I spent $47 dollars on a manicure and pedicure. That’s way too expensive. Especially for the quality of this manicure. Completely awful I’m so embarrassed. My thumbs look like garbage. I paid extra for the quick dry and my nails did not dry quickly. I sat there for 20 minutes drying. Whatever she put on my thumbs makes them look uneven and bubbly. She was also extremely aggressive with the pedicure - pushing my feet every time she wanted them in the tub. I will not be returning. How do you screw up a simple manicure this bad. Go to Eden Nails.EDIT: decreasing to one star. 24 hours later and the nail polish is lifting and chipping. I work a desk job and am not hard on my hands. This place is awful. Don’t waste your time or money here. I would give it 0 stars if I could.I know you may see this review and still decide to give it a shot, but there are so many better places in Westfield, Scotch Plains, and Fanwood that you can get a fabulous nail job for less. Also I just remembered that I tipped DAISY (the nail tech whom you should stay away from) $10 which was a bit more than I could’ve and she didn’t even say thank you. That in and of itself pretty much sums up the attitude of this place.
Vicky did a great job with my jasmine pedicure and manicure. She was thorough in the care of my feet and hands and they end result is very polished :). It was a calm environment, the massage chairs are amazing, and it was a lovely Sunday afternoon relaxation. Would go again and highly recommend an appointment.
This is my 2nd time at this salon. The first time I came in, I asked for an advertised design and they were unable to complete. It looked like a Pinterest fail. The 2nd time, I got a fill in and 2 nails fixed this past Saturday. I called today, Monday, to let reception know a mended nail broke. I did not mention the overall sloppy job as I already lowered expectations because of conscience of Trader Joe’s next door. They said they would fix it. Upon arrival I was advised it’s an additional $5. This is not a money issue but more so customer service. Additionally, a fee is charged to use your card, even for the tip. This is a low budget/nickel and dime nail salon dressed up as nail bar. Beware.
Love this place! They have the biggest selection of dip polish of any place around. Always super clean and they are always on time. Ivy is my favorite but when she isn’t available, any of the other techs I’ve been with have done a great job. Front desk staff is always super kind and helpful. We’ve been coming here since they opened and have never had anything less than a stellar experience.
I had poly gel on my nails done at a different salon. They had no idea how to take it off and proceeded to chip away at the gel using a cuticle clipper. My nail started bleeding, and one cracked down the middle. I said multiple times that I wanted them to just take it off and not proceed with the service and I attempted to leave, then they told me they needed to fix it. They however did not clean out the wound, and instead put acrylic over it, when I had asked for them to just leave it as is. They then charged me $48 for the visit. I’ve never had an amazing experience here and definitely do not recommend. Bow nails is a great option in the area along with Eden nails.
I go here because it’s very clean and they do a good job on manicures and pedicures and you can book online which is very convenient. But there is a down side (besides the broken tv’s they don’t fix) that is necessary to share at this point bc I’ve reached out to them personally about it and no response. After covid, they introduced what i call a “credit punishment system”. Basically they charge you a fee for paying with a card. I mean, I know times are tough, but not that tough where you need to charge me a fee for using my debit card to pay the bill. It’s bad enough you can’t leave the tip on your card, now you have to pay your entire bill in cash or your fined. And here’s the kicker — the more money you spend on your visit, the greater the fee! Confused? Don’t worry, they have charts posted around the store that help explain the fee breakdown. Want to use cash but don’t have it? No worries, use their ATM for a fee.
I got my acrylics done coffin shaped... this is the first time I’ve heard that you have to pay for the shape. On the website it says 45 for gel acrylics and I ended up paying 70$. When I asked for them to explain why so much they rudely asked me for the money and asked me to pay tip. I was already going to pay tip but found surprising that they straight up asked me for it. They did a decent job would not recommend going there, there are much better places out there for better prices!
Terrible ..never get taken on time. Even With a scheduled appointment. I Walked out . they could care less... Go elsewhere. They Raised their prices. And their Customer service went down.
I have had two pedicures done at this place in the past however I did a acrylic fill and pedicure. Absolutely horrible: my nail chipped the next day I went back to fix and they gave me an attitude and charged me. These are my pics not even 2 weeks yet. Look how horrible the quality is, never coming again. Btw: Andy takes nails off with a metro card doesnt seem sanitary and him and his coworker got up to look at my nails and were laughing. Very unprofessional save your money!
