If I could give them 0 stars I would. I order a package and it was shipped through them. I was informed that the package would be here Friday at 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., the package did not arrive until Wednesday at 3:00p.m.. when I got the package the box was all tore up and my product was longer good due to damages. If you have options to use another shipping service I would highly recommend going that way.

They deserve no star. The worst customer service we have been working with. Our package was delivered to a wrong place about two weeks ago. We called them more than 6 times, every time I was told it will be re-delivered tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow but never arrived. Just made another call, same thing, it will be delivered tomorrow. I asked to talk with their manager about this issue, and the lady just hand up the phone......
Horrible service and delivery. Sent a rare engine to Reno for a rebuild, waited nearly a year for it to be finished. Engine was delivered in what appeared to be good shape. Upon unwrapping, I found significant damage to the engine including a break in the engine case, it looks like something either fell on it or it was dropped off the end of the truck. Appears it was rewrapped to cover up the damage because there was no damage to the wrapping. Took 3 weeks working through the engine builder to get authorization to send it back for MORE repair and time lost. Sad part is this is a rare and expensive engine and the damage will put a significant hit on the car value. 5 ZERO stars
DO NOT USE THIS CARRIER COMPANY!!!!! hands down they are the worst shipping service I have ever used. I just got off my 5th phone call with this company and even after speaking with the manager the shipment is still running a week late. The only reason I even listed a single star rating is because this review requires it. No one I have spoke with even attempted to put any effort in to make this right. Every rep I spoke with had a snippy attitude and acted as if It was huge burden to even speak with me. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE and WORST SHIPPING CARRIER. I would even use FEDEX before I thought about telling someone to attempt to use these people.
I was told they would deliver between 10am - 2pm. We hired movers for $400 to bring the crate inside the commercial building and had them scheduled to be here at 2pm. When 2pm rolls around and no R+L Carrier, I call them. After several transfers and holds, I am connected with a woman who is very hostile from the beginning of the call. She tells me that they have the window of 9am to 5pm; I tell her that timeframe would be nice to know so I couldve coordinated the movers. She then tells me that she doesnt see that it is supposed to be delivered today. I tell her that it shows on their dashboard it is to be delivered today. She leaves and comes back-- telling me they forgot to load it in the truck. I can schedule you for tomorrow. We can give you a courtesy call 30 minutes prior, but my job is to schedule you for tomorrow. I tell her that this is not okay, that I will lose hundreds from having movers. If you do not want to schedule for tomorrow, I will contact the shipper regarding the dispo to send back. This is a medical clinic and turning on a dime like that- having another business in the building hold their business so the movers could move the crate inside... what!?! I then say that Ive lost money from having the movers here and ready, Maam, we are not going to refund you that. If you dont want to schedule for tomorrow, fine. They literally forgot to load it on the truck. I am out over $400 for the movers and if I dont schedule for tomorrow, theyll send it back. She kept maaming me throughout this conversation. I told her to stop maaming me and she hung up. Wow.Honestly, beware of this very questionable company who takes no accountability. I called the shipper; they were very kind and apologized for how I was treated. They were going to get on the phone to speak to the supervisor to try to make this right. I will keep you updated of R+L does make this right.
Had a $1,363 order of a generator. They received it on the 17th. I called for delivery on the 22nd. Was promised delivery on the 23rd. Did not show up. Called delivery was setup for 24th. Called after the window. Was told could deliver 25th. Guy hung up on me. Called the company I ordered from. Now RL said it is lost. Why setup delivery for something you do not have supposedly? Is it stolen now?
Never had such a unprofessional delivery experience. Guy was manually trying to push an 1100lb crate to the back of the truck. Almost dropped it off the truck. Damaged part of shipment getting it off the tailgate. Again pushing it with his hands. Inadequate fork lift. And very rude language as well. Zero stars.
Beware! I wish I could give R and L ZERO starts!!! They charged me an arm and a leg to ship a car door and when it arrived it was absolutely destroyed dented and scratched they obviously placed something on top of the door when they shipped it. The packaging was in tatters and deep dents and scratches now cover both sides of the the door. They said that they werent responsible because the door was used but I have pictures from before and after.
Rick (Dispatch) at SLC location should NOT be working where he deals with customers. I get dispatchers have a bad rep of being rude and obnoxious, but are you that bitter about your job to be rude to paying CUSTOMERS? Joke!!
Ehh, workers friendly, but loaders were way unsafe w.load....this is no way to stack a 45k loaded trl...had to strap it ourselves....insanity at best...Unloaders brought review to a 1 star, down 3 spots from a 4 star, due to unable to correctly load a trl, and yet leave drs, Again to fix your stupidity ...oiy.. .
Lost my thousand dollar shipment and did basically nothing to track it down or keep me informed. I called about 15 times until finally getting the company i ordered from involved to ship a replacement.
I would give R&L a 0 if I could. Watch out for R&L. I got a crate delivered today that was crushed. My girlfriend was told by the driver that he took pictures and noted that there was damage on the freight bill. He then informed her she need to sign the freight bill. Now R&L told us tuff luck that once the freight bill is signed there is nothing they can do. That is sleazy. Dont use a sleazy company like R&L.
We deliver and pickup regularly there and as always its smooth, easy and the folks are super nice!
Back to back shipments received from R&L showed up with forklift damage. Freight claims filed, pictures sent showing damage. R&L offers roughly $1.00 per pound to cover damage. Close to $3000.00 worth of material damaged, they could care less. With a large number of LTL carriers out there, be aware of the ones who are not willing to take responsibility for the freight they carry.UPDATE 11-20-203rd consecutive shipment arrived damaged. I can only imagine that I will be left with nothing to show for filing another freight claim for damage.Bottom line...R&L cares little for the freight they carry.Update 12-14-20Contacted R&L via their R&L Cares link as requested, not surprisingly, did not get a response. 3rd freight claim filed, and once again got pennies on the dollar to offset damage. If I could give less than one star I would.

