over the rest of my lease the office will catch up as well, if so I will happily alter my review at a later date to reflect the improvement. I appreciate Brittany in the front office for taking time to resolve billing problems in a professional manner.
Be careful with calling for any information. The office girl, Jenna I think, doesnt let you finish a sentence, likes to cut you off while speaking, gets snide and rude. She clearly doesnt care if any residents move in and obviously the management company doesnt care by keeping her employed. I will be making sure to rent somewhere else that cares about customer service and approachability.
Scumbag central and theScary people living here come out at night.Zero parking because almost everyone here has 6 people living in a 2 bedroom unit and each have a car.Building 24 has 3 cars parked that each have a flat tire.Feels like a third world country here.Security hasnt been seen in over a month. The only person who seems to be consistent is Kirk in the office hes doing a good job.
My family and I have lived here a little over a year, we just renewed our lease unfortunately. We were told time after time before signing the lease that everything would stay the same, only to find the 1st months rent went up $100 and utilities was $90 more than usual. We have had maintenance issues our entire time living here that have never been fixed, the police are in our parking lot at least 4-5 times a week, every time I try to call the office it either says they aren’t available or says the line has been TEMPORARILY DISCONNECTED. Yet I’ll call from the parking lot, get sent to voicemail only to walk in the office and see them all sitting there chatting with one another. I haven’t had a single positive interaction with the new management, and they do nothing to make it right. I’d give it 0 stars if that were possible. I can’t wait to be out of here. Plus it would be somewhere around 4 grand to break the lease. This place is absolutely horrible. And only getting worse.
They suck. We used to live there. Said we didnt pay for a month of rent. Even though I have the receipts to prove it still. Then wouldnt allow me to make the rent payment for the month we were going into. They through out 19 other people in the complex that day to. Dont rent from them.
New management is an improvement from the old (otherwise Id give it one star), but we got royally screwed from the old company. We had money literally stolen from our deposit and got charged an extra utility bill upon move out due to missing and altered paperwork (we got charged 2 months utilities upon move out instead of one). Once again, not the new managements fault, but it still left a bad taste in our mouths. The main reason, to this date, for the low rating is the neighbors themselves are mostly horrible. Theres a few good people, but most residents you wont want to know. Lots of violence, noise, drugs (meth), yelling, and kids roaming around late at night (later than midnight most nights). If you have kids, dont move here, and if you do, just know theyll either be bullied on the playground or become a bully. Cops are constantly called for domestic issues. Weve had vehicles hit and vandalized in the often overcrowded parking lots (make a drive by at around 8pm to see what I mean). Ive had tools stolen out of my truck. People let their dogs run around off leash, and weve witnessed people getting attacked by them. Nobody likes to pick up after their dogs either - luckily management has been working extra hard to pick up for them. Dumpsters are constantly dug through by dumpster divers, so trash gets thrown all over the place. Once again, youll see management out there frequently cleaning it up.The New management has made a big effort to improve this place, but its going to take a lot of work to get it there, and honestly, its not there yet. Its going to take years to correct everything thats bad about that place, if they really try.On the plus side, this place has great floor plans.
I hate living here it reminds me of Los Angeles,CaliforniaThey have a pool here thats very nice, but no adults supervising kids after the office staff leaves. With the heat we decided to enjoy the pool and it was quite unpleasantA whole lot of people drinking and smoking weed while little children are In the pool hope no one ends up drowning while there parents are busy getting drunkThe parties that happen over nights on weekends are ridiculously overblown and we have 911 on speed dial.If youre planning to move here please get some kind of home protection or a good alarm system and dont leave anything of value outside ever we have many many ex cons living on site.On a side note why or how is utilities outside of electric which we pay separate over $250.00 a month????And this is only for water and ground maintenance.$250.00 × 450 +units=$112,500Someone call The FBI or report them to the Colorado Secretary of State I think theyre price gouging.
New management is not helpful. Please send them packing. No damn decent place to park again after dark.People starting fights outside over music.Only going to get worse as summer arrives.
Lived here for roughly 6 months. Before I start randomly bashing, here are some pros and cons.Pros: Town-home like apartments, nice to not have anyone living under or above you. 3 levels; main, top floor and basement. Neighbors are fairly friendly. They allow pets (the only reason we moved there) of pretty decent size. We have two pretty big dogs that they were OK with having.Cons: Management (or the people who work for management) are LAZY. You need to call them SEVERAL times to get anything fixed in the apartment. Maintenance are competent, but held back by management budget. Our basement was leaking for 2 MONTHS before they finally fixed it, replacing the windows with VERY stinky sealant that made me fear for the health of my pets. Stove gave out and was not fixed before we moved out (~3 weeks without a working stove). We also had problems with loud neighbors who liked to play music at 10pm, we reported it to the management, with no change at all. I hate to name names, but Allison at the front desk is not good at her job, she will not call you back when there are issues with the apartment and god forbid you move out; she will treat you like youre being evicted. We did not get ANY of our deposit back when we left; they would not provide us any pictures of what damage we did and claimed the apartment was dirty. We worked for 3 days cleaning the place, it was cleaner when we left than when we moved in. For what you get, the apartment is WAY overpriced and the management useless and shady.BEWARE if youre thinking of moving here.
