Just had an amazing grinder from Phils! The bread is fantastic, I had the chicken grinder with fresh Pesto... Usually I cant have Pesto because Im allergic to pine nuts, but Phil does not make his with nuts so I had a treat!!! Love love love Phils!!!

The best place for bread, meats, grinders and more!!! I am getting worried it looks like its closing down. This is one of my favorits shops in Westerly alone with Westerly Packing. Always go to Phils!

Wanted a decent Italian grinder! They had the right meats, were very friendly, even asked what kind of onions, and peppers I preferred. Too bad the edge of the salami was green! Old meat! Good thing I didnt get sick. So far, no good pizza, or grinders in Westerly!

Phils is a real Italian Deli and market. No reason to go to Federal Hill! Phil, the owner puts his heart and soul into store from homemade cannolis to variety of freshly sliced meat & cheese. Grinders, Pizza, Pastries, Hot specialties galore.

Everything is fresh and homemade. The eggplant is the best Ive ever had. Ive been going to Phil!s for years, and have never been disappointed .

Ive recently moved to the area and have yet to find a good italian deli that rivals what I got in the Bronx. I came across this place somewhat randomly, but eagerly went in to purchase a few things. Bottom line up front: I made a mistake; dont purchase anything from Phil. Initially I was excited to discover three-layer jobs, but right after I ordered them, but too late to not purchase them, I realized they were only the classic stale factory made ones. Not the moist nice ones from a proper italian bakery. Then I order two types of meats, but sliced real thin. Any respectable deli slices their meats as thin as possible. What a shock when I opened one in the car and discovered the fattest cold cuts Ive ever seen. Not only is Oscar Meyer thinner, but I could have sliced thinner with my pocket knife. In fact, upon arriving home I measured the thickness with calipers, 2.5mm. What a shame. Needless to stay I will not be going back and recommend against anyone else going. I will say that Phil is a nice guy to put in something positive.