Another company that thinks its okay to have a 9-5 delivery window. Dont tell them that though or theyll intentionally hold back your shipment just for spite. Horrible company with even worse employees that are completely unsupervised. They are literally playing games with my package as we speak. These guys should be in jail.
Overall service is average, we work with a lot of different ltl carriers, We have a National account and I must say that the dispatcher in the Salt Lake City terminal is extremely rude and uncaring. Need better customer service in this area!!
It’s a fairly average LTL yard. Has its share of lumps and bumps in the lot. Large enough to accommodate easy backing access to docks and places to drop loaded trailers. Their MTY lot is stacked 2-3 deep mist Times so you may have to move a trailer to get yours out.Otherwise the people are usually nice and treat one politely. The entrance is awkward to get in but lots of room once you’re inside.
Great customer service made sure that my freight was ready to go and shipped it on time.
My experience with this carrier began on a bit of a negative note as the first workbench had been damaged at some point. Not sure who in the logistics chain had been so careless with a forklift. However the delivery driver, Eduardo Ramos was excellent. Although rushed with pre-Christmas deliveries, he was professional, courteous and walked me through the refusal process without issueThe replacement workbench arrived today, and Eduardo was again the delivery driver. Once again he was a consummate professional and insured that I was pleased with the product before departingThank you Eduardo!

I just wanted to say my delivery driver today was so amazing, I really wish I could remember his name, but he was so completely helpful, even totally worked around my schedule and even worked past the time he was done for the day, just so I would be able to truly surprise my husband for his birthday. I wish I had cash on me I so dearly wanted to give him a tip to thank him for everything..And also a giant thank you to the lovely lady I spoke with yesterday and helped me track down my order through the confusion from the company I made the purchase from. She was extremely understanding and patient with me and my worry. Its not very often you receive really great customer service now a days, and it was so terrifically refreshing. Thank you so much for a great experience and for a great job very well done.
As far as freight carriers go, this company is one of the best. The proof is in their growth. They focus more on the customer than just numbers that look good on paper. And that is what some of the larger companies are missing. There are always grumpy employees in any operation, but I have nothing but a positive outlook working with this company.
I ordered a hood for my jeep, when I recieved my delivery from R & L carriers it was severely damaged we contracted the carriers right away spoke to Stewart a manager at R & L he didnt want to be bothered with my situation . Decided to stopped in with the hood to see if we could resolve the problem, Stewart is not only rude he has poor customer service skills. I wouldnt have anyone use your service it sucks!
**Update**The driver that regularly drops off my product has made his peace with me. He is friendly and always delivers product undamaged and clean. I hope not to have to work with Liberty ever again but the drivers are great.**Original Review**Im usually quite fond of R&L Carriers since theyve been shipping product to my company for many years now from a supplier called Cherryman Industries. We were in the process of moving locations when a shipment arrived at our old warehouse. That shipment got stuck on the truck and we didnt have the man power to down stack the pallets at the time (not that we should ever have to down stack pallets when we have a high dock).The driver then left and took the product back to the terminal because he didnt want to unload it by himself (which I totally understand). R&L then wanted to charge us $330 for a re-delivery due to a mistake that wasnt related to us. I spoke with Liberty who was completely unprofessional and unwilling to help us. She claimed that a different story came from her driver and that she has to take his word for it and not ours. We then offered to go pick up the product ourselves because the charges were outrageous, and they reduced the fee to $300. What a joke.My supplier ended up covering the cost to avoid further delays but if it was my choice, I would never ship through them again. I asked multiple times to speak with a manager who seemed to always be busy when I asked. Liberty should not be working in this department with the attitude she presented. Please avoid this company and ask for someone other than Liberty.