Zero stars for Hell hole Ridge.I over heard the office people saying that all the maintenance walked off the job and quitAnd they are using temp agencies to fill in for maintenance.Just what we need temporary workers from ready labor as they dont do background Checks,so you will get some junkie in your house who earns minimum wage trying to fix your water heater I hope he doesnt blow himself up or steal stuff!!A abundant amount of renters here gave up on the up keep and just throw trash in their yard.If youre a potential renter dont walk away from this place RUN.Response from owner will beI sound like I care But I really dont.
The new management company is really turning this property around. Jenna the manager is very friendly and attentive to all our needs. Great experience all around!
Lets see the good things about sunset ridge No comment. The not so good. Trash everywhere. I mean seriously we had a good crew trying now none. The current maintenance staff we do have just drive around golf carts on the sidewalks and do nothing.Meanwhile rent for a 3 bedroom is 1700 dollars a month. Also one week ago we had 9 news here,do to a mass vandalism tire slashing for the second time. First tire slashing hit over 30 cars second time it was over 6 .Sorry to say but if continues to happen it is creating a very unsafe housing environment and Im pretty sure leases can be broken without any form of recourse.Sunset ridge is full of druggie people. If youre looking to move here come after night fall See the great people here.
We just received our first utility bill from sunset ridge,Have F$!#&! Mercy!Water $41.00,Sewer $42.00,Trash $16.00, Storm Drain $3.00Gas $52.00, Drainage Admin $3.00Cam charges $45, Service fee $6.00Service start up fee and $25.00 = $233.00This doesnt even include electric thats extra and separate.Sunset ridge =Pathetic
Long time resident of sunset ridge and can give some insight as to why we will part ways.Pros the space inside is nice and 2 floors with a basement is great .Staff/Kirk and aldo in office seem pretty good5 stars to both of them.ConsPaper thin walls that I can hear my neighbors fighting all the time.We have to pay $200 to the complex on top of rent for private utilities outside electric.During these last few months a group of teenagers have cause a many issues within the complex. In the evenings they are most active and i cant get to bed until late most nights as I hear them screaming the N WORD at each other.Overall the place that brings this place down is the 50% ratio of dead beats with 12 people living in a 2 bedroom and out of control kids.
The Property is poorly maintained and outdated.Trashed parking lot, maintenance building a clubhouse near the dumpsters with old mattress and other discarded furniture.Best thing to do if you have a issue is contact the office staff immediate supervisor or corporate office as they will not fix Any issues you have.
Its sad because I spent almost 2 years here and have had both good and bad experiences. Its a shame the bad definitely out weighs the good. Firstly when I first moved in the place reeked of smoked because they gave us a old smokers unit with out even telling us and plus all the staff smokes in the units when working. On top of that, the play ground always has trash in it and kids are always throwing rocks at the buildings or cars. You split your water bill with the rest of the people in the units plus you get billed for watering lawns. I own my own house now and my water bill is much cheaper than living at Sunset Ridge. Coincidently just DAYS after turning in our move out notice, our LOCKED apartment was broken in to and everything was stolen. The staff was less than sympathetic. They dont care. They just want their check. Its sad because you do get lured in by the amount of space you get for your money but in my opinion it is not worth your safety and sanity.
Was excited to be living here but now it’s the most disgusting and shittiest place to live. Management doesn’t give a rats ass about anyone. They never fix things that need fixing in the 4 months I’ve been here they have gone through 3 management companies and now it’s up for sale again. At this point it should just be shut down. Not to mention all the garbage literally everywhere is not a lovely sight. DO NOT MOVE HERE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!!!!!
Hands down the projects of Westminster.Management will not do anything to fix the complex.Every response here from the owner is copy and paste.Any legit run complex would evict anyone who engages in a domestic violence within their complex,But not sunset ridge, they allow this kind of behavior and will not do anything about it.Basically they applaud others who practice this kind of behavior. If you like the following please applyPeople fighting ✔Druggies onsite ✔Domestic Violence ✔DEA Drug raids ✔Cars broken into ✔Car vandalism/30 Tires slashed overnight ✔Featured on Fox 31 news twice in 3 months ✔Please apply.
Walked into Sunset Ridge Apartments Homes located at 8300 Sheridan and walked out 5 minutes into the viewing unit.A kid was Peeing in his front yard like it was normal, I believe he was about 9 or 10 years old.On a sidenote there was screaming coming out of one of the Apartment homes while returning to the office, I think maybe a argument or something?Office people real pleasant though.