Great service. Staff was kind and very accommodating. Will definitely be returning.
I had leo for a full set of acrylics w/ gel polish and he was great! my nails look gorgeous and he was very patient with me (i asked to switch my color twice) definitely recommend ! :)
I absolutely love this place, it’s a great experience every time and my nails always come out looking great. It’s also SO clean and they do such an amazing job of making you feel safe during these crazy covid times!
Is ZERO stars an option? TERRIBLE service would be an understatement. I have been to Nail Spa & Beyond a handful of times, none of which have been good and each a worse experience than the last. Today I spent TWO HOURS getting a manicure and pedicure. The time for services are always painstakingly long and the staff is unfriendly and unprofessional. Overall, the premium price is not justified by value and I would NOT recommend.
Pedi was below average Massage was terrible customer service is below average.
Walked in and even though busy they squeezed me in. Ella is so nice 💕Got a sparkly color gel $35 paid cash. Plus tip. I will be back.
Spacious, classy, super friendly. Great location. Near great vibey food and drink spots for after!!!
I love going here. I’ve been to several nail technicians and they’re all great but my favorite is Rebecca. She puts her heart into her work and you can feel that she truly cares about doing things right. The atmosphere is calming and they are very clean. Always a positive experience!
Professional, polite, clean, overall wonderful service and prices
I wanted to like this place so badly! The spa mani/pedi is weird... they use Saran Wrap to lock you into a mask. Not fun. Also just not up to par on expectations
I’ve gone twice for a pedicure and fill. Eden does an amazing job on my nails and is very attentive to my likes and dislikes. My first time visit I had a regular polish pedicure and they were ruined the same day! However, the second time I went I got a gel pedicure(like I normally did elsewhere) and they still look like I just left the salon.
I looove Rebecca!! But thats about it. I used to give glowing reviews about NSB, but theyve gone down since they opened. They rush through services or skip steps (cutting cuticles, filling crooked, uneven paint, etc) to accommodate favorite customers or get been to talking to coworkers. If youre in a last minute bind, they have great business hours. And ask for Rebecca.
Clean, organized and detail oriented. True spa-like experience! Very proactive in response to COVID safety precautions.
Great nail salon. Ella is awesome!
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEYI came here one my wedding day this past Saturday, March 31 I just needed a simple pedicure and my maid of honor needed a simple manicure.... we thought that this would be a quick and easy process especially because it was right around the corner from the venue boy were we wrong!!!The pedicure it’s self was OK nothing special but the worst part was how long it took for them to check us out they have some type of computer system where whoever serviced US supposed to put in the service you received and you pay upfront but when we got up front the lady couldn’t find who serviced us or what we received then when she finally found it it was the wrong price almost $30 more and she would not listen to us when we told her that was not the right price and she wouldn’t go to the back to get anyone to help her figure out what was going on meanwhile I’m telling her I’m a bride and I need to go but she’s just standing there looking at the computer confused....ON TOP OF THAT... they charged me five extra dollars for this OPI polish that was supposed to be longer lasting it did not last a day both of my big toenails have chipped so not only did they waste my time they wasted my money just because things look nice and fancy does not mean you’re going to get good quality service
My little girl! Everyone loved her design!
Thank you, Nails Spa & Beyond professionals, for your service! They patiently serviced 4 of us while complying with COVID-19 guidelines. Great mani & pedi & massages, and the spa is the cleanest I have seen. Will be back.
I have been going to this salon for the last three months. I’ve been on random days, as a walk-in, making an appointment online, and calling the same day to make the appointment. Each time I was greeted with a professional environment where I could get services for my nails and feet. The place is well-maintained, very clean, and offers a very pleasant experience! I’m thankful I found a great location where I can get dip powder done (with lots of color choices) and a good pedicure. The prices are reasonable and each person that has done my nails and pedi was professional and knowledgeable! Thank you!!
Ive been here twice. The first time was a pretty good experience. I sat with Eden and she did a good job. The next time I make my appointment online WITH Eden expecting to get Eden and instead I get someone different. The second time around wasnt necessarily a bad experience but if I make an appointment with a specific person then I expect to get that person or at least some kind of reason why that person is not available. This woman that did my gel manicure was nice but not that gentle when it came to getting the gel off and working on my cuticles. I would only recommend this place as a back up to your regular salon.