I deal with carriers on a regular basis and I have had some nightmare experiences. My recent experience with R&Ls SLC Terminal has fully restored my confidence in freight companies. They were right on top of my delivery and get me updated for every stop. Because of their service I turned a bad situation into a positive one for my customer. They really saved me and made me look good. You have my highest review.
Jordan Roberts walks into my office wanting to meet with my shipping manager to give a sales pitch, I let Jordan know that were very busy this morning and Id be happy to take his card and have the manager call him when he has some time to get some pricing and possibly use R&L and Jordan just stands there going on and on about how he really came in wanting to meet with shipping right now. Yeah, let me just go ahead and shut down our entire operation and delay everything were currently trying to get out the door because you ignored multiple No Soliciting signs on our front door and thought your non-scheduled visit was more important than anything we might have going on. Thanks at least for making it easy for us to choose *not* to use your business.
My company has used many different carriers over the years and R&L Carriers is our favorite. We usually ship between 5 & 10 shipments a week with R&L. R&L has the most on-time deliveries and the lowest damage rate of any of the carriers we have used. With prior carriers we would watch the invoices like a hawk because they were always adding on different charges, but we dont have that problem with R&L. If there is ever a billing issue our R&L Rep, Brian, usually catches it before we do and brings the price down to what we were quoted. I recommend R&L without any reservations!
Our customer asked us to use R&L. We do not normally use them for our shipping. I scheduled the pick up on 3/1/2018 at around 2:00 p.m. I scheduled the pick up for 3/2/2018 between 7:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. When they had not arrived by 3:15 I called to make sure they were going to be able to get there. I was told it would be 4:00. I stayed overtime to wait for them. When it became 4:20 and still no driver I called again. I was told that it would be another 45 minutes. The driver finally arrived at 5:06. So it took over 24 hours from the time I scheduled the pick up and 1 1/2 hours after the time they were supposed to arrive. Will never use them again.
The driver was early on stated time delivery slot; he was super efficient; was very courteous; made sure package was in good condition... I think he out did all the other carriers as far as efficiency, courtesy, and just a well done job..

They called a day in advance to set up a window of when they will deliver, telling us that they will call 30 min prior the delivery. The day of the delivery driver called when he attempted to come towards the house and the truck would not fit, he called to state he can not come, when asked why we were not called in advance the driver said 30 min here 30 min there i dont have that kind of time. The driver then said he will stop in an main street and we could help him push the package to the house. He stated he will return in 1.5 hours to attempt it. Waited for him for 2 hours only for him to call and say he is not coming, when asked for supervisor number he hung up. Called the R/L and they were rude as well. They re scheduled the delivery for another day and gave us a window, which they missed by an hour. Extremely unprofessional caused me to miss time off work.

Their slogan is we ship anything, anywhere, anytime, but that doesnt mean they wont lose your stuff. Terrible ltl service. They lost my stuff and its been 3 weeks. They didnt even try to contact me or figure a solution. They just blamed the holiday.
Horrible experience!. They were supposed to pick up the shipment two days prior to when actually did. I would have paid to expedite but they promised it would be here. I didnt get my delivery until after my deadline. What a waste of time money. I do not recommend!

Dont ever do business with Freightcenter or R&L Carriers. Ripoff artists!!!I used Freightcenter to ship a crate from Idaho to New Jersey in September. I logged onto my Freightcenter account and requested a quote. I was absolutely truthful in my quote, specifically that the crate was going to be picked up at a business (not residential) and no liftgate was required. We provided the forklift and loaded it onto the truck. I weight the crate so it was spot on. The address was exactly as quoted. The quote came back as $243 so I booked the shipment. Much to my surprise, I see a charge in December (over 2 months after the shipment) from Freightcenter for $208. I logged into my account and see Additional Charges (High Cost Pickup Area (Correct Pickup Zipcode is 83401)). I called Freightcenter to dispute the charges and they agreed the pickup area was not a high cost pickup area, it is on one of the citys main thoroughfares; Holmes Ave. Even if I had stated the wrong zip code it did not change anything. They also stated that there was nothing they could do since this was a charge passed on to them from R&L Carriers. Both Freightcenter and R&L Carriers refused to refund my money. As mentioned, I did everything by the book on the quote; the weight was accurate, no liftgate was required, and we loaded it onto the truck with a forklift which took literally 2 minutes.

I’d give more stars but my package was set for delivery on the day I said I wouldn’t be there while I waited all day on the one the scheduler and I agreed on (because I wouldn’t be there). They did call a half hour before while I was in another state.

I went through a really suspect quoting to ordering process. Maybe all carriers are like this, but the fact that I only had a rough price quote to go on all the way up until the package was picked up and in their custody, and then they tripled the price based on a slight weight increase, did not seem like a great way to do business. Maybe Im naive but I wouldnt use them again.
This carrier dropped of a single pallet in the parking lot of the building I work in.They would only bring the pallet inside for a service fee.Do not expect customer service from this company