This review is a much needed as I hope it reaches the corporate office as I will be sending a complaint also.We arrived here late summer and we are unsatisfied with the overall quality of this property located at Sunset Ridge 8300 Sheridan Blvd Westminster,Co 80003.A very disturbing amount of Police activity involving crimes on site .Vandalism,Domestic violence and fighting. After dark there is a group of 2-3 pre teens that trash the playground cursing and causing a commotion. We have spoken to 6 different families about the issues involving 2 or 3 of these pre teens about bullying, cursing and starting fights that have gone on here for too long.None of them plan on resigning as we will not.One family we know just moved out because they couldnt take living here anymore with all the nonsense crime and drama.I can only give advise to those who may be interested in signing a lease.Save yourself time and a lot of headaches.Dont sign a lease here.
Moved in over 2 months ago andWhere can one start to describe sunset ridge?Home to many domestic violence and police calls. We had a guy pull a knife on a tenant in parking lot over someones eviction property.Weekends are a good time to hear people arguing outside and See fights About to start. The weekends here are ground zero for partysAs the liquor store is walking distance from the building.I have looked at a lot of reviews here and with all the available units sitting vacant Id like to invite the owner of sunset ridge to bring his family for a month and really see whats going on here.
RUN!!! They do not even deserve a star. Management is lazy and unprofessional. After my basement flooded for the 3rd time in less than a month, Melanie (one of the managers) hung up the phone unwilling to help us. This is after management promised that it wouldn’t flood again. THEN come to find out our next door neighbors used to live in our unit but had to move because our current basement would not stop flooding, they also informed us that the tenants before us moved out of this unit because of flooding. Not only are these people sneaky liars they allow maintenance to sit on their phones instead of doing anything productive, there is trash and dog poop everywhere all of the time. They run the sprinklers so much that the lawns are swamps and the sidewalks are flooded, the water bills end up being close to $300 dollars and management could care less. It’s also a shame because as an environmentally conscious person we just watch this complex waste SO much water. The neighborhood is very unsafe, I would not want my young nieces or nephews any where close to this place. I can’t walk my dog any time of the day without being cat called by the creepy men who they allow to live here. I’ve never seen any sort of security on the premise.I am writing this to let the public know to STAY AWAY. Read through the comments, the management will reply to each and every one of these reviews with some sad excuse that is practically copied and pasted, they ask you to come into the office “to talk” but again the management has no clue what customer service is, for God’s sake Melanie couldn’t even contain her emotionsenough to have a civil conversation and had to hang up on me. (Just a reminder, Melanie is their office manage). Run. Everyone we have talked in this complex has said that since new management has taken over this place just continues to get worse and worse. Kirk is the only nice person that works here, poor guy deserves a better job. Please pray for us, we’re counting down the days until we can leave this hell hole, it is not a home by any means- read the other reviews!!! If you still don’t believe us, take a walk around here at night!
I have lived here about a year and have loved it. Only complaint is that the playground is always trashed. I typically spend 10 minutes picking up trash and placing it in the trash cans. This is a two fold issue. Lazy messy ass neighbors who dont put their trash where it belongs and management who dont send people out to make sure the ground are clean. Had new management take over a few months back and have had little to no interaction with them so I cant speak on how they are, but, previous group was not terrible. Decent neighbors around my unit. And I only had one bad experience of having my car stereo faceplate taken from my car (I left my doors unlocked). All in all outs a nice place to live. Going to sign a new lease come the end of my lease in April.
- One star for Sunset Ridge.I Walked in the office to get a answer to a simple question and the lady office manager looked pretty much brain dead and brushed me off on Kirk. She looked high or something!!5 Stars for Kirk he took good care of us.Kirk should be put in charge of this place very very nice guy very professional.Office manager lady should return to Walmart to polish up on people skills and how to answer a simple question possibly work to achieve that Ged.Response from owner ***We have promoted Kirk to office manager because the great job he does here.Sorry the former office manager probably smokes or eats edibles before coming to work she has be reassigned to picking up trash in the parking lot .
Crime and bad neighbors.Me and my girlfriend recently signed a lease and wish we hadnt.Walls are paper thin and we just got our first month utilities over $300 DOLLARS.AND this isnt for Xcel energy we have to pay that also.Do yourself a favor dont move here.Ill break my lease and just move out to save my sanity.
Enough is enough. If the owner will not fix these issues we have rights as renters. If nothing is done in the coming days A petition will be started and flyers issued to neighbors in the communi. We will do everything possible to get the local news out here and use every avenue of mass media- yelp,Google ECT to fight for better living conditions.Time for safe living conditions at Sunset Ridge and a crime free zone.