Superficially, the salon is clean and attractive. It’s never been busy when I’ve been in which in theory should make for a relaxing experience. However, now I know why it’s not busy: the rudeness of various staff members makes the clean, attractive environment meaningless. Staff is condescending, rushed and the last time, gave me a painful manicure and pedicure, that resulted in an infected ingrown toenail. When I first found this establishment I was recommending it to friends and family, but I will no longer be doing so.
Love this place! Rebecca was so sweet and kind and took good care of me, being 32 weeks pregnant. Can’t wait to go back. Second time being there and I loved it.
Employee pried off customers artificial nails with a Metro-card, yes a metro-card. Employee was also visibly too rough with the woman as she winced as if she was in pain several times, but it seemed as if she was too afraid to speak up. As a slightly fancy nail salon shouldn’t more safe and reliable ways be implemented to ensure ones experience during their visit exceeds their expectations? On the other hand Eileen helped me with my service the same day I witnessed the previous incident above, and did a beautiful job!!
Very disappointed with my last visit; I have been going here since they opened, and I am not sure when they stopped being so good. I went last week (July 2020) for mani & pedi. They would not let me turn on the massage chair during pedi (you apparently have to pay extra??) and they only scrub and change your polish on the basic. They used to give you a little massage, and I thought stone & aloe. For the mani; he didnt even soak my nails or put cuticle cream; the process was: remove polish, file, push DRY cuticle, cut some skin off, and paint. I will not be going back; if they are skimping on the massage chair, I wonder where else they might be cutting corners to save money. They seem sanitary, but they are not. The use the same nail file as other customers and they do not always keep the gloves on.
First of all, loved that I could schedule my manicure online. visited on a Sunday afternoon, the place was moderately busy but well staffed. Great color selection. The technician noticed a jagged nail as she was almost done and spent the time to remove the polish and fix it properly instead of trying to hide the mistake. Will be coming back here again
This is by far the best nail salon in town. The nail salon is clean and a friendly staff. I am a customer for life. Everyone does great work, but my favorite is Nana. She is the BEST!!!
Thanking the management for handling matters in a timely fashion. Management reached out to me about my concerns that i had posted and addressed the matter very professionally. looking forward to great service. Sorry to say, but never a good experience when I go here. They dont listen. They always cut my nails too (painfully) short. Use polish sparingly, so it chips the next day. 30 second hand massage. Terrible back massages. Everyone seems miserable and have attitudes. The music is depressing. This is a high traffic area, Im surprised the service is this poor.go here, terrible experience. Will take my business elsewhere.
I have gotten my nails done every TWO weeks for many many many years (gel and acrylic). The salon is verrrry spacious and clean. Some of the nail techs are great, however one in particular is the worst Ive ever had in my entire life. Extremely rude, refuses to listen to what I politely asked, tried to charge me $10 extra for shaping my nails and pouted when I nicely told him he shortened my nails too much. Eden was the tech. Jessica, on the other hand, is amazing.
I have been going since they first opened and I was satisfied but always felt like I was missing the perfect nail technician until today and now my whole experience is perfect! Rebecca has been doing my spa pedicure for the past few times and each service is amazing!
I’m not happy with my experience at all! They do not listen and do not do a decent job, not worth the money. My fingers were bleeding afterwards and they cut your nails too short, very painful!
Love this place. Went there on a Saturday. The people are super nice and Steven was awesome. Very nice people, because they were so kind I will return. Kindness= Life long customers. Got SNS for the first time, let’s see how they hold up.
Thrilled with the coffin shaped acrylic nails my daughter got for HOCO. She was happy and we will be back.
Walked in on a Thursday around 4 for a quick pedicure before leaving for the beach and the lady behind the counter barely looked up from the computer screen. I asked for a pedicure. She asked me if I had an appointment and I said no and she said she couldnt help me. I was pretty disappointed because I had already paid for parking. I ended up going somewhere else. Definitely wont go back. If she had greeted me nicely and said sorry but she didnt have anything at the moment but offered me a later time I would have not been so mad but she abruptly dismissed me since I didnt have an appointment. Im used to being able to walk in to nail salons. My mistake
Nice big space, great pedicure.
I am changing my review that was posted a year ago because I gave this salon another chance. I have gone a bunch of times now and the staff has been amazing. I had a very rude first experience but so far my other visits have been great.
Just moved to the area and I was looking for a high end nail salon not your typical chop shop that’s cluttered and dismal. I went in for a manicure to try it out. The exterior looks pleasing. Very clean neat and tidy. Entering was the same. I asked for a manicure and the front desk lady looked at me and said and I quote “ we have an appointment but our manicures are very expensive”! Please don’t take this the wrong way but my appearance did not suggested I was anything less than perfectly capable of paying whatever the price was. What was more ridiculous was that she had already handed me the menu and I chose my service. She was extremely rude. My manicure was fine. The manicure isn’t didn’t utter a single word to me. All hi did was point at things and mumbled under his breath. Not the best and nothing that would cause me to refer anyone to this salon. I did receive an approximately 30 second shoulder rub. Not sure why he bothered. . It’s a shame because I get manicures and pedicures and massages every 10 days. So they lost a potentially very good customer... not the top quality customer service or welcoming gracious atmosphere I’m used to. I go to salons to relax and enjoy myself not to be treated rudely or disrespectfully.
Whenever I have an appointment, I am always seen on time. The salon is kept quite clean, the staff are courteous and professional, and it is an all around great experience that keeps me going back!
Wont be coming back EVER ! I will never step foot in there again nor recommend it to anyone ! Dont waste your money, and find a better nail salon in the area. The only reason I went here is because my regular nail salon was completely booked on a Saturday. When you walk in, the place is beautiful inside and looks high-end but it is NOT - it is an assembly line and they want you in and out as quickly as possible ! Dont waste your hard-earned money on this place just because it looks nice and because it is located in Westfield. I paid $108 for a Dip Manicure (not even SNS), Regular Pedicure and a Man/Pedi for a 9 year old plus spent another $17 on the tip. Are you kidding me ?My 9 year olds mani/pedi was $30, and she was done in 20 mins for both a mani/pedi. She was sitting at the dryer before my pedicure was even finished ! Paying $30 for a child is absolutely insane. From the moment I walked in for my appointment, the nail technician was hovering over me and rushing me to pick a color, and it made me very uncomfortable. This alone infuriated me ... I was 10 mins early for my appointment, the place was completely empty so GO AWAY, get out of my damn space and let me pick my color in peace ! Then she was hovering over my child and rushing her too.The regular pedicure is as basic as you can get so dont expect a foot scrub longer than 20 seconds or foot massage longer than the 5 minute TIMER, and the best part .... she only massaged the bottom 1 foot because the timer went off ! Really, a Timer ? That was a first ! She nicked my skin and made me bleed and just looked at me when she did it, no apology and didnt put anything on it to disinfect or stop the bleeding. My feet are so dry today and my heels are worse than they were before because the pedicure is so basic (and I am sure the products they use are the cheapest brand you can find on the market). Sure, you can pay ala carte for additional scrubs and spa pedicures, but their prices are ridiculous. The pedicure chairs have NO massage feature !Now onto the manicure .....I told the girl TWICE that the color was not the same as the swatch I picked out, and she insisted it was. Trust me, it was not - the color is so far off from the swatch, and I dont like it at all and I have orange/rust colored nails instead of a dark mauve! BEWARE - this place does NOT use SNS products for a dip powder manicure, they use a generic brand and they charge $40 for a GENERIC BRAND dip powder manicure. I have never paid more than $35 for an SNS manicure. The final straw was while I was at the register checking out and in the process of leaving a tip in her envelope, she came over to hover again to see what I was leaving her for a tip and stared at me the entire time. Are you kidding me ? UNPROFESSIONAL !Dont get fooled by the beauty of this place, its an absolute joke ! The place was a ghost town on a Saturday afternoon - I wonder why !
Nice relaxing Pedicure ever! The girl did wonderful job, definitely come back soon!
I get my nails done there every 2 weeks, everyone is so nice, I feel very welcome they even know what I like and how I like it, the place is very clean, organize and I feel like royalty lol great place to relax and enjoy some me time, prices are fair, I cant pick my favorite person lol they all great and I can assure anyone will give you excellent service, I give a 5 stars but if there was is more I would give more, great place I love it.
Service was good and they did a decent job. Beautiful place and comfortable chairs. However, after I left my prepaid appointment, I was called back into the store for a mistake in the computer. Long story short, they almost made me pay another $90 because they didn’t see the money that was already paid. This was very annoying to wait and for getting a $50 mani pedi, that never should have happened. Also, the price is really unreasonable. For 2 mani pedis it was $90, which was insane. My nails did not look any different than a $15 mani pedi from any other salon down the street. Disappointed.
A bit pricey but very good.
They do an awesome job!
Nice place
Good place
Very professional