Complete nonsense!Today Dec 12 @ 6:45 amResidents in Bidding 27 G were engaged in a shouting match,a husband and wife. This is not the first time but maybe 4th in a months time.Someone called the police as it was escalating to outside their unit.3 Police cars show up and leave after talking to them.5 minutes after police leave they start yelling and screaming all over.Daily life here I guess.
Horrible! I have no other words! Does the new owner read his goggle reviews? How does this happen to a property in just 6 months? Current Sunset ridge management sucks!P.S. who thought the bright yellow construction paint on the steps were a good Idea? Making sure the drug addicts and drunks make it up the stairs and home safety? Now it’s not just dirty, it’s a dirty construction Zone.Gross!
This place is bad bad bad news. Dont live here under any circumstances... Consider yourself warned! There needs to be a way to give negative stars! Then this place would have an overwhelming amount of those! Avoid! And the freaking staff needs to stop spending their whole day looking for negative reviews to respond to. Blah, blah, blah. Do your job & get this place under control before you lose EVERYTHING.
Lived here for quite some time and willing to shed some light on way this place deserves negitive -5 stars. The new management Echelon management is pretty much as bad as they come.Unprofessional with no apologies.Britney the new manager will talk down to you like youre nothing. The maintenance staff are lazy and just cruze around on the golf carts all day on the sidewalks that are ment for people walking or you can catch maintenance guy parked watching YouTube videos in the shade.Trash needs to be picked up as does dog waste. Please fire or void this management companies contract.
Sunset ridge isnt a good place to live.1.It is common to see 4 or 5 police cars here during all hours of the day or night do to drunk people fighting or just domestic disturbances.2.Many people here feel unsafe with all the crime here at sunset ridge.3.The Rent doesnt reflect the qualityAt 1760 for a 3 bedroom.4.Run down with a massive amount of homeless.Im pleading to the Company or owner of Sunset Ridge Apartment homesPlease we need more frequent Security onsite 24 hour armed security would greatly reduce the issues we have here.
Dont move here unless you want to sweat to death in your room during the summer. The air barely blows out of the vents upstairs. It is about 87 to 89 degrees upstairs even though I am running the ac at 72. Maintenance doesnt do anything about it they just tell you to redirect your vents which does nothing.
Place is a total joke. Management can’t tell their butt from their elbow. So unorganized and not very friendly. Would not ever recommend this place to anyone ever. Especially if you have nice things because both of my cars have been scratched by maintenance workers and other residents. If zero stars was an option that’s what they would get.
I have lived here for the last year, and I loved it! Then they got all new management and employees that are here are horrible. They sucks at their job and horrible to their residents. they always close their offices early, or down for the weekends. Especially when you need to Pay rent. The inside of the apt is not as nice as in the pictures. There is paint everywhere, leaks in the ceiling and walls. This place is horrible. Do not live here.
Was a good place to live until management got lazy now trash and druggies everywhere. Also a vandal running around slashing tires. Vandal at sunset ridge dont slash our tires because your mad at office take it out on them light them dumpsters on fire or spray paint the offce and break windows . just leave us out of it we feel your anger.
Lately our complex looks like a junk yard.Building 27 has a bunch of broke down cars with flat tires taking up spots that hardworking tenants who are on the lease pay to have space available. My wife contacted office and they didnt seem to care.Sunset ridge is very very unprofessional and dont waste your hard earned money .Crome, trash and overpriced living is what we have to offer
After arriving home today December,17 thIm smoking a Cigarette outside our unit and the resident lady in 27-G is fighting the police after a domestic disturbance. Please explain why these scary incidents keep happening here ?Can we finally get security on-site?
Update***I was interested in leasing but I cannot do this. They must pick up the trash that is littered everywhere.I walked through the complex to find the office because the main area is blocked off with construction.I parked in the middle of the complex and the trash is everywhere also a broken couch is laying in a front yard.Does anyone work here?***I was watching the news Fox 31 and Sunset ridge was featured with a trash issue .Thank God I didnt sign lease.
Over priced dumpster living at sunset ridge. They charge you extra for every Damn thing. The rent is 1700 on top of that lets see85.00 for water understandable75.00 sewer BS ✔50.00 for maintenance BS X2 ✔30.00 for gas understandable35.00 new start up fee BS = ExtortionMaintence is none existing and with over 200 units that $50.00 comes out to over 10,000.Please ownerThis place needs better managementPlease promote Kirk to property supervisor so he can kick out all the junkies and weirdos and fix this place also please bring back travis the maintenance dude.
Wishing my family and I chose a better place to live.We live in building 23 and on 11-14 a group of teens were smoking weed and being loud cursing and talking vulgar at the corner unit. The office management will not do anything to give warnings or anything when brought to their attention.Sunset ridge is pretty much a free for all.
